Introduction:
Welcome to All Pro Football 2K8. This game is very similar to Madden games. If you are good at those games then you should do fine with this. The controls are basically the same as Madden controls.

Step 1: [Beginning]
As soon as you load up the game, you are forced to create a team and you will be rewarded with 5. After you make your team, click on “Manage Teams” and then alter any option and save which will snag you the 5 achievement for editing your team. In the same section (“Manage Teams”), there will be an option to create a player. Do this and it will snag you the other 5 achievement for creating a player.

Step 2: [Single Season Records]
Next is the slow process of simming through the single season. For the next 390, it must be done in season mode. Here are the settings and requirements to get the achievements:
  • Play at least one game through and win to get the achievement for playing a season game.
  • Make sure you get 29 touchdowns in the single season BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. Best player for this is OJ Simpson. NOTE: Touchdowns with quarterbacks do not count. Must be a WR or a RB. Must be with the same player.
  • Make sure you get 23 sacks BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. In case you do not know what a sack is, it is when a player on defensive tackles and brings down the quarterback before he gets rid of the ball. This can be done when you turn off sides off so that before the ball is snapped you will be on the wrong side and tackle the quarterback as soon as it is snapped. NOTE: Must be done with the same player.
  • Make sure you get 2,105+ yards with a SINGLE running back BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. Pretty self-explanatory. NOTE: A good running back for this is Barry Sanders.
  • Make sure you get 1,848+ yards with a SINGLE wide receiver BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. Pretty self-explanatory. NOTE: A good wide receiver for this is Jerry Rice.
  • Make sure you get 5,084+ passing yards with a SINGLE quarterback BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. Pretty self-explanatory. NOTE: A good quarterback for this is Joe Montana.
  • Make sure you get 16 Interceptions with a SINGLE player. This is a little more challenging. This should be simmed. After each game, check the stats. If a player got an interception, save and sim the next game. Make sure the same player gets interceptions. If he doesn’t get an interception, quit out an reload the save game. NOTE: A good cornerback that gets interceptions is Night Train.
  • Make sure you get 7 Forced Fumbles with a SINGLE player BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. This is very difficult to do in game. This is when you force a fumble upon a ball being kicked, passed, or knocked from the hands of a player. Easiest done if simmed. Do the same tactic as the Interceptions. NOTE: The simming takes a while even though you only need seven. I got this by kicking it off to the other team and blocking them until 4th down. When they go to punt it back I run a player in front of the kicker and block the ball and cause a forced fumble. This does not work every shot, but I think it is quicker than loading up the game and restarting if no forced fumble is obtained.
  • Do NOT lose any game. (After each game, played or simmed, make sure you save if you win. If you lose, quit the season and reload until you win the game.)
Step 3: [Single Game Records]
The next 110 is awarded for setting goals in a SINGLE GAME. Make sure you set the time to the highest to ensure that you achieve all of your goals for the achievements. Here are the goals:
  • 8 Touchdowns in a SINGLE game. Does not need to be with the same player.
  • 8 Sacks with a SINGLE player. Make sure to turn off penalties and go off-sides before the ball is snapped.
  • 296 Rushing Yards with a SINGLE player. Self-explanatory have a gold or silver running back.
  • 337 Receiving Yards with a SINGLE player. Self-explanatory have a gold or silver wide receiver.
  • 555 Passing Yards with a SINGLE player. Self-explanatory have a good quarterback.
  • 5 Interceptions with a SINGLE player. More difficult. If it helps turn on a second controller and keep throwing “Hail Mary” passes and you should get some interceptions eventually.
  • 4 Forced Fumbles with a SINGLE player. Very Difficult. Make sure to use the tactic I explained for the Season Record Forced Fumbles. Turn off penalties and block punts.
Step 4: [Cleanup/Miscellaneous Achievements]
If you have gotten the last 515 with no problems, then these last few achievements should be a breeze. They are all self-explanatory, but if I have any pointers I will note them.
  • Catch 10 Passes with a Bronze WR
  • Throw for 500 Yards with a Gold QB in a Single Game (Should get this when going for the Single Game Record)
  • Pass for 200 Yards & Rush for 50 Yards with a Silver QB in a single game
  • Throw 6 Touchdown Passes with a Bronze QB
  • Gain 150 Rec YDS each with a Bronze and a Gold WR (This means to get 150 receiving yards with 2 different wide receivers. One a Bronze and one a Gold.)
  • Gain 200 Rec YDS with a Bronze WR
  • Gain 250 Rushing Yards with a Bronze Running Back in a single game
  • Gain 200 Rushing+100 Receiving Yards with a Gold Running Back in a single game
  • Score 4 Rushing Touchdowns with a Silver Running Back in a single game
  • Get 5 sacks in a single game with a Bronze Defender
  • Record 15 Tackles with a Silver Player
  • Shut Out the A.I. on All-Pro Difficulty
  • Shut Out the A.I. on Legend Difficulty
  • Shut out the A.I. on Pro Difficulty (For these 3 difficulty specific achievements, set the time limit to 1 minute. This can also be done with 2 controllers as well, just make sure it is set to the correct difficulty.)
  • Return a Fumble for a Touchdown (Use the same method for the Forced Fumbles but make sure when you fumble the punt, pick it up and return it for a touchdown.)
  • Get a Safety (A safety is when you tackle a player in their own end zone. This can be done by moving the team back with sacks until you get him in the end zone.)
  • Get 2 INTs with a Gold defender in a single game. (Night Train was the only person I could get interceptions with by using the “Hail Mary” method.)
  • Return an INT for a Touchdown (As with the last achievement, Night Train is your best bet, just make sure that after you intercept it, you run it all the way back for a touchdown.)
  • Near the end of the 2nd qtr or later, score an 80 yard TD (Self-explanatory, but it must be a continuous drive consisting of 80 yards or more meaning you can start from your end zone and run it all the way up to the opposite end zone and score a touchdown.
Step 5: [Online Multiplayer]
In my opinion, these are the most time consuming achievements in the game. The online achievements come out to a total of 200. You must win a total of 50 games online, including getting a 3 and 5 game win streak. This can be done by finding a partner in the forums.

