Introduction

 

This game is based off a game show. Visit HERE to learn more about the game and how it works. The game starts off with you and opponent answering a question that was given to 100 people in a survey. Whoever answers the top answer (ranked by how many answered out of 100) gets to pick to play or pass. If you play, you must try to finish off the other answers. If you pass, you give the challenge to the other team. In either scenario, if the 1st team answering gets it 3 times wrong, the question gets passed to the other team. That team has a chance to answer 1 right and get the points. If not, the original player keeps the points from what they answered. There are 3 rounds.

 

Before you play, make sure to visit the link below to have all answers for the game. The user Fury of Dis was kind enough to rip the answers off of the PC version for us. We can all thank him for saving us all hours and hours of gameplay.

Step 1: Challenge Mode

 

Play all 16 of the challenge mode themes. You must win on every single difficulty. This will be a total of 48 games at the minimum if you win every single time. You also must play at least 10 of these with a second controller plugged in and on your team (you take turns answering). For it to count as a win, you must get 200+ points in the last round called Fast Money. Otherwise you will have to play it all over again. To make things somewhat faster, let the computer guess the first question. If they get it wrong, get it wrong too on purpose. This will skip the entire round. Also you can take advantage of the computer always passing. They pass 100% of the time to let you play. Answer everything wrong and they have a good possibility of getting it wrong too, awarding you any points. Otherwise they will gain hardly any depending on the points obtained. Judge this of course on what round you are on and how many points are at stake.

 

Step 2: Party Mode

 

Now you have to play 10 more games in Party Mode. This is when you will be versus your second controller, making this step extremely easy. Just let yourself win. You will also gain the achievement associated with making 100K in cash during this step. Once you are done with the 10, you should have all achievements in the game.

 

Conclusion

 

This is one of those fairly easy games that take a lot of grinding. Specifically if you don't have all the answers. Check the below threads for lists of answers that you might be able to use to get the upper hand.

Playing alone means without any other controllers against the AI. You will need to beat every theme on every difficulty for all of the achievements in the game. You will get this achievement going for all other achievements. You will need to win a minimum of 46 Fast Money rounds anyways, so this will just come along with those.

 

What is Fast Money?

 

Fast money is the last round of the game. You must have more points than your opponent by the end of round 4. Once you win that part, you will get asked a series fo questions much like the normal ones. This time you just pick 2 answers for each question (5 questions total). To win, you must have 200 points or more. This can be extremely easy or tough, depending on the questions and how split up their answers is. Difficulty does not seem to matter with this mode, as you have no competition.

Please read "Veteran" achievement description first. While playing your Challenge Modes, have a second controller logged in as well and join the game with both (or more, if you really do have friends). Play through like normal using both controllers to answer. When you do the Fast Money Round, the MVP goes first and the other controller goes second.

 

How do I get my second controller logged in?

 

After choosing your theme and difficulty in challenge mode, you will see your avatar standing with the controller light above his head. Once your second controller is connected, press to join. You must choose a profile. Press on both controllers so that the lights above the avatars' heads are green.

Win Fast Money in 10 Party Mode games

 

Party Mode is where you actually play against your other controllers. There is no AI to worry about, so you can make yourself get to the Fast Money rounds quickly. To get there, do the following:

 

Step 1: On round one, answer the question if you can. If you do answer right, pick to play. Answer wrong or do not answer during your turn. When your second controller gets the chance, do not answer or get it wrong on purpose.

 

Note: If for some reason you cannot answer it or get it wrong, just don't buzz in with the second controller. You will get to retry on next round.

 

Step 2: Do not buzz in on any of your controllers for the next rounds. You will win with the points you had gotten on that one answer.

 

Step 3: Now just win Fast Money like usual.

 

Repeat these steps until you have all ten.

Win Fast Money in the Groovy Shindig challenge at all difficulty levels.

 

To get all of the achievements in the Challenge Modes on all different themes, you must win the final round (Fast Money) against the AI. You must do this on Easy, Medium, and Hard. The game is nice and puts a check mark next to each difficulty you have beaten on each theme. There are a total of 16 themese. Therefore, you must play Challenge Mode at least 48 times. I suggest playing with your second controller for 10 of these games on easy. This way you can knock that achievement out at the same time. Beating all 3 difficulties can take a very long time if you are unlucky or have a hard time with the questions. That or the AI gets everything right. Each game played can take up to 25-30 minutes depending.

 

TIPS

 

• The AI will pass almost 100% of the time
  
• If you allow the computer to answer first during the buzz in and they get it wrong, also get it wrong. This will skip the round making your playthrough faster if you win.
  
• Passing is a bad idea, especially on harder difficulty. Get as many answers as you can. When it is the AI's turn, they only get 1 shot at it instead of 3 if you passed. This will increase your winning chances
  
• Round 1 and 2 mean nothing compared to 3 and mostly 4. Try to blow through them, they are almost useless during most games
  
• Fast Money can be frustrating. Sometimes you will get a top answer and it will be 65 points, other top answers will be 16. Sometimes you will just get unlucky, while others extremely lucky. It evens out
  
• If you hit the Xbox Guide button, you can still read the question and get as much time as you want to think
  
• The game stores answers in the quick field above where you type. If you have no clue, type in a letter then a vowel. Or type in a key word from the question. Sometimes the display wll show you the answers. An example is animals with an "M". If you pick M then the vowels, it will show you what the computer thinks you want to say.
  
• If your answer you are trying to type doesn't appear, it means it's not correct.
  
• Sometimes you can get lucky and "like" words will count. Such as saying singer and the answer is entertainer. You can still get credit for things that are the same basic idea.

You will get this for sure as you are playing through your games trying to beat all themes on all difficulties. Every time you win in Fast Money you automatically get $20,000.

 

16 Challenge Mode Games X 3 difficulty settings = $960,000

 

Party Game Modes X 10 = $200,000

 

TOTAL: $1,160,000

This game is probably as easy as Avatar: The Burning Earth as in there is really nothing to getting this 1000 Gamerscore. Using this website here (http://www.familyfeudinfo.com/) you can find almost every answer to every question, and what you can't find, just Google Search and you're all set. The only extra equipment you need is an extra controller for the two player Achievements which are easy as pie. Overall this game's 2/10 Difficulty is probably because it's excruciatingly boring and time consuming. It's more difficult to sit through and play than it is to actually complete.

Two REALLY stupid things I noticed while playing:

 

1) Even if you score 300 points in the first three rounds, the game does NOT end and still forces you to play the Triple round. I had 345 points already, and ended a game with 650 points. You're supposed to win Family Feud by getting 300 points.

 

2) Sometimes in Fast Money it is impossible to reach 200 points even if you have ALL of the top answers and the #2 answer. The game gives random questions in the Fast Money and sometimes it will select a combination where all the first two answers combined will not equal 200 points. Happened to me twice and is very frustrating considering how long each game takes.

I noticed that, too, Gunstar. Maybe they changed the rules in the actual show since the last time I watched, but I always remembered it being the first team to 300 to move on to Fast Money.

 

Thankfully, I've never encountered issue #2.
