  1. Trains was actually included with the console release. You can access it from the Campaign screen off of the main menu using the trigger buttons. It's also how you access the second campaign, but that one requires beating the first. I think Trains can be started at any time, but I'm not sure. I'm going to play through in the proper order. I've having a good time with it, I'll be starting Mission 4 tonight. I'm surprised at how lengthy the missions are (at least for me). Mission 3 took me close to three hours to finish.
  2. Multiple other users are reporting losing their saves on Reddit. I'd stay away until this is resolved.
  3. So, I started over on a new save Profile on Normal and ran through the first 2 chapters. In Chapter 3 I recruited the characters whose achievements didn't pop the first time through - killed something - and they still didn't pop. The 2nd godstone also didn't pop. Also, I made sure to check that the game was saved by going to the Load Screen, and exited the game to the main menu - then closed the game. When I reopened it my save file was gone. 4 hours of work, down the drain - as well as the initial file that I lost that was probably another 4. Not worth the frustration. Good game, loved what I played - but I won't touch it again until this is figured out.
  4. I'm sitting on 3 achievements that should have unlocked, but didn't. 2 for kills as specific characters, and one for a godstone. This doesn't bother me. However, I was at the end of Chapter 3 on my hard playthrough and the game crashed and I got sent back to the dashboard as a battle was initializing. I restarted the game and find out that it will only load from the end of Chapter 2 - so I lost a few days of playtime. This really bugs me. I don't understand, as the saves in Chapter 3 existed. I loaded various Chapter 3 saves over the last few days, but none of them show now. This is the second game in a row that I've partially lost my progress on due to getting sent back to the home screen. I'm wondering if it's an issue with my xbox.
  5. Thanks for the guide. I just came to check the forums as I completed the Market Garden campaign and the achievement did not unlock. Any tips? At the beginning of each session (I did it over multiple days) I loaded the savegame. I can load the latest autosave that it created and it shows all missions complete (awards checked). I'm a bit worried as this game is looong. Each mission takes me close to an hour - I'd hate to have wasted 8 hours and am worried to attempt it again.
  6. Just starting today - please add me gamertag "eohjay"
  7. I've been looking into this game for a while now - I'm going to be picking it up shortly. I did notice something on TA that may help speed up the online boosting portion (which is what has kept me away from the game). Apparently, quitting the online match DOES count - in a sense. The losing player should be the one quitting, and this will count as both a win, and a match played, for the player who stayed. However, the losing player will not get any credit towards the "played" game amount, nor a win (obviously). This is OK, however, because when they get 100 Wins, they will also get the 100 matches played achievement. If the player who is not hosting the game is the one to quit, and they quit after the kick-off, it works perfectly. Credit goes to the original solution author at True Achievements. This eliminates a lot of time spent skipping turns until the end of a match.
  8. You don't have to clear your cache or play this offline. It works fine online without clearing your cache. Using your tip, I wrote up the following and it seems to work perfectly. Thanks for your tip - Bejeweled is a huge blemish on my card, but I hope to eventually finish it. 1) Select the mode that you would like to beat. 2) Play to a point at which you feel is about as far as you can comfortably get on a regular basis. 3) Press Start and exit to the main menu. This will create a quicksave of sorts. Generally, this save can only be used once. However, after following the below steps you should be able to reuse it indefinitely. 4) Once at the main menu begin Endless Mode. 5) When Endless Mode begins press Start and exit to the main menu. 6) Go back to the mode you were trying to beat - it will load up at the level that you were on when you exited out. Attempt to beat the level. 7) If you fail, load up your Endless Mode save. This will "refresh" your save for the mode that you failed. Exit Endless Mode by saving. 8) Load up the mode that you previously failed and try again. Repeat as many times as needed.
  9. There is a decent write up with details over at IGN. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/21/xcom-enemy-within-announced-tons-of-details
  10. The list of NTSC-J region games that I'm interested in has been slowly growing over the past few years and it's finally at a point where I can warrant picking up the console. I had a few somewhat general questions regarding the console that I was hoping to have answered by someone who is familiar with owning a NSTC-J 360 in the US. I've read that controllers and accessories are not region locked. Can anyone confirm this? Does this mean I can use my assortment of US controllers and wouldn't need to purchase new ones? I've also heard that you can use the US power cord (power brick) to power the japanese console because the 360's PSU is actually housed in the cord, not the console itself. Can anyone confirm this? I'd like to have all the games I play recorded on my current gamertag. Could my tag be saved to the cloud, or a usb stick, and brought back and forth between consoles with much issue? Any other information that anyone thinks would be useful - please let me know. I'm sure I may have some other questions, but that is it for now.
  11. Setting up a boosting session that you can join over at TA for Quadrangular, Alliance Maker and Triangular if anyone is interested. Also, I'm still interested in boosting to 200 wins in sets of 5 every so often.
  12. As an addition to the above - it appears that better translations have surfaced along with more information. Here is a link to a game walkthrough. It is in japanese, but a google chrome translation is fairly well and should help your through the game. It lists victory conditions of each battle. The last chapter lists the battles required to recruit the special characters. This game is not region free and will require a japanese xbox to play. That is, unfortunately, the only thing stopping me from playing it (as well as the other 5 or so SRPGs that weren't brought state-side). Character Ranking (100) A character has reached level 100. (I would assume this is as easy as leveling one of your party members to level 100. I do not know whether this will occur with regular play or if you'll need to grind post-story.) Do 10,000 Damage (100) Unleash a 10,000 damage combo. (Deal 10,000 damage during a single combo. A post over at TA makes this seem fairly easy - he found a enemy weaker than his party by 8 levels and had his entire team involved in a combo from behind.) Entire Enemy Defeat (100) Number of enemies defeated exceeds 1,000. (Defeat 1,000 total enemies. I do not know whether this will occur with regular play or if you'll need to grind post-story.) Random Map Clearing (100) Cleared 100 random maps. (Complete 100 different random battles. I do not know whether this will occur with regular play or if you'll need to grind post-story. I also don't know if story-required battles count or if they must be random battles.) Skill I (50) Learned Hyakki Night (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Skill II (50) Byrne learned Space (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Skill III (50) Learned H.G.M.M. (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Skill IV (50) Tian Fengshan learned Destroy (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Skill V (50) Learned Rikidaiza (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Skill VI (50) Arrow learned God (I believe all of the skill-related achievements are obtained by having a specific character obtain a specific skill. The skills, as far as I can tell, are earned by leveling up - so it's just a matter of leveling the specific characters.) Special Character 1 Joined (100) Juju joined the party (It appears that all three special characters can join on playthrough one at the end of the game. Different missions are required for each.) Special Character 2 Joined (100) Gaza joined the party (It appears that all three special characters can join on playthrough one at the end of the game. Different missions are required for each.) Special Character 3 Joined (100) Reguraito joined the party (It appears that all three special characters can join on playthrough one at the end of the game. Different missions are required for each.)
  13. You know, I don't really mind the actual battling aspect of all of these damned arena battles that I have to grind. What I hate is the fact that I have to manually talk to the NPC and select the next battle between each and every battle. Navigating that menu is AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH.
