im gonna bitch about the campaign.the closing of doors and cutting me off from areas that im exploring is just killing me.one time i was looking in a hall and the doors closed pushing me inside and closing behind me.besides that having to mange air canisters,health packs&tmd slows the pacing down.plus the controls suck.besides that its damn good.yhogh i havnt started the multiplayer grind yet.

The only problems I've found is some multiplayer lag and getting stuck with the dumb team a lot.

I thought it was a great game, but there were a few tidbits here and there that got annoying.

1. In the campaign, you run into small capsules called "e99" that you can use to buy weapon upgrades, TMD perks and hero perks. But when I progressed through the campaign and got almost to the end, I already bought every single TMD Perks, hero perk, etc.. and I was stuck with about 45k e99. My point is, there should've been more items or perks to buy with your money to improve your gameplay and not let the money just sit in your wallet the whole game.
   
2. As mentioned above, it won't let you go back to previous levels to collect any hero upgrades/ammo/e99/etc..
   
3. No chapter select.

Overall it's a pretty good game. Even got into the multiplayer which I don't do too often. Almost finished my MP grind now only something like 28 exterminations to go (well I say only). Most annoying thing in this game is being stuck on a team on CvS with morons who insist on being phase ticks. Seriously people. Really? Don't they realise it's basically just handing kills to the other team. I swear I don't think I won a game yet with more than 1 phase tick on my team. I would have got my 25 wins so much faster if people could have worked that out.

Lol, ya mine may as well be also. But i still find it funny that alot of people are going around only using the pistol and able to kill a Radion with it in only like 5 shots..... Hmmm, cheaters on this game already? Im sure, but honestly the MP sucks so much that once i 1K this game ill never play it again so i dont really care. (MP anyways) If they come out with decent DLC for the campain (which i doubt cuz even big games like Bioshock 2 cant bring them selves to do it) I might play it cuz i did like the campain-except the things that have already been brought up. I think the door closing is retarded, cuz i came to this door which i thought was the way foward so i searched the other area. And guess what? I was wrong. Now i dont know whats behind that door and never will cuz its not worth a play thru for that. Oh ya and why did they only make like 3-4 maps for MP? Are they that retarded? Oh wait, i think i answered my own question.... Im also tired of getting disconnected from a game when the host has decided hes had enough. (has happened to me atleast 6 times today already) Pick a new host and keep the game going for godsakes, its not the newest idea anyone has ever had. I think that covered it. I hate MP on this game with a passion.

I have barely played it but I found one major thing that pissed me off, no subtitles. It's fine enough when I am playing alone but when there are people playing rock band 5 feet away, subtitles help alot. That's the first thing I do before starting to actually play the game is put subtitles on so I have a chance to understand something if I can't quite hear it

I'm tired of getting a game where the host is idle, putting the team at a disadvantage... I've never seen a game where the team with the AFK host has won. It makes getting the 25 wins that much harder.

 

I also hate the fact the matches are MUCH longer then they need to be. If I am on the soldier side first, and I capture zero beacons, and then on Round 2 the creatures capture a beacon, that's it, the game should be over. The other side ALREADY WON!!! But no, we have to play another ten minutes (at the max) to get to the end of the game when we already know who won.

 

And three maps for MP... that is just sloppy. This whole MP reeks of a rush job.

I had high hopes for this game and thought it looked great. I played for about an hour and the story/gameplay just has no interest for me. the mp is just terrible.

i think the game overall is actually pretty good. hard should have been harder. the doors closing behind me was the biggest problem i had with the game. i got all the single player achievements in one play through except the hero one and i strongly suspect it was because a door closed behind me when i was not able to explore an area. so i think that means i have to play the entire campaign over to get that one achievement. thats not cool.

I believe you only get kicked when you are not playing for a while. Maybe it's your fault for not playing?

 

I've never gotten kicked and I've played more than 200 matches.

Getting disconnected does not necessarily qualify as being "kicked" from the game. Losing your connection to the host, is a different story.

No Mission Select, No New Game+, MP was a fun idea, but basically sux after a while, Leveling up unlocks: NOTHING! Only 4 maps? Seriously too few time bending objects, Easy puzzles, too much upgrades, not enough ammo, health....wasn't that banned after Halo? Basically there's just too much wrong with this game, so why is it so much fun to play? Yep, I'm buying Singularity 2..... LaterZzzZ

I really like the single player, and the story. The multiplayer feels really tacked-on. Much of the collision detection is very sloppy and having only four maps is pretty silly.

 

Decent game though, maybe number 2 will have a lot more polish...

The Phase Ticks have been the bane of my MP experience. I actually enjoy playing Extermination (other than when you have to sit through three rounds when you have already lost), but CvS is a hassle. 2 wins till my 1K, and it is taking forever. 3+ ticks on my team everytime. and once they get killed too many times they quit. So your team gets to count all their losses and no wins, then end up being out matched. One of the hints at the bottom of loading screens should tell new players that if they want to ever level up stop using the tick until they learn how to play.
