Complete Walkthough

Recommended Posts

Alright, I looked on here and we only had a partial one, so I decided to take the time to make a full one, and here it goes.

Let me start off by saying this is my first time doing this, so if I mess up, be nice about letting me know. With that being said, lets get this show on the road. When you first start your game, 72 hour mode, you’re going to be in a chopper. You can press start to skip this, or let it play through if you need the PP. If you need the PP, I would advise you to take pictures of the man trapped on top of his car, the bus surrounded by zombies, the girl on the rooftop, take a picture of her as the zombies overtake her and she falls to her death. Also, get a quick snap shot of the gas station after it explodes and zombies are walking out of it on fire. With that done, you’ll then jump out of the chopper onto the helipad, in which you’re told you have 3 days to be back at the helipad. Dun dun dun. And so the fun begins..

The Arrival

You’ll start out on the roof of the mall, with Carlito standing next to the door. Go in the door and down the steps. You should see a couch and a board with flyers and other assorted papers on it. Get a quick snap shot of that if you need the PP and be sure to line it perfectly as you have a PP indicator on your camera and it should tell you when you’re at 100%. Save if you want, I didn’t, but you can. After that, go into the security room, look at the monitors if you like, if not, exit the security room and take the door directly in front of the air ducts. This should bring you out into a hallway. Follow it until you come to the end, and exit the door for a cutscene. After the cutscene, you’ll be in the Entrance Plaza. Take pictures of all the people you see, as they’ll come in handy later on in the game. In the back of the plaza, where the old couple are talking, walk twoard the closed off part to trigger another cutscene. After the cutscene, you’re gonna want to get something to fight with. Take a quick left and pick up the two baseball bats and the bag of chips before turning right and going straight along that wall. Kill the few zombies you do encounter, and just before you get to the big globe clock, kill all the zombies around the body for a Shotgun. Now that you have that, go up the stairs for yet another cutscene. You can also use other weapons to clear the zombies from the body, but I found using the baseball bat is the easiest route. Congratulations, you’ve now been introduced to what you’re going to have the face the whole game.

After the cutscene is over, you’ll be back in the security room. Go forward and exit the security room and walk over to the man standing next to the air ducts. Otis will then give you a map and a radio transciever. After you get those, head into the ducts. After the load screen has dissappeared, you’re back on the rooftop again. Turn around and take a pic of the air duct entrance to get more PP, then go into picture viewer from the start menu and lock it in by pressing Y. Then take a right next to the elevators to find Jeff. After talking to him, turn back in the direction you started from, and contiune on to the left side of the rooftop to find Natalie. There is a change for a huge PP bounus right when they hug. After they hug, take a quick snapshot of them talking to each other. After you do that, talk to them and Natalie will join you, and then lead them back to the air duct. Viola, you’ve got 2 people out of 50 saved. By the end of the game, you’re gonna wish every survivor was as easy to rescue as these two.

Case 1.1 and 1.2

You should be next to the air ducts, so go back to the rooftop. Don’t forget to stop by the shelf to pick up a bat. Return to the warehouse either by elevator or by taking the door next to where you found Natalie. You should get a call from Otis explaining the mall to you and where you’re at. Exit the warehouse via hallway and just after you round the corner….cutscene. Here Jessie will explain that brad is in trouble and needs backup. She’ll then give you a handgun and the cutscene ends. Exit the door in front of you to Paradise Plaza. When you start out, take a right and go into Cam’s Cameras (P115) and recharge your batteries. After that, go straight ahead into Contemporary Reading and pick up the sports book. It should give your baseball bat extra life. You can also pick up the Photography book as well. It shows PP stickers on the people you save and zombies. After collecting those, head to the staircase next to Kid’s Choice Clothing (P119) and kill all the zombies. Then turn right twoards the awning and jump up on top of it. Stay close the wall as you walk across 4 of them and you get a nice reward. A sub machinegun. Also, be sure to pick up the OJ that you come across sitting next to the bear. Jump down from there(use the knee drop if you have it to prevent any damage) and go back up the stairs you climbed onto the awning from, and head to Columbian Roastmasters for more OJ. Next to the cooler where you get the OJ from, jump off onto another awning to get a Katana. After getting this, jump back down and head to Bachman’s Bookporoium (P108) and pick up the engineering book and the entertainment book, as these come in handy later on in the game.

After you get that, head twoards the entrance of Leisure Park. After getting here, you should get a call from Otis telling you about a photographer in Columbian Roastmasters, so turn around, and go back into Paradise Plaza. Head back up to Columbian Roastmasters and talk to Kent. After the conversation is complete, he’ll want you to take at least two pictures of him with a PP score of 500 or greater. It should be pretty easy, wait until he kneels down to take a photo, and snag a snapshot of him. Then after he takes a pic of you, he’ll do a pose. Get another snapshot of that as well. If that’s not good enough for him, he’s going to run back to the first floor of the plaza. Wait until he does a flying kick to one of the zombie’s and get another photo. This should be an easy 3k PP at least. After you’ve got the photos he wants, you’ll get another cutscene.

