The Pants Party
Overview: Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10 Estimated time for 1000: 25-30 Hours Offline or Online, Co-Op Only: 8 [75] Offline or Online, Solo or Co-Op: 50 [925] Minimum playthroughs: 2 Missable achievements: No Glitched achievements: No Cheats disable achievements: Yes, except character unlock codes. Difficulty affect achievements: Yes Unobtainable achievements: No Description: The Marvel Universe is being torn apart. The Superhuman Registration Act becomes law and Super Heroes must register as weapons of mass destruction, becoming licensed government agents. As Civil War is stirred, Iron Man leads the Pro-Registration side while Captain America spearheads the stand on Anti-Registration. The enemies you battle and the missions you accomplish depend on which side you choose. • Create and customize your ultimate team. Assemble your dream team from the Marvel Universe and select from over 24 playable characters, each with specialized powers. • Cooperate with your ultimate alliance. Take full advantage of the Marvel Universe by playing Cooperative Mode with up to four friends, both online and offline. Step 1: Super-Heroic Difficulty I would suggest starting here over Heroic simply because the achievements "Undefeated Heroes" and "Immortal Heroics" require this to receive credit, not to mention the game is easy as pie anyway. It doesn't really matter which side you take in the war. Do your best not to die at all during this playthrough, though if you do it is not a big deal since you have the mission replay terminals at your disposal. Use the collectibles guide to grab everything as you play, and also do the five things required for "Seek and Destroy." You can also work on the different types of fusions, combat mastery achievements, and heroic deeds as you like. None of these are critical to focus on too hard since you can use the mission replays and combat simulators to quickly knock out anything you don't get while progressing through the story. However, you will want to unlock any costumes that require this specific side in the war before moving on to your next playthrough. Some of them require that you've gone Pro- or Anti-Registration. Step 2: Sim Missions and Boosts You can use the mission replay terminal to now mop up anything you've missed (collectibles or other actions). Grab a friend or use a second controller and go through all the Trivia questions to get total bonuses in the levels you've unlocked unless you did that along the way. Go through all the combat simulations to get Gold ratings and do the "DLC" specific achievements, repeat HQ levels to get 24 co-op maps, finish off any levels and/or bosses you've missed completing without using a revive, and knock out any heroic deeds you still need for your final team boosts. You can also do all the fusion combinations now, or wait until you play the game a second time. Depends on when you want to do the grinding. I think doing it now is a bit nicer as when you finish the next playthrough you're just done and can move on to a new game rather than needing more grinding. Step 3: Legendary Difficulty Once you finish Super-Heroic, you will unlock this difficulty. All your stats will carry over with you, so start a new game by using the "next mission" console in the Wakanda HQ and be sure to choose the opposite side in the war as you did last time at the end of Act 1. Again, use the collectibles guide to grab anything you may have missed before, plus you will have all-new levels during Act 2 to focus on with unique collectibles, new trivia questions, and new character costumes to unlock. Now once you finish playing the game again, you should have all story progression achievements and all collectibles from the missions, as well as all achievements if you did all the grinding in Step 2. The Pants Party
Mission Accomplished 5 Topple a dictator. During the prologue you will come to a Doctor Doom statue in a courtyard. Keep attacking this until is breaks. There is a collectible hidden inside, so if you're following the collectible guide, you'll get this along the way. Coalition of the Willing 20 Crash a castle. Story related and can not be missed. Oceans No Longer Protect Us 20 Protect a city. Story related and can not be missed. A House Divided 20 Defend your leaders. Story related and can not be missed. If You're Not With Us 10 Choose a side. Choose to side with either the Pro- or Anti-Registration forces at the end of Act 1. Doesn't matter which, and you need two playthroughs for all achievements anyway. Just remember which side you chose so you