As promised, they are here, and you're all reading about them first!

There's been a lot of speculation, a lot of questions, and it's time for some answers. To start off, this has already been touched on, but this will be a full move to the Max Clubs, meaning the full membership can go after these clubs, but the Subscribers have the privilege of creating them.

Awards

Something we all love! As many of you will have figured out from our tease earlier, the awards will be a tier based system with each award replacing the previous, and each completed club counting as 1 towards the awards. Here they are in all their royal glory:

Baron

2-5 completed Subscriber Clubs

Viscount

6-10 completed Subscriber Clubs

Earl

11-15 completed Subscriber Clubs

Marquess

16-20 completed Subscriber Clubs

Duke

21-25 completed Subscriber Clubs

Grand Duke

26 or more completed Subscriber Clubs

Eligibility

The requirements to sign-up for an already created club will fall in line with the rest of the Max Clubs; user for 1 month, active, 100 posts, rules exempted for subscribers, must have already signed-up for any games that are contained within the subscriber club, etc. Nothing to surprise anyone with here.

To keep things fair for our long term subscribers and ensure that someone doesn't subscribe for a single month just to create a club, there will be some basic requirements for creating your very own subscriber club. For starters, the staff here has shared many of the privileges that the subscribers have, but we wanted to make this truly a privilege for the subscribers. Having access to the subscriber board will not grant any of the staff rights to a subscriber club. They may have both a subscriber club and a staff club, but ONLY if they pay their monthly subscriber dues like everyone else here. The other requirement, and the only one applying to non-staff, is that you have a subscriber tenure of 3 months. If your subscriber award is dated back 3 months at the time you sign-up to create a club, you're good to go!

Club Creation

So you're pumped up, really excited, you want your club!? Well here's how to get it! As soon as you become a Subscriber you are eligible to create your own Subscriber Club, so check out THIS link. There you'll be able to sign-up to have your very own club. All of the nitty gritty for what can be in your club is found in that thread, but here's a broad overview.

Aside from the awards, the subscriber clubs will mirror the staff clubs. We're looking for 3-5 games that are on either Xbox 360 or Xbox One, a club title, a creative blurb, and some sort of theme tieing the games together is certainly encouraged. Any games that are on other platforms, can no longer be completed, we expect to become uncompletable (EA sports titles, etc.), or are region locked will be off the table.

In Conclusion...

That's pretty well everything there is to expect. Everything in the old subscriber club board will be retired and locked for a little while so everyone can reference their old clubs when creating their new ones if they want, or even copy it right over if the club is eligible. After some time has passed the old forum will be deleted. It'll be a little while yet before you see a sub-forum and club sign-up appear in the Max-Clubs, we just need some clubs from the fine folks here to populate it with first. We'll be getting all that ready behind the scenes in the mean time.

Feel free to discuss all of the news below, and if anyone has any questions throw them at us here.

Going forward, if a person is getting an award rearrangement it'd be ideal if they asked to have the original issue date put as the Issue Reason for their Subscriber Award. Obviously this won't happen every time though, and I know there's at least one person that's currently affected by this. I have to go to work any minute now, but I have a couple ideas and I'll try to get something sorted tonight :)

My award date is almost 2 weeks after my sign up but that just gives me more time to complete some potential club games.

However, I'm sure a solution can be found for guys like Scotty and a few that occasionally have hiccups in their subscriber status due to payment issues.

I assume the sub forum here with our old clubs is going to get deleted? No one is going to maintain those now that we have these new clubs with awards.

All the threads in there will get locked, probably on my lunch break. :p

They'll stay up and visible for a bit so that anyone wanting to refer to their old clubs when making a new one can, but yes, they will get trashed sooner or later.

Quick question regarding the tenure rule. What about people who have been subbing on and off such as myself. I have close to if not more than 2 years of total subscribing, but just re-subscribed again after letting it lapse for a month or two. Am I eligible? or do I have to wait out 3 months from my award date (which is a week ago)?

