Introduction:
Welcome to Greece! Assassin's Creed Odyssey is set during the Peloponnesian war that took place between Athens and Sparta. You take on the role of a Misthios or Mercenary and can take part in the war from either side, though you are a Spartan by birth. During Assassin's Creed Odyssey you will embark on everything from killing bandits to large scale battles to hunting down and defeating the eight labours of Hercules and bringing down a secretive cult.

There is only one potentially missable achievement, "Aphrodite's Embrace" and you can only really miss it if you tried to do so. Please see its description in the guide below for further details.

Step 1: Playthrough #1
First thing's first, start the game. You can choose to play as either Alexios or his sister Kassandra, but it makes little difference; the game remains the same either way. There are plenty of questlines to follow and miscellaneous achievements to unlock so check their descriptions in the guide to unlock them as you see fit. Be mindful during the beginning of the game and try to recruit as many characters for your ship as you can. You will need four Legendary characters for the "The Argonauts" achievement.

There are several achievements tied to quests and quest progression, as well as a decent amount of miscellaneous achievements. There are also questlines that are not tied to the main story that you need to go and find yourself. Please see their descriptions below for locations and details. Luckily, none of these questlines are missable and some can be done, and others need to be done, after completing the main quest.

It's also worth mentioning that you need to unlock the third tier of a skill for "Godly Power" and you need to unlock two specific skills for "I have the Power." You will find skill points in abundance as you level up and you are given extra skill points for finding 'Ancient Stele's' that are found in ancient tombs around Greece. You can also buy a map from the store that has the locations of them all, if you so choose.

Step 2: Mop-up
You will likely obtain most, if not all of the miscellaneous achievements without too much thought during your playthrough. It's likely, however, that you will still need to unlock "Lord of the Seas" and "Hermes's Homie," which are obtained by fully upgrading your ship and unveiling all of the map. Both of these achievements will take you the majority of the game to chip away at as you play it.

Additionally, you will most likely have "The Cult Unmasked" and "Demigod" left over, too. You will need to find and kill all of the cultists and reach level 50 for these two achievements, respectively. In order to reach level 50, finish as many side quests and miscellaneous activities, complete all of the Odyssey quests and kill all of the cultists, reach the top mercenary position and become the champion of the arena, and find/beat all of the Legendary creatures. It's worth noting that the late-game quests offer the most XP, so don't bother grinding out your level until post-game, if needed.

Lost Tales of Greece: The Show Must Go On DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this DLC, head to the region of Elis and look for the side mission called 'Setting the Stage.' You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. This DLC adds a small questline where you eventually play the part of Leonidas in a stage play. It's of course not as simple as it sounds and you have to follow a series of quests to prepare for the play. They are all linear and can be done within an hour. "The Show Must Go On" is very quick and easy and is just more of the same kind of questline you will have done in the main game.

Lost Tales of Greece: Divine Intervention DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Divine Intervention is the latest of the Lost Tales of Greece updates for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and introduces a short questline. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. To access this questline travel to 'Kraneion Plains' in the region of Korinth to find the side quest 'Test of Judgement' and speak to the Mysterious Woman to begin it. There then follows three short quests that are all linear and easy to follow.

Lost Tales of Greece: The Image of Faith DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To start this DLC, travel to the region of Elis and look for the mission 'The Measure of a Man' and begin it to start this questline. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. This is much the same as the previous two Lost Tales of Greece DLCs and has a short, linear questline to follow consisting of six short quests.

Lost Tales of Greece: The Daughters of Lalaia DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough
To start this DLC, travel to the region of Phokis and look for the mission 'A Gathering Storm'. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. The same applies here as the previous entries for these DLC's, it is a short series of linear quests that should take no more than an hour. You are tasked with helping the women of Lalaia in defending themselves against an attack from the Sons of Xerxes. You basically go through a short series of quests to shore up their defenses and then help them defend the town.

Lost Tales of Greece: A Poet's Legacy DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this DLC, head to the region of Mount Helikon in Boeotia and speak to Alkibiades to begin the first quest 'Praxilla's Admirer'. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. This is yet another short questline where you simply perform a few short quests at the behest of Praxilla, an old Bard.

Lost Tales of Greece: A Brother's Seduction DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To start this DLC, head to the Isthmus of Poseidon region of Korinthia and pick up the quest 'Prodigal Son's Return'. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. This is the same situation as all of the previous Lost Tales of Greece episodes and is a short series of linear quests.

Lost Tales of Greece: A Friend Worth Dying For DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this DLC, head to Skyros Island and start the quest 'Odyssey into the Past'. You'll need to have begun episode five of the main game in order for this quest to become available. For this DLC you must help your trusty companion Barnabos to find his long lost wife. This is much the same as the previous Lost Tales of Greece episodes; a short linear questline taking no more than an hour to complete.

Lost Tales of Greece: The Heir of Memories DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To start this DLC, the quest 'The Heir of Memories' will be given to you automatically as you load into the game. You will then have to follow a short quest line that takes you back and forth between the ancient Greek world and the modern world.

To be able to start this questline, you will first need to complete the entire 'Fate of Atlantis' questline visible in your journal. The game will prompt you to complete the 'Between Two Worlds' questline, but in your journal the Atlantis quests are under the 'Fate of Atlantis' header. This questline entails discovering Atlantis, tracking down the four artifacts from the four mythological beasts, and then returning the artifacts to Atlantis. Once all of that is complete, you'll be able to start this quest, despite it being in your quest log immediately.

Lost Tales of Greece: One Really, Really Bad Day DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this short questline, head to the blue quest marker in the White Crystal Hills area of Lokris to begin with the quest 'Righting a Wrong'. This short questline is as the preceding Lost Tales of Greece episodes: a short series of linear quests that can be done in under an hour.

Lost Tales of Greece: Every Story Has an Ending DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this questline go to the Adrestia and speak to Herodotos and start the quest 'Letter from Home'. This DLC follows the same premise as the previous episodes: a short questline that can be done in around an hour.

Lost Tales of Greece: Old Flames Burn Brighter DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To begin this questline go to the Forest of Soron area of Arkadia and speak to Anais to start the quest 'Where We Left Off'. This DLC, as can be expected, is a short series of quests that will take no more than an hour to complete.

