Lmao, Capcom FAIL on this game. honestly, what horrible achievements, and Lost Planet 2 sucks compared to Number 1. Huge fail.

Who ever bothers to waste their time with this achievement, shame on them.

I and many other people disagree, ok the acheivements are different, and maybe challenging, but isn't this what we want? I've heard a few people slate it, 'crap graphics, crap story, fail, etc' none of this is true, It's awesome and taking 4 years to develop the online side taking on board feedback from LP1 players is comedable, I take my hat off to Capcom. Anyone who describes it as crap, fail, or rubbish, all I can say is, unlucky, shame you wasted £30 then huh, get back on viva pinyata and unlock some easy peasy 'cheives where you belong bucko this game is hardcore to the max. :uzi: :)

well I think what a lot of people are saying is more so...

its about 14 cycles of the game for 300 chapters

if you just do your 4 cycles for every achievement... youre .6 away from 100 chapters meaning you almost need to do another cycle =\ so you will spend most of your game chilling with the AI, leveling, or trying to get titles/good jobs

A lot of titles/good jobs, require things that are very percise... How many area's in the game have enough M size akrid for the good job? maybe 5... how about S size? maybe 6... and theres 40+ area's in the full game, and not everyone will be able to do every good job (except 1-1/4-1)

capcom also wennt out of their way to tell us little to nothing about what were really doing... Its ok to go this route but when you have 9,999 kills well before you kill 3,000 akrid I think i might want to know about it lol

same with the weapons, some level really really really really really fast, the pistol (not hand gun) I got mastery of in 5 or so runs on 1-1... the flamethrower i got no clue where i am... and the rocket is coming along very slowly (i recently got the title) Perhaps the guide book is just wrong and different weapons have different titles or they pop later on... because I had to use some weapons like the VS laser rifle so many times i lost about 140,000 in points ~_~

finally Capcom/the guide/our information... are all kinda out there, it doesnt matter who really says what or where... something always appears to be different, in my FAQ I remark that red eye in 1-1 can only be pushed back with barrels for the GJ...

these are what i think more people are mad at, not to mention... I dont like playing games long enough to get say 100 matchs played (fat princess, lead and gold, battlefield 1943, king of fighters, blazblue, all being games the only achievements im missing are play X games) but some games take it to extremes like this game, street fighters (capcom i know), king of fighters, etc

I am nnot saying its ok to dismiss this game for things like that, but i think capcom could have done a better job with the trophies/achievements...

everything on the list but 1 is time based...

idk about anyone else but i think i can get 2 kills in every MP game i play =P

play _____ in _____

do ____ area's

do ____ alone

Kill ____

do all good jobs (somewhat skill based but i think its more based off the level you do it on than the actual skill)

I wouldnt say this game is even challenging... very, very long though.

Extreme is a joke compared to the 1st, i did most of it in solo with so many lifes remaining, the most skillful thing in this game is probably getting Gold on all training missions; but then with youtube videos it will be a joke aswell.

Still i find this game really fun and am in it for the long run, so don't mind grinding 500 matches, all 99's, 100k/300k all weapons/grenades, VSs and VS weapon noms.

And sorry bro but this game is 90% time consuming and 10% skill.

i actually disagree, its 100% time consuming, and 0% skill

if you suck at playing campaign, once you start a game ive yet to see how you can kick someone so given enough tries someone will think youre afk and just do the level for you

if you suck at good jobs, most of them can be done with almost no skill on easy since you got the heavy armor... also them mission ones if someone does it everyone gets it

if you suck at training unless you cant pull off the bot battles well youre screwed but they arnt that bad its more about finding enough of them fast enough

etc

the only one really skill based is getting #1 in the world which if you played early enough was a joke

0% skill I disagree with, getting the NUMBER 1 Nom now requires a lot of skill and also getting Golds on all those training missions also requires quite a lot of skill, if only it did require no skill a lot of people would be very happy.

youre the one just talking... I post time and time and time again... Im a ps3 gamer and my name is Admiralvic

but if you want to talk out your ass per usual, im not gonna stop you...

as far as the 0% remark, those are all true facts... you have to remember as long as videos map it out which makes it far easier, and Number 1 was at 1 point very very very very easy, it can be noted to be 0%, unless you want to state that because of number 1 it requires far more =P since a lot of people dont even try training making some scores easier, it will go up over time but overall all titles are about time/effort than skill and power

also theres this post...

Well Im doing the Golds for the Training missions right now and I can safely say Im using skill to get them golds as theres few videos out there and when I got my NUMBER 1 that took me serious time/skill and a slice of luck to achieve.

That list appears to be missing a play style title. Gunslinger, I don't know for sure how I got it, me and another person who have it suspect it has something to do with using revolver and or handgun in a certain way.

the official guide (where this is taken)

says Have them both at the same time

It sure doesnt seem fair; people who played on training missions first and got the leaderboards early. Basically Capcom found a way around the limit of achievements. you are going for 100s of achievements for a few actualy ones . 100s of zero level achievements, insanity. I thought I was crazy for doing prestige 10 for zero Gs although that was fun (until about 7-8 that is). Then I just wanted to play something else.

This game would be perfect if it is all I owned because there is a lot to keep you interested in it. but FFS, I dont think I have the patience to go all the way.

