  1. So only been able to play about 2 - 3 hours so far due to a busy life, but it certainly feels like it is more intense than the first game so far. Leveling seems to be longer, and enemies feel like they are buffed up more. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but my one complaint is the aiming seems to be rather inaccurate, as I get perfectly lined up and bullet goes straight through the enemy. What are your thoughts as of right now??
  2. Actually I just saw the power discs at WalMart, unless its a completely different thing. May want to double check on that though
  3. LoL don't raise your daughter TOO Disney like. My fiance's dad works for Disney so she grew up around it her whole life. I love her to death, but she has REALLY expensive tastes!! In other news: Just learned about this game as it was on display at WalMart (where I work) and can't wait to get home and play it! Didn't enjoy skylanders too much, but I heard Disney might make marvel characters later so I am praying, as I LOVE Captain America, and hope they will bring him out! If not, fairly easy achievements plus I am helping support a company that put my girl through college!
  4. I am a WalMart employee and just picked up the starter kit. I ended up receiving a $15.00 gift card so perhaps this is what they mean by half off. Get the starter kit and you receive fifteen, which you can use after the purchase on the three character pack.
  5. Just curious... I saw "Casual gamer" get tossed around a lot there, and typically in bad terms. Is being a "Casual gamer" really a bad thing?? I classify myself as a "Casual gamer" because I work 2 jobs and attend college, so I am DEFINITELY in the category of "Casual gamer" as I don't get a lot of time for games these days due to deployments overseas, doing a lot of overtime, and a lot of I.T. homework (oh man does it have homework involved with security, computer forensics, and networking!!!). I don't agree nor disagree with duping. If you enjoy playing that way so be it. If you prefer it on the easiest level great for you. But why throw "casual gamer" around as if it's bad?? It really isn't a bad category. Can't we all just get along?!?! If not...I know THIS rather well...
  6. SOOOO...Basically if I'm reading this correctly, we're gonna have to play two different characters to get the full 1,000g? One up to level 60 on softcore, and one character up to 30 (minimum) for the hardcore achievement? Or would it be stackable for the achievements on that (Only the leveling portion, as I play on PC, and realize there's a difference between hardcore/softcore)? Either way, looks like a very easy 1,000g to me, and definitely looking forward to it!! I'm going Monk myself, as I play Monk/Barbarian on PC. 170 hours with my Barb which is now level 60 (11 paragon), and my monk is around 60 hours at level 60 (20 paragon). Monk is BY far stronger, IMO, than the Barb is.
  7. Haha, again, keyword is try to have fun and not focus on only the achievements
  8. As already stated, practice makes perfect. I'm in the same boat, I will NEVER be able to 1,000g this due to not being even half way decent at this. I can hold my own against a computer in medium, but beyond that, not a chance. Go against a person? Forget it. I can't combine the moves enough, always judge wrong on when to block and when to push forward, ect. No chance what so ever online. But I didn't get it expecting to 1,000g it either. In the end it's about enjoying a storyline and having what fun with it you can Just try to enjoy what you can, and not focus strictly on achievements.
  9. I think this great is fairly well put together. The story mode is pretty awesome (granted, I am only about 25% done so far...). I am HATING the online personally, since every single match I have been in has been nothing but a lag fest. Well over 75% of my blocks don't even count which aggravates the heck out of me. Aside from the online, I know I'm NEVER going to be able to complete all of the Battles (one challenge I know I won't be getting!), which is ok. I already know that I suck like no other in fighting games (and most PVP in general..Just not a big fan, unless it's in a shooter). I just hope Nether Realm could do a Marvel version. The one complaint that I do have is with the S.T.A.R. Labs. I love the idea, and the missions are well placed, but feels too generic to an extent as the challenge tower in MK, and even before that it feels like the challenges from Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Isn't there any originality there?? But this is VERY VERY VERY Minor complaint, as I still enjoy the heck out of it!
  10. Sounds reasonable to me! At least it can be confirmed with the larger characters that air is not "required" (just has to hit) Great guide btw! Keep up the great work!
  11. To add on to this neither "Sky Grapple" or "Up Batarang" moves require the opponent to be in the air. I was in Versus with a second controller and pitted against Lex Luther, hit with both of those moves while Lex was on the ground, and the achievement popped. Just need to be close enough for them to hit.
  12. Well since this is (possibly) my first post ever made on this website, I figured I'd post up mine and explain it a little bit. I graduated high school in 2006, and then immediately went into the Army. I served as a 19K, or M1 Armor Crewman (tanker), then went to Alaska and drove Strykers (which are well represented in Modern Warfare 2). I served in Iraq from September 2008 to September 2009, so this is a bit behind my emblem. I used to have it set as a Combat Action badge (or at least the closest I could come up with), since I was with the infantry and ended up seeing combat. Most times you'll find me playing hardcore game modes, and if not I'm playing domination or sabotage. Hope y`all like the emblem as much as I liked making it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v462/vaeringard/279468_10150236802322047_505952046_7782607_6419404_o.jpg http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150236802322047&set=a.10150236802312047.318520.505952046&type=1&theater
  13. Feel free to add me if anyone wants. GT = armytanker06 I don't normally play online, just using it to message friends at the moment. once I get more money flowing for me I'll get a gold account again and start playing more online.
  14. Well, I have both xbox 360 and ps3, as well as two computers, and since I'm on ps3trophies.com, figured I would come here and start working on getting up some of my xbox 360 achievements. I do like to get achievements/trophies/medals so, every last one helps I'm 22 years old, engaged male. Served 3 1/2 years in the active duty Army as a 19K, M1 Armor Crewman. After my tour in Iraq I got out, joined the Air Force Reserves (been in about two months now) as a 2T2x1, which is Air Transportation. Looking to go to college to get my Bachelor's in Computer Science. Always looking to make some friends, so feel free to add me if you want on XBOX - armytanker06 or ps3: vaeringard Looking forward to making some friends here