After the cutscene, head back out to Leisure Park. If you press Left on the directional pad, it should bring up the cases you have and the time limit remaining on them. Set your only one by pressing A. An arrow should pop up and tell you where to go. This is a helpful little thing that I found very useful throughout the game. Anyway, head on over to the Food Court. If you don’t feel like using your ballbat or any other weapon to clear the zombies out of the way, use the lawnmower off to the right hand side of the doors. After entering the Food Court, you should get another cutscene introducing you to Carlito, your first boss.

There are many ways to defeat Carlito, but the easiest way I found was to jump on the boxes behind where he’s shooting from. Then jump up onto the platform and wait for him to reload. When he does, equip your Katana and have at him. A few good swings should do him in. After that, another cutscene.

Case 1.3

After you defeat carlito, restock on wine if needed located to the left of where you entered. You can also shoot the plates behind the bar for an easy 28k PP boost if needed. If not, follow the arrow to Al Fresca Plaza. As soon as you enter the plaza, take a right into Flexin (A104) for some quit PP. Run on the treadmills for a PP bonus and slash the punching bag for another PP bonus. If you don’t need the PP, then head to the locker room (the gold door) and save. After saving, keep following the arrow until you come to a fountain. In the fountain is another submachine gun. Get it right quick, and follow the arrow to meet Brad at the doors leading to the Entrance Plaza. Enter the doors and follow brad as he’ll open the shutter leading to the other part of Entrance Plaza. Follow him to talk to Dr. Barnaby.

After the cutscene, head up the escilator and take a right. Head to The Closet (E214) and kill the zombies around the store. Then head to the back of the store and take a left. Take your SMG and shoot the bottom boxes out until they all fall over. Behind the boxes is your next character to save, Big Bill. After talking to him for a little while, he’ll have to see for himself that there are in fact zombies running wild in the mall. After that, he’ll join you. Give him the SMG that you used to shoot the boxes with, and head back down stairs. Head out towards Al Fresca Plaza, killing the zombies as you go. You should get yet another call from Otis, wanting you to save two guys in Al Fresca Plaza.

The Barricade Pair

Head back out into the plaza, sticking to the right the whole way. You then should come up on a barricaded door(by barricaded I mean a table and shelf in the way). After killing all the zombies around Weber’s Garments (A106), hold your right trigger and aim right next to the doorway. Then press Y to make Big Bill stay there as you investigate further. Do a jump-kick, if you have it, to clear the doorway. If not, a ballbat or a bench will suffice. As soon as you enter the room, Burt is going to come at you like a bat out of hell. Take a quick snapshot of him, and beat him around a little while. Be careful, though, he can hurt you as well. After you’ve whipped him for a little while, he’ll bend over double and start a conversation. Then, he and Aaron will join you. Give Aaron the other SMG you have and give Burt the shotgun. Now we’re talkin’. Exit the room and head to the food court, killing zombies and pressing Y the whole time. If you’ve already received the call from Otis about A Mother’s Lament, then just head on over to Riverfield Jewelry (A103) to find Leah. If not, head inside the food court as you should get the call as soon as you enter, being that you can’t get calls about rescuing survivors in the same area you’re in. You have to be in a different area to get calls about them.

A Mother’s Lament

As soon as you enter, send the suvivors following you to cover the door while you talk to Leah. She’ll explain what happened to her baby and then agree to join along with you. Jum back over top of the jewelry display and press Y, she should climb across and you then will be able to pick her up. Make your way all the way to the entrance of the food court with Leah on your back pressing Y the whole way. When you arrive at the doors, set Leah down and send the rest of the survivors to the doors. This way, if any of them are in trouble, you can go help, while the rest stay and guard Leah. After regrouping at the doors, head inside the food court and head out twoards Leisure Park. Before you head out though, restock on wine if needed. If not, head through the doors.

The Convicts

These guys are a real bunch of douchebags that hi-jacked a HMMWV that just happens to have a .50 cal on the back. You can get the Carjacker achievement here, but I wouldn’t advise it since your weapons aren’t that great for now. Anyway, stick to the right and head up along the wall in the shadows as they might not spot you. Pick a spot that’s safe and send the rest of the survivors there as you go pick up Sophie. By this time, she should be in the pond somewhere. Just go over and talk to her. She’ll then join your posse. Head back to the rest of the survivors, pick Leah back up, and make your way back to Paradise Plaza keeping to the wall or in the shadows. Kill the zombies next to the door and head inside and make a path of destruction as you kill zombies to make a road for your survivors. Keep moving them up, killing on ahead of them, and moving them up again. This strategy worked great for me. Take them all the way to the security room for a nice bonus of PP, if you need it. After you’ve got them safe, head in the back to where you first came down the staircase from the helipad and take pictures of them. This also helps with the Census Taker achievement. After this, you should have a lot of free time to do some scoops.