NOTE: in order to get these achievements quick, it is recommended that one player quit out 10 times, and then switch until the 50th win. On the 50th game, you cannot quit out. You need to play the whole game. After playing the whole game, all of the multiplayer achievements will unlock.

Now onto the Leagues. There are 3 achievements one for joining a league, one for playing a league, and one for wining a league. Use the forums to find 3 people because the leagues require 4 or more people. Refer to the guide on setting up leagues and agree to take turns winning the league. Once one person wins, the league must be restarted.

Conclusion:
Overall, this was a pretty ordinary 1000. Nothing too difficult or too time consuming. NOTE: The Season Record and the Single Game Record achievements may not be able to be obtained in one shot. Multiple playthroughs might be required.

There are 50 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Create a Team

As soon as you load up the game, you are forced to create a team. Finish this for the acheivement.

Note: Most of these achievements can be done with two controllers. For the season record achievements, simulate all but the last game with 15 minute quarters, then play the last game. You can also do the simulate/save or load trick to make sure you get the results you want.

  • Catch 10 Passes with a Bronze WR

Get a Gold QB and fill your offensive line with Gold, Silver and/or Bronze players. Keep throwing to your bronze WR until you have the achievement. I found Alvin Harper the easiest to use.

  • Create a Player

Under the options is one called create a player. You can quickly throw one together or make a legend like Bo Jackson who wasn't included!

  • Go into the options of 'Manage Your Team' and change any option like uniform color and the achievement will unlock.

  • Return a Fumble for a Touchdown

This one can be a little tricky. Best way to do this is to turn penalties off and when the computer goes to punt have your guy standing in front and block it, then pick it up and run. Also note that if you block a punt and pick it up in the end zone, it does not count as returning a fumble. You have to run it in. The game does not always register a blocked punt as a fumble, but keep at it until it does.

  • Set the single game record for forced fumbles

You have to force 4 fumbles with one player to get this achievement. This can be tough since there aren't many fumbles that occur in this game. Use the same method as before to block punts and most of the time it will give you credit for a forced fumble.

  • Set the single game record for INTs

This one can be a little frustrating. You need 5 interceptions with one player. Get a Gold CB (or 2 Gold CB if you'd like) and play a game against a friend or use a 2nd controller. Have them keep lobbing hail mary passes and you shouldn't have too much trouble picking off 5 of them. Just to make sure time is not an issue, as soon as you get the ball, punt it back.

