  1. For a limited time you can get the Carolingian Gear Pack for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The Carolingian Gear Pack includes a gear set, amount, a pigeon in a raven skin, a shield, a weapon, a naval skin set, and a naval prop set. You should be able to sign up for a free trial and then get the gear pack. Details here: https://gaming.amazon.com/loot/acv?ingress=amzn&ref_=SM_ACV01_P1_CRWN
  2. Ok, thanks. I think I'm out of luck because i'm 99% sure it got removed somehow when I had to reinstall Windows. :/
  3. I had an issue with my Windows 8.1 laptop some time ago and had to reinstall it. As a result, my GFWL games have disappeared from my computer. I've reinstalled the GFWL client, but my games are no longer there. I'd like to reinstall games like Tinker and finally finish them but I don't think I can because I get an error message telling me that my purchases cannot be found. Is this the result of them no longer supporting the service? I had thought that we could still play our games, but are our purchased games lost in a situation like this?
  4. As many of you probably know, once you reach Nightmare level 8, the controls of the game change. You can no longer gain momentum by using the space bar. Hell, you can't even gain momentum with a controller any longer. And, to make matters worse, the rotation is slower than it is in the rest of the game. Was this an accident resulting from a change in the controls that they never finished changing for the last level? Did they do it purposely to up the challenge? Either way, it's annoying. It's going to be a bit of a challenge, but I'll feel pretty good once I've done it! Also, for those who haven't finished it and don't already know, it's been said that instead of using the keyboard only, if you use the "C" key with one hand and use a controller to turn with the other, this is supposed to be easier. Here's hoping.
  5. I voted 7 out of 10. Overall, the game is rather easy once you get used to it. But, then you hit Nightmare level 8... where for some reason you can no longer use the spacebar or a controller to create momentum and the rotation is slower. You get to the very last level and the controls change! Way to mess up and screw with the players. Still, it's a decent challenge and I'm looking forward to getting that last level completed.
  6. Because some of us live busy lives and don't want to hang out in the forums much. I work a lot of hours and so only get onto the forums for any site on occasion (case in point, it's been quite a while since I've been on these forums and so am only now seeing that you've replied to me). A basic function such as editing your own profile shouldn't require a minimum of posts but only in a certain group of threads. If you're going to do that, then simply require a "Hello, my name is..." post in a new member thread and call that good - but make sure to put that in the sign up process so you don't get a bunch of people asking about how to edit their profile and why does it take 5 posts to edit a profile when all they want to do is stat track. It doesn't matter how "simple" it is to post in a forum; it shouldn't be a requirement.
  7. I've wondered that too. Not everybody is here for the forums. I barely use them, but am primarily here for the achievement guides and game walkthroughs, as I expect a number of others are, too. But we have to use the forums to do even basic edits to our profiles and then hope that our posts don't get deleted, or the threads we post in to get closed, or those posts get removed from our post counts.
  8. As was mentioned by someone else, I don't know why you were sent here (or by whom) if an achievement isn't showing on your Xbox profile. You'll need to contact Xbox Support via http://support.xbox.com/contactus or try calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Make sure to let them know that you redeemed the code for your Day One achievement (I assume you did anyways) and that it is not appearing on your profile.
  9. They keep telling us something is coming.... but I think they're related to George R.R. Martin... "Winter is coming!"... lol
  10. So, I've been trying to get back into my backlog and this is one that I've currently been working on. The main issue I'm having is that at random times, the game will stop recognizing my fingers as touching the touch screen. I'm hoping for some tips or advice that might make this easier to get finished. I did see an older post regarding playing it on a Windows 10 laptop, but I'm still on Win 8.1... I had upgraded to 10 at one point, when I could get it for free, but the laptop just couldn't handle it (and I just can't justify the expense of a new laptop right now, especially just to get through an old WP game lol).
  11. Also, if any of you would like, as I have a similar thread on another site, I could add your friend codes there, too. I won't do it without permission
  12. I have fixed my two typos in the original post... Henatrice should be 5868 0444 5290 Hellhound should be 0609 6324 8430
  13. Thanks for the info. I won't cry if the achievement case goes away, but if it stays, I'd hope to see it get updated along with everything else. )
  14. It's now 2019 and it's been "in the works" since 2014... Hopefully this will be implemented soon and will include Xbox One games, etc., in the Achievement case.