Out of Control

Head back out into Paradise Plaza and grab a skateboard from the second floor of SporTrance (P1111). Make sure to re-stock on OJ and get another SMG from the awnings. Then head out to Leisure Park. Make your way accros the park to the Food Court and keep close to the walls to prevent anymore run-ins with the convicts. After entering the Food Court, take a right and head towards Wonderland Plaza. After entering, take a left and head up the escilators. Head straight until you come to where you can up steps to your right. Go up the steps and head to the machine. After examining the machine, here’s your next Psychopath fight. Adam the clown weilds two hand-held chainsaws and is fairly easy to defeat if you employ the right strategy. Wait unil he blows up a baloon, take out your SMG, shoot it, and then use your katana to slash him as he’s dazed. Watch out, though, he’ll blow fire to get you off of him so be quick. A few times of doing this should kill him, and your reward: two awesome chainsaws that you can use the rest of the game. If you got the books that I mentioned earlier: Entertainment Book and the Engineer Book from Bachman’s Books, one of them should last a while. There is another book you should get for these, and I’ll explain in a moment. First, go back to the machine, examine it again to get Greg, Otis’ friend. He will lead you to the bathrooms on the first floor and wait while you go do your next scoop, the Japaneese Tourists. Located in Sir Book-A-Lot (W204) along with the tourists is another book you should get, The Criminal Biography book located in the main back of the store on your right. After getting that, head behind the counter and pick up the japanese book(you need this to communicate with the tourists, and if your item bar is full, drop something you don’t need until the conversation with them is finished, since you don’t need the book anymore) and go talk to them. After a few mins of bickering back and forth, they’ll bow to show approval, you should get another snapshot of this for another huge PP bonus. After they agree to follow you, head outside and kill the cops located at the top of the stairs. Take their pistols and give them to the tourists. Make your way back down to the bathroom, killing everything in your path with your chainsaw. After arriving, Greg has unlocked a new way from Paradise Plaza to Wonderland Plaza, so use it. As soon as you get to Paradise Plaza, give Greg a pistol that you got from the cops. Head back to Wonderland Plaza. Here is where the real fun begins, while you were in Paradise Plaza, Otis should have called you with another scoop, Shadow of the North Plaza.

Shadow of the North Plaza

Head out of the bathroom with your 3 survivors and take a right. Make a path good enough for them to run through and head up the steps to the North Plaza. Go straight, again making another path, until you come into a large room with scaffolds constructed. Press left again and set your scoop for Shadow of the North Plaza. Remember to keep using way-points to keep your survivors safe, as they can defend themselves against five or six zombies, but have trouble with a crowd as you do not. After reaching David, set a way-point for your survivors to cover the door once again. Talk to him and use the food there to heal yourself or your survivors. After that, David will need to be carried so this only makes it harder. Make your way back out and take a right, using the way-point strategy. Move up and kill zombies, then set a way-point for them to run to, go back and get david, and continue the process. Make your way to Huntin’ Shack (N127) to face your next psychopath, Cletus.

Psychopath Cletus

The easiest way to do this is to hide behind the display on the left, wait until he starts reloading and take a quick snapshot of him. Then take out your chainsaws and go to work, but don’t get too close, as he will pick you up and throw you away. If you have a pistol or an smg, you can open the doors outside of the shop and kill him that way. Make sure to keep your survivors safe outside of the shop, so set a way-point to the left corner of the room. After defeating Cletus, stock up on shotguns and maybe a rifle or two, as they will be needed later on. Also, don’t forget about the bottle of wine he was drinking, pick that up too if you have room. After that, head back out and down the hallway using the way-point method, and take a left. Follow this until you’ll come to Pearly Whites Photo (N101). Recharge your batteries, and continue to the door. Once outside in Leisure Park, take a left and stay along that wall, keeping in the shadows away from the Convicts. Once you reach Paradise Plaza, head on up to the Security Room for your next scoop, Image in the Monitor. After that, head back out and onto the rooftop as Otis will call you and tell you Jessie needs to see you. Head back to the security room. Give yourself a pat on the back, Case 1 is in the books.

Case 2.2 Saving the Proffessor

After the cutscene, you’ll have to help Brad out again. Head down to Paradise Plaza and stock up on OJ and maybe an SMG, although you probably won’t need it. After that, head back towards the entrance to the warehouse and go straight to take you to the Entrance Plaza. After you enter, a cutscene should take over, as Carlito is back again, except this time it looks like he’s got a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle. Head up the escilator and go to Shooting Star Spoortingoods (E207) and pick up two hockey sticks. Trade them off for items you don’t need, if your item bar is full. After that, head to the colum on the left of the passage where Carlito is. Hold your right trigger down and aim carefully and shoot the pucks at Carlito. This saves your health and Brad’s as well. After the first stick is gone, he should be about done for, so zig-zag your way down to where he’s at and hit him once with the chainsaw. Another cutscene comes up and Brad gets shot in the leg. You also rescue the professor and take him back to the security room for further interrogation. After the cutscene is done with, you’ve got another scoop you’ve got to handle: Medicine Run.

