Welcome to Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, another head-to-head fighting game in the Fatal Fury series, with many characters you'll be familiar with from other games. As far as achievements go, it's your typical NEOGEO fare. There isn't strictly one move to spam your way through this game, but there is still a reliable method for getting all achievements pretty quickly and painlessly. Let's get started.
The general strategy for all three game modes is the same, and can theoretically be done with different characters, but I will explain with the character I used.
Pick Franco Bash (bottom middle) as your character, and pick Cheng (lower right corner) as the AI opponent. Cheng seems to be the most passive character, making it relatively easy to get perfect rounds against him. There are two main attack patterns you're going to use/rely on. The first is just a standing kick (), which has quite a bit of range and is particularly good against the first two opponents, in terms of doing damage and keeping them away from you. The second is a common attack pattern from many fighting games: jump kick (), making sure to actually kick on the way down so you connect, and then immediately crouch and kick. As soon as the crouched kick connects, whether the opponent blocked or not, immediately jump up and repeat. Once you get used to it, you can time it such that you're striking with your next jump kick as soon as the opponent gets up off the ground. Repeat this attack pattern over and over to defeat your opponents until you reach the scores in each mode. In Original and Hi Score modes, after you reach the required scores, let yourself get beaten and then choose to upload your score to unlock the remaining achievements.
That's the general strategy for all three game modes, but refer to the guide below for more specific tips for each mode beyond just the attacks mentioned above. Once you reach the required scores in all three modes, and upload your score in Original and Hi Score modes, you'll wrap up this completion.
Despite not having a single move to spam to get through this game, the strategy outlined is surprisingly reliable, making this a relatively quick and easy NEOGEO fighting game. Do your best not to get frustrated by some of the cheap enemy attacks, and within a few attempts you should be successful in each mode.
