  1. Not sure anyone cares about themes, but I noticed that the Super Villians Theme is free for this game. Just look up Batman: Arkham Asylum under the "Themes and Gamer Pics" section on Live.
  2. Do you think multiplayer is a great addition to Arkham City or should they concentrate more on the single-player experience?
  3. Is there an easy way to beat loads of enemies?
  4. I've been a gamer all my life, as well as a Batman fan. I would be the first of all my friends to rush off to Blockbuster and rent the newest batman game. Oh the memories I have with Batman Returns on Genesis... There was just one problem with that, none of them were really GOOD games, but then years later.. came Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum was instantly considered to be the best batman game of all time, and I would have to agree with that. Not only was it an exceptional batman game, but a great game for anyone to pick up and play. This got me thinking back on all the games I've played in the past simply for the "character". With that said, I think when the day comes I play a Spawn game that is on par with Arkham Asylum's quality, I can die a happy gamer. So what character would you like to see finally get the game he/she deserves?
  5. This achievement can only be obtained through story mode, not freeplay. The easiest way that I found to do this would be to go to level thirteen, Core Instability, and have a second controller join in. The entirety of this level is spent in a vehicle so you don't have to move the second player at all. If you have already completed this level, you can access the computer in the Batcave and select replay story.
  6. I'm so excited for the new DLC I can't wait to see how it ends such an awesome story! But there are still some openings in which i'd love to see in the next Batman game - Hush: He has such a cool story, we only found out a small portion of his plan. - Clayface: He pulled off the role of a lifetime, and could have a big part in the next game (if he's still alive) - Scarecrow: One of the coolest villains in the game! There's easter eggs all around Arkham City that hint towards a Scarecrow appearance, whether it be his secret boat hideout thingy OR those cryptic messages received by radio signal. - Calendar Man: After finishing his side mission I'd love to see another psychological villain really play with Batman. - Bane: Last time we saw him he betrayed batman, and it seems like his story with his addiction to T.I.T.A.N could lead in numerous directions. Azrael: At the end of his mission he warns Batman of the devastating future, and I still consider him mysterious! Joker:... we'll see? Can't wait to see where RockSteady takes us next!
  7. Yes i know theres 2 videos up here already, Another one wont hurt...i made one on Release Day of DLC, nothing much else i can say but i hope this helps [ame= ] [/ame]
  8. Catwoman Bundle Pack - Estimated achievement difficulty: 8/10 - Offline: 6 (150:gsicon:) - Online: 0 - Approximate amount of time to 150: 5-7 hours - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 - Number of missable achievements: None - Glitched achievements: None - Unobtainable achievements: None - Cost of DLC: $9.99 Introduction: The Catwoman Bundle Pack comes with new copies of Arkham City, otherwise it can be purchased on the Marketplace. It includes a few interim chapters to the story that adds some filler, allows you to free roam Arkham City, and play as her in the Challenges and Campaigns. Catwoman plays very differently to Batman, which makes navigating Arkham City a bit of a chore and adds a brand new level of difficulty to the challenge mode. Be sure to take some time to learn how she works, especially her grapple jumps. Step 1: Story Mode (2 achievements 50:gsicon:) If you've had the Catwoman DLC from the beginning of the game, these will come naturally as you play through the main game with Batman. If you got the DLC after the fact, you can use a chapter select function and play through her segments. Step 2: Story Mode mop-up (2 achievements for 50:gsicon:) After you complete the main game you'll be able to switch freely between Catwoman and Batman. Catwoman has one postgame mission that consists of beating up specially marked thugs, and then her own set of Riddler trophies to collect. Step 3: Challenges and Campaigns (2 achievements 50:gsicon:) Now for the hardest part, the Challenges and Campaigns. All the maps are identical to Batman's, but the way she plays makes it an entirely different task. For Combat Challenges with bosses, Catwoman lacks any electric attacks to keep the Twins at bay, so the best approach is to just pound on them and jump over them when you're in trouble; if thugs are giving you trouble, use Whip Trip (+) to give you some breathing room. Titans are still manageable with Ultra Stun (:bbut:), but Catwoman can't rodeo them to weaken other henchmen and pump up your score, so you'll need to prioritize Titans or they'll harass you the entire time. At times she seems uncooperative and unwilling to do what you want, but with enough persistence and practice you'll be able to complete these.
  9. You see i have completed 100% of the riddles 240/240 on normal mode. BUT it seems i have not achieved the achievement "Riddle Resolver" which is to complete 85% of the riddles which i have done, what should i do

  11. What a pain in the ass. I must really suck, seeing as how I can't get past the 3rd wave of skeletons. The slightest graze with the torch and you're done. Friggin stupid. Anyone else frustrated with this challenge map, and wondering how people have such high scores on it? http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/626/jokersigcomic1.jpg
  12. Okay dunno if anyone else grabbed this but there is a riddler trophy in the demo. Right in the first area theres a grate behind where you start, rip it off and go in to find it. This was hinted by the big old ?'s in one of the cells the inmates break free from. Also in the last challenge room if you go into the centre offices and hit detective vision one pane of glass seems to have a ? without the dot and the "unhackable" security terminal in here leads to a locked door. Any Ideas? One last thing what are all the takedowns, ive done ledge, verticle, ground, corner and dropped on a guys head (not a takedown but cool) and also wondering how to break the offices glass in the final room
  13. opened box, saw scratched baterang. got sad. called gamestop. they say it is supposed to be scratched as a part of the look. but ive seen the baterang at E3, and it didnt look scratched. so, i just wanted confirmation weather or not my local gamestop is completely filled with idiots, or just half-filled with idiots.