Case 2.3 Medicine Run

Head down to Paradise Plaza and get some OJ, if needed. After that, head to the female bathroom and save. After your save, head to the Wonderland Plaza via the secret passageway that Greg opened. After exiting the bathrooms, take your right and head towards the steps to the North Plaza. After going down the hallway, head straight in front of you to find Seon’s Food & Stuff (L1). After you enter, you should get another call from Otis, he’s really getting annoying isn’t he? Anyway, answer that, and pick up some apples or something else to eat to get you to full health, you’re going to need it. You’ve got another Psychopath to defeat: Steve, the grocery store manager, and boy he doesn’t want you untidying his store. So head to the back to the double doors for another cutscene.

Psychopath Steve

Steve’s cart that he’s pushing is very dangerous, so watch out. As soon as it loads, take a quick snapshot of him pushing it for your psycho collector achievement. After that, get out of the way, as he’s coming through. Climb up on top of one of the displays and go to the other side. Then he’ll put out his shotgun and look around as if he’s lost. Sneak around behind him with your chainsaws and do him in. Three or four good whacks should do it. After that, you’ll get a key from him. So head back to the double doors and follow the tunnels to the pharmacy to get the first aid kit. You should have gotten a call from Otis before you got to the North Plaza about some survivors located in the Wonderland Plaza, so set your waypoint there and head off.

The Lovers

Tonya and Ross. He’s crippled and she makes you crippled with her slow moving. Nonetheless, they need saving. So head up to Run Like the Wind (W201) to find them in the back. After what seems like three years of talking to them, give Tonya a pistol or any weapon you have to use and take off with Ross on your back. Be sure to not give Ross a gun though, when he asks for it, because he will blow his brains out and you won’t get the Saint achievement. Make your way downstairs to the bathrooms and to the secret passage to Paradise Plaza. Then head back to the security room with both the medecine and Tonya and Ross. Along with the scoop call for the lovers, you should have gotten another one, The Hatchet Man. This is, yet another Psychopath you have to defeat so be prepared. Wait for Jessie’s full response when you give her the medicine to start the next case.

Case 2.4 The Proffessor’s Past

The cutscene gives background info, which turns out to be a lie in the end anyway, about the proffessor. After you watch it all, or if you skip it, head back to Paradise Plaza and grab a skateboard. Then head out into Leisure Park and make your way to the North Plaza. You can discard the skateboard once you get there, since you don’t need it anymore. After entering the North Plaza, head over to Crislip’s Home Saloon (L2). Here is where you meet the hatchet man, Cliff.

After the cutscene is over, hit him with your chainsaw and he will run to one of the holes in the floor. Right when he jumps in, snap a pic for extra PP. After that, watch to see which rack he comes out on top of, and climb it to fight him with your chainsaw. If he jumps down, go right with him. The fight shouldn’t last more than 5 mins at the most, after he’s defeated, you get the Empty Store Room Key. After you get this, grab the machete and run out of the store. After it loads take a right and go into the room next door to the hardware store. There should be three survivors in there: Barbara, Josh, and Rich. After snapping their photos, you can give them guns if you like, but make your way back to Paradise Plaza. As you reach the entrance to the warehouse, you should hear a girl screaming for help. Set a waypoint for your current survivors to stay, and go help her out. After that, she should join you along with her sister standing in the store in front of you. You should get a call from Otis at 11 A.M. so just hang out in the warehouse if you’re a tad early. The call will say that Jessie needs to see you and for you to come to the security room. Head on back up there to complete Case 2.

Case 3.1 Another Source

Head back down to Paradise Plaza, and on your way, you should get a call from Otis about another scoop. Head down to Jill’s Sandwiches (P104) to find Ronald, the glutton. Remember to take some food with you, if you have none, there is a snack in the fountain right outside of Jill’s, convenient , eh? Anyway, give him the food after you talk to him, and get a quick shot of him laughing after you give him the food for extra PP. After all this, it should be almost noon, so head back to Coloumbian Roastmasters to meet Kent. If he’s not there, he should be close, so listen for his annoying laughter. After this, head for the Al Fresca Plaza to find Gordon in McHandy’s Hardware (A105) hiding behind the counter with his ass in the air. Get a quick snapshot of him like this, and if he gets stubborn about leaving, give him a good kick or a punch with no weapon equipped to set him straight. After that, find a weapon in the store to give to him such as a lead pipe or a chainsaw. After this, head back to the Food Court and stock up on wine. Then head back across Leisure Park to Paradise Plaza, again staying in the shadows. As you enter, it should go to a cutscene of the cult leader, Sean. After that, set a waypoint for your survivors and quicky dispose of the cult members in yellow rainjackets with your chainsaw. After you’re done wasting them, open the crate to find Jennifer. She will come along with you and the rest of your posse as you make your way back to the security room. By now, it should be close to 3 P.M., so hang out in the warehouse until Otis calls you again, he sees Isabella on the security camera. Head back to the security room. Vioala case 3 is finished.