can do the opposite next time. Freedom Isn't Free 20 Raid a hideout. Story related and can not be missed. (Pro-Registration) Defending Our Way of Life 20 Rescue a hideout. Story related and can not be missed. (Anti-Registration) All Options on the Table 20 Defend a convoy. Story related and can not be missed. (Pro-Registration) Collateral Damage 20 Stop a convoy. Story related and can not be missed. (Anti-Registration) Fallen Star 20 Ambush your opponents. Story related and can not be missed. (Pro-Registration) Iron and Blood 20 Fight back an ambush. Story related and can not be missed. (Anti-Registration) Knowns and Unknowns 10 Repay a favor. Story related and can not be missed. Alliance Reborn 20 Break and enter. Story related and can not be missed. Grave and Growing 20 Free a country. Story related and can not be missed. A More Perfect Union 10 Finish what you started. Story related and can not be missed. I'm With Iron Man 30 Defeat all Act II and III missions as a Pro-Registration team. Make sure you choose to Register at the end of Act 1 (speak with Maria Hill), then complete the rest of the game. I'm With Captain America 30 Defeat all Act II and III missions as an Anti-Registration team. Make sure you choose to Rebel at the end of Act 1 (use the door behind you in Maria Hill's office), then complete the rest of the game. Legendary Schism 20 Defeat all Act I missions on Legendary Difficulty. See "Legendary Alliance" for more info. Legendary War 30 Defeat all Act II missions on Legendary Difficulty. See "Legendary Alliance" for more info. Legendary Alliance 30 Defeat all Act III missions on Legendary Difficulty. Legendary difficulty is unlocked once you have beaten the game on either Heroic or Super-Heroic. Start a new game and proceed to beat the game again. It doesn't matter which side you choose, but as this will be your second playthrough, choose the opposite side that you did the first time so you can get all the story progression achievements. Good characters to use: Thor, Nick Fury, Jean Grey, Deadpool, Juggernaut, Iron Fist, Thing, and Green Goblin. I personally used Thor, Nick Fury, Juggernaut, and Thing. Rookie Squad 10 Complete a map in Co-Op. See "Decorated Veterans" for more info. Experienced Allies 15 Complete 8 maps in Co-Op. See "Decorated Veterans" for more info. Decorated Veterans 30 Complete 24 maps in Co-Op. A "map" is considered one combat or HQ section of the game. There are more than 24 maps in the game, but a much easier way is to load up an HQ base in the mission simulator. Once it loads, just head the Exit console and then rinse/repeat. It does not have to be 24 unique maps to unlock the achievement. To see which maps you have completed in co-op, pause the game and go to Stats>Map and scroll through each one, but again you can use the same map multiple times which will not show in the Stats screen. The Pants Party
Seek and Destroy 15 Complete all optional mission objectives. There are five of these in the game. They will be pointed out to you early in each level, the first time one of them appears, and you'll get updates as you progress in the task. They are as follows: Latveria, Ascension: There are four wall-mounted turrets in the level that must be destroyed by a ranged attack. Use Iron Man's Pulse Barrage or Spider-Man's Web Barrage. Latveria, Reactors: There are eight cyborg prototypes in this level, floating in giant tubes filled with green liquid. Six are on floor two and two on floor three. Break the tubes and destroy the prototypes. NYC, Factory Floors: Destroy 14 pieces of Latverian tech (machinery). 12 are found in one room shortly after the Grim Reaper battle. The last two are in the room directly after that, next to an audio log. Washington D.C., Capitol Offense: There are four munitions piles to destroy for this, in the area with the rocket launcher enemies. Make sure to destory them all before killing all the rocket soldiers and triggering Deadpool's arrival! Wakanda, Tribal City: There are eight total teleportation pods to destroy for this objective. There three close together in the first section and the rest are scattered throughout the level. They drop in from the sky, so they are obvious to spot. Uncontained Aggression 15 You or other players on your team must destroy 250 health containers. "Health containers" are really just any type of crate lying around that can pop out health when destroyed. If you smash anything you see, you'll have this extremely early in the game. Undefeated Heroes 30 Defeat 12 mission bosses on Super Heroic or Legendary Difficulty without revival or map