So how canopic jars work, is that when you die you will sometimes leave behind the jar. People on your friends list who have the game, can pick up the jar in the spot you died in their game. This doesn't happen everytime and is entirely random. My game doesn't seem to be saving, when I exit it reverts back to when I first start. Tried the upload/download save but when dog is tired, time does not advance forward for dog to wake up. btw, using 8.1 update on Lumia 925

for those, like me, who upon opening the game, would never receive messages, or see who invaded/offered help, I have a useful tip that helped me. I would enter the game in an offline state, by turning off WiFi and cell data. Then pressing home, turned both back on. Fast app switching back (hold the back button) I would force the game to connect to the server, usually just by tapping on the market. After a few seconds, all messages and invasions would pop in my town.