The Lightning Bringer DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Added in this title update is Steropes the Lightning Bringer and he is another Cyclops almost exactly like the one from the main game, so if you've done that you know what to expect. You will need to be around level 45+ for this DLC. Steropes is an easy fight and almost the same as the Cyclops fight in the main game.

The Bright One DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
When you load up your game after this title update has gone live you will be given the quest 'The Bright One' which will guide you exactly to the place you need to go to to fight Arges. You'll need to be at least level 45 to challenge him. This Cyclops is almost the same as the other two Cyclopes and is as easy a fight as them, especially on the easiest difficulty.

Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 1: Hunted DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
To start this DLC, head to the Triple Peninsula of Chalkidike in the Makedonia region and the quest 'The Horsemen Cometh' will activate to set you on the path to complete the DLC. You'll need to have completed episode seven of the main game in order for this quest to become available, and be at least level 28 to play it. This DLC has a somewhat short story-line akin toward a shorter version of the main game's Odyssey. You are to take down another branch of a cult, much the same as the main game. The achievements are straight forward and nothing can be missed so play at your leisure. You will unlock "The Start of a Legacy" through natural play but the other achievements all require you to go ever so slightly out of your way. Refer to their descriptions below for further details.

Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 2: Shadow Heritage DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The quest 'Stranger Tides' will trigger as you load into your game after downloading the DLC. You'll need to have completed episode seven of the main game in order for this quest to become available, and be at least level 28 to play it. This DLC is a short series of quests with some miscellaneous achievements and the obligatory 'kill all cultists' achievement. Just playing through will earn you "Growing Up". As you're playing when in fights or naval combat you will want to use the new ability 'Rapid Fire' to unlock "Rain of Arrows" and to set ships on fire to unlock "Fire on Water". These 2 achievements may not be done throughout the short main quest, but you can finish them on any enemies that you find if you need to quickly grind them out after completing it.

The other miscellaneous achievement "Parry to Carry" can only be attempted after defeating the main antagonist so will need to be done outside of the main quest. Then finally you need to find and kill the Ancients in the Order of the Storm to unlock "Stormculler". You will kill two of them during the main quest but then need to track down the remaining three on your own. Refer to the achievement description below for details.

Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 3: Bloodline DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
When you load the game up after installing this DLC, you will have a new quest added to your journal called 'The Simple Life'. Begin this to start the questline. You'll need to have completed episode seven of the main game in order for this quest to become available, and be at least level 28 to play it.

This DLC is yet another short questline following along with the story of the previous two episodes of the Legacy of the First Blade DLCs. There is one story related achievement, "Bittersweet Beginnings" and four miscellaneous achievements, however none are missable. Refer to their descriptions below for details.

The Fate of Atlantis, Episode 1: Fields of Elysium DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
You begin this DLC by travelling to the 'Gateway to the Lost City' in the 'Caldera of Fate' region of the 'Volcanic Islands'. Upon arrival the quest 'The Isu beckon' will be given to you to start the questline.

The Fields of Elysium will take you to the Greek underworld to fight the forces of Persephone and attempt to unlock the power of the staff of Hermes Trismegistus that you obtained originally from Pythagoras.

The achievements are largely straightforward, if a little tedious. Nothing is difficult but there is one missable achievement, "The Conqueror", so see its description for details. I would recommend just playing the main story and not worrying too much about the miscellaneous achievements initially or you will be doubling up on the time spent here, as you will travel to many of the required locations during the many quests throughout.

The Fate of Atlantis, Episode 2: Torment of Hades DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The second episode of 'The Fate of Atlantis' see's you continue from the cliff edge ending of episode 1, where you are forced into a fight for your life against the guardian of the underworld, who after defeating, will grant you access to the area.

The achievements are all straightforward, though they will require some effort. "Bad Dog!" and "A True Ruler" are both story related and cannot be missed. The remaining achievements can be worked on at your leisure and you will make progress on them while playing through the DLC; you shouldn't try to grind them out straight away.

The Fate of Atlantis, Episode 3: Judgment of Atlantis DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The third and final installment of The Fate of Atlantis see's you act as Poseidon's 'Dikastes'. You are tasked with restoring order to the world of Atlantis in Poseidon's name and as such see yourself at the beck and call of his sons and various other characters throughout, all expecting much from you.

The achievements are all mostly straightforward but require some exploring and a little combat. Nothing can be missed, however, so do as you wish at your own pace. The achievement "Isu Bloodline" should not be specifically attempted as you will unlock progress towards it while exploring and discovering the few miscellaneous achievements, then if you still need to unlock it after finishing everything else you can spend some time on it then, so as to not waste any time unneccessarily.

Overall Conclusion:
Assassin's Creed Odyssey offers a somewhat enjoyable achievement list that encourages full world exploration at your own leisure, partaking in the vast array of interesting and fun side missions and questlines.

There are 93 achievements with a total of 1850 points

  • Complete all underwater location objectives.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete every underwater location on the map. You will of course find these exclusively in the waters around Greece and to complete them you just need to loot whatever treasures are within them. Use Ikaros, your eagle to scout the locations when you get near them to find the treasures underwater, since it is usually murky and difficult to see, as well as teaming with sharks, so you don't want to spend too much time underwater looking for the treasure. The icon on the map looks like this:

Complete every such location and the achievement will unlock.

Note that some of these locations are in-land in small ponds/lakes and not always in the sea. There is one each at the southern tip of the three prongs of land that make up Lakonia that did not show a question mark for me until i got near them, so check for these too if you are struggling to find them all.

  • Engrave your first item.

To unlock this achievement you need to 'engrave' an item. Engraving in this games is a way of giving your equipment extra stats to make them more useful/powerful. This is separate from upgrading which just improves the base damage of weapons and protection of armour. You can unlock this achievement very early on, during the initial questline one of your objectives is to go to a town called 'Sami' to collect a debt. Across from the merchant you collect a debt from you will find a blacksmith. Speak to him then choose to engrave one of your items. Engraving your starting items is very cheap, at ten Drachmae and two Iron Metal, the rusty sword is what i chose to engrave. Drachmae is this games currency and Iron Metal is one of the upgrade materials. You will find plenty of both from looting corpses and containers.

Once you engrave any item, the achievement will unlock.

  • Recruit and assign a Legendary NPC for your ship.

