JeanRob
Hi guys. Since a friend and me have been doing the same thing since Forza 3, I thought it would be fun to involve more people. The track: Fujimi kaido full The car: Any rally car in S 700 or A 600 (if you can't upgrade it enough. Citroën C4 or DS3 for example). Only exception is the Ford RS 200 that you can upgrade to R3 800. Since it spans 3 continents and 17 hours time difference it will be hard to race together but we can organise a big session for a week-end. We usually race for fun and are not time attackers but let's try to lower the time as luch as possible here! If you see me online and want to have a go together, send me an invitation! DEG23
Count me in. Although i usually only have time to play on weekends, i'm flexible with the times. I just noticed you are in Tokyo, i think that's only a 1 or 2 hour time difference with Sydney. This may sound like a noob question but what exactly classifies a car as a rally car. I always think rally cars are cars like the Stratos and the 80's Quattro but can it include the Evo and WRX?? SatNiteEduardo
I am happy to do something this weekend. What I usually do with Cooker is set the rules for the lobby to quickest lap time wins, set the end race timer to a couple of minutes and then give each other a 10 or 20 second gap so we don't draft each other. Happy to do normal racing as well though and before DEG panics lol I suck at that track, that class and without 99 laps behind me lol. And PS don't let The Big Cooker join. These days whatever time I do he will smash. Is one of the in game groupings rally cars or is it just common sense?
SuperSkyline89
I'd be up for it on the weekend. I'm usually online for an hour or two at the same time as you guys. My Evo IX is A600 so I can use it. I'll buy a Stratos, RS200, and a Ur Quattro and see where I'm comfortable with the upgrades. I never take them farther than one class above stock, it's really just grip and shift times that I like to improve. EDIT: I think I'll get a Ur Quattro into A and an RS200 somewhere in R3. The Stratos I don't want to take any higher than C. I already have an 037 and an RS500 Sierra but they're both B and I really like them where they are. At first glance, I honestly thought you raced the same track over and over lol. This is where i have the advantage, i've been doing the 1 on 1 mountain pass event races with the C and B class and posting decent times, take out all the annoying pedestrian F cars and i will dominate:p
SatNiteEduardo
I might sneak in a few laps tonight lol. You will find in the lower/mid classes I only have a handful of decent times. I think I have only done 1 or 2 clean laps at Fujimi and that was in R1 class. And I think my leaderboard time was from a standing start because I spat the dummy when the leaderboard did not save my better time. S class sounds more manageable but I have a question - do the rally cars we use have to be AWD? And no I am not thinking about butchering an AWD into a RWD but I want to check how high the old Ford Escort can go.

JeanRob
This may some like a noob question but what exactly classifies a car as a rally car. I always think rally cars are cars like the Stratos and the 80's Quattro but can it include the Evo and WRX?? Is one of the in game groupings rally cars or is it just common sense? The way we see it, we use cars that have raced in FIA rally races. Here's what I have in mind at the moment: Citroen C4 \ DS3 Ford Escort 1800 / RS 200 / RS 500 Peugeot 206 RC \207 Super 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer 6 \ 8 \ 9 \ 10 Subaru Impreza 1999 \ 2004 \ 2005 \ 2008 \ 2011 Lancia Stratos \ 037 \ Delta Fiat (Abarth) 131 I might have forgotten a few... S class sounds more manageable but I have a question - do the rally cars we use have to be AWD? If the car was AWD in its rally form it would be closer to reality, even if it means transforming it from RWD to AWD. But honestly there are no rules, we just do it to have fun. We might upgrade some cars too much compared to the tastes of some of you, so if you really want to keep a car in a class lower than A or in RWD, just say it ans we will adapt ourselves. To give you an idea, last night we just did 2 quick 1 lap races with a Lancer Evo 6 in S700 and we were running in 8:50ish with very dirty laps. Ok now for the session together, sadly I won't available this week-end (and not a lot this week) but we could arrange something for Saturday 11 noon Tokyo Time (2PM Sydney time) if you are OK. NY Time would be Friday 10PM and Los Angeles Time would be 7PM. (On a side note, I can only access the website from my iPod this week, my computer being repaired, so don't be surprised if I make a lot of spelling mistakes and take time to reply.) SatNiteEduardo
I can't make it on the 11th but I suggest you guys go ahead if it suits most of you. Before then I will do a single 4 lap run in A, S and R3 to put a time on the leaderboards aiming to do a clean lap. I will use a Ford Escort 1800 in whatever class it can get to and make up the other classes out of Citroen, Peugeot 207 Super, Ford RS200.
