Coma White CPW
I have now 100% this song 5 times in a row and whammyed all Beatlemania passages and still can not Gold Star this. Anyone else having problems or suggestions, please? Thanks in advance
phatmuther
Not to sound stupid but I would hope you're doing it on expert? Other than that just try to use Beatlemania at the best possible times rather than wasted points (far spaced notes). Saying that, haven't done it myself so probably not helpful

Coma White CPW
Yes, I'm playing on expert, and I'm going for one of the "Gold Star Expert" 4 song achievements. I'm just cracking 64,000 points....everytime
TwistedFate
Seems a problem with overdrive, just play it on easy 100% it with beatlemania on guitar You can't get Gold Stars on Easy. Expert only.
Stufin135
You are very close. I got 66,000 and got it. I use the WT gutiar so this is easier, but after the first beatlemania I use the back button to hit dead on the start of the 5-6 quick blue notes before the first chorus.. I know you have only a x5 multiplyer but this is ok. The BM will keep getting collected until the end of the first chorus. Then I used it at the same point again (i think). I am not 100% when I used it as mine was just a sightread. But try squezzing it on them first blues.

Coma White CPW
I just got it with 64,500. It chinged exactly as the last sustain was ending. I can confirm the cut of is exactly 64,500 on bass. Thanks to all who read.
xXxDArKtOrNxXx
thanks cause ive noticed the cut offs for some songs are extremely high
rabies
The cutoffs for this game for GS may be higher than in rb2..that has yet to be confirmed..but for sure songs with very few notes and very little starpower (or beatlemania) will be difficult to GS. There were some cases even in RB2 where a full combo with a good path would not net you gold stars..and on some songs it was impossible (vocals on vasoline for example if I remember). I managed to snag some tough ones, but there are still a few bass ones that elude me. Learn to squeeze and optimize your path..
Le Vampyr
If you're trying to get gold stars for the achievements, try it in band quickplay with at least one other player on expert (who's good at that instrument) and activate beatlemania at the same time. You can also try doing a song you need to gold star in "Challenge Mode", so long as it isn't the first song in a setlist, being that you keep the beatlemania and overdrive from the previous song. This will make it much easier to gold star songs. Yes, if you gold star "I Me Mine" in band quickplay for example, it will count towards the achievement. Just a heads up for those who don't know. =)

How can you get half the bar with the first beatlemania section? I whammy the shit ou of that part and still can't get it. And later on, the parts are to quck and small for me to whammy. Anybody knows a good path with two activations?
Coma White CPW
I think the way I used it was...whammy the hell out of the first phrase (almost fills meter, but not quite). Use immediately after 2nd phrase (will also include 3rd). Save the next 2 OD, and activate immediately after the third one. I think this is right, did it last night and can't totally remember. Also, must 100% (a given)
L0cke89
I did it, but on Guitar. Don't know why this is tier 5 song, but it's really easy. Did it on my first try with 5k over GS and a few mistakes after 90% of the song. But try Something. That song is so unforgiving on both guitar and bass. I wish I had my Ions my. Drums are so easy to GS -.-"

T-Hybrid
This path works but wait to activate the last SP for a few notes after the third one that way you can catch the last phrase towards the end of the song. I did a similar path, though I don't remember how many phrases I actually used. I whammy the heck out of the BM, then waited until just as the quick strumming set of Orange notes (or was it blue). Activate it just as that part starts, and it will carry you through one more phrase and into the slow part. Then it ends with just enough time to pick up a second activation's worth. Then wait until the fast part again and activiate a bit into it and BAM gold stars no problem. It DID require a 100% though.
Midget Mafia
Just got Gold stars on this song! From the start wammy like crazy, then release it right when the 2 sp comes up and that should carry you through the next one also. After that save up the next 3 SP and release it about 4 sec. after you get the 3rd one. If done correctly it should take you through the last SP. Continue to 100% the song and you should have it. My final score was 64, 762.

Norman Coxwell
I Feel Fine is legitimately impossible to Gold Star on bass. Tried many different variations of using overdrive. Whammy'd all of them. Its impossible. I Me Mine is rather easy to Gold Star on drums. Just pick up a xbox live quickplay band and play it. There's a pretty good chance you'll get I Me Mine. My final score was 64, 762. I can personally vouch this path. I fc'd this song before reading this thread and of course came up really short. But thanks to you guys who posted the path to gold star this song I was finally able to do it. Whammy the fuck out of every sustained note you see and play them half a second early to not miss "squeeze". The path works great, but if you whammy the notes like I did you'll get more than what you need. Final score 66,001!
ahvostik
just baaaarrrreeeelly got the gold stars at the last second... 64,000 here... the chart definitely works though. I tried like 15 times before googling it and finding this path. thanks.

Ttapi
So wait, can I do it in challenge mode or not? No, gold stars only count if they are obtained in story, band story, quickplay, or band quickplay.
