Does anybody have any tips on letting him get his level 3 up w/o being so dead that you submit as soon as he locks on a submission hold? This is very irritating. Take them out of the ring and then get them to the entrence ramp. Let him beat the hell out of you there and then come back to the ring. Stand in the ring and do nothing. His first grapple will be the level 3 rock bottom and just go for a reverse. You will automatically reverse the Rock Bottom. He doesn;t do any other move. CM Matty Posted March 25, 2009 Share Posted March 25, 2009 i beat him down to the point where i could pin him and had completed every objective (except the counter and win ones). after that, i built my health meter back up (down + B + Y...uses one chain level...win chain grapples against the groggy opponent to raise your chain meter quickly). after that, i let the rock beat me up a bit to gradually bring up his meter (go into chain grapples and let him win...i found that that's the fastest way to get him to level 3). next, make sure you're built up to a reasonable amount of health and just be prepared to reverse the move. he tried it within a minute or so of me letting him attack me at level 3 so it shouldn't take that long. if it takes a while and he beats you down too long, just go back on the offensive and raise your health back up. Yesterday I did as was suggested to take him to the entrance and let him beat me up and he tried the rock bottom up there and I actually blocked it. I got all the other objectives done before so that all I had to do is work on the stunners. Well I got everything done went to pin after the 2nd stunner and WTF, Rock kicks out and he got the first move when he got up and beat me. BS if I've ever seen it. Its very easy to use submission rather than pin...when Rock's(what ever char) health is red just try to use some submission move...He will give up so easily.... Also,I was unable to get the hit with a water bottle objective.Does this have to be done under some strict time limit after breaking the announce table as I kept tapping B near the bottle next to JR but it would not pick up.Any hints? Yup,JR and the King are still sitting comfortably at the table to the left.I can clearly see a water bottle on the bottom right corner but it is not able to be picked up for some reason (game says tap B,B to pick up in the objectives menu). DefJamV Posted March 27, 2009 Share Posted March 27, 2009 Reversing SCM twice was much harder than this, just do what these guys say, hold X to stun the rock then go into a chain by pressing a and loose the first button press, from here let the rock win the chain, should give him half a bar at least, then repeat until he has Lv3, reversing it can be quite tricky, especially if you are in flashing red (if he hits the move now he will pin you) i recommend you get this objective out of the way first, no point going through and hitting all the objectives if hes just gonna rock bottom you and win.