reload. For this you need to defeat 12 unique bosses without reviving or having all your characters die, you can't simply replay the same boss over and over. There are 13 total bosses in the game, so if you fail in this against Tinkerer for instance but defeat all the other bosses, it will still unlock. If one of your partners dies during a section with one of the below bosses, do not revive them and if you all die, don't even bother retrying from a checkpoint, just back out and restart the whole section. Tinkerer aka Tank Bot (Prologue, Latveria Reactors) von Bardas (Act 1, NYC, All Hands on Deck) Titanium Man (Act 1, D.C., Hallowed Ground) Cable OR Bishop (Act 2, White Star Base) Goliath OR Yellowjacket (Act 2, Convoy Strike) Green Goblin AND Venom (Act 3, Off the Leash) Whirlwind, Diamondback, AND Moonstone (Act 3, Prison) Green Goblin AND Venom (Act 3, Wakanda) Nanite Nick Fury (Act 3, Showdown) To see which bosses you have done this with, pause the game and go to Stats>Map and scroll through to all the maps with bosses. If it says "1 of 1" then you're good. I had an issue where the second instance of Green Goblin/Venom in Wakanda wouldn't register, but it was because I had never defeated the first instance on them without reviving earlier in the game. I went back in the simulator and did that, then both showed up as "1 of 1" for me. I got my final one from the Simulator console, so the achievement CAN be unlocked this way. Note: If you have all the bosses done with no revival and do not get the achievement, finish the game and begin a new one. It should unlock when you defeat the Tinkerer in the prologue for the second time (but make sure you don't use a revive). Immortal Heroics 50 Defeat 25 maps on Super Heroic or Legendary Difficulty without revival or map reload. Similar to the "Undefeated Heroes" achievement, you can not revive any teammates or see the "Retry" screen when attempting this, but instead of just the boss fight, it is the entire level. If someone dies and you think you can complete the level without them, continue on. Otherwise, I'd restart the level. To see which maps you have done this with, pause the game and go to Stats>Map. There are more than 25 maps in the game, so you can fail a few during the story and still get it in one playthrough without redoing any levels. If you fail on too many, you'll need to clean up the rest in the mission simulator. Back in Action 10 Perform 10 revivals. When you successfully perform a fusion attack, you earn one Health Charge. You can also often find them lying around a level as well. If a teammate gets KO'd, you can use the token to revive them. Do this ten times over the course of all playthroughs and simulator missions. Remember that doing this will void one level credit toward "Immortal Heroics" though. Tactical Training 10 Perform all 5 recommended training Fusions in Latveria. Watch the bottom of the screen when playing the Prologue missions, it will ask you to perform all five of these at certain times. Do the correct fusion shortly after the prompt, all five times. This will track over multiple plays of the level, so you can use mission replay to get any you missed. Any combination Any combination Spider-Man & Wolverine Iron Man & Wolverine Captain America & Wolverine Heroes Unite 10 Perform 10 Fusions with another player-controlled hero in a Co-Op game. This can be done local or over Live and you only need one other person (or controller) to assist you. To perform a fusion in co-op, both players must hit the fusion button (left trigger) at the same time while the fusion charge is full. United We Stand 30 Earn 20 high scores for each type of Fusion: Targeted, Guided, and Clearing. When you go to activate a fusion, check what type will be done before choosing a partner. A target will appear at the bottom of the screen once you select your type. A "high score" on each type of fusion is as follows: Targeted: connect on a boss/mini-boss Guided: hit 15 enemies Clearing: hit 12 enemies Obviously you only want to do Targeted ones during boss battles or against the bigger mech enemies and the other two should wait until there are large groups of enemies. The bottom two can be done very quickly in the combat simulations. Powers of Two 50 Perform all Fusions by combining every available pairing of 24 heroes. There are a total of 276 fusions in the game. The best way to get through this quickly is to unlock every character first and use Sim Mission 1 to quickly knock them all out. At the end of the mission, you can choose when to use the exit console and you have unlimited fusions