  1. I equipped the Targeting System perk today, but it didn't give me any new interfaces when at the turrets... and I didn't stumble into a button press that sets an enemy as a priority target. Anyone figure this out yet?
  2. Is it required to finish or even win the level for the drops to count?
  3. Holy sh*t guys, I just got it. After months of intermittent playing, most while pooping, I kind of froze when that little green drop-down appeared. Slowly, a smile crept across my face and a deuce was dropped. But really, keep the faith. I figured I'd never get there... but it happened.
  4. Note: these are not full lists, as the possible words are limited to the layout of my board. 5. After reading some information on here, I switched up my language to Swedish, despite not knowing a single word. Here's all you need to know: 1) It's significantly harder now than it was when Wordament just released Swedish as a language option. It took me a few weeks of working on it an hour a day. 2) I actually hit the top 250 in average score per round (even though I speak no Swedish) 3) No Wordament solver is needed. Follow the following pattern. Work your way around the board testing Consonant-Vowel-Consonant 3-letter words. As soon as you find one, test he following suffixes: +A +S +AS +AN +AR +AT +ANS +ARS +ATS +ER ... Then try doubling the last consonant, if possible. Then try replacing the first consonant with consonant-blends like ST+, STR+, TR+, SL+, SK+, and KN+. When done correctly, you'll find one 3-letter word normally worth ~10 points and then quickly find 8~10 permutations on it resulting in multi-hundred points from that one root word. For example I found this one pretty commonly: RAT RATT RATA RATTA RATAS RATTAS ... On a "good round", after getting my routine down I'd hit 800~1000. A "bad round" was anything under 500. Averaging 480 got me in the top 250 in the world. 4) At the end of each round, scroll down and examine the un-found 3~5 letter words to get a feel for what letter combinations are common in Swedish. 5) bahDINK. 'cheevo popped.
  6. Overview: -Estimated Achievement Difficulty: 7/10 -Offline Achievements: 18 (200) -Online Achievements: 0 ( 0 ) -Approximate time to achieve 200/200 : 20+ Hours -Minimum playthroughs required: 4 -Missable Achievements : If you take damage on a level, you'll have to come back and replay. -Glitched Achievements : The game is glitched, see below. -Achievements disabled by cheats: No Cheats. -Does difficulty affect unlocking achievements: Yes. Game Glitched: If you don't already own this game, don't buy it. It glitches sporadically, losing all game progress. Best I can tell, here are reasons why it might glitch: You 'Reset' a level from the pause menu You waited more than 24 hours between games You quit the game without pausing PRO-TIPS The Endless Maze http://i.imgur.com/q6ptT.png Green - Enemy Spawn Red - Your Base Brown - Trenches Orange - Gate Keepers Here's the gist... fill the trenches with infantry emplacements (tripod guys), with the exception of Meat Shields (see below). The two orange squares to the right represent your gate. Only one of these two squares can be closed at any given time, but you can open/shut the gate at any time to funnel the enemy all the way through your trenches... and at the last moment, flip the gate so they have to go all the way back out and around. Repeat as necessary. Requires two clear paths to your base, but you temporarily block one to steer the enemies as you wish. Works GREAT for extra-HP AT-ST's and extra-HP speeder-bikes. The Meat Shield You know those $10 infantry units? Yeah, they're you're new meat shields. Place them on the front lines anywhere you have units taking damage. They're uber cheap, and if you want to make them even cheaper, sell the unit with a sliver of health before rebuilding. You'll get 50% of your cost back regardless of remaining HP. Works great at the front of your trench maze, and ESPECIALLY well directly in-front of expensive buildings as a tie-fighter deterrent. Just be sure to rebuild as soon as they're destroyed for that loverly padding of human lives. Anti-Air Placement I often place 1x generator and 1~2x X-Wing towers to the extreme left of the map, away from the enemy spawns. If necessary a couple trenches to steer enemies away. They never get targeted and provide maximum coverage against Tie-Fighters. Your trenched tripods should clean up any that get through the initial X-Wing defense. Anti-Armor The trickiest part of the game is placing some anti-armor when the AT-AT's start showing up. You'll want it near the leftern side of the map, but placed in a place that takes no/minimal damage. Either snowspeeders (fully upgraded) or Ion Cannons (do NOT upgrade) work well, but I'd suggest 1x of each. If you've got the cash and it's an extra-HP version, plop a few extra ion cannons around to be safe. ACHIEVEMENTS They're all extremely straight forward and self explanatory. With the exception of High Score Award and Logistics Award, all other point/kill based achievements are cumulative across game levels and game types.
  7. Needs a lot of work. Bare bones are there, can be used as a basis for a guide. 1. 2. 3. 8. Just come back when you have 2x Gungairs and the tripod legs. After cutscene, deploy legs. Shoot in face. Shoot legs. Shoot in face. I won in 33 seconds.
  9. I was able to play through all 15 missions, broken between many play-sessions, without restarting a level and without the game-save being lost. I thought I had it figured out! I went back, successfully replayed 2 of the stages I didn't do perfectly, while doing the third... it just lost the game-save. Ugh. Rage. If you develop a system that works better, let me know.
  10. I am looking for 1~2 people who have a double GoW setup (2 consoles, 2 games, 2 gold accounts) for some double-box boosting. I've got 2, my buddy has 2, we're looking for another 2/4 player slots to fill. Benefits: goes ~2x as fast as only 1/2 the gamertags are getting kills. Works great for weapon/kill-based 'cheevos: * A Series of Tubes * Don't You Die On Me * Fall Down Go Boom * Pistolero * The Nuge * I Spy With My Little Eye * Don't Hurt 'Em * It's A Massacre * Curb Appeal * Capital Punishment * Is It A Spider * The Money Shot * Seriously...
  11. Here's a brief description about how I am solo-boosting General Rank (Running the Show). It takes upwards of 30 hours of actual game-time to trade your way to General. Add in jerkwads who don't reciprocate, and all the lost time when you can't randomly pair up with your partner, loading screens, slow partners... etc. -- This achievement is a beast. I cut out more than half of that time by doing the following: * Borrowing a friend's 360 * 360-VGA cable + computer monitor next to my main gaming setup * 2nd copy of Halo Wars (borrow, rent, buy used; I actually found mine at the local library for free borrow) Now for the real gem: how to always get paired up together. I didn't want to re-buy the DLC (just to get a smaller potential partner pool), so I tested a few ideas and narrowed down the following procedure that has never failed to pair my 2 xboxes up on the first try: * Get both boxes ready to search on the Deathmatch 1v1 playlist (smallest free gamer base, usually) * Start one xbox searching * When the 1st xbox gets the orange text (something about Rank) start the 2nd xbox searching NOTE: if for some reason, both screens don't say "Found Player" at the same time you have about 1.5 seconds to hit 'B' to cancel out and avoid the loading screens. Now, do your normal boosting routine (which usually involves the covenant priest or a scarab blasting a repeatedly built base/building). BLAM. No more wasted time.
  12. I'm available most any night after 8pm EST to boost any of the following RDR 'cheevos: Liars & Cheats * Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Face Yes, I have a mic. Yes, I'll show up on time.