  • Set the single game record for Passing Yards

You need 555 yards for this one. Get a gold QB (I like Joe Montana) and a gold WR (Jerry Rice works great). Go into 'DIFFICULTY' and turn all of your skills to '100' and the CPU to '0'. Some people reccommend using the 'Hail Mary' pass, but I suggest going into 'Pro Form' and using the 'Flea Flicker' pass. 90% of the time your  receiver or  receiver should be wide open.

  • Set the single game record for Receiving Yards

You need 337 yards with one player. Use the same method as the passing yards achievements.

  • Set the single game record for Rushing Yards

You need 296 yards. Simply turn down the CPU sliders and turn yours up. Also, select a Gold RB and get some good linemen. Just keep pounding it out and you should get this easily. You can also use a second controller and pull all their defense off to one side, then run to the other side.

  • Set the single game record for Defensive Sacks

You need 8 sacks for this one. Just turn penalties off and get the lineman you choose to use to stand right in front of the QB. As soon as he snaps the ball, sack him. Also, sacks count as tackles, so I suggest using a silver lineman for this and use the method 7 more times and you will also unlock the 'Bring Em Down' achievement, or you can use a Bronze lineman and get the 'Sack Master' Achievement.

  • Set the single game record for Touchdowns

You need 8 touchdowns. If you're working towards the passing yard or receiving yard records, this should come right along with it.

  • Near end of the 2nd qtr or later, score an 80 yard TD

With 2 minutes or less left in the half, just start a drive from the 20 and end it with a touchdown. I used the 'Flea Flicker' play and scored immediately. If it is close to halftiime and the computer is punting or kicking off, run back behind the 20 yard line so you can be sure to get the achievement.

Note: This does not have to be in one play, you can take multiple plays to score.

  • Return an INT for a Touchdown

This is easier than the fumble return for a TD. If you have all of your sliders adjusted, eventually you'll pick one off close enough to the goalline to run it back in. Try for this when working on your game INT record achievement.

  • Win 10 Online Games

Please see "5 Online Wins in a Row" for more information.

  • Win 20 Online Games

Please see "5 Online Wins in a Row" for more information.

  • Win 50 Online Games

Please see "5 Online Wins in a Row" for more information.

  • 3 Online Wins in a Row

Please see "5 Online Wins in a Row" for more information.

  • 5 Online Wins in a Row

There are two ways of doing this. You can get a friend and take turns quitting to give the achievements to each other. You can also get this by legitimately playing people. Unless you really want a challenge, just look for people with terrible records.

Note: You have to play the 50th win to get all these achievements. Once you finish that game, it will recognize you've had streaks of 3/5 and that you have won enough for the other achievements. The game just doesn't give the achievements until after finishing a full game.

  • Join an Online League

You don't get this for creating a league, you have to join one. Just go into the online menu and join a league.

  • Play an Online Game

This does not count if you play in the 'Beginners' lobby. Just go into the 'Pro' lobby and play a game. Once it's over, you get the achievement.

  • Play an Online League or Tournament Game

Remember that league you joined? Play a game in it and there you go. You don't have to win to get the achievement.

  • Win an Online League or Tournament

You can legitimately beat your competition or get a few friend to create tournaments and take turns winning.

You can also create a league and fill it using some fake Live accounts with 48-hour gold trials, then simply delegate wins to yourself until you are the winner. Once the league is over, it will process everything and about ten minutes later will update with a victory screen. Once you view this screen you get the achievement. (Thanks to The Pants Party for this trick.)

  • Throw for 500 Yards with a Gold QB in a Single Game

If you selected a Gold QB (which you should) for the passing yards achievements, you should get this one as well.

  • Pass for 200 Yards & Rush for 50 Yards with a Silver QB in a single game

The 200 passing yards is pretty easy and if you use the sliders, the 50 yards rushing won't be too difficult. I used Randall Cunningham, but you can also create a Silver QB and give him the Scrambling skill. You can also use two controllers and pull the defense to one side and run your QB to the other side.

  • Throw 6 Touchdown Passes with a Bronze QB

Just pick any Bronze QB and throw 6 touchdowns. Don't forget those sliders if you're having trouble. Using two controllers, pick "Field Goal Block" for the defense and a "Hail Mary" for the offense and this is quite easy.

