Welcome to GRID Autosport, sequel to Race Driver: GRID & GRID 2. The game returns expanding and improving from GRID 2 in many areas including the return of the cockpit view and career teams. The game features a Career mode, Custom Cup, Splitscreen & Multiplayer. The Career features over 75 cars split into five disciplines; Touring, Endurance, open Wheel, Tuner & Street with specialised events for each discipline. The game features 22 locations across over 100 routes spanning the USA, Spain, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Japan, Austria, UAE & Turkey.

Career

There are 32 achievements tied to the Career mode worth 645:gsicon:. Although you're not required to win every single championship to unlock the final GRID Series championships, you will need to win the majority of them within each discipline to earn enough XP to progress. Specifically reaching level with each discipline to unlock the final Legends Series.

You will unlock 5 achievements for 75:gsicon: for playing any championship as Ravenwest for each of the 5 disciplines, which is done by simply winning a championship to unlock the Ravenwest offer, and playing it again as the new team. You will unlock another 5 achievements for 50:gsicon: for unlocking a specific championship within each of the five disciplines, which is done by simply hitting level 5 in each discipline. Another 5 achievements for 125:gsicon: is earned by mastering each discipline which is done by hitting level 10 in all of them, and reaching this level requires 1 million XP.

There are a few remaining Career achievements that you will unlock like the rest through natural progression, such as accepting your first team offer, completing your first season, completing team targets, playing a season with every team and ultimately winning the GRID Series championships which are unlocked once you have mastered the five disciplines of racing.

Multiplayer

There are 12 achievements tied to Multiplayer play worth 300:gsicon:. 10 achievements require Xbox Live whilst 2 achievements must be earned in Split Screen mode by simply winning a five-event competition. You will earn 5 achievements for 50:gsicon: for reaching level 10 in each of the five disciplines online, which requires roughly 30,000-50,000 XP varying from discipline to discipline. You will ultimately need to reach level 250 overall, which can consist of all five disciplines combined, as well as reaching a single car to level 99. Other miscellaneous multiplayer achievements include winning 100 races, buying a car, full upgrading a car and earning a platinum medal in a racenet challenge.

Miscellaneous

There are only 4 achievements worth 40:gsicon: outside the Career and Multiplayer portion of the game. 2 achievements can be earned by setting up a Custom Cup from the main menu, assign 5 events of your choice and win. Another achievement requires you to change your tune setup before any race and win, and the final achievement will require you to place first in a qualifying event to be placed at the front of the pack during the race afterwards.

Conclusion

The achievement list for GRID Autosport is really simple overall, the Career portion is extremely easy even for new players new to racing, and the mode offers a decent chunk of content. The multiplayer portion is also simple in what it asks, but extremely time consuming especially in reaching level 250 overall, and level 99 with a single car. This is where you will be spending most of your time on GRID Autosport, either spend an extremely long time racing online, or slightly less time using the time trial method (see "I've stopped counting") to rack up XP at a much quicker rate.

You won the most prestigious driver's championship, in every discipline, for Ravenwest.

Firstly, you need to unlock the final championship for each of the five disciplines by reaching level 8. Now you need to compete in and win each of those championships with either offer to unlock a third offer from Ravenwest. You now need to replay each championship as Ravenwest and win again. As these final championships are 10-14 events long with multiple races within each event, this will take a while.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3002/30.jpg Everyone's a winner - 100:gsicon:

Congratulations! You won the "GRID Legends Series".

The GRID Legends Series can be found within the GRID Series discipline, and it is the third and final championship you unlock once you reach level 9 with all five disciplines ; Touring, Endurance, Open Wheel, Tuner & Street. You will also need to win both the GRID Grand Slam & GRID Masters Trophy to unlock the GRID Legends Series. Win the championship by placing first on the driver leaderboard overall to earn both this and the "Everyone’s a winner" achievement.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3002/32.jpg Here are the keys - 5:gsicon:

You splashed the cash and bought your first car in Online.

Go to the Online Menu and select My Vehicles then select an empty slot. From here you can either buy your vehicle brand new or used. The only difference is that used cars will have mileage and other stats such as wins, losses and crashes tied to them, whilst new cars will not. Used cars are also 20-30% cheaper depending on the car, but a lot of the cars will be “out of stock”, whilst with new cars you’re able to buy any car providing you have the money.

If you’re just looking to get the achievement the cheapest way possible for the time being, select the Used Vehicle Shop >Touring > Classic Mini Cup and you can purchase the Mini Miglia for $8,511.