Case 4.1 Girl Hunting

Head back out into Paradise Plaza and enter Wonderland Plaza via the secret passage. Exit the bathrooms and take a left until you come to some stairs. Go up the stairs and head for Comtemporary Purses (W203) on the right hand side. After entering, a cutscene should start immediately. Meet psychopath Jo. One crazy lesbian if you ask me. Anyway, after the cutscene is over, snap her pic and hit her once with the chainsaw and back up. This makes her come after you, thus leaving the hostages alone. If you still have your chainsaw, make quick work of her and finish her off. Afterwards, help the four girls she has tied up. You can give them weapons if you like, but I think only two of them will carry the weapons, the rest want to hold your hand. If you have played through this at all, you might have fought Jo and she had less than four hostages, the reason being you entered Wonderland Plaza while the scoop was active. Once you enter an area where the scoop is located, it activates, and if you leave for another part of the mall, it would be like leaving survivors behind. Anyway, take the four girls back down the steps and go straight. You should see a huge bunny with someone hanging off of it. Kill all the zombies around the back glass, set a waypoint for the girls to stay, and head for the bunny. Kill all of the zombies around it and snap a photo of each person dangling from the bunny’s hand. To get them down, simply hit them with a book by throwing it at them. Talk to both of them and give Nick a weapon if you like. Then make a beeline back to the bathrooms and save. After saving, take the hostages back through the secret passage and on to the security room. When you have a lot of survivors, the easiest way I found to sift through the crows is to head through the water. This works great unless you have someone that you have to hold their hand or carry them on your back. If not, then just cut your path out of zombies and call them through it. Anyway, on to the next case we go.

Head back to the bathrooms of Paradise Plaza and save again(yes I know, lots of saving). After saving, head to Wonderland Plaza throught passage. From there, take a right and go up to the North Plaza and head for the Huntin’ Shack. Get a rifle or two and a shotgun, they are needed. After that, head to Seon’s Food & Stuff. As soon as you get here, another cutscene. Oh no, Isabella’s on a motorcycle. No worries, friends. Climb up on a scaffold for a vantage point as she should get stuck on some boxes. Take out your rifle and blast away until she’s finished. Another cutscene. During this cutscene, she’ll make a promise to you that she’ll bring Carlito to you for questioning. Yeah, right. Head back to the secret passage and back to Paradise Plaza. As soon as you get in the bathroom, Otis should call three times in a row to give you new scoops for the Entrance Plaza. So, head on over there.

As soon as you enter, another cutscene should start. Yet another psychopath fight, except this time, you’ve got three to deal with. After the cutscene’s over, head up the escilator and take a left toward the shooters. If you’re quick enough, you can get a snapshot of them together. After that, take out your chainsaw and go after them, as you should be able to outrun them. Take one at a time, running after him and killing him with the chainsaw until the last one is dead. You can pick up the rifles if you like, though you don’t need them.

After that, head downstairs to Gramma’s Kids (E105) to find Jolie, mourning over the loss of her friend..or so she thinks. She’ll not want to leave with you, but as you’re walking to the door, she’ll call you back to join you. After that, head back upstairs to Estelle’s Fine-Lady Cosmetics to find Wayne cowering in the back of the store to your right. After talking to him, he too will join you. Give him a weapon if you like, but it’s not needed at this time. After getting Wayne, take the two to Ladies’ Space (E216) to find Jolie’s friend, Rachel. The two will have a hug, which is an oppotune time to take a photo for more PP, and then she too will join you. After you have all three of them, head out to Ned’s Nicknackery (E205) to find Floyd in the back. After some arguing with the old coot, he’ll agree to join you, too. Don’t forget to kick the glass out and get a battle axe or a sword. Now is the time to give Wayne a weapon as you make your way back to the security room. Don’t forget to stop and get some food for Ronald or he will take his entire room out to look for some and they’ll be gone for good.

It should be around midnight by this time, so make your way back to the North Plaza. If not, wait in Leisure Park until it’s midnight, and Otis will call you with another scoop. After you get the call from Otis, enter the North Plaza and set your waypoint from your watch to Isabella’s Meetingplace. Head over to there. Before enter, there should be another survivor, Kindell, in a tux and carrying a shotgun. Talk to him and then enter to talk to Isabella. After the cutscene, you learn that Carlito has shot Isabella, so take her and Kindell both back to the security room by going across Leisure Park. After you’ve got to the security room, head back out into Paradise Plaza. If it’s before 2 A.M., just mess around by killing zombies or other things as Otis will you call you at this time and tell you Floyd needs some wine, how perfect. So head over to Chris’s (F103) in the Food Court to pick him up some wine. Return back to the security room and watch the cutscene. After Dr. Barnaby is dead, take floyd his wine and return back to Paradise Plaza. Now take a left and head over to Colby’s Movieland (L1), killing everyone in a yellow raincoat you see. Once you’ve entered, head to Cinema #4 but watch out for guys in the yellow raincoats, if they capture you, you cannot save the survivors. So take out your chainsaw and finish them off rather quickly. When done with them, head to Cinema #4.

