SCA KAZUMA
As stated in the forum title, I was curious as to whether the Install to Hard Drive feature on NXE would help shorten (or eliminate entirely) the load times on this game? That is the main reason I haven't gone back to playing this game, is the horrendous load times this game provides oh so generously... If anybody has tried this, could you please confirm or deny this possibility? I realize the game is somewhat old, but I'd love to go back through it to pick up a few missing achievements (a few being 14/23 missing...). Thanks in advance! SCA KAZUMA
Terribly sorry, but after going back through the forums, I found this posted in a different thread. I looked, and overlooked it, so anyone with the ability is more than welcome to lock this topic. Very sorry...
Atomic Diharrea
I'd like to know the answer, then ^.^ Anyway, I did it, and it SEEMS the loading times are shorter.... but they still are pretty existant, and still frustrating when it comes to town mission. Seriously, what were they thinking when making so much loadings for so little text from the characters? Eh, wanna save my dog? Yes. Loading. Go find my dog. Loading. Possible death? Loading. Oh too bad. Loading. Start it over again....
Ze11os
Worst loading ever is the one where you have to tell the guy how many boxes are stacked up.... 'My name is such and such I have this test no one can beat do you want to try?' LOAD 'Tell me how many boxes there are.' LOAD 'Ready?' LOAD -hits correct number- Good job try this! LOAD something like 5 rounds of that too -_-
Zoey
It takes way too much memory though...
Berto0391
It does indeed reduce the load times but not by much it's still barely playable because of it.
ChArG1nMaLAZ0R
tbh the load times arent that long. its the fact that it loads every second which is where the issue lies
Chuckb84
it is only bad when you are doing stuff in town
Arenazombie
I timed the loading times once with and without install and yes it reduces the loading times by about 25-30%
nukes
25-30%!!!!!!! Im throwing it on the hard drive asap! Thanks for taking the time to do the math!
CHIRUNO99
From what I've read, the tames aren't affected by much. But still, tbh the load times arent that long. its the fact that it loads every second which is where the issue lies
UnseatingKDawg
I thank you, Arenazombie. I don't think I installed this one, but I will now.
UnseatingKDawg
OK, I did install it a little while ago. I did take notice that the loading times have marginally improved. Luckily, I managed to S-Rank all the Town Missions, so I just have to focus on Main Acts/Bosses.