Note the leaders of some regions can vary so you may not get the Legendary leader of Megaris that I got, though you will most certainly find some Legendary leaders as well as Polemarch's and Mercenaries that are Legendary. You will also find a few characters during quests that you can offer a position on your ship to. Some of these are also Legendary.

To unlock this achievement you need to recruit a Legendary NPC as a lieutenant for your ship. I unlocked this achievement in Megaris with the Athenian commander of the region who you are working against, 'Airopos the Heartless', who is a Legendary NPC. You will need to work to destabilise his hold on the region by burning Athenian resource crates & killing Athenian soldiers/leaders. Once his influence in the area is completely gone he will have no-one around him to keep him safe and you will still be tasked with dealing with him.

What you need to do is sneak up to him (he was luckily asleep when i found him) and then press to knock him out. Once he is knocked out, press again when prompted to recruit him. Once you have recruited him, press and go to the 'Ship' tab, then select a lieutenant slot and hire him into it. The achievement will unlock right away.

  • Shiny!

    15

Acquire and equip your first Legendary item.

To unlock this achievement you need to equip a Legendary item into any of the armour/weapon slots. You will find Legendary items as loot, often during important questlines or main story missions, as well as in random loot and guaranteed drops from cultists. As soon as you equip any Legendary item, the achievement will unlock.

You are guaranteed a Legendary sword at the end of Episode 2. You can use this to unlock the achievement. Be sure to keep hold of this sword until you have unlocked "I am Legend" too, on the off chance you don't find another Legendary weapon for a while.

  • Equip 1 Legendary melee weapon and 5 Legendary armor pieces.

To unlock this achievement you need to equip Legendary items in all of you armour slots as well as one of your weapon slots. As mentioned above you will find Legendary items as loot during main/important story missions and very occasionally as random loot. This may take you a while to find enough Legendary items to unlock, however, it will come eventually.

It is worth mentioning that you get one of each piece of the same Legendary armour set for defeating the first five cultists in a cluster of cultists of Kosmos and you get a Legendary weapon for defeating the sixth and final cultist in a cluster, so doing this will get you what you need to unlock this achievement. See the description for "One Head Down..." for details on killing a cluster of cultists.

  • Become Champion of the Arena.

    To unlock this achievement you need to become the champion of the arena. The arena is found on the island of Pephka that is found at the bottom right of the map. You will pick up a mission to enter the Arena after killing and looting one of the mercenaries that will attack you throughout the game. The level of the quest at the start is level 25, however the enemies go to level 50 so you can't complete all of the battles right away, although you can make your way there as soon as you have access to the open waters of Greece. The contenders are as follows;

    • Klaudios, The King of the Bandits, level 22
    • Belos, The Beast of Sparta, level 29
    • Evanthe, The Huntress, level 36
    • Titos, The Rock of Athens, level 43
    • Vasilis, The King of the Arena, level 50

Each fight consists of four waves of normal enemies followed by the 5th wave that has you fight the boss. You can either wait until you are level 50 and then go and kill them all for an easy time, or to break it up you can return each time you are appropriately levelled to deal with each contender in turn. Either way, beat them all and become champion of the arena and the achievement will unlock.

  • Reach Level 50.

To unlock this achievement you simply need to reach level 50. This is self explanatory, but you get xp from killing enemies, completing quests and finding locations, among various other activities. You are not likely to reach this level until near the very end of the game or even after completing the game so i wouldn't worry about going for this consciously and let it unlock naturally. You can buy a 50% xp boost from the store to speed this up, but it's not necessary. I did a lot of side missions and exploring as i was playing the game and got to level 46 without any grinding.

I had to grind the last 4 levels out but there are a few decent quests, such as the two 5-stage quests that have you deal with the Polemarchs of each respective faction. You can find Demosthenes in Athens who will give you the quest/s to kill 3 Spartan Polemarch's then loot a seal from them and return it to him. You get to repeat this 5 times for decent xp. You can then get the antithesis of this from Lysander in Sparta who tasks you with killing 3 Athenian Polemarchs and again you can repeat it 5 times for a lot of xp. You can also fight perpetually in the Arena once you have beaten the champion. 5 more level 50 opponents appear who you can fight for xp as well as any bounty hunters/mercenaries that may be after you.

  • Acquire a Tier 3 active Ability.

To unlock this achievement you need to unlock the third tier of any active ability. An active ability is one that you use or activate in combat as opposed to a passive ability that just provides a stat boost. You can unlock the first tier of any active ability whenever you like, provided you have made it far enough into a skill tree to unlock it, however the second tier requires that you reach level 16 before you are able to unlock them. The third tier requires that you have upgraded your spear to level 5 before you unlock them for purchase. See "Legacy Restored" for details on how to level up your spear.

After reaching level 16, upgrading your spear to level 5 then purchasing the third tier of any active ability the achievement will unlock.

  • Become the first Mercenary.

To unlock this achievement you need to become the first, or 'top' mercenary. On the menu you will find a 'Mercenaries' tab and here you will find 9 tiers of mercenaries, each tier having five mercenaries in it, up to tier 2 that only has three and tier 1 that only has one mercenary in it. These are who will hunt you down on land or sea when your bounty starts to climb. When you defeat a mercenary, as long as they are above you in tier rank (note it goes in reverse order, so rank 9 is the lowest and rank 1 is the highest) you will gain their place. So in doing this you don't necessarily have to defeat all of the mercenaries, you can skip some of them if you manage to kill mercenaries that are a higher rank than you. Killing mercenaries that are lower than your rank does not give you progress towards your own rank so feel free to leave behind or otherwise ignore any that you skipped, though there will always be mercenaries in all tiers that will hunt you down. They can be good for a little xp and loot.

Eventually you will reach 'Exekias the Legend' who inhabits tier 1 on his own. Find and defeat him when you're able and appropriately leveled (he's level 50) and take his place as the top mercenary and unlock this achievement.

  • Unveil all sub-regions of Greece.

To unlock this achievement you need to clear all of the fog from the map of Greece. This is likely to be one of your last achievements as it can prove quite monotonous. If you zoom into the map you can see each region is broken into smaller areas. You simply need to enter each area a good way and that entire area will then be cleared. You do not need to travel every nook and cranny, thankfully. Be wary of some of the smaller islands, the last place I unveiled was the tiny island called 'Kradia Isle' just south of Samos. It's very easily missed.