Aiden 514
I would, but by the looks of it I would have to be up quite late.
SuperSkyline89
Friday is fine for me. I'll come online at 10PM my time. (Friday Night Smackdown ends at 10, wrestling's my guilty pleasure, reminds me of my childhood) I'll have an Evo IX, RS200, Ur Quattro, and and STi ready by then. DefEdge
Sounds like fun, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to attend. Plus I have a feeling I wouldn't stand up to everyone's times.
SatNiteEduardo
I did 2 standing start s class laps last night. A dirty 9 min including a spin and a roll. My next lap was a big girls blouse clean lap of about the same time. This was with a very early tune in a Peugeot 207 super. I may look for a tune on the SF or try an evo like Jeanrob. JeanRob
I tried the RS 1800 in A600 and I had trouble keeping it from oversteering. Did a 9:22 with 3 spins and a lot of crashes. The Evo 6 in S700 is my fastest car at the moment. Standing start and very dirty lap: 8:28. I'm confident it can go down to 8:10ish

Trying to tune more oversteer into it but still struggling to get there. I think I came close with my tune last night but decided only to run in S class for now. Will do a couple more laps over the weekend. There is only so much Fujimi I can handle in one sitting lol
DEG23
Are there any restrictions for the lap eg, standing start? I am thinking of getting in a few laps tonight to test out some of the cars.
SatNiteEduardo
I have only done standing starts but only because that is what I think Jean Rob has done until now. I am not fussed either way.
JeanRob
I'm only doing standing starts because I don't have a lot of time this week but usually with my friend we do 1 or 2 laps to avoid a one sided race if someone crashes to heavily. But like I said, barely no rules. It's just to have fun. The track and the car type are the basis, after that, anyone can offer a challenge variation. If you think car X for Y laps on Z class is more fun, go ahead and I'll try it
SatNiteEduardo
I am just trying to do the right thing lol Usually I aim for the top time on my friends list and keep going until it is beaten. Sometimes I keep going if I enjoy the track or am close to a leaderboard milestone like top 1000 or top 500 or (fingers and toes crossed) top 200 lol But at fujimi there are not many people on my friends list with clean laps so any clean lap by me usually does the job lol. Sadly this means I am the only guy with a replay saved in S class at this track and I would assume its embarrassing to say the least. All I can say is its clean. I do have an idea for another track and class but will save it for later. If its too hard to get everyone together then we may need to make it a leaderboard battle. I am always happy to race if any of use are online at same time but just as happy with lb battles. There are a few corners on this track that have me stumped. I think its off camber issues making you have to slow down more than expected for certain corners. Even the brake line in the game has no friggin idea lol. PS Off topic I accidentally cut a corner at Road Atlanta the other day and it resembled some of the photos that were shown in the January King of the track challenge thread - 2 wheels on the rumble strip and the other two wheels on the grass so no part of the car on tarmac and the game judged it clean lol I have the photo up on my storefront. We still aim to meet on the weekend and those that can make it get together for a friendly race but everyone is free to post a lap time before then. Winner picks the next challenge? We have a winner here. Great idea! But I think it will mostly turn into a leaderboard battle since we live in so many timezones and lag issues. Ok so this week let's go for the Evo 6 in S700. Fastest clean lap wins. For now it's SatNite with a 9 minutes something. Event ends on Monday midnight Syndey time (Monday 10PM here, Monday 8 AM in NY, Monday 5 AM in LA). DefEdge
Ok, so I made me an Evo 6, how would I go about setting up a time and being able to track everyone else? Do I do a hot lap or what do I do to set this up? I want to do it right, not like I'll win of course.
