Hey great guide so far. iBuzz7s posted an earlier guide on how to get the story teller achievement. In case you missed it, basically you must talk to calendar man on 12 specific dates of the year. If you want to get it legitimately play it for a whole year, otherwise adjust your console date in the settings to the appropriate time as follows:

10/31/2011 - Halloween

11/24/2011 - Thanksgiving

12/25/2011 - Christmas

1/1/2012 - New Years Day

2/14/2012 - Valentines Day

3/17/2012 - St. Pattys Day

4/1/2012 - April Fools

5/8/2012 - Mothers Day

6/19/2012 - Fathers Day

7/4/2012 - Independence Day

8/16/2012 - Feast Day of St. Roch

9/5/2012 - Labor Day

I would have posted the video but it won't embed for some reason.

Someone mentioned that if you want to get the posted date for the achievement, pause the game after triggering the last conversation and connect to Xbox Live, the cheevo should pop during the conversation, but don't quote me on this because I have yet to get it.

Here's the video:

I was waiting till today to make an Achievement Guide but the new improvements are looking good. Besides, I don't have a capture card so I would be nabbing other people's videos.

:p

Let me know if there are any areas that you would have written differently or if there is anything that you would like me to elaborate on.

I will be working on getting the rest of the videos done so the guide should be 100% complete by Friday.

For Mystery Stalker, you do not have to find Azrael in that exact sequence and it can be done post game. I know this for a fact because according to your sequence I found him in the order of 3,1,4,2,5 and I did it during my post game free roam. I did also get the Catch! achievement.

I can confirm that you can do it out of order; you don't have to wait until New Game Plus if you miss the courthouse. I read this guide after that point, zipped up to the ferris wheel after the steel mill (missed a chance to get "Catch" here), and I then went back to the courthouse.

Stalker was not there when I first arrived, but I went in the door on the upper level of the outside front of the building and walked back out and he was there. Threw my batarang to get "Catch" and caught up on Symbol #1.

Great Guide.

I would have simply put a spoiler warning so that on some achievements that are story progression I can give some tips - boss fights strategies, trouble finding Penguin's airwave jammers, etc.

Mentioned that going up close to the giant green question mark will allow you to press A to interact as most people had trouble initiating the first save hostage achievement.

Also mentioned that Side Quests can be progressed through the main story and completed but would have encouraged to complete them after the main story concludes. This being there is a lot of experience to gain from doing the side quests and holding off from them would be a loss of XP.

Nothing more - as you have it it looks great. Making a detailed walk-through for the Riddler would be tough.

Only thing now is putting a description of saving each Hostage.

I just completed doing this and can confirm that it works. Although the above dates are for 2011 only not for 2012.

2011 dates are as follows:

10/31/2011 - Halloween

11/24/2011 - Thanksgiving

12/25/2011 - Christmas

1/1/2011 - New Years Day

9/5/2011 - Labor Day

2012 dates are as follows:

10/31/2012 - Halloween

11/22/2012 - Thanksgiving

12/25/2012 - Christmas

1/1/2012 - New Years Day

2/14/2012 - Valentines Day

5/13/2012 - Mothers Day

6/17/2012 - Fathers Day

7/4/2012 - Independence Day

8/16/2012 - Feast Day of St. Roch

9/3/2012 - Labor Day

It is best to follow the calendar next to his cell as he will only give you hints to other days instead of a story if you come on the wrong day. Also if you do want to have the date stamp on your achievement, logging into xbox live right after you start the last conversation does work. I did it myself and had it stamped with today's date. Good Luck!

Stop all assaults in Arkham City

Ever vigilant, stop all the random crimes in Arkham City.

Can you elaborate on this one, like the general locations of the crimes and what the crimes are? And maybe what is the best strategy for stopping those crimes? Are they difficult, or like the random stranger favors/missions in Red Dead Redemption, where you have to chase down someone who stole a horse or something?

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1294/UPuBDJU=.jpgAR Knight 25 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png

Complete all augmented reality training exercises

Complete all 8 AR training exercises to unlock the achievement. Completing the first 4 unlocks the grapnel boost which allows you to glide indefinitely by grappling from building to building without ever touching the ground.

Are these missable? What are the 8 training exercises, and when do they occur in the game?

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/1294/UPjZBHw=.jpgConundrum 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png

Rescue the first hostage from Riddler

The floor is covered in electricity. Use the batarang to disable floor tiles and make a path to the other end of the room. Hit the question marks to do this. Once on the other side safely on the platform, hit the question mark that is adjacent to you. The platform will raise and you will be able to swoop in and rescue the hostage.

What floor? The floor to the church mentioned in the IQ Test achievement, or somewhere else?

Rescue the second hostage from Riddler

Use Detective Mode. Sneaky Beaver.

Huh?

What about solutions/locations for the third, fourth, fifth and all hostages? (I do realize that you've only rescued three hostages so far)

I would suggest posting a video for the Story Teller achievement (the Calendar Man one). Some people might not know how to change the date on their system.

I'd also use the button graphics for the buttons everywhere in your guide. Instead of using A, for example, use :abut:. :bbut: instead of B, and so on...