  16. If this has been posted...Sorry, I didn't find it anywhere. But I wanted to know what is you all's favorite villian in Batman is and why: The Joker Two-Face The Riddler The Penguin Mr. Freeze Poison Ivy Catwoman Harley Quinn The Scarecrow Spellbinder Red Hood Mad Hatter Black Mask Clay Face If they're are anymore, please tell me and i'll add them, i'm only writing ones that might be in future movies or were already in past movies...but I think that's all of them. Only name some you think might be in the future movies or were in past movies. But my favorite Batman Villian would have to be The Joker. Jack Nicholson played The Joker great in Batman. If you want to you can say you're favorite villian in any other movie too.
  17. END OF GAME SPOILER BELOW!!! Wasn't it a letdown I mean how do you kill off joker like that? And I feel as if towards the end the story got rushed whereas in asylum it all flowed together well..though I did like how city was a little more challenging and there were a lot more upgrades. Thoughts?

A lot of people from here really has made my Dark Souls stream a lot of fun. [The quality is a work in progress, its currently decent (actually looks a little better in non full screen imo), but expect it to get better. Was excited about this game and wanted to share it with you. So enjoy, while overlooking the "okay" quality. In the very near future we will be updating streaming equipment, so we'll have a better picture, plus we'll get voice chat working]

  20. Saw 2 differences between the games and the movies Harvey Dent was turned into Two Face because he fell in oil that was ignited while trapped in a building in the movie. But in the game his description says acid was thrown in his face/body. Another thing is that Bane is just a really strong and powerful guy in the movie, but in the game hes a superhuman because of the substance venom. (or perhaps they're different characters.) And if you know any other differences could you clear them up, those are just off the top of my head
  21. Just checking to see if anyone else is having this issue: Before the patch, my game would do the random freeze issue, but now, I have just installed the update and whenever I load up the game, it goes to a black screen and doesn't change. My xbox is not frozen however, and I can return to the dashboard and repeat the process.
  22. Credit to Xx Overkill VR for the introduction and estimated difficulty/time to completion. Overview: -Estimated achievement difficulty: 6/10 -Offline: 50 (1000:gsicon:) -Online: 0 -Approximate amount of time to 1000: 25-35 hours -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2 -Missable achievements: No -Do cheat codes disable achievements?: None -Does difficulty affect achievements?: Yes (Normal or Hard unlock New Game+) -Glitched achievements: None -Unobtainable achievements: None Introduction: The sequel to the 2009 GoTY, Batman Arkham Asylum. Unlike its predecessor, Arkham City allows Batman to roam free in his environment. The open world experience compliments the gameplay by giving one the freedom necessary to reign terror on the villains and thugs that are encountered throughout the game. There are many villains taking up the star roles however there are even more in the side quests which will take up most of your time, especially the Riddler Trophies/Riddles. Step 1: Story Mode (16 achievements for 290:gsicon:) Play through Story mode on Normal or Hard mode. As you play you'll encounter many side stories and collectibles; you can tackle them now or save them for postgame, as you can continue playing after you complete the story. Step 2: New Game+ (1 achievement for 75:gsicon:) Play through New Game+, which is identical to Story Mode except for an increased difficulty and you begin with all gadgets. This is a great chance to get some of the Riddler trophies in the early areas that require later gadgets. You'll have to do all the side missions in this mode as well, so you can tackle them along the way or save them for the next step. Step 3: Story Mode mop-up (19 achievements 370:gsicon:) Now you'll need to complete Story mode to 100%. This will require you to do all of Batman's side missions in both Story Mode and New Game+, as well as collect all the Riddler trophies (these are shared between playthroughs). Catwoman has a single postgame mission, but you only need to complete it on one of the modes. She also has her own set of Riddler trophies that you will need to collect. You can check your progress from the main menu. Step 4: Challenges and Campaigns (8 achievements 160:gsicon:) Last but certainly not least you'll need to complete the game's Challenges and Campaigns twice, once with Batman and once with Catwoman. Challenges are the same as those found in Arkham Asylum, with a mix of score-based Combat Challenges to test your combat proficiency and objective-based Predator Challenges to test your stealth and gadget proficiency. These challenges can be brutal, so use video guides to get an idea of how to approach them. Make sure to practice and memorize the tactics because you'll be playing these all several times over. Campaigns are new the series which consist of a gauntlet series of Challenges with added stipulations and limited retries. Stipulations could be beneficial or harmful depending on the campaign, and you can choose which Challenge to apply them to, but they must all be used by the end of the Campaign. Try to plan ahead so you're not stuck with the worst ones on the last challenge unless you know you can work with it. Step 5: Achievement mop-up / Perfect Knight (6 achievements for 105:gsicon:) You should have unlocked Perfect Knight - Day 2 if you followed the above steps; if for some reason it hasn't unlocked you can check your statistics from the main menu. The only achievements you may have left now are the combat related achievements (Flawless Freeflow, Perfect Freeflow, Gadget Attack), Story Teller, and Pay Your Respects, which can all be mopped up relatively easily. Congratulations, you've finished your journey to a very rewarding 1000:gsicon:!
