Andrew x360a Posted May 4, 2019 Share Posted May 4, 2019 With the passing of another year, it's time to induct another ten achievements into the Enthusiastic or Fanatic collection. As a reminder, you can find the achievements from the last four years over HERE. A couple criteria to keep in mind as you make nominations: Achievements from any Xbox One game released in 2018 are fair game. I've posted a list below. The final list will have five achievements each for Enthusiastic and Fanatic, for ten total. Enthusiastic achievements are broadly defined as being quirky or entertaining or funny or meta or just a playful reference to pop culture. They don't have to be super easy by any stretch, but they shouldn't be incredibly challenging (unless of course, the joke is a good one). "Moo-rderer", "Purple Badger Don't Care", and "Charlie's Challenge" are great examples. Fanatic achievements, on the other hand, are just plain hard for one reason or another. These are achievements that demonstrate an insane time commitment and/or above average skill. Think "Executed", "LASO Master", and "Platinum God". Debate is encouraged! Keep it civil and remember that there are variations in skill from one player to the next. We're aiming for a good, entertaining, and challenging mix. That's about it. I feel like the former can be cheesed via chapter replay and the latter is more of a time grind than difficult. Best in the West is a more taxing achievement as it requires skill, time, luck, and coordination (a mix of the two mentioned above, really). I had no intention of nominating a 2019 DLC for a 2018 but it's good to know. I was also going to put that skinning animals one, but yeah, I guess since the 100% includes both of those You do not need "Gold Rush" to unlock "Best in the West". Oh okay, I thought that unlocked after completing everything in single player. And I think you have your choices swapped; I think your Enthusiastic is really Fanatic and vice versa. What is the cheese exactly? I disagree with this one. There is a weapon in-game that 1-shots all enemies and bosses. I looked into this one a bit. Seems like the real cheese is joining a friend's game right at the end to get the achievement. I think the alien gun is perfectly fine to play on Infamous difficulty for the achievement but given the invite friend method, I think it should probably be excluded. Bare Bum Cheeks Posted May 11, 2019 Share Posted May 11, 2019 Just something to consider... Super Bomberman R has two achievements, destroy 1,000,000 blocks and place 1,000,000 bombs. I think the bombs one takes longer. It is easily the grindiest achievement of the year. I think it's something like 300 hours and 3 people on TA have it unlocked. That could be something for the award. also, Sea of Thieves. 250 voyages complete in each guild, and/or 360 captain's chests returned.