The only other way to see when you sent your first payment would be for Creech to ask Webb or Rx to check their records, as far as i know and this process in and of itself has the potential to take 2 weeks or more. Think that you would have to submit this request with your club sign up, then someone on the Max Clubs team would have to request this info from Creech, then wait for Creech to request it, then Creech would have to wait for Webb or Rx to get back to him, then relay that info back down the line. This too would take workload off the Max Clubs and add it to someone who probably doesn't have the time to spare for such things, although to be honest, cases like these would likely be few and far between, it just has the potential to take as long as you originally waited for the award. I wouldn't worry too much about the 2 weeks, they'll come and go, fast as ya' like! :)

Another potential solution could be to screen-shot your paypal account on the page(s) that has(have) your payments to your subscription, which would show the dates of the payments, if there are 3 months worth, there'll be 3 payments for 3 months in a row. Then you could send the screen-shot via PM to someone on the Max Clubs team for them to verify and get you signed up. A tad bit long winded, but it should only take a few minutes to do and has proof of tenure.

It will have to be 3 consecutive months, i'm afraid. Sorry mate.

Oh, I don't care about my case. I welcome those extra weeks to finish what I want to finish.

My question is will we new subscribers be able to complete clubs after this is all ironed out? Due to not having access to the games I want to put in mine and the issue that they'll take awhile to complete means I won't be able to have mine up until late in the summer. Of course I'll have subscribed for 3 months by then, but I didn't know if we'd lose the ability to create them.

Everyone is in such a hurry to make theirs and I didn't want to be left out :)

Of course you can complete clubs. Non subscribers can complete these clubs too, you just need to subscribe to create one. They won't be going away, so take your time and get it spot on for when you're ready to create it. :)

EDIT: Didn't see this, sorry.

Does the club that we create count towards the award? That seems fair, since it works like that for staff clubs.

Awesome news! I'm definitely going to make my club today!

Yes, your own club counts towards your total. :)

Well, so much for me making a sub club.

You don't have any completions in games without DLC achievements?

Telltale games? Far Cry 4 doesn't have DLC achievements so far. Finish that. There were tons of 360 games without DLC achievements.

I'm sure you can find 3-5 games. :)

Yeah, come on Floyd, sort it out! I'm sure you'll think of something, you don't need to do one right away, go get some completions then come back and make one. :)

I assume that the club threads and signups will now be mostly or entirely the responsibility of staff now.

However, are we going to be free to post in our club threads? Are other forum members going to be free to post? I'd like to be able to welcome new members and share information about the games to maybe help people meet the qualifications.

I understand if those options aren't made available. The logistics could ge a huge issue and work load for staff.

But I think it might be a good idea to give us these options. Interaction between members is what drives the forums. Its what keeps it healthy and growing. I think these clubs could be used to promote interaction between subscribers and regular members. This interaction could help promote the site and the subscriber program.

Wait.. So, that means no EA Sports UFC?

Nah, surely you've got some completions without DLC, Floyd? Picking up a few DLCs on sale is a simply option too. We want to see Club Floyd!! :)

I'm of the staunch opinion that a sub club should reflect the sub's personality, much like the staff clubs, and reflect their interests and passions. I refused to waste money on the trials DLC for Dishonored, yet I did three full playthroughs for the original completion; I cannot include it because $4.99 for time trials is garbage. I won't argue the site over this because this is just how XBA works, and I respect it, but like I said, it's just a shame.

This makes me sad. I won't be able to make my Farty Spanking Club :( RIP

I also find that very unfair to KillerBEA who has had close to 2 years of sub just on an off, especially as I was planning on subbing on and off too, for money reasons, being a student living alone and such. I could only afford the extra 10 a month from time to time

@Kal/Scotty/Dog/Barad/Cil/Bplayak: There's no "due date" for when we have to submit our club ideas, blurbs, whatnot, right?

I only ask because I won't be completing one of my club games for a while.

I do not personally like this idea. Lock them down like Staff Club threads and Franchise/Challenge threads once they have been created.

Nope, no due date. This will be for all subscribers current and future, you'll be free to make it whenever you want, provided you meet the requirements at the time. :)

Now, it's just a matter of does one use their current completions or wait for upcoming games they'd like to use. I mean, Bigg will wait for the next Batman game, riiiiight? :)

You can replace games if you wish, but you can only replace 1 every 6 months. You could make your club with just 3 games, leaving space for future titles, or you could, slowly, keep replacing games if something comes out in future that you want in.

This is exciting stuff. I just need to come up with a good name for a club and I'll be good to go. :D

"Target's My Car Is 90% Rust Club"

"Target's I Can See The Road Beneath My Feet When I Drive Club"

"Target's Something Fell Off It Again Club"

Just a few suggestions for you :p

That's low Corrupt. That's low. Besides, my 48 year old floor pans ARE RUST FREE. I live in Southern California! It doesn't get wet here!

Checkmate.
