I'm kinda curious about this since TA shows someone unlocking the first few achievements yesterday. I thought maybe it was a new account that just got scanned but the account's been there for a long time. Is there really no way to get GFWL achievements when that guy seems to have unlocked some? D:

You can get achievements on the PC version, but you have to do a couple of things first.

First thing is getting a physical copy with the GFWL tag on it. You need a disc that has the program already on it or it won't work.

Second is making sure you have access to a game whose GFWL servers are still up (like Fallout 3's), so any achievements you do unlock in Dark Souls can be uploaded to LIVE. That means at least owning the game.

Third, once you install Dark Souls, make sure you set your profile as an automatic sign in, and decline the GFWL update that it asks you to do - it'll break your game and require another install.

Once all that's done, you should be able to get them all offline and get them on your profile. If anyone on TA gets them with a timestamp, they're most likely hacking, as it's impossible to play GFWL Dark Souls online now.

You should know all the facts before you call people out for cheating.. because people who purchased and installed a Steam Copy of this Game before the GFWL to Steamworks transition and never downloaded the update are still able to Sign in to GFWL and Unlock all the Achievements Online with their unupdated Steam Copy of Dark Souls.