  • Upgrade the Adrestia to Legendary Status

To unlock this achievement you will need to purchase every upgrade for the Adrestia, your ship. You upgrade the Adrestia in the menu when under the 'Ship' tab. The upgrades are on the left. There are a total of 39 upgrades and each one costs resources and gold and lots of it! You also need to find 'Ancient Tablets' and you will need a certain amount for each upgrade. These can be found in temples and various other religious locations as a location objective and you can occasionally find them for sale at a blacksmith, so purchase them whenever you see them. It's worth noting that you can purchase a map with the Ancient tablet locations on it from the store if you are struggling to find enough, though it is not necessary if you explore a lot.

You will almost certainly be spending a majority of the game making progress towards this achievement simply due to the huge amount of gold and resources needed. I would recommend dismantling all common weapons and armour instead of selling them when you're done with them since that will give you some resources and the gold you get from selling them is inconsequential, as well as i would recommend that you mass buy resources from blacksmiths whenever you get the chance. Most of them sell between ~50 & ~300 of the three main resources and since gold is in abundance in this game i would certainly suggest putting it towards these resources to lessen the potential grind otherwise. Once you purchase your final upgrade, the achievement will unlock.

  • Fully crew the Adrestia with Legendary Lieutenants.

To unlock this achievement you need to recruit four Legendary Lieutenants and hire them all at once on your ship. First you need to unlock the four Lieutenant slots by upgarding the ships hull. Each level that you upgrade the hull gives you another Lieutenant slot up to the maximum of four and you can see what resources/gold the upgrade costs in the menu when looking at the 'Ship' tab.

    Once you have the four slots you're going to want to recruit Legendary Lieutenants. These can be found usually by recruiting high ranking characters such as area leaders and the mercenaries that attack you, so when possible do try to knock out important enemies instead of outright killing them on the off chance that you can hire them and that they are a Legendary NPC. I'll list below the four I used to unlock this achievement as well as where/how i recruited them;

    • Airopos the Heartless. The region boss of Megaris. Weaken him to the vulnerable state by destroying resources/killing camp/fort leaders then he will have no bodyguards around him when you find him. Sneak up to him and press behind him to knock him out, then again to recruit him
    • Kandake the Hulking Tower. This is one of the mercenaries that attacks you when your bounty is increased. She attacked me in Phokis when my bounty was at level 2. She was very tough and you cannot sneak attack her to bring her down, it will just do a decent amount of damage, but then the fight will begin. I got her health until it was almost nothing then i used the 'Sparta Kick' ability to finish her off since this is classed as knockout damage instead of kill damage. After she was knocked out i pressed to recruit her. She also counts as progress towards the "Wrath of the Amazons" achievement so it is well worth recruiting her for double usefulness
    • Katon the Sensible. This is another mercenary that attacked me when my bounty was level 4 and he attacked me when i was inside the Pharsalos fort in the Valley of the Nymph area of Phokis. Same as Kandake above, be sure to deal the final blow with a Sparta Kick attack so that you can recruit him afterwards
    • Kalaria the Soul Taker. Another mercenary that hunted me down when i had level 5 bounty while at the Desphina fort in the Hill of the Sacred War area of Phokis. Again dealing the final blow with a Sparta Kick allowed me to recruit her. She also counts as progress towards teh "Wrath of the Amazons" achievement

Once you hire your fourth Legendary Lieutenant via the Ship tab the achievement will unlock. Note that you can use any Legendary characters for this and after completing the game you get three given to you so don't worry too much about going for this. You can also use Ikaros to look at a character and their picture background will tell you whether they are common/epic/legendary if you wish to ease your search.

  • Sink your first Epic Ship.

To unlock this achievement you need to destroy any epic ship. The first chance to do this is when you first gain the use of the Adrestia. In the area where you destroy the Athenian blockade before getting to Megaris, you can find 'Helios the Lucky Drunk' sailing around. This ship is a level 9 and can prove quite a tough fight so early on with little to no upgrades, but it is possible. My tactic was to try and ram into the side of it as that was by far the most damage I could do. Though if you start to fumble near it after ramming and lose manoeuvrability, the arrow shots from the Helios are devastating and do massive damage, so be careful not to stay near it for too long. Fire your arrows whenever possible to do some damage, then line up for a ram once you're in position. After either destroying the ship, or boarding and killing everyone on board, the achievement will unlock.

Other than this ship, an 'Epic' ship is just a ship controlled by an important character, so either a cultist, mercenary or occasionally an enemy leader during a sea conquest battle.

  • Defeat a Mercenary in the Arena.

To unlock this achievement you need to defeat any mercenary in the arena. To access the arena see the description for "Are You Not Entertained?" for details.

For this achievement specifically, you can fight any mercenary that happens to be after you at the time, so you need to have at least a level 1 bounty against you, then when at the arena when choosing an opponent you can choose the mercenary that is hunting you down and defeat them for this achievement.

  • Upgrade the Adrestia for the first time.

To unlock this achievement you need to apply your first upgrade to the Adrestia. The upgrades can be found in the menu and range from upgrading your archers/javelins to improving your ram damage and hull armour. This costs resources and drachmae and the costs are shown for every upgrade as you look at it. You will likely get this soon after acquiring the Adrestia as one of your first main missions is to destroy some Athenian ships to break a blockade. When you destroy ships you can loot resources in the water by pressing as well as when generally sailing you will find resources floating in the water to loot.

After purchasing your first upgrade the achievement will unlock.

  • Equip a Legendary Armor set.

To unlock this achievement you need to equip a Legendary armour set. This needs to be each piece of armour from a single Legendary set and not just any five pieces of Legendary gear. When hovering a piece of armour, the stat card that appears will have some faded text around the middle of the card that will have the name of the armour set that it belongs to. You will find a lot of Legendary armour pieces as you play through the game but you won't always find matching pieces of the same set, however there are some high level quests that reward you with a full set, such as the quests to kill a full branch of cultists, since each cultist in a cluster will have one piece of the same Legendary armour set, so when dealing with the cultists for the "One Head Down..." achievement for example, you can use the full set you are rewarded with for this achievement.

  • Spend the night with another character.

    This achievement is potentially missable.

To unlock this achievement you need to sleep with another character. This can be done with multiple characters as either Alexios or Kassandra, however I play as Alexios so i shall detail the character I spent the night with to unlock this achievement.