Psychopath Sean

This is probably the easiest of all psychopath’s to defeat because he’s got a huge sword and doesn’t know when or how to use it. Wait until he swings this mammoth thing at you and go to town cutting and hacking with the chainsaw. After he’s dead, watch the cutscene because it’s the coolest ending to a psychopath on the game. Anyway, after that, there should be 4 survivors in this room. So take a quick snapshot of Sean to net you the Psycho Collector and Punisher achievements, and run around the room helping the survivors. After freeing them, dish out some weapons and run to the bottom left door of where you fought Sean to find his final hostage, Chery. You now should have 5 survivors to follow you and you’re pretty close to the security room, so you shouldn’t have much of a problem getting them there. Do watch out for all the guys in raincoats, however, because once you kill Sean they’re going to start pouring into the Cinema. Make your way down to Cinema #2 to pick up some food near the stage. If it’s close to 3 A.M., Otis should call you and tell you that Isabella’s awake, so make your way back to the security room.

Case 6.1 The Last Resort

As you return back to the rooftop, turn around and snap a picture of the air duct if you haven’t done so already, because you’re going to need it. After that, head down to the bathrooms of Paradise Plaza and over to the North Plaza via secret passage. Head back to the Huntin’ Shack to find 3 survivors in there. Be cautious though, they will shoot at you. If you get caught in the crossfire, use the double tap dive move that Frank has to exit the store. Brett, the leader of the gang, will then come out to talk to you. He’ll also want to have proof that you are collecting survivors so show him the picture of the air duct so show him the picture and they all 3 will join you. After they join you, take them back to Paradise Plaza by way of Leisure Park. IF the convicts have respawned, it’l take them a while to get to you and you should be able to make it across. After dropping them off at the security room, head back out and you should get a call from Otis. Head to the foodcourt to find Gil, who happens to be my favorite survivor, because he has given up on life and hit the bottle. Get Gil and take him to Wonderland Plaza. Head to Shoes of a Lifetime (W103) to find paul, your next psychopath terrorizing two innocoent women. Deal with paul the same way you would any other psychopath, and put him out using the fire extinguisher as he turns from psychopath to survivor. Then gether up the two women and take all of them to the toilets and back to Paradise Plaza, then on to the security room. Remember to snap their pictures on the rooftops if you haven’t done so already.

At appx. 8 A.M., Otis should call you again about a sick man in Wonderland Plaza, so make your way over there. Stock up on OJ and a SMG would be nice to have as well. Anyway, after getting some items, head to Wonderland Plaza via the bathrooms. Head to Estelle’s Fine Lady Cosmetics (W110), but before you enter, there shoul be a woman on top of a soccer ball in the play pen surrounded by zombies. Go over and save her then enter the store. After talking to Leroy, take them both back to the bathrooms and save. After saving, head back to Paradise Plaza and the security room. After returning the survivors, you should have a little free time to stock up on weapons and OJ, so I would advise to do so. At appx. 10:30 PM Carlito gives a call to Isabella over the loudspeaker of the mall, this should be your cue to head back to the warehouse and wait for Otis to call you at 11. After he calls you, head back to the security room for another cutscene.

Case 7.1 Bomb Collector

After the cutscene, head back out to Paradise Plaza and wait around in Columbian Roastmasters until noon when Kent shows up. If you’re not there, he will kill Tad, your next survivor. After dealing with Kent, take Tad back to the security room. As you enter the warehouse, Otis wil probably call you again about a woman in dispair, so take tad and head back out into Paradise Plaza. Head for Players (P103) to find Simone, your next survivor. Talk to her and get her to join you and head off for the security room. After you save the survovirs, head to Kendel’s room to talk to him. He’s created some kind of mutiny and you have to put it down. After dealing with that, head out into Leisure Park and over to the Maintenance Tunnels. Check your map if you don’t know where it is, it should be located close to the entrance to the North Plaza. Get in the little red sportscar and lets go for a drive. After locating the first white van, open the back up and take out the bomb inside. Then jump in the white sportscar and head to the next one. Keep repeating this process until you’ve found all of the bombs and head topside, as a cutscene will follow. On about the second bomb, Carlito will come up in a van driving like a madman. The easiest way to kill him is to get closeup with the chainsaw or the megaman gun, if you have it. After the fight is over, collect the rest of the bombs and head back up to the entrance of the maintenance tunnels for yet another cutscene.

