Necrophage33
Overview: - Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10 [Achievement Difficulty Rating] - Offline: 10 [1000:1gs:] - Online: [] - Approximate amount of time to 1000:1gs:: 15-20 minutes [Estimated Time to 100%] - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: <1 (don't need to finish the game) - Missable achievements: None (all cumulative) - Does difficulty affect achievements: No, can play on easy - Unobtainable/glitched achievements: None - Extra equipment needed: None Introduction: Haunted Halloween is an old school, retro-style graphics side scrolling action game. Even that is more than you need to know about this game because you'll spend more time reading this than it takes to complete this game. All of the achievements are cumulative and can be earned very quickly and early in the game, making this one of the fastest and easiest completions of the year. Let's get started. Abbreviated Walkthrough: Play through the game until you get to a cave-like part with stalactites and stalagmites on the top and bottom, along with moving small green enemies. As you progress to this part, which is about 4-5 "levels" (screens) into the game, kill all the enemies you see. Don't be afraid to get hit, as there is an achievement for getting hit 25 times. You may also notice a green soda can along the way with an S on it. This is a serum soda and is an extra life. Make sure to grab it, as you need 10 cumulatively. Once you get to the cave-like part, this is where you can very quickly grind out all of the achievements. Crouch and punch to kill the little green enemies as you platform to the right. When you get to the end with the four moving platforms, jump up to grab the serum soda to get an extra life. After grabbing it, purposely land on the spikes to kill yourself. Repeat this until you've: Gotten hit 25 times Killed 50 enemies Collected 10 serum sodas After you've done all of these, kill yourself over and over until you run out of lives and have a game over, unlocking your final achievement. If you mess up and have game over at all along the way, all the achievements are cumulative so you can just play again and continue progressing towards each. Conclusion: The achievements in this game are insanely fast and easy to get. As I said in the intro, you'll probably spend more time reading this than playing the game, which is good because the platforming and controls are pretty bad. So be very glad you don't have to play more than a couple levels into the game, and congrats on an incredibly fast and easy completion. Simply get hit, either by an enemy or spikes, a cumulative total of 25 times across as many playthroughs as needed until this achievement unlocks. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152600-lo.jpg Warming Up 100:1gs: Kill 10 enemies Refer to the "Town Savior" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152601-lo.jpg Monster Masher 100:1gs: Kill 20 monsters Refer to the "Town Savior" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152602-lo.jpg Monster Slayer 100:1gs: Kill 30 enemies Refer to the "Town Savior" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152603-lo.jpg Town Savior 100:1gs: Kill 50 enemies This is cumulative across all playthroughs of the game. Initially you'll fight skeletons, which you can duck and punch to kill without getting hit. You'll then fight zombies, which you have to jump and punch their heads off to kill them. The smaller enemies need to be crouch punched and then thrown to kill. Finally, in the cave area, crouch and punch the small enemies there too. If at any point you have game over, you can start a new game and resume progress towards this. You'll easily kill this many enemies by the time you're done grinding 10 lives. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152604-lo.jpg Serum Soda Jerker 100:1gs: Earn 3 lives Refer to the "Life Collector" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152605-lo.jpg Six Pack 100:1gs: Earn 6 lives Refer to the "Life Collector" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152606-lo.jpg Cat-like 100:1gs: Earn 9 lives Refer to the "Life Collector" achievement solution for more information. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152607-lo.jpg Life Collector 100:1gs: Collect 10 lives This is cumulative and does NOT need to be a total number of lives possessed at a single time. Lives come in the form of green soda cans with an S on them, called serum sodas. There aren't too many of them, but thankfully there is a very fast and easy way to grind this out. Progress through the levels until you get to the cave-like area with little green enemies running back and forth. Progress to the right to the end of the area and you'll see a serum soda up top right at the exit. Ride the moving platform up and jump to get the serum soda. Land on the spikes and kill yourself to start the area over. Now repeat over and over until you collect the serum soda 10 times. If at any point you die too much and have game over, you can start over and reach this point again to continue grinding lives. Once you've collected a cumulative total of 10, the achievement will unlock. http://www.xboxachievements.com/images/achievements/5295/152608-lo.jpg Monster Chow 100:1gs: Get a gameover At any point, simply run out of lives to have a game over and unlock this achievement. eastx
Thanks for the guide. I didn't have to grind - I just naturally got everything by the third level. The third level boss is a pain, but at least you don't have to beat it to earn all of the Achievements.
Puppys
Thanks for the guide! I just farmed the mice right after the soda part for all of my lives, but I came up short four kills. I got everything done quickly though, about 20 minutes or so.