Note that you can see a heart shape next to the dialogue option that usually leads to sleeping with them so it's difficult to miss. Chance your arm everytime you see this for an almost guaranteed way to unlock this.

When you arrive in the region called Phokis, which is where you go after completing Episode 2, you can find a side mission, ''Age is Just a Number',' given to you by a woman called Auxesia. She is very frisky for her age and tasks you with finding a bears scrotum and a deers tongue to make an elixir to give to her worn out husband to help him satisfy her. Once you have acquired these two ingredients, head to the quest marker and give them to Auxesia who is now with her husband outside a small building. During the cutscene the husband shows reticence in taking the elixir and is non too keen to partake, at which point you are given some dialogue options. Choose the option ''I can satisfy you'' and she will accept, much to the delight of her husband who can now relax with friends, playing his lute while you finish the deed inside. The achievement will unlock as soon as you offer to satisfy her.

Besides this encounter I happened across dozens of other chances with both male and female characters throughout the game. I've suggested this is potentially missable because you could avoid the dialogue option to sleep with every character that presents the opportunity but you would have to go really far out of your way to miss this.

  • Cleave a ship in half.

To unlock this achievement you need to destroy an enemy ship by cleaving it in half. To achieve this you have to ram into the side of the ship with a killing blow. You can damage the ship however you like but the final blow has to be a ram into it's side. You can get this on the very first ship you fight against when you first gain control of the Adrestia, head to the objective and there is a ship you need to destroy. If you can get a ram into the side of it before it moves off you can reduce it's health to around half. It will then try to manoeuvre away but you can just wait until it stops again to then line up another shot at ramming it's side. It took me three hits on the easiest difficulty to destroy it.

You can use to speed the ship up temporarily and doing this gives you a more powerful attack when ramming, however this is controlled by a meter that runs out rather quickly (although recharges itself almost immediately), so be sure you have enough to get a good speed charge into the enemy ship. Once the enemy ship is destroyed in this way, the achievement will unlock.

  • Perform an Overpower Attack with every weapon type.

    To unlock this achievement you need to perform an Overpower attack with every weapon type. The Overpower attack is a skill that you need to unlock with a skill point and can be found on the fourth row of the skills for both the Warrior and Hunter skill trees. You need to get at least the first tier in both the Overpower Attacks & Overpower Bow Strike skills that govern melee and bow weapons respectively. One you have these skills you need to build your adrenaline meter up which is the yellow meter underneath your health bar. This is initially in four segments but you only need three segments filled to use this attack by pressing and together for devastating damage. Do this for all of the weapons and the achievement will unlock. The weapon types needed are;

    • Swords
    • Daggers
    • Heavy Blunts
    • Heavy Bladed
    • Staffs
    • Spears
    • Bows
  • Kill the Leader of any Region with Low Resources, other than Megaris.

To unlock this achievement you need to defeat the leader of any region other than Megaris while they have low resources. Each region has a meter with three bars in it, and every time you act against the leader of a region or their faction in general, this bar depletes. To deplete this bar you need to loot war chests, burn war supplies and kill leaders for the faction that the region is held by. Once you get the meter to the bottom third you will be informed that the regions leader is vulnerable, which is when you can go and defeat them. It's highly likely you will do this achievement without being conscious of it.

Note that some of these region leaders are classed as Legendary characters so I would recommend sneaking up to them and knocking them out, then recruiting them to your ship on the off chance they are a Legendary character. Continue to do this until you have four Legendary characters for the "The Argonauts" achievement, then you're free to kill them as you see fit.

  • Complete 20 Bounties, War Contracts, or Naval Quests from Message Boards.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete a total combined 20 of the side missions 'Bounties', 'War Contracts' or 'Naval Quests'. You pick these up from the statuesque notice boards in towns as well as on the mast on your ship. These are timed, usually for 24 hours. There are an abundance of these, far more than 20 and they update regularly so don't worry about doing every one you see if one has objectives that you don't fancy, or if you just prefer to do the Bounties over the other two.

Naval Contracts typically have you sailing the Aegean/Mediterranean seas destroying boats. Bounties typically have you killing bands of soldiers or mercenaries at a certain location and War Contracts typically have you killing leaders and destroying resource crates all over Greece. Though sometimes the objectives differ slightly, such as there being a Bounty to destroy ships, rather than it being a Naval Contract.

Complete a combination of any 20 of these such missions and the achievement will unlock.

  • Raise your Bounty to the maximum level.

To unlock this achievement you need to raise your bounty to the highest level. There are five levels of bounty and to raise it you need to kill soldiers in open combat (stealthy kills won't raise this as you arent seen killing), steal in the open and generally cause mayhem. This can be done at sea too by attacking enemy/mercenary ships. As your bounty increases more and more mercenaries start to come after you so it can get tough, especially since sometimes the mercenaries in the area may be higher level than you and attack you more than one at a time.

A good way to get your bounty up is to go into an enemy encampment that has a brazier alarm and get spotted, then let someone light that brazier to get reinforcements called. Try not to kill everyone too soon and before long someone will go again to the brazier to light it a second time to call in more reinforcements. Doing this i ended up getting attacked by four mercenaries at once, two of which were one level above me and 1 that was three levels above me so it proved very difficult to survive, so do be careful. You can also set the Brazier off yourself by shooting a fire arrow or throwing a torch at it.

Your will also get a large increase to your bounty if you kill the Leader of a region out in the open in front of witnesses, so you could also try this for a boost, but beware of the guards surrounding a leader once you kill them as they are usually very strong.

This achievement can help with progress towards the "Top of the Food Chain" achievement as you need to defeat mercenaries to make your way through the ranks and become the top one, so do be conscious of this too.

  • Win your first on land conquest battle in any region (excluding Megaris in Hero's Journey).

To unlock this achievement you need to win your first conquest battle on land anywhere other than Megaris. The likely first chance you get to do this is in Phokis as it's where you're taken to at the start of Episode 3. To trigger a conquest battle you need to destabilize a region by destroying the controlling factions resources, looting their nation chests and killing their leaders. Once you have the leader of a region vulnerable, the conquest battle will become available. You will then find two opposing armies on your map in that region and can head over there to take part. You can choose to fight for Athens of Sparta depending on your chosen loyalties, though the reward and the difficulty isn't always the same for either side. Regardless of who you side with, win the battle and the achievement will unlock.

