Creech
Hello fellow racers! I was talking with a fellow staff member about the game and they were having some struggles. It turns out that instead of upgrading and tuning manually, he was using the autotune option. This is definitely not the approach to take if you want to do well, so I gave him a few pointers. I think that one thing the forum could use is a comprehensive listing of tuning and upgrade setups for each car. This is WAY more work than I have time to do myself, but as a community if knowledgeable folks each toss in one or two, hopefully we can develop a large list to help out our fellow racers. As I buy new cars I will put in my setup and will also maintain a master list linked to each post below. It probably will be easier on people if we do one car per post, although that certainly is not a requirement. Please note that multiple setups for the same car are fine. I race one way, which is my style (typically handling over speed) and other people will set up their cars differently. The more comprehensive this is, the more useful it will be for everyone else. The information should be the car, rating being tuned to (D, C, B, A, S, R, X) and then the choices purchased. Any tuning done should also be included. It gets out of control on me very easily, so the amount of downforce I have the bumper and wing is designed to counter this. However, it also knocks speed off the top end... If you are better at keeping the back end under control on corners than I am, you can drop the downforce and do better on the straightaways. I would like to point out that with this setting, I did get gold on my first try on every event against the Pro Drivatars, so this isn't a bad set up by any means. It just is nowhere near the fastest. Edited January 31, 2014 by Creech