Case 7.2 Jamming Device

After disposing of the bombs, get back in the little red sportscar and head back down inside the maintenance tunnels. As soon as it loads take a right, then the first left, and again the first right. You should see a zombie down on the end of the parking area, go take a picture of zombie Brad. Cha-ching, achievement Snuff Shot B. Also, while you’re down there, you can head inside the room and pick up the maintenance tunnel key if you like. After you’re done with this, drive back out, and head to the Paradise Plaza entrance. Head inside and stock up on food and weapons, since you have until 5 P.M. to goof off. At 5, though, Otis will call you again and you must head up to the security room because Paul has a present for you. Head into the room Paul is and receive your present, even though it’s too little too late by now. After that, head outside onto the rooftop and talk to Isabella, as she’ll lead you to Carlito’s hideout, which is in the North Plaza close to the Huntin’ Shack. So head out of Paradise Plaza and into Leisure Park with Isabella behind you. Make your way to the North Plaza. Head down the hallway to the Huntin’ Shack making sure Isabella is behind you the whole time. After arriving at the Huntin’ Shack, turn around and walk towards Isabella for another cutscene. Now that you’re in Carlito’s hideout, head towards Isabella for yet another cutscene, only to find out that Carlito’s computer is password protected, and that you find the jamming device that’s been keeping Jessie’s phone from calling out to DHS Headquarters. Also Jessie should call you and tell you she needs you back at the security room, so head that way. On the way back, stop in Wonderland Plaza and kill one of the cops on the second floor near where you got the Japanese Guys. Pick up the handgun as this will come in handy in a min. Otis should call you pretty soon and tell you that Simone wants a handgun, so bring it to her. She should be on the room on the right, along with Paul the arsonist, and Floyd the drunk.

Case 8.3 The Butcher

After Simone gets her gun, head back out into Paradise Plaza and snatch the SMG from the awnings, as we’ll need it here in a min. Next, head outside through Leisure Park to the Mainenance Tunnels. You can either take the red sportscar from here, or take the Maintenance Tunnel entry next to the bathrooms in Paradise Plaza to get to the white sports car, either way is fine. Set your destination to the Meat Packing Area, it would be to the left from the entrance where the red sportscar is. Enter there for another cutscene. If it’s really close to 7 P.M., don’t enter the door yet, stay in the sportscar and wait for Otis to send his final transmission to you. It should be a request from Cheryl, and you should get the achievement. Anyway, head in the door and deal with Larry, the next psychopath the same as the rest. Either shoot him from a distance with a shotgun or rifle, to get up close and personal with the chainsaws. I used the chainsaws here, as I thought it was easier. After he’s dead, snap a photo of him. You should already have the Psycho Collector achievement, but we need this photo for the Full Set achievement.

Now that the room is empty, it’s the perfect time to get the Perfect Gunner achievement. Take out your SMG that I noted to bring, aim at a piece of meat, and empty the gun for the achievement. After you do that, exit the room and head for the white van park near the start of the end of the parking area. After getting in the van, head for the exit, which from getting in the van would be a right, then another right. After doing this, drive the van to the entrance of Paradise Plaza. From here, head to the security room as this is your only chance to do Cheryl’s request of taking 3 photos of her posing. After doing that, you have plenty of time to kill until 10 P.M. when Isabella should call you and tell you to come back to the hideout. This should give you appx. one hour to get back there. After you’ve made it to Carlito’s hideout, head towards Isabella for the next cutscene.

The Facts

Make your way back to the security room, and as you do, watch the cutscenes that detail what’s going to happen next. As you’re on the rooftop, you should get your last one before heading into the air duct to get to the security room. As you enter the security room, another cutscene takes over and you see Jessie’s glasses. After that cutscene, walk to the door where the survivors are, and bam, zombie Jessie. Take a quick snapshot of her for the Snuff Shot J achievement, and then finish her off. Before leaving the security room, look on the desk next to the monitors for a not from Otis. That old bastard, aggravating as hell through the whole game and now he’s taken your survivors and R.U.N.N.O.F.T. Anyway, after reading that, head back to the hideout for yet another cutscene. After it’s over, you’ve got 10 hours to kill until you have to be back at the Helipad. You can get achievements during this time such as the Stunt Rider, get on the motorcycle in the north plaza and jump it at least 20 feet, Hella Copter, get a rifle from the Huntin’ Shack and zombie walk on the zombies in Leisure Park and get on top of one of the white things in the park to take pop shots at the helicopter pilot. Or, you can get the Legendary Soldier achievement by killing 10 special forces personnel. Whatever you do, do not let the Special Forces catch you as you’ll miss out on Ending A and that’s what we’re striving for.

Anyway, do whatever until 10, and then Isabella will call you back to the Hideout. Isabella will tell you to save yourself, and you must go back to the Hideout. If you do not, you cannot unlock overtime mode and there would be no point in playing anymore. Anyway, head back to the security room and up to the helipad where you started the game from and wait for two hours. The mall is completely empty now, except for Special Forces soldiers, which is even creepier than it full of zombies.

Overtime Mode

After getting the 3 day survivor achievement, you should be feeling pretty good, but you’re not out of the woods yet, my friend. You’ll start off back in the hideout where Isabella saved you from the rooftop. After talking to her a bit, you’ll learn you’ve been bitten, who would have ever thought, right. Anyway, she’ll give you a shopping list so you better get to work. Head back down and out of the hideout only to find no zombies what so ever…for now. However, there are special forces soldiers lurking around and those little bots are flying overhead as well, so be careful.