  • Engrave a Legendary Item with a Legendary Effect.

To unlock this achievement you will need to engrave any Legendary Item with any Legendary effect. You will unlock engraving effects for completing combat challenges as you play the game, things such as kill 25 archers or kill 50 enemies with daggers, as well as unlocking them via general game progression and completing certain missions/objectives. Press then go to 'Inventory' then to the engraving list at the bottom. This list shows all of the engravings that you have unlocked as well as all of the ones you can unlock along with how to unlock them (though some are vague such as 'Progress further in the story to unlock'). Once you have acquired a Legendary engraving effect and a Legendary weapon/piece of armour, head to a blacksmith and marry the two together to unlock this achievement.

  • Upgrade your Spear to Tier 6.

To unlock this achievement you need to upgrade your spear to level 6. This is done differently to normal weapon or character upgrades and is tied to certain quests. During Episode 4 you travel with Herodotos to the Island of Andros and enter a mysterious forge like structure. It is here where you first learn how to upgrade the spear and it is here where you must return to upgrade it each time you are able.

To upgrade the spear you need Artifact Fragments which are found as loot from defeating cultists. See the description for "The Cult Unmasked" below for details on how to do this. Once you have gotten enough fragments to upgrade the spear to level 6 and upgraded it, the achievement will unlock.

  • Defeat all the Cultists of Kosmos.

To unlock this achievement you need to find and kill every single member of the Cult of Kosmos. You gain access to the 'Cultists' tab on the menu after completing Episode 3.

There are 34 total cultists that you need to find and kill. On the 'Cultists' tab you can read some details about certain cultists that you have found clues about their identity to then gain access to some details about them and where to start looking for them. You need to follow the clues given to find each cultist then bring them down. This will take the majority of your playthrough to accomplish, culminating in the final cultist being the enemy during the final mission of your story. You will come across the solutions to these clues by completing the main quest missions as well as certain side quests that you will find dotted around the map as well as searching yourself for any that aren't tied to questlines. These are typically, but not limited to, looting certain chests that have solutions or looting certain characters/mercenaries that may have a solution.

Note the cultists are in clusters of six and you need to kill any one cluster of them to unlock the "One Head Down..." achievement. The side quests that are required to find all of these are so many that it would be ridiculous to write them all down, but anything that is shown as this symbol...

...pick these up whenever possible and complete them since they very often lead either to a solved clue for a cultist or another side mission that has a solved clue for a cultist.

An example of a clue for a cultist that does not have quest involvement woud be 'The Silver Griffin' who is a cultist in the 'The Silver Vein' cluster. His clue is 'Information on this cultist can be found in an Attika silver mine'. So you go to Attika on the map and look for a silver mine, there is one in the Silver Mountains area of Attika, so you go there and inside the silver mine one of the 2 lootable chests that make up the objectives for this area has the solution to the clue. You then loot the chest and then the identity of the cultist can be revealed. They then appear on the map for you to go and kill. I would suggest waiting until the very end of the game to clear these up since like I say many of them will be tied to quests that you do throughout the game and only a few left over will need to be specifically hunted down.

  • Recover the Cyclops's eye from a goat on Kephallonia.

To unlock this achievement you need to recover the Obsidian eye from the goat that you inserted into it during the prologue of the game. Towards the end of the prologue you will eventually confront The Cyclops who has been looking for you and the Obsidian eye you stole from him earlier. When you eventually get the mission to confront The Cyclops, during a cutscene you grab a passing goat and stuff the Obsidian eye up its backside then slap it and it runs off, then you're left to deal with The Cyclops and his men, after which you get your ship and leave the area. However, you can return to Kephallonia when you get free control later on. Once you get free control return to Kephallonia and start your search for the goat. Unfortunately there is no mission nor marker to track it so some luck will be needed.

What I did was to fast travel to the Lightning Zeus statue, then at it's base you will find goats almost permanently respawn around here. Once you're here just start killing goats at random and eventually you will kill the one that has the Obsidian eye. There is no way to tell which goat it is so just keep going and beware of your Eagle also killing goats so that you don't miss any drops from them.

  • Defeat Medusa.

To unlock this achievement you need to defeat Medusa. You acquire the quest to do this after first discovering Atlantis and speaking to Pythagoras who will charge you with reclaiming four keys to unlock Atlantis. The four keys are each held by one of the four Legendary creatures that you fight: The Sphinx, The Minotaur, Medusa, and The Cyclops. See "Birthright" for details on how to find Atlantis to start these quests.

To find Medusa you're going to want to travel to the island of Lesbos in the top right of the map. The structure, 'Petrified Temple' is roughly in the center of the clouded area on the western half of the island. To begin the series of quests that allow you entrance into this structure, you must pick up the initial quest 'Romancing the Stone Garden' found just south of this temple. Note this quest is recommended level 46.

After completing 'Romancing the Stone Garden', you will have to do the quest 'Love's Long Shadow'. This in turn leads to 'A Slithery Plea' which has two sub-quests: 'Hard to Artemis' and 'Heavy is the Spear'. Complete these to acquire the quest 'Keys to Happiness?' which in turn leads to 'Writhing Dead' that grants you access to the structure to fight Medusa. This quest was a level 50 quest so although you can begin the quest line earlier, the fight against Medusa will be extremely difficult if you attempt it too early. Defeat her in what has got to be one of the most memorable fights in the series and the achievement will unlock.

  • Defeat the Minotaur.

To unlock this achievement you need to find and kill the Minotaur.

This is achieved by travelling to the island of Messara at the very bottom of the map and going to the Minos's Legacy area and finding a side quest called 'Myths and Minotaurs' given to you by Ardos. Once you have completed this short introductory quest you will be given a new main quest called 'Of Minotaurs and Men' that is split into three sub-quests. These sub-quests are each quite long with multiple steps to follow, but they are all linear and easy to complete. After completing these three quests, return to Ardos for the next phase of the questline called 'He Waits'.

Note that the level recommendation to start this questline is level 33, but the final quest 'He Waits' is recommended level 40, so you can return to it later or do the quests in smaller chunks. Also you can do this quest before ever getting the prompt from Pythagoras in Atlantis, unlike the other three Legendary creatures.