I just wish I played my friend early copy of the game and gotten the leaderboard stuff early. I complete most fo my games, but this will not be one of them. Good luck to all those who will try.

I wish they had get 80% of all possible war titles. but I guess that would look pretty stupid in the achievement description.

you're wrong =\

when they added the dash boost (post me golding all =[) it made some training missions which were mostly speed based IE capture the data posts...

5-1 for instance, riko (he posted it so thats why i know) that he got #1 in the world, then was beat... I looked a day later and hes now 24 on the leaderboard, so it is FAR from impossible for late adopters =\ you just got to make the most of when you get on

as far as LATE in the future, well so many of them are team based that if you dont get help youre fucked

Capcom confirmed to me that you do not need some of the Special Nom's to get the achievement.

I asked them if they were promoting underage kids playing M rated games by having Nom's for Devil May Cry save, Dead Rising Save, RE5 save, etc. in a Teen rated game. My son is 12 (almost 13) and I don't allow him to play those games yet, but he should be able to get all the achievements available in a Teen rated game.

Capcom told me that not having those will not affect the achievement, so I wonder if any of the other special ones are not needed.....

I have been coming back from time to time checking on the LP2 list and your right I can't seem to find it listed here either. Has anyone figured out how to get Gunslinger Nom De Guerre yet?

Well I've only been getting Noms de Guerre from ? boxes. For the ones you don't get in multiplayer, you get in campaign from ? boxes, so is there a special requirement before you can get it from an ? box or do they just appear randomly?

They usually appear randomly, but you can do things which increase the chances of getting a ? Box.

Killing an enemy through melee is almost 100% chance of a ? box

Headshots increase the chance of dropping a ? box

Possibly others which I can't remember..

Wow... I just read the section where some people are saying this game takes no skill... That's if you play on easy. Rofl you guys need to consider EVERYTHING about the game if you want to make blanket statements like that. Lost Planet takes more skill than Halo 3 even. I would know, I've played Halo 3 for years. Then I started playing Colonies and I was surprised at the innovative add-ins to shooter gameplay that Capcom made. Grenade shots and the anchor in particular.

I say the achievement list is fine, except for the noms de guerre Top 10 and Number 1. Seriously though. If you guys think the game takes no skill you either have never played it, played it for too long, or didn't play it for long enough. You've got to be able to skillfully utilize the weapon, or VS that you have in order to win in multiplayer. In campaign, obviously no skill is required on Easy by yourself because the harmonizer regeneration is almost instant... Try playing on Hard or Extreme. Then you will know the meaning of "Skill".

There are those epic moments where someone would have utterly destroyed a Chryatis in Akrid Hunter with a Granseed armed with a VS Shotgun and a Gatling or 2 Gatlings utilizing the sliding dash. Or dodged a Godon with sliding dash on the Cakti Type 2(one of the slowest moving VS). Or gone head to toe with the Gorechryatis on Canyon 810 using the Hardballer's epic sliding dash. Sliding dash is the perfect example of a technique that takes a lot of skill. It keeps you alive. It is an excellent way to dodge incoming power attacks like the Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launcher, Grenades in general, VS Rifle, Chryatis leg swings, Neegal Tail Lunges, or Dongo rolls. Unfortunately some VS do not have such a feature on them... :(

And seeing as the sliding dash, anchor, and grenade shot are featured in Lost Planet 2 as well, it also applies to Lost Planet 2.

Complete the 1st game on Extreme whilst collecting all target marks then your see why some of us believe this games Extreme requires no skill. :)

A ton of people gave up on the 1st boss because of like 5 dongo's massacring them over and over again, let me know how far you get if you attempt it.

The Godon? Lol I played on Hard against him and it wasnt that bad, as long as the one VS you got didn't die. However, on Extreme ofc it is way more difficult. You gotta keep moving and take the Dongos out first one at a time. You can use grenades to knock them over mid-roll and it stuns them for a few precious seconds. That's what I did. Threw a few hand grenades at the Dongos and dodged the Godon, then picked off all the Dongos. That's when you concentrate on the Godon. He is easy to kill by himself so long as you can time your dodges right each time. And make sure you don't run out of ammo!! ;) I had a Launcher and a Shotgun in that battle, and used the Shotgun to mop up the minions. then blow the crap out of the Godon with the rockets. That's as far as I got on Extreme though, because Lost Planet 2 came out shortly after I bought Colonies. :/ I guess I was too slow.

EDIT: I didn't bother with the target marks when I was playing. ;)

You need to beat the game once to unlock Extreme so your lying dude, lol.

Unless you did it on a different account of course.

I know I need to beat it on Hard first. ;) You are correct, I did do it on a different account. I did it on my friend's account. It's not a Live account though.. :( But still, take home message Extreme is VERY difficult in the first Lost Planet because your T-Eng goes down SO quickly. Holy crap it's like you're driving a Cakti or Hardballer around, but you're only walking. I haven't unlocked Extreme on Lost Planet 2 yet, but I assume this outrageous T-Eng decrease isn't even compared to in Lost Planet 2.

OMG now that I've thought of it, imagine an even harder version of Extreme where your T-Eng decreases at the rate of a Hardballer with its chainsaw out? O.o That would be impossible to do. And very evil of Capcom.