If you’re low on ammo at this point, take a left and head to the Huntin’ Shack to get some shotguns. After that, head out into the North Plaza and make your way to Seon’s Food & Stuff. Here you will have to get a first aid kit, in the same place as the first aid kit you retrieved for Brad on the Medicine Run mission. Be cautious, though, as there are several Special Forces soldiers in the supermarket. Take out your chainsaw and dispose of them quickly. If you’re low on health, stop off at the wine display and fill up on health. Then get the first aid kit and high tail it out of the supermarket to avoid anymore confrontations with those soldiers.

After you exit the supermarket, Isabella’s motorcycle should be sitting in front of the doors, so hop on it, and take it down to Wonderland Plaza. After arriving, head to Wonder Jewels on the first floor on the right. There you will find a magnifying glass you need, so pick it up. After retrieving it, hop back on your bike and head out for the food court. Take that first right up the stairs and go to Frozen Dreams. On the back counter, there should be a blender, pick it up as well. Hop back on your bike and head back to Wonderland Plaza. Hit the bathrooms and take the shortcut to Paradise Plaza. After you get to Paradise Plaza, save, and make your way to the second floor of SporTrance. On the other side of the skateboard rack, there will be some cold spray you need. Get it, and head back downstairs to Cam’s Cameras to get the developing solution. After getting that, head back out of the store, and take a left to the Entrance Plaza. Go up the escalator and go into Estelle’s Fine Lady Cosmetics. The perfume you need is in the middle of the store on a shelf. After getting that, head all the way down to the end where the Bee Clock is, and go in the camping store on your right. There should be a camp stove in here you need. After getting that, go up the steps there to find the door that Otis had welded shut is now unlocked. Head up to the security room to get the coffee filters, and take the same route out that you took coming in, because the warehouse is crawling with soldiers. After making it back Paradise Plaza, take the shortcut back to Wonderland Plaza and take the long hallway that leads back to the North Plaza. Head back to the hideout and give Isabella all of the Items you’ve collected.

After the cutscene, you’re going to have to get 10 queens for the contraption Isabella is cooking up to work, so head back out of the hideout. If you don’t have the photography book from Cotemporary Reading, I suggest you go get it because it makes things a lot easier. After getting the book, head out into Leisure Park to find some queens. The zombies with the queens have green markers above their heads, so they should be pretty easy to spot. I suggest, though, before you do anything with the queens, that you have at least 5 slots open in your item inventory. It saves a lot of time and work this way as you will only be making two trips to Isabella to deliver the queens. While you’re in Leisure Park, head over to the clock tower for another cutscene. My lord what a horde of zombies. After the cutscene is over, pick up the generator on the other side of the clock tower to save yourself a trip. If you’re having trouble capturing the queens, Wonderland Plaza and the North Plaza should have some zombies in them by now.

I would advise saving your game now, because this next little bit is a tad tricky. After saving, take Isabella by the hand as you lead her down this dark, gloomy hallway of death. It helps to walk here, so that her perfume will have time to take effect and knock back the zombies, and so that you two don’t get separated. Walk up to the gate, and to the left of it should be a drain shaft. Open it so Isabella can crawl through, and while she’s on the other side opening the gate, you get to fend for yourself against millions of zombies. I used the Double Lariat here since it knocks out 4-8 zombies at one time. After the gate is open, head through it and use the raised platforms to your advantage. Isabella should be ok since she’s got the perfume on to knock the zombies back. Head through the gate at the end. There should be a few weapons lying around that you can use, and if you see a queen, step in a capture it, and use it to clear a path. Carry on to the next gate, so that Isabella can climb through to open it, yet again and another cutscene.

After the cutscene, save your game. Since her perfume has worn off, you can now give her a piggy back ride through the crowd. If you have a queen, use it to kill the zombies here to clear a path, head to the end and take the left tunnel. Up the steps to your right is a panel that controls to gate, so activate it. Be weary when you enter the gate, though, there are soldiers here. Also, there are some apples on the right hand side, if you need food, if not, save them for later, you’re going to need it. After you’ve got what you want, head for the jeep. After you get in it, there will be another cutscene.

This is by far, the hardest part of the game, as it takes forever to complete. You basically have three areas that you should concentrate your fire on: two “headlights” one on either side, and the missile turret. All three have green markers on them, so they’re not that hard to spot. If the missile turret pops up, though, I would advise shooting at it in fear of it shooting you first. The tank will periodically release drones and homing missiles, so take care of those A.S.A.P. and then return your fire to the tank.

And here we have it folks, the last boss fight of the game, Brock, leader of the special forces. You can’t use any weapons here, so I suggest you do the jump kick followed by the swift kick(Jump X, then X as he lands) because Brock will usually block the jump kick, and the swift kick does some damage. If he does manage to knock you off the tank, get back on it as soon as possible. Repeat the jump kick/swift kick until he’s dead. THE END…but what about our survivors?

There it is, complete. Thanks to JDM and PH7 and I’d like to give a shoutout to my friend Bryon who let me borrow the game.
