Achievement Guide

Yet another person who can't even read.

I made critical suggestions to begin with, citing potential confusion for readers as a major issue of posting a small (and inaccurate) summary for completing an achievement.

I re-iterated multiple times that I do not need a fucking guide, I'm not pointing this stuff out for my own benefit. I'm calling him out for putting up un-verified information, "it's not finished" is no excuse for telling people to do something and leaving out critical information (for example, you need to play to Case 2 in the storyline in order to access the magazine)

It's not a lot of effort to pop that into your post, if you're not done with an achievements text, then leave it blank until you are. Posting information you haven't verified is complete and utter bullshit. Don't do it.

Did i pick you out no i didnt you were one of few that offered actual help

I fear you're wasting your breath here, the_a_drain. :p

Indeed. I agree with everything you're saying (the_a_drain), but there is no point continuing the argument. You've offered constructive criticism and advice, yet mmartyn chooses to ignore it. I'm sure he will regret it when a more concise guide is created and his falls into oblivion.

youre both not understanding something. the achievement guide was only started this morning. ive been taking notes and info off friends whilst doing the achievements on my 2nd account. i had not gotten round to the 72k kills till now and yes, you were rite, you cannot obtain the bike book at this moment in time. however, you can still get 1k kills with the bike within 10 minutes usin the bike.

now id like you to read this:

THE GUIDE, IS A WORK IN FUCKING PROGRESS. THE LESS YOU KEEP FUCKIN WHINING, THE QUICKER IT WILL BE FINISHED.

That's all I was looking for.

If the information isn't correct and confirmed, don't put it in the guide, until it is. A blank achievement lets people know that the guide is coming soon, a shitty assumption will just confuse people when it turns out to be wrong/inaccurate.

So in effect, if you had taken the very first piece of advice I gave you, you would have saved a whole lot of face instead of making yourself look like your information cannot be trusted.

It's pretty simple really.

As for your capslock statement, no, actually. Not posting shitty fake information would have given you more time to finish up a proper version of the guide. By posting info you just pulled out of a hat, you have to expect people to call it the fuck out when it turns out to be wrong, even if it is just a placeholder.

Which is fine, but you really should verify that a particular method works (or is even possible) before posting it up.

Anyway, now that all that is out of the way I can start contributing properly.

For the "Eat Every Food" achievement, you do not need to eat all the spoiled foods. I tested this twice and on both occasions I did not eat any spoiled food.

A potentially faster way to level 50 than either the SUV or the Boomstick method (please point out where the Pitchforks are in your guide in the Pallisade, I could not find any personally but I do know there are 2 Shotguns in the Shooting Range shop, and 2 Forks over in the BBQ Restaurant in the Food Court, for people that want to know where to get them) is to continually re-start the game and to the opening scene with a few adjustments.

Start a new game:

Go get Katie's Zombrex and bring Denyce back with you, on the way pick up as many gifts for Katie as you can find (Beach Ball, Pony Stick, Marbles, and one giant stuffed animal) This should net you a whole ton of PP. Then go back outside, rescue the black woman and her husband, and pick up another stuffed animal for Katie. Then re-start and repeat.

If you like you could probably go and tame Snowflake as well for a further PP boost. (20k for Snowflake, plus whatever defeating the Psycho gets you.)

Edit:

Denyce = 20,000pp

Gifts x4 = 60,000pp (15k each. Marbles, Pony Stick, Beach Ball, any of the 3/4 stuffed toys)

Wait to give her the Zombrex (you can also fetch another stuffed toy, and a water gun in this time, for another 30k pp)

All that in about 10 minutes, plus you can rescue the black woman/husband and another toy for

another 55,000pp in a few more minutes.

It's also not a lot extra, but you can get even more by making a Defiler (Axe+Hammer) and picking

up the 10% pp from weapons extra book on the stand on the way to get the Zombrex. You also

get 1500 from beating up the punks in the store.

Some of the melee weapons are confusing. Mustard, ketchup, mayo and marbles, how the fuck are they melee? Is there a person who has the Head Trauma and can describe in a few words, about this cheevo?

Those damn weapon achievements are a pain. I have used every firearm, and blew up zombies with all available explosives, and still nothing popped up.

Also what's confusing is that in the guide (explosives section) one item at the explosives is mentioned, that you NEED to use in order to advance in the Case mission 6-3 (SPOILER!!!!! sry, don't know how to use spoiler tags :D ) When zombies attack the Safehouse It is mentioned to use the Gas Barrel as an explosive, that would fail the case and it's not logical to make an explosive that you have to use, for the cheevo, and fail your progress of the game.

I know that the guide is in it's infant state, but still, some errors confuse people... like now

^^ i am going to run thro and remove all novelty weapons and put them into a seperate list. sorry for the confusion, but the issue with that achievement is that 75% of the novelty weapons can also kill a zombie and are needed towards the melee achievement.

as for the gas barrel, you need to kill a zomb with it, then re-load. i know, its anoying.

If I reload, the progress of the achievement will also reload, no? Unless it's the last explosive, get the achievement and then reload, but still...

We need more info

Win Big! 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/g-icon.gif

Finish in first place in a TIR episode

**Must Be Done in Ranked Match's**

This is hard, you basically have to win in all Events in a single Episode of TIR.

Or in otherwords, you start a ranked game, you have 9 rounds, you have to win all 9.

I would suggest checking the achievement trading thread and trying you luck with a boosting group.

Correct me if I am wrong, but there are only 4 rounds per ranked TIR event when I played?

If you don't want to have to play that far into the story more than once, then make sure you get all the explosives up until that point. Blow it up, get the achieve, and then reload your game to continue your story to the ending for the

S Ending.

That's what he's trying to say.

The guide for this is ridiculous! Why go to 4 different places when everything is in Yucatan Casino - Baron Von Brathaus

1. Large Painting

2. Small Painting

3. Servbot Head

4. Barrel (power attack)

Job done, no faffing about running around everywhere

Yep, I did it this way as well. Easy, takes less than a minute.

for zombie fu and smashy you might want to include another method that is so far the fastest i have found.

you will have to wait until you aquire the "smash" skill (so do this on your second or third playthrough). in the middle of "royal flush plaza" there is this giant craps game. jump over the handrail and get rid of the three zombie cops. then stand directly behind the rail and start smashing zombies with rt+x. the zombie you get a hold off will glitch through to your side and you will get the kill without ever having to fear being hit or grabbed. you will only be able to reach zombies that are very close but as there are many you will still be able to get the kills very fast. after you have run out of zombies (around 100 or so) just leave and reenter the plaza to respawn the zombies...

Reach level 50

You will need 5,000,000 PP to reach level 50

Easiest way Ive found so far is Build the "Boomstick" (Shotgun + Pitchfork) and use its heavy attack, as i gives 2,500 PP Per kill. (so you need 2000 kills using this to reach 50)

to use a heavy attack hold :xbut:

The best place to obtain this achievement would be in Palisades mall, due to there being multiple shotguns, pitchforks and maintenance rooms.

So i've found where there are a few shotguns that will keep re-appearing, but i can't find any Pitchforks in the Palisades mall.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Bobbe: it has to be in one playthrough. so like DR1, you need to fill your safe house with survivors..

@rencamo have already had a few other people message me with some videos.

Going to watch them all, then add the best ones to the guide :)

i'm on my first run, and i have saved 55 survivals..every survival i found except 2