as well as swap characters, so you can do them all right in a row. I found using this list helpful. Start with Captain America and do a fusion with every character running down the left side. Then switch your main character to Daredevil and continue down the list. You won't use Cap again obviously as you paired him with Daredevil when he was your main. Then do Deadpool the same way, skipping Daredevil and Cap who are above him. And so on down the list until the achievement unlocks. Each character will go more quickly as there are fewer people they need to pair with. Note: This does not count the "DLC" characters: Black Panther, Cable, Carnage, Juggernaut, Magneto, and Psylocke. Skip them when combining fusions. Old Friends 10 Have 10 special conversations between characters with a history while in an HQ map. There are plenty of special conversations to get this before the end of a single playthrough. There are 65 total if you play both sides of the campaign. All of the conversation combinations can be found in this thread. If you can't trigger a conversation because you've already talked to the person once with someone else, save and quit the game then reload and you should be fine. The Pants Party
Costume Collector 10 Unlock 23 alternate costumes. Every character (except Nick Fury) has one alternate costume. All of the costumes can be unlocked by defeating 50 enemies after choosing a side in the war at the end of Act 1. Some characters who don't actually participate in the Civil War can be done at any time, while others have to be on a certain side of the war. The Registration requirements can be found in this thread. Make sure on your first playthrough of the game you unlock every costume for characters that require that alignment in the war before starting a new game. Distinguished Service 10 Collect 50 Team Boosts. See "Above and Beyond" for more info. Extraordinary Heroism 30 Collect 125 Team Boosts. See "Above and Beyond" for more info. Above and Beyond 50 Collect 200 Team Boosts. Team Boosts can either be found hidden around missions or earned through Simulator Missions, Heroic Deeds, and Conversation Choices. A complete list of team boosts can be found in this thread. Team boosts collected in missions are in the collectible guide. There are 216 total boosts in the game so you can miss a few and still get the achievement. You will in fact miss a bunch (13 or 14, depending on which side you choose) if you don't play the game twice on Legendary since most bosses drop an additional boost on Legendary difficulty which makes up most of the extra. If you're having a tough time knocking out the Heroic Deeds for some characters, start another playthrough and choose the opposite side as you chose on your first Legendary playthrough to quickly earn new boosts for defeating those bosses on Legendary. Note: DLC boosts DO count toward this achievement, so you have an extra 22 available if needed. Listening In 20 Collect 30 Audio Logs. There are 38 total Audio Logs in the game. You may get this in one playthrough, but if you miss a bunch in the first act you will need to wait until your second playthrough to finish this achievement since some are only located during the individual sections of Act 2. All the locations can be found in the collectible guide. Superior Intel 20 Collect 125 Dossiers. There are a total of 171 Dossiers in the game. Many of them are unlocked automatically by defeating bosses, unlocking costumes, and doing heroic deeds. All the locations for the ones picked up in levels can be found in the collectible guide. Potential Evidence 10 Collect 10 Concept Art Bundles in HQ maps. There are only 10 of these in the game found in HQ bases during a single playthrough so be sure to be diligent finding all of them. There are an extra three in the opposite side of the war during Act 2 if you want to collect those as well. This will carry over to a new playthrough if you miss any, or just use the mission replays. All the locations can be found in the collectible guide. Trivia Buff 10 Correctly answer 15 Trivia questions. See "Trivia Genius" for more info. Trivia Team-Up 15 Score 30 Trivia Fusions. A Trivia Fusion occurs when two or more people in co-op answer a trivia question correctly at the same time. See "Trivia Genius" for a link to all the answers. Trivia Genius 30 Earn all Trivia rewards. The Trivia Rewards are the three little icons on the bottom of the screen for each question. To earn all available rewards from a question, it has to be answered correctly, quickly AND with a fusion in co-op. So, to get this achievement