  • Gain 150 Rec YDS each with a Bronze and a Gold WR

When you're working on the passing yards achievements you can get this one too. Just flip the 'Flea Flicker' play so your bronze WR is the  receiver. I used Jerry Rice and Alvin Harper.

  • Gain 200 Rec YDS with a Bronze WR

Since you've already got 150 yards with the Bronze WR in the previous achievement, throw another 50 yards and get another achievement.

  • Gain 250 Rushing Yards with a Bronze Running Back in a single game

Just keep it on the ground. I used Christian Okoye and got the necessary yard in one 10 minute quarter. If you are worried you might lose yards, take him out after you get the necessary yards, as yardage achievements won't unlock until after the game.

  • Gain 200 Rushing+100 Receiving Yards with a Gold Running Back in a single game

Barry Sanders is always a good choice for this one. This one that takes some focus on one player, so I suggest turning fatigue to '100' so he doesn't get tired. Put the quarter time up if you're having trouble, but just keep at it.

  • Score 4 Rushing Touchdowns with a Silver Running Back in a single game

Any Silver HB will do. If you're not good at the running game, pass until you get to the 1 yard line and have your Silver HB dive in for the touchdown.

  • Get 5 sacks in a single game with a Bronze Defender

Please see "Game Record For Defensive Sacks" for more information.

  • Get a Safety

Use the "Game Record For Defensive Sacks" method and just wait until they are backed up into their own end zone and bring him down for the achievement.

  • Set the Record for Forced Fumbles in a Single Season

You need 7 for the season. Use the method for "Game Record Forced Fumbles" to get them. You can simulate games as well but make sure youplay the last game of the season to unlock the achievement.

  • Break the single season record for INTs

The best player to use is the Night Train. He's a Gold CB. The easiest way is to simulate each game of the season, but check and see if he got at least one interception in the game. If he did move on, if not reload your season and redo the game. You need 16 for the achievement. Make sure you play the last game to get the achievement.

  • Finish the Season with 5084+ Passing Yards with a single player

Simulate all but the last game of the season with 15 minute quarters. I used Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Make sure you are at or around 5084 yards and play the last game of the season to get the achievement.

  • Finish the Season with 1848+ Receiving Yards with a single player

You should get this one and the previous one together. Once again, I used Jerry Rice with Joe Montana throwning to him. Play the last game of the season to get the achievement.

  • Finish the Season with 2105+ Rushing Yards with a single player

Use the same method as "Spread the Wealth" for this. I picked Barry Sanders and got a good run blocking line. Play the last game to get the achievement.

  • Set the Single Season Sack Record

You need 23 sacks. Just use the other sack achievement method and you can actually get this one in one game.

  • Set the Single Season TD Record

You need 29 touchdowns. I used OJ Simpson and simulated all but the last game. He had 26 and I got 3 more. Just pick up whatever you're lacking in the final season game. This can not be done with a QB, so I would highly suggest using a running back.

  • Become the Season Mode Champion

You don't have to play the season at all. Just simulate games and make sure your team is the champion.

  • Complete Season

You'll get this one along with the previous one together. Even if you don't win the championship, you'll get this one after the season ends.

  • Complete a game in Season Game

Play one season game and you'll get this one. You don't have to win either.

  • Complete Season Mode Undefeated and win the League Championship

This one can also be done by simulating. Sim a game and if you didn't win, reload that game and try again.

  • Shut Out the A.I. on All-Pro Difficulty

Please see "Shut'em Down" for more information.

  • Legend

    20

Shut Out the A.I. on Legend Difficulty

Please see "Shut'em Down" for more information.

  • Shut out the A.I. on Pro Difficulty

Set the quarter length to 1 minute and start a 2-player game. Make sure to win with your team. You don't actually have to play the CPU for this.

  • Record 15 Tackles with a Silver Player

Please see "Game Record For Defensive Sacks" for more information.

  • Simply win a game. It can be against the computer or a ranked match. Note that games played in the online lobby 'Beginner' do not count for this achievement either.

  • Get 2 INTs with a Gold defender in a single game.

Use the Night Train and refer to the method used in the "Game Record Defensive Interceptions" achievement.