  • Defeat the Cyclops.

To unlock this achievement you need to defeat the Cyclops.

The quest you need to start for this is called 'A God Among Men' and can be found on Kythera island at the bottom left of the map. Completing this quest leads to two more: 'Left to Dye' & 'Stairway to Olympos'. It's during 'Stairway to Olympos' that you face the Cyclops. Kill it for the achievement.

  • Outwit the Sphinx.

To unlock this achievement you need to Outwit the Sphinx.

You will be asked to find Pythagoras's apprentice so go do this and then complete his short quest to get a key to activate the structure you're directed to. Once you activate the structure you are given a series of riddles by the Sphinx and these must be answered correctly to successfully outwit it. The answers i gave are:

    • The Tide
    • A River
    • A Mosquito

After answering these three questions you are asked to touch three symbols that represent your answers. This was honestly quite ambiguous and I guessed but it worked and unlocked the achievement, so I touched in this order (using the Sphinx as a reference point in the middle, there are six symbols either side, number 1 will be the symbol immediately next to the Sphinx):

    • Wave symbol sixth on the right of the Sphinx
    • Moon symbol first on the right of the Sphinx
    • Hummingbird symbol third on the left of the Sphinx

After pressing these a small cutscene plays then the achievement unlocked.

  • Complete the Daughters of Artemis questline.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete the Daughters of Artemis questline. You begin this questline in the Sacred Lands of Apollo area of the Phokis region. Go to the Temple of Artemis location and speak to the woman there, Daphnae, who is offering a quest. The quest is to kill a monstress boar which is no mean feat. Once you have defeated this boar, return to Daphnae and she will be impressed enough to give you seven more tasks that include defeating legendary beasts. The level requirements for these range from between 16-39 so you will not be able to do this right away. They are:

    • The Hind of Keryneia, level 16
    • The Nemean Lion, level 22
    • The Kretan Bull, level 33
    • The Lykaon Wolf, level 36
    • Kallisto the Bear, level 37
    • The Erymanthian Boar, level 38
    • The Krokottas Hyena, level 39

Once you have killed the seven beasts and claimed their pelts, return them all to Daphnae for your reward and final test. Speak to her again to receive the quest 'Artemis's Request'. You will be asked to fight her as your final task. Note the final quest to fight her is a level 49 quest. It's not a tough fight so you don't need to wait until getting to level 49 since the previous quest is only level 39. You do not need to fight her though here and if you choose not to you will still complete the questline. If you do beat her, though, the Daughters of Artemis become enthralled to you as their new leader. This worked in my favour once on a later quest where I talked my way out of a fight by invoking my leadership, so there is a slight benefit in fighting/beating her in combat.

  • Complete Markos's questline.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete Markos's questline. Markos is your friend and saviour and he is met right at the start of the game. You will initially do main story quests for him during the opening stages of the game but when you leave Kephallonia you effectively leave him behind. Later on in the game you can find a quest on the island of Kos called 'A Business Opportunity'.

This is Markos who has been captured and imprisoned and you need to get him out and back to his new home on the island. After this he will give you the quest 'Old Friends, Old Problems' to deliver some wine, which of course doesn't go as planned. Complete this then you will be given the quest 'Farm in Flames'.which has you burning down some silo's. Simple enough. Then finally you will be given the quest 'Markos's Fate'. Complete this and the achievement will unlock.

  • Complete the Hippokrates questline.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete Hippokrates questline. You are pointed in Hippokrates' direction during Episode 4 when attending a party of the Athenian elite as part of the main questline, so be sure to speak to everyone and finish the 2 interesting side missions while at this party, to gather Oil for an orgy and to get one of the playwrites drunk at the behest of another.

When you meet him he will ask you to do a simple enough task for him in exchange for information on your mother (a running theme in this game). After you have done this and gotten what you can from him you will then not get quests from him for a time. During Episode 6 when the quest 'Abandoned by the Gods' is active you are tasked with returning to Athens. Do this but before proceeding to the quest objective you can find Hippokrates attending to a pile of dead bodies where he asks for your help in burning them. Do this quest now as it becomes unavailable after completing the main quest that you are currently on, though it won't void this achievement, it's still worth doing for xp.

After completing Episode 6 you can find Hippokrates in Thebes for his next mission, 'The Hunting Party'. After completing this you can immediately get your next quest from him, 'Let My Patients Go'. After this he will be unavailable again until you progress the story a little further, i completed most of Episode 7 up to reaching Atlantis, then came back to Thebes and he was here again with another quest, 'Inheritence Insurance'. Completing this short quest then leads to another short quest, 'Too Much of a Good Thing'. Completing this quest finished his questline and unlocked the achievement.

  • Complete Xenia's questline.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete Xenia's questline. You pick up this questline during Episode 4 towards the end when attending a party, you will speak to someone called Aspasia who will direct you to the island of Keos to meet with the pirate known as Xenia.

Once you reach the island you have to sneak, or kill your way to the building she is housed in and speak to her to begin the questline. Note you need 15,000 Drachmae to start it as she asks for payment before helping as long as you didn't kill any of her soldiers. If you did kill her soldiers she asks for 17,000 Drachmae instead, so do try and sneak your way to her. Once you have finished this initial meeting you will be given a quest ''A Chest Full of Drachmae',' so go and complete that, it's just to steal a nation chest. This is how you first meet her.

After completing her initial quest you need to then complete the three side quests that now open up in the town nearby for her next main quest to become available. Once you have completed these three side quests return to Xenia to acquire the quest 'Birds of a Feather' to begin her final set of quests. You will be given a set of maps and have to find the location of a golden feather for Xenia. The correct location is at the southern tip of the Isle of Salamis that is part of the Attika region, there is an altar with some vases, loot these vases to start the next quest 'Rumoured Feather Location'. Follow the quest marker to find the bandit that now has the feather, kill him and return it to Xenia.

After this you will be given another quest of this nature, 'Sacred Vows' but this time to find a bracelet. The correct location is the Temple of Poseidon at the southern tip of the Cape Sounion area of the Attika region. Once you're here you need to investigate the area at the back of the temple where a small alter is. Follow this trail to be led to where the bracelet is, grab it and return it to Xenia.

Then you will get the quest 'She Who Controls the Seas' that has you find 'Triton's Shell'. I don't have the location for this one since i picked this shell up by chance when playing through the game, however it is the same as the previous 2 quests, follow the maps to find the location.