you will need to get a friend and quickly answer questions until the icons for every question in the game are lit up. Keep cycling through all the questions in a console until all three icons in the bottom right corner and lit up before moving on. A guide with all of the trivia answers can be found here. You will get this on your second playthrough since the final 35 questions are exclusive to an Act 2 base for whichever side you chose in the war. Sim Team-Up 5 Earn Mission Succeeded on a Simulator Mission in Co-Op and return to the Simulator menu. See "Sim Champion" for more info. Sim Amateur 10 Earn 4 Bronze Medals from Simulator Missions. See "Sim Champion" for more info. Sim Expert 15 Earn 8 Silver Medals from Simulator Missions. See "Sim Champion" for more info. Sim Champion 30 Earn 12 Gold Medals from Simulator Missions. The first achievement in this set is required to be done in co-op, but you'll probably want to do all these in co-op to get the Gold medals easier, though you do not have to. Once you have all 12 Simulator Discs from the campaign, give these a go. The locations of the discs can be found in the collectibles guide. For all of the mission requirements and strategies to get Gold, see this thread. Note: Since the DLC in this version is part of the main game and not an actual download like on Xbox 360, those missions do count toward this total. You'll probably get four gold going for the "DLC" achievements tied to those sim missions, so you only need to do 8 of the 12 others. The Pants Party
Melee Training 10 Complete all melee training goals listed on the Stats page. There are 8 total goals for this achievement. These can be done at any time during the campaign or during simulator missions. They are as follows: 10 Shields Removed: Use on anyone carrying a shield to pry it out of their hands. 20 Foes Thrown: Hit twice near an enemy, then angle the movement thumbstick in any direction. 10 Stun Combos: Use an :bbut: combo. 10 Pop-Up Combos: Use an :abut: combo. 10 Trip Combos: Use an combo. 20 Prone Strikes: When an enemy is on the ground, move over them and hit . 20 Grapple Strikes: Grapple with , then hit . 20 Air Smashes: Jump with , then hold . Power Training 15 Complete all Power training goals listed on the Stats page. There are 7 total goals for this achievement. They can be done at any time during the story or during simulator missions. They are as follows: 30 Dash Power Hits: Any power that causes the character to lunge at an enemy. (ex. Wolverine's Lunging Rage) 30 Projectile Power Hits: Any ranged attack. (ex. Spider-Man's Web Barrage) 30 Radial Power Hits: Any area of effect attack. (ex. Iron Man's Radial Pulse) 30 Direct Damage Power Hits: Any attack that starts in/on the enemy. (ex. Human Torch's Radial Blaze) 20 Pulling Power Hits: Any power that sucks an enemy closer. (ex. Spider-Man's Web Yank) 20 Buffs Used: Any stat boosting power. (ex. Captain America's Heroic Defense) 20 Debuffs Used: Any stat decreasing power. (ex. Hulk's Gamma Roar) Every Trick in the Book 30 Complete all combat mastery goals listed on the Stats page. There are 7 total goals for this achievement. They can be done at any time during the story or during simulator missions. They are as follows: 20 Car Explosion Hits: Blow up a car near a group of enemies (cumulative). 5-Chain Reaction: Find any group of barrels, cars or munitions and use a projectile character to shoot them. You can try the Grim Reaper fight in the Factory level for a good chance at this, or with the barrels along the wall in the Black Widow fight. You need to only shoot one barrel which will then cause four other to explode. 20 Robots Killed with Own Grenades: This is actually a bit misleading as you can kill ANY type of enemy with a robot grenade to count for this. So when you see the big mechs in Act 2 that spit out grenades, pick them up and throw them at the other enemies. Also can be done in the Heavy Metal sim. Knock Down 5 Enemies with 1 Object: Using a stronger character (Hulk or Thing for instance) grab a big object like a bus and throw it toward a larger group of enemies. 20 Melee-to-Power Chains: After using a basic attack with , quickly hit and pick any of the four face buttons to use a power move as a combo. 20 Enemies Hit with Fire, Cold AND Electric: The easiest way to do this is to equip team boosts that add each of those three elements to your melee attacks. Otherwise, Nick Fury has all three attack types, or you can use a team of Human Torch, Storm and Iceman. One enemy has to be hit with all three types before dying for it to count. 