Good guide, but not nearly 100% yet. Since guides can't be submitted until a month after the game comes out anyway, so I'd use that time to put as much detail into every solution possible to make it a GREAT guide. And I don't suggest claiming your guide will be 100% by Friday. No guide is 100% four days after the game comes out, especially a AAA title such as this.

Look at the guide for Batman: Arkham Asylum and take pointers from it. That's a great guide. Hell, even look at the Arkham Asylum guides posted on PS3T.org and PS3T.com. It doesn't hurt to look. I'm not trying to be a dick, just don't be premature in saying that your guide will be 100% by the weekend. There is so much to do in this game, and to have all of it covered in just four days is just too soon.

I've had the game for a week now and have been hard at work getting all the side missions done 100% and editing the videos.

The random crimes are very basic. They happen anywhere at any time and its basically a mugging. It is blatantly obvious what must be done when you do your first one but I will make sure to elaborate more on it.

Right now I'm focusing on getting the rest of the videos done and will elaborate more wherever necessary. Thanks for bringing these up. The riddler challenges are somewhat difficult b/c you must collect all the riddler trophies to get it all done.

12/25/2012 - Christmas

This is just a thought on the story teller achievement. Is it possible to have the conversations for all the dates except for the first one(Halloween), then just wait it out and connect to live on Halloween and it will pop? Is that possible?

Or must they be in order?

The video from Wiki Game Guides shows all 2011 dates with him starting on Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas 2011, then back to New Year's Day 2011, and so on. It shows the achievement unlocking when he starts the conversation on Labor Day 9/5/11. The video guide maker has the dates in the video that he used. They are all 2011 dates and were not done in the right timeline order.

Might want to change this in the guide (using all 2011 dates).

Correct dates:

1/1/2011 - New Years Day

2/14/2011 - Valentines Day

3/17/2011 - St. Patty's Day

4/1/2011 - April Fools

5/8/2011 - Mothers Day

6/19/2011 - Fathers Day

7/4/2011 - Independence Day

8/16/2011 - Feast Day of St. Roch

9/5/2011 - Labor Day

10/31/2011 - Halloween

11/24/2011 - Thanksgiving

12/25/2011 - Christmas

If this is true, then the only way to get this achievement is to change the date on your system, since the January through September dates are already past. Why would Rocksteady do this? Has anyone tried using 2012 dates and gotten this to work? If you are going by the calendar near his cell, the only dates that *should* work are 2011.

This screenshot clearly has holidays where dates change (Mother's Day 5/8/11, Father's Day 6/19/11, Labor Day 9/5/11, Thanksgiving 11/24/11) as the dates in 2011.

Yeah it seems kind of pointless for Rocksteady to have done this. When I did this I changed to 2012 after completing Christmas 2011. So yes you can do it between years, doesn't have to be in order. As soon as you have completed a month it will be crossed off the calendar next to his cell. Not sure if you can go out of order by month but the year doesn't matter.

Basing it off of my main account is not a good indicator. I have went through the game over 6 times now on 6 different accounts so that I can record the achievement unlocking on a virgin account for the sake of having a good video clip.

Needless to say its a pain but it makes the videos very useful. I have off tomorrow so I will have every video done by friday and then its just a matter of polish. I still feel that this guide is exceptional given that the game came out yesterday. I tried to put my early hands on with the game to good use and help everyone out with the vids.

I realize there are a lot of riddler trophies to be found and it would take a lot of time and effort to get them all but someone at some point needs to make a video guide of all of them. Otherwise someone could just find one and post it in this guide.

Or at least in the near future make a quick guide/explanation of the ridder death traps that have multiple trophies in them. I can never figure them out and having to leave 3 trophies sitting together is getting a little annoying.:p

Great job on the guide so far.

Quick question about the Catwoman DLC, I just got the Sphinx' Riddle achievement and went to admire my handiwork when I noticed the achievements for 'dropping in on an old friend' and 'getting the score of a lifetime' weren't unlocked despite me beating all four of Catwoman's episodes. I'm presuming I didn't get the 'score of a lifetime' one because I didn't get the alternate ending by taking the loot in episode 3 of Catwoman's story, but I'm pretty sure I met up with an old friend of hers in episode 2. Is there a certain way you have to get that one or did it just glitch up on me for some reason?

Hi just want to say your perfect freeflow 2.0 is wrong (i tried), you don't need to use gadget (unless proven otherwise).

And have variation bonus x12

Combat list:

1) Strike = X

2) Stun = B

3) Ultra Stun = B,B,B

4) Beat Down Finisher = Stun followed by X repeatly

5) Ground Pound = LT + Y

6) Aerial Attack = B + X,X

7) Direct Aerial Attack = B + X,X + L Direction + X

8) Counter = Y

9) Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown = A+B

10) Special Combo Takedown = B+Y

11) Special Combo Disarm and Destroy = X+Y

12) Special Combo Bat Swarm = A+X

Not sure if needed?

13) Evade

14) Redirect

15) Combo Batarang (not sure about this i used it as a precaution)
