Would you become a cyborg?

I just played a TON of XCOM: Enemy Within, and I loved it.

It got me wondering, IF you could replace one of your bodies with a superior cybernetic component, BUT you would lose your sense of touch/nerve endings. Which body part(s) would you replace and why?

I'll start with myself as an example.

I would definitely replace my right eye. I have right eye that was permanently injured in a car accident, no nerve endings in the eye, so, win win.

Other than that, maybe my legs, so I could run faster. Just hard to remember not to play "footsey" with a girl under the table.

What do you say group, what would you get SAWN-OFF and replaced with a cyborg version?

Hell yeah. Keep my (pea) brain and give me an unbreakable exoskeleton! Spent most of my life getting thrown of various single person vehicles.. The cyborg route is something I'd try (and fantasized about when mending broken bones, etc)

Isn't cybernetics just augmentations both biological and/or mechanical? Then again it can go to certain extremes, I guess...

Anyway, I figure I would do something about my eyes. Due to them being quite crappy, though I'm getting laser corrective eye surgery in a couple of months. So it seems a bit unnecessary, but still:

If she doesn't want to play "footsey" any more, that's a girl you don't want to interact with.

But the cybernetic eye would win you plenty of footsey time!

Seems like eyes are a popular choice:p I too would get rid of my left eye. Due to side effects of some medication I was on over 10 years ago my left eye is permanently causing me grief so I'd replace that first. Go for a nice top of the line eye ball, night vision, full scale zoom, picture and video recording capabilities:p

I'd give my right arm and left leg for some automail.

Actually, I'm nearly blind in one eye and the other one's not so great. There's a constant ringing in my ears and lower sounds are muffled. Kidney stones are a common occurrence. Cancer runs in my family. I ruined my taste-buds by constantly burning my tongue. Living with smokers my whole life, I have various breathing problems. Most of my teeth are broken. On top of that, I have oddly thin arms and a fat gut.

So HELL YES I would get myself a synthetic body if I could. I'd even replace parts of my brain if it would improve my memory.

My eyes are buggered, not blind but my vision is terrible and I can't do anything without glasses. Wouldn't mind getting some enhanced optics.

Wouldn't swap anything else at the moment as I'm happy how I am and reasonably healthy but if they could pop my L5 back into it's proper place in line with the rest of my spine I'd appreciate it. :p
