Introduction:
Art Of Fighting was released on NEOGEO back in 1992 by SNK, and has been ported directly to the Xbox One by our new best friends over at the bizarrely named Hamster Corporation. As with most of the other games so far released in the ACA series, this is a pretty fast completion, requiring little skill to finish. You only need to play each game mode once, but depending on luck and how fast you get used to the controls, will probably take few more tries.
Step 1 - Original Mode
Start up in original mode. You can change the settings to make things easier for yourself by pressing and changing the difficulty to 1, and change the number of rounds to 5. You will have the choice of two characters to start with, so chose Ryo (the guy the cursor starts with). Using his hadoken style move ((,,,), hitting the AI 3 times. His health should be nearly gone, so just jump towards him and hit him a couple more times for a perfect. If you can win perfectly 3 times, you will have around 150k points. Play until you have all of the point achievements. Once you have them, let yourself get beat and unlock the two high score achievements. 5 achievements for 420.
Step 2 - Hi-Score Mode
In Hi-Score Mode, you have to test yourself against the computer at level 4 difficulty, and cannot change any settings. Choosing Ryo again, using his hadoken move, go for two perfects against the first guy. If you can manage this (may take a fair few tries), you should only have to land a few punches or kicks on the next guy to get to the 100k needed. Once you have the score related achievements, let yourself get beat and upload your score for the related achievement. 4 achievements for 340.
Step 3 - Caravan Mode
Rinse and repeat what you did in step 2, this time in Caravan mode. As well as not being able to change the difficulty, you have only 5 minutes to get the high scores. However, this should be plenty of time in this game. Once you have the score related achievements, you can simply quit out. 3 achievements for 240
Conclusion:
This game shouldn't give even the most amateur fighting game player much trouble, once you nail Ryo's hadoken style fireball attack. If you don't mind the price point for not much bang for your buck, and appreciate an easy 1000, then this game comes highly recommended!
