Dude, so i used your strategy and believe it or not, it worked on the first try. One save and reload but I was so lucky. No tough civs, all on one island (no boat needed) and a blitz/infiltration horseman army. Built a couple more horsemen armies to hurry it along. I finished in 950 AD. Thanks for the help. That was sweet.