To reach level 99 with a single vehicle, you will need to acquire around 500,000 XP with that vehicle. As for earning a Platinum medal, you will need to try the discipline you’re most confident in and attempt it a few times for practice, as they’re not extremely difficult but more so takes a bit of perseverance.

http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/3002/48.jpg The Journeyman - 10:gsicon:

You raced one season with each of the 10 teams in the career.

For this achievement, you will need to choose each of 10 available teams and complete a whole championship (season) as them in the Career. Some players have reported K&N Motorsport to not show up for them, and so it is more likely for the team to show up in the GRID Legends series if the offer does not come up before then. To be able to play as Ravenwest, you need to complete a championship as any team beforehand to unlock the Ravenwest offer. The 10 teams include;

  • Intel Motorsport

  • Forge Motorsport
  • Razer Motorsport
  • K&N Motorsport
  • Cusco Racing

Race Type – Race

No. of Events – 5

AI Drivers – None

Now select Event Details and set the following to all five events;

Location – Barcelona

Track – Fountain Loop

Conditions – Any

Laps – 1

Each event will take 90 seconds to complete including loading times, the lap itself is only 50 seconds long. You do not have to win all five events for the achievement, but make sure you have the most points at the end.

Good job Barad. Fairly self explanatory list really :)

Cheers, list is indeed much simpler than the last two GRID games, though this one seems like it will take longer to complete the first two games combined.

Thanks the list doesn't seem so bad with a roadmap!
Sure I will update roadmap shortly. :p

I was in a lobby last night with 2 of the developers and they said to reach lvl 250 requires 5 million XP. They also said you would have to have a full lobby for every race, then you would need to win every race, and have clean races. Even then it would still take 100hrs PLAYTIME minimum. I'd say it would be more like 200hrs for a normal person.

Really? That is insane, what were they thinking.. :L I will add in that for reference for now, thanks.

Great guide thanks!

I would also like to say that the time for online would be 100+ hours trying to get rank 250 is a long haul unless you win most races. The difficulty of 3/10 for trying to win 100 online races for a casual gamer would be insane, unless you can boost but good luck with that, do you need a full lobby?

Yeah, I will just split difficulty and time for completion between SP & MP then because I haven't played much of the online yet, but maybe the wins can be boosted in a custom cup.

Surely the level 250 requirements is overkill, and they might lower it in the future to 1 million or something. Doubtful but still..

I meant achievement guide not roadmap, I was watching the football as I typed sorry!

No worries, list really is too simple which is a little disappointing.

I got to level 12 in Open Wheel online. No achievement.

EDIT

Ok it unlocked in a proper online lobby. I went from 9-12 in RaceNet Challenges. It did not unlock then for some reason. I did another online rave and it popped at the end.

Interesting. I'm going to try and hit level 10 with one of my disciplines through a challenge and see if the same thing happens to me.

Yeah same thing happened to me. I went from 8 - 10 in street after doing a RaceNet challenge and got no achievement, did one street race in an online lobby that I managed to win and went from 10 - 11 still with no achievement pop, checked my achievements though and I had got it.

Surely the 5m XP figure varies depending on how you reach level 250?

I've found no Endurance lobbies, so it seems the quickest route to 250 -- level 50 in each discipline -- is a non starter. Surely hitting, say, 150 in touring and level 25 in all the other lobbies would equate to more overall XP than level 50x5?

@Taki It probably works the way you describe it. At least that's how one can interpret it from the achievement description.

If you want someone to boost to level 50 with in endurance, then feel free to message me. Boosting in private lobbies seems to be by far the best method of leveling up, albeit very boring.

I'll add you, mate, but I don't think 1v1 boosting is very effective. The XP scales depending on the size of the lobby... and 1m xp @ 200 xp per race is a lot of races.

I was hoping to see if it was possible to get a group together to boost the less popular disciplines for a few hours weekly on the regular, but I'm not sure 8-12 people would be interested enough to make it worthwhile.

Did I read in the review that you can race online against AI? Does that give XP?

If you are looking to hit level 250 just add me -- and maybe other people looking for this achievement too -- I'll be boosting week night evenings (UK) regularly using the AI method until I'm done. As Stiminal says you need 2 to get started, so the more people looking for this on my friends list the more chance I have of getting something going. Later mate.

Just a little tip for when going for the I've got what Rick Scott's got-75:gsicon:achievement. You can quit out of any races which are "cups" as they dont affect you driver standings. You can also quit out of normal races if you are enough points ahead of second. Speeds the whole thing up a tad.

I got this achievement today. I can confirm that it takes around 150 hours. I got the last 2 million xp using the 50% booster.

You need a very minimum of 5 million xp to get an overall level of 250 across all classes.

I was running two xboxes with two copies of the game, and I was getting, with the boost pack, an average of 3,600xp per race.

Good luck guys.
