Who here actually played these games after 1k?

Recommended Posts

I bought this game to remember the Genesis classics that I came to know and love, and get the achievements. Now that I got the 1k, I haven't touched the game.. I went and beat Sonic 3 over again, but that's about it. Everything else I lost my attention on, even Phantasy Star games that I used to love.

It makes me sad, but I think the attention whoreness in me has taken away from this Genesis collection. XD I'm even thinking about trading the game along with CoD4 to buy Star Ocean in the upcoming week.

Anyone else feel this way?

1k or not.. Def a keeper.. Used to love SF .. And having SF & SF2 to finihs on one disc seems awesome..

Will def keep and play after the 1k..

Good games to come by after a while to chill and have some fun.. After killing people on CoD or yelling at the TV on other games that I will not mention... This is great to calm you down..

i loved alien syndrome and the fat amount of beat em ups (golden axe, streets of rage, etc.) and every sonic game means i'll probably keep it just for the ease of popping it in my 360 for multiplayer.

but really has no one heard of emulation?

every nes, genesis, snes, turbo grafx game combined fits on a single CD rom.

if it weren't for the 'chieves i would of never even considered buying this.

I went on an emulation binge a few years ago, but I found that having thousands of games sitting there, when they took absolutely no effort to collect, made it hard to really sit down and play all but the best ones. It's hard to appreciate things that you don't physically own.

I have these on emulators aswell, and yes I am also getting this mainly for the achievements. I am only really getting this game though because I love alot of these games and the achieves will be fun to get. I would never consider getting a game solely for achievement points when the game is awful (such as Avatar).

Also I hear alot of reviewers saying that this game is good value but when you can get all the Genesis games on your PC for about 1-5MB a piece for free you wouldn't think like that...

The thing about emulation is that the large pack of Genesis games aren't exactly modified for HD. And aside from that, my computer is filled to the brim with Dreamcast/PSX/N64 games.

Not to mention that the game was only 30$ and it has achievements. I mean sure, I can play Sonic on my DS's R4 or my hacked PSP or the PC, but I wanted to try out the old classics in a different way.. Playing games on the PC gets on my nerves sometimes.

Dude, I love "Fatal Labyrinth". I am at level 25 right now. This game is one of my favorites.

Well it pissed me off when I explored an entire level and there were NO STAIRS.

That and those stupid worms..oh my god. Those worms. "Oh okay got away" -LONG RANGE ATTACK- "WHAT THE FUCK"

I died like 47 times.

same thing happened to me with the no stairs until i found out there are hidden doors you have to press x on i believe and they're in obvious places.

this game reminds me of nethack for some reason

maybe because it's so obviously flawed and simple yet fun as hell

The co-op games, Shining Force series and Phantasy Stars will get a workout. I've found myself not even paying much attention to the achievements, have just been playing the games for some nostalgic fun.

PS- Mean Bean Machine can suck my cat's nipples.
