Achievement Guide and Road Map

Just wanted to add something...the Mano-A-Mano achievement isn't missable. It can be done in the Rumble in the Jungle combat challenge. You face a titan thug along with a group of regular thugs in round 4. It isn't easy, but that's how I got the achievement after forgetting to do it in the story mode.

EDIT: For that matter, I'm assuming Freakshow Rodeo isn't missable either...since you can easily jump on the titan's back and knock down 10 thugs in the combat challenge. I can't confirm it though, because I already had the Rodeo achievement unlocked when I played this challenge.

Well if you don't take on a Titan hand to hand at any point you will miss both as most people will use the Batarang. Using the Batarang will cause you to miss beating up a Titan with your fists and no weapons and you won't ride it to knock people over if your just jumping around and punching it once in a while.

Not everyone will play the same way you have to pointing out the obvious is what the guide is about. Not pointing it out and people missing it will just say the achievements are glitched when their not. Covering all bases really :).

Ride a beast and unleash its power

You may expect this to unlock when you first fight the Titans but you will earn it later in the game. On your patch you will be taken to the underground sewers which you need to escape. Joker will force you to fight a horde of enemies as well as a single Titan. Throw a quick Batarang and dodge out the way until you have worn down the Titan.

Climb on his back by pressinghttp://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/x.png to throw a few punches and then climb on, control the Titan with the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/ls.png+http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rs.png and knock down as many enemies as possible before the Titan throws you off. You should get this once you knock down four or five guys.

This is slightly wrong. I know this as this is one of those achievements that the description changes after you unlock it.

My description now reads: "Ride Titan henchman and knock down 10 thugs (any play)"

So 10 guys need to be knocked down, I suppose that's why people get confused as to why it doesn't unlock :p

Yes I know, in order to unlock both achievement in the challenge mode, you'll have to play Rumble in the Jungle twice. Once using only fists, once using the batarang. I'm merely trying to let people know that if they miss these two achievements in the story mode, they don't have to start story mode over again. They can just get it in the challenge mode.

Same reason why the combo achievements aren't missable. If you don't get them in story mode, they can be done in the challenges as well.

Fantastic guide, well done. The only thing I have to comment about is that I noticed was your mention of the night glider achievement says it's only possible on the top of Arkham Mansion. I managed to get this after exiting the batcave (I'm pretty sure it was the second time) at the point where you have to glide/line gun your way through a series of natural platforms over water. I was able to get the achievement by gliding left of the first tiered and obvious platform and hanging to the right after that and "escaping" with RB when it flashed. When I got back on the original ledge, the achievement unlocked. It's not any easier, but I just thought I'd share.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/852/s15.jpgPoisoned Ivy - 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif

Defeat the giant Titan Ivy plant

This is a story related achievement and cannot be missed.

Defeating Poison Ivy is more tedious than hard, while attacking her keep an eye on the ground for clumps of grass. As soon as you see these clumps forming evade by them by jumping to either side. Keep tapping the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/lt.pngto throw the Batarang, remember not to aim but use quick throws. Half way through the battle Ivy will start to spawn guards, pay less attention to them and concentrate on Ivy. Keep throwing the Batarang and dodge the vines that come up from the floor.

This is more trial an error but once you get half way through you will start form that save point.

i find that the easiest way to kill ivy, this helped me on hard, is to watch the pattern when shes shootin those balls at you is when shes shot the first click LT 2 throw the batarang and as the second is shot she opens up and if u've timed it rite the batarang should hit her and cause more damage.

tell me if this helped i'd like to know

great guide by the way keep it up:)

Thanks for the feedback everyone, so far the information i have provided is just how i have managed to earn the achievements. Some of them i couldn't earn with some of the alternative methods so i just listed how they unlocked for me.

Either way they may be obtainable other ways but what i have listed the the most straight forward methods which i could get to work. i have yet to do the challenges or fully complete the game on hard as I have been a little busy.

I decided not to list videos for the easier challenges as they will just come with practice and patience as you get better in the game. The extreme maps are far harder and require some sort of illustration on how to do them.

Tbh Fizz i would include the videos for the easier challenges as well because regardless of how easy you may think they are you cant answer that for everyone, not everyone will be as good at this game as you are so they may find them hard so you may as well include them.

I agree some of the people may find some of the challenges very hard.

Someone has to post this guide on the main website.

Guides are added to the site ever two weeks, they don't just end up on the main site instantly.

sorry for the double post. i got it....had to upgrade the code cracker gadget

Just a word of warning, double posting can lead to infarctions, using the edit option on your previous post would have been a better route.

just wanted to say that Mano-a-Mano is not missable. i didn't get it during the Story but i got it from one of the Challenges. so if you missed it, just play the Challenge rooms that has a Titan appear, clear out all the goons and then focus on the Titan. way easy.

So it is missable?

You have to go somewhere else to do it. Story related it is missable.

huh? it is NOT missable if you can get it elsewhere without having to replay the entire Story mode. Freakshow Rodeo applies here as well. the OP makes it sound like you can only get it in Story Mode, which is not the case.

something like Party Pooper IS missable cuz once you missed it, you have to replay the entire Story mode to get back to it.

He's saying you can miss an opportunity to get the achievement, but you can get it in a challenge mode whenever you want.

thank you.

I missed the mano-a-mano achievement in game but you can unlock it by beating a titan in the 'rumble in the jungle' challenge on the 4th wave. Just take the henchmen out first then keep hopping over the titans head and smacking him a few times. He'll go to his knees after the first quarter of his life's gone then he's all yours for the taking :D