50 Enemies Thrown From High: The three best places for this are Convoy Strike, Guard Duty and Tribal City. Just throw someone off a high ledge or bridge. Walk It Off 35 Progress through "Insidious Alliance" without breaking any Health Containers. After each "wave" of boss enemies, a ring of boxes will spawn around a console which begins the next wave. Simply ignore these. This achievement will unlock as soon as you get to the last wave of the mission, so you do not actually have to complete it if you're too low on health by then. Low Deductible 20 Complete "Escort Duty" without destroying any turrets. See "Hotfoot" for more info. Perfect Balance 50 Defeat 75 foes in "Balance." I'm not positive, but this may require you to kill every single enemy in the level. I feel like I missed a few, but to be safe just don't let any get by. I personally did this with a friend using Thor and Jean Grey. Have Jean use her special which will freeze enemies in place, then Thor can use his special which should kill them in one hit. If you're playing solo, still use Jean and try to max out your focus and stamina, then you'll use the freeze followed by her shockwave attack to finish them off. Your allies will likely die, but bring bigger guys to do heavy damage and block enemies from passing as much as possible. [ame] [/ame] Old Foes 20 Defeat "Overload" with the X-Men. An X-Men team can consist of Wolverine, Iceman, Juggernaut, Cable, Psylocke, Magneto, Jean Grey, Storm and Gambit. It really doesn't matter who you use, just whoever you're comfortable with. Put a team of four together with those characters and make sure you have the Team Bonus of "X-Men" in the setup screen, then complete the mission. It's just a boss fight against Magneto, so it's quite easy. Blows Up Real Nice 40 Throw all the proximity mines in "Balance." This one is a lot easier solo, unlike the others. Whoever you use as your main character, as soon as the mission starts, kill off your partners by jumping off the edge or running into the blue force field behind you. Ms. Marvel is great for this as she can't be hurt by the force field and her power is a direct fire attack so it won't set off the mines or vortex machines. Invisible Woman is great as well since she can just walk by all the enemies. See the video below for a method using her. If you pick up a mine and it blows up in your hands, this DOES count toward the achievement. You don't actually have to "throw" the mine, just get it off the ground. [ame] [/ame] No One Left Behind 30 Complete "Insidious Alliance" with all four heroes alive. The trick to this one is maximizing the number of Revive Tokens you get. You receive one automatically for completing a "wave" of enemies, and you can earn one extra for each Targeted Fusion you successfully complete (get a Gold rating). So, anytime you get enough juice for a Fusion, be sure to use it, even if the enemy is weak. I personally used Thing, Wolverine, Green Goblin, and Juggernaut. The people you use is really up to you and who you are comfortable with, though Things power does ridiculous damage if you spam it up close. You CAN die during this mission, you just have to have all four people alive when you defeat Carnage. Try to still have one or two revives left when going into the fight with him, though he's fairly weak so it shouldn't be a huge deal if you made it that far. Blitz 20 Defeat 2 foes within 10 seconds in "Insidious Alliance." The first wave of enemies only has one active at a time, but you should be able to get this on any other one. Simply use your normal strategies to weaken two different enemies so they are down to like 10% health, then make sure you have full stamina and go all out. If possible, herd them together so you can pretty much kill them with the same attacks. A Targeted Fusion can hit multiple enemies, so that's a great way to do it as well. Hotfoot 35 Complete "Escort Duty" without disabling any floor hazards. I did both of the achievements for this mission at the same time. Essentially, you will have to ignore all the hazards including flamethrowers, gun turrets, and electrified floors. The robot can be damaged by them but considering I did both of these at the same time on Legendary, he can also take quite a bit of punishment without dying. You can also bring Iron Fist with you and spam his healing to top the robot off. You should be able to finish the mission with well over 75% health. Just make sure you use a strong team and kill the actual enemies quickly, and move the big machinery in the puzzle room so he doesn't stand on electrified floors for too long.
