When the new challenge arrive (reset time occurs for gifts) upload your save to the cloud. 2. Send 3 gems to any friends. 3. Download your save. 4. Rinse and repeat steps 2 and 3. You can only send gems to different friends each time. It will not allow you to repeat friends you already gifted. So you can send each friend a gem a day for free. At least, until it's patched.
