  1. Thanks for this! Can you clarify what you mean by not every mission? Can you have SS, SS, SS, SS, S in the missions, still get an overall SS for the chapter, and it will give you the achievement? Also, when you say conscutive order, this means you can just replay through to any mission and you don't have to finish the chapter?
  2. The jump from Commander to Magnus is much more notable than the jump from Magnus to Prime.
  3. Hit RB to dodge at the last minute then press B to perform a grapple. You need to press the B button before everything slows down and you go into Focus mode. You can also use X and Y to perform Reversals in the same was as other characters.
  4. Nothing too difficult in the list. Most time consuming will be getting all SS ranks on Commander difficulty. However, this doesn't require much skill, all you need to do is spam Reversals with a weak rifle to rack up the points. Beating the bosses without a hit isn't too bad either, if you have strong SS weapons, use the Strength Boosting item and abuse checkpoints.
  5. I am now finished with all my Diablo gear, so feel free to drop me a message if you want it. It's not amazing, but will definitely give you a headstart as soon as you hit level 60 - approx 260% bonus gold plus decent magic find. Please note, I played Hardcore. Sultan of Binding Sand +55% Anadriel's Visage +27% Xephirian Amulet +55% Promise of Glory +26 Manald Heal +22% Lut Socks +21% Depth Diggers +26% Goldwrap +27%
  6. Hi everyone, Probably not many on D3 vanilla, but if you are still playing then feel free to add me. Looking for coop buddies, achievements, gear, etc. I already have 1000G on RoS but sadly can't import any of my hard-earned characters or gear to the vanilla. Lumbo
  7. Hi everyone, I am trying to find some up-to-date info on what some effective methods are for boosting RP. There appears to be a lot of things that have been patched, so any previous things that I have read aren't working. So, if anybody is able to share some tips and strategies, that would be great. 8. Hi Sonoshee. Well done, you managed to draw from my post the two things that I was inferring but didn't state, namely: (1) BT are just spitting out ribbons and not actually creating events for players, and (2) that they have no idea, or are not prepared to share with players, how long the ribbons will last. For me, that comes down to two things. First, they have created an achievement which invovles 'special' events and BT have not adequately, in my opinion, resourced this and we, as players/customers, have not received something that was intended and expected. (Note that dissatisfaction is when customers' expectations are not met). Second, it is a lack of clear communication. Yes, they put out Tweets but these often leave us no wiser than if they hadn't said anything. Overall, the impression I get are that BT are very minimally committed to GoW: J (obviously, understanding that they will have a lot of resources dedicated to the next game -- but planning should have been performed to ensure that the existing product was well maintained and the community happening, whilst working on the new one). All of that said -- I really do not think it was BT's plan to develop and administer these events so badly. I am unsure if you were speaking generally, or addressing me specifically, about the moaning (I will assume the former) but I feel that players have, in this instinance, legimitimate cause to express their dissatisfaction. Gears is a big franchise, we have expectations that have been set through three previous iterations of games, and, reminding ourselves that we are on an achievement forum, people will voice issues surrounding the events (or, lackthereof) and buggy stat tracking which resets your progress. I have no issues with waiting and playing the game over a prolonged period. I believe people will be less than happy when they are prepared to make that committment to the game but then experience no events over a period of many months. Let's just hope they continue to let this run for at least another couple of weeks and then, as I believe has been stated in their forums, run a new event every second week.
  9. Excellent, thanks for sharing Shoty. I was just about to edit my post to reflect that it seems to have been the same event for the last few days (i.e. domi-gnasher) but the ribbon keeps counting. Have there been different events over the course of the previous week? Also, it's bizzare that it's another week 'at minimum' -- why can't they just say upfront how long it will run for. Oh well, we shouldn't complain. 4/30 now......
  10. I haven't been online, so missed the start of the daily events.. something which I think I will regret in a few weeks or months. But it seems that the daily events are going on longer than planned; I have secured ribbons for each of the last three days. Seems to be typical of BT to not stick to a plan they make, but at least this seems to be in our favour. I hope they just let the daily events run indefinitely so that we can all finish this off.
  11. Everyone, firstly, please sign this petition to see if we can get more regular events: bit.ly/gears_achievement Thanks for sharing details that the domi-gnasher event isn't contributing towards ribbon progress. For some reason, my event progress appears to have been reset?? I have gone from 1 back down to 0. I hope this isn't an issue, and that it was just a problem with the server or something. Will check again tonight. But hey, going from 1 to 0 isn't that big of a deal in this situation Lumbo
  12. Hello XA community I have shared this information on the Gears of War: Judgment pages, but I believe this is also something the wider achievement hunting community should be supporting! I know that a gamers out there, myself included, still interested in unlocking the Sybarite achievement. This is where you need to play in 30 'special events' online. The problem with this, however, is that there are no new events. We are lucky if the events get updated once per month. I only have 1/30 events, having just started getting into the online. At the current rate of event changes, I may never get this achievement. There are obviously things that Black Tusk Studios can do. They can actually get more involved and start doing the events. Or, if they are done with Judgment, they can do as they did with previous Gears games and just throw everybody up to 29/30, set a new event, a let everybody unlock it. However, if we do not ask we will not get. We are, after all, customers. So let's use our collective voices to see if we can cause some action. Sign this petition below and we can hopefully get enough signatures in order for Black Tusk to take notice. Please, take a few seconds to sign it. Get your friends on Live to sign it. If you already have the achievement, sign it for the rest of the community. Post it as your forum sig. We are on the achievement site - so everybody reading this should take a few moments to help out the rest of the community. Here's hoping, achievement community! Sir Lumbo bit.ly/gears_achievement
  13. Hi everyone I know that a few of you are still interested in unlocking the Sybarite achievement. There have been over 200 views in the stickied Sybarite thread in the last two days. 14. Shame to read that so many people are getting frustrated and hating on the game because of its difficulty. Whilst I agree that it is challenging, had an unusual format for standard actions (i.e. parrying, zandatsu) and sometimes the camera was a bit sucky, the game is far from "broken". We should be grateful for the fact that this game is difficult and trying new things. Hell, I appreciated the fact that I need to practice and get good at the mechanics - this is what makes it so rewarding when you finally get it right. There are too many action games out there that are monotonously easy, so this was refreshing. It's been ages since I've played, but there was one boss I was trying to perfect that took me several days of replaying. (The psychic dude that liked to throw things at you from afar). When I finally got it down and was able to nail him repeatedly without a hit, it was pure gaming bliss. If you can't handle it, stick the difficulty down. The game on lower difficulties isn't that hard. If you are really struggling, there must be some mechanic that you are doing incorrectly or forgetting to leverage. For the bosses - take it steady. There is no rush. Running in and slashing like mad will most likely get you killed. There is a tactic to each boss, and all of their attacks can be dodged/countered. Anybody that throws a controller shouldn't be playing a game. I have never once thrown a controller in all the years I have played games, even as a child, so it makes me think unfavourably of those that do! And, for anyone reading, or still struggling on - keep at it, there will be a moment when it 'clicks' and that's worth working towards, in my opinion.
  15. Thanks for sharing! Still works as of 1st December 2014 - I'm from the UK. Shame the VR mission DLC wasn't free too, but hey, can't complain at two free packs. Also, visiting the Xbox store made me notice how many cool avatar items are available for this game. I refuse to pay for any, ever, but I wish some of them had been marked down to free, too!