Next you will get the quest 'Throw the Dice'. For this you have to go and get the maps from a merchant and then solve them to find out where the treasures are and there are two treasures this time. The Apollo's Lyre treasure for the 'Apollo's Lyre' quest is at Apollo Temple in the Forgotten Ruins of Makris area of the Euboea Region. The Pan's Flute treasure for the 'Pan's Flute' quest is in the Cave of Pan in the Marathon Beach area of the Attika Region. Bring both treasures back to Xenia for your final quest.

For your final quest, 'Priceless Treasure' you will need to travel to a fort and steal back a treasure. It is one of the three lootable chests at this location. Bring it back to Xenia to complete the quest and finally unlock this achievement.

  • Complete the Olympic questline.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete the Olympic questline. You begin this questline during Episode 7 when you meet the two Spartan kings. One of them tasks you with escorting the Spartan Olympic champion, Testikles to the Olympic games during the quest 'Delivering a Champion'. This goes awry, naturally and you end up taking his place. The next quest is called 'The Contender' and begins as soon as you take over as Sparta's champion. You can follow this immediately, even though there are side quests that now appear in the Valley of Olympia, they aren't necessary for this questline.

First you will go to the Pankration trainer and after a chat will have two fights. Win these, then you're going investigating with the new quest 'The Long Game'. Once this is done, it's time for your final Pankration fight against the reigning champion, Doreias. Beat him then after the ensuing cutscene the achievement will unlock.

  • Defeat a full cluster of Cultists of Kosmos.

To unlock this achievement you need to kill a full cluster of Cultists of Kosmos. Each cluster contains six cultists and they will all need to be killed for the "The Cult Unmasked" achievement, so getting this one will come naturally if you're going for that one too. The first cluster you will likely unlock is the 'Eyes of Kosmos' cluster and includes the following cultists:

    • Elpenor
    • Sotera
    • The Master
    • Hermippos
    • Midas
    • Nyx the Shadow

You will solve the clues, or have the clues solved for you rather by completing certain story/side quests and it seems you cannot simply find and kill these at your convenience and they need to be discovered via the 'solving' of their clues, however solving of their clues is just finishing the right quest or looting the right body to find out who they are. Once you have killed all 6 cultists of any cluster, the achievement will unlock.

  • Discover Atlantis and speak with Pythagoras.

To unlock this achievement you need to discover Atlantis and speak with Pythagoras. During Episode 7 after defeating the leader of Paros island you are directed to an island called Thera to seek someone out. Once you get to this island you will need to solve a simple puzzle in order to open the door that leads to Atlantis, just look for the light source reflecting from the mirrors and destroy the obstacles that block the light, while positioning moveable mirrors where necessary, until eventually the light reachs the top of the door and opens.

Once inside, follow the linear pathway until you meet Pythagoras. The achievement will unlock at the end of the cutscene.

  • Complete 20 Quests on Pephka, Obsidian and Abantis islands.

To unlock this achievement you simply need to complete any 20 combined quests from the three islands of Pephka, Obsidian, and Abantis. Pephka can be found at the very bottom right of the map, it's half of the island down there. The Obsidian Islands are to the north west of Pephka and are the two islands: 'Melos' and 'Hydrea'. The Abantis Islands are to the north of Attika and are the Euboea and Skyros islands. There are plenty of quests to be found on all of these islands so pick and choose which you want to do. Complete any 20 for the achievement.

  • Cleave a ship while having an all-women crew.

To unlock this achievement you simply need to have an all female crew then destroy an enemy ship by ramming into the side of it and cleaving it in two. You can get an all female crew from the start of the game by going to the Ubisoft club on the main menu and downloading the 'Assassins (Female)' crtew theme, then applying it to your ship once you gain access to it. Then simply find an enemy ship and ram into it's side repeatedly to cleave it in two for the achievement.

Note you do not need female Lieutenants for this, it is only the Crew Theme customization option that matters. Other than the Assassins (Female) them on the Ubisoft club you will find more female crews throughout the game as either loot in underwater locations, occasionally purchasable from Oikos of the Olympians and from finishing certain quest/lines.

Once you start the game up, the quest 'The Lightning Bringer' will be given to you. Just head to the map marker on Andros and the fight will initiate straight away. After completing these you will be given the quest 'The Best Defense' which gives you the choice to either destroy the caches of the attacking army or find and kill their scouts. DLC: Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 1: Hunted

There are 5 achievements with a total of 110 points

  • Kill the Makedonian lion.

You can find the lion on the eastern-most of the three peninsulas at the summit of the mountain and synchronization point 'Mount Athos'. This is very much just a basic animal fight, so kill it however you see fit and the achievement is yours.

  • Kill 10 enemies using the Death Veil ability.

This is a new ability added to the game and simply has enemies disappear when you assassinate them silently. You can unlock it in the Assassin skill tree. Then sneak into camps and forts and assassinate enemies. This is cumulative.

  • Land a Rush Assassinate that chains 4 times with the Pride of the Lion.

To unlock this achievement you need to use the Rush Assassinate ability while having the sword 'Pride of the Lion' equipped and chain it to attack four enemies within one sequence. This is much easier than it may seem. First, you are given the sword after completing the first main quest of the DLC and it is Legendary so you cannot lose it. You then need to have the Rush Assassinate ability unlocked. This is on the second row in the Assassin skill tree. Once you have these two things, you need to find four enemies who are in close proximity to each other and do not have walls/barriers separating them.

With the ability assigned, using as an example, press and hold and to attack your first unsuspecting enemy, then while that animation is playing out, move your camera to find the next enemy and when prompted on screen, press again to chain to that enemy and repeat until you have killed 4 of them. If you are attacked or interrupted the chain will break and you will need to attempt it again.

The achievement will unlock upon killing your fourth chained enemy.

  • Kill all of the Ancients in the Order of the Hunters in Makedonia.

This is a new branch that has been added to the cultist menu and there are 7 of them to find and kill. I will list below where to find their clue that reveals their identity.

    • Phratagoune the Keeper: The clue to her identity is in the small room that you find yourself in after completing the first quest and speaking to Neema and her father. It is on a table next to the doorway.
    • Konon the Fighter: You pick this clue up off the dead body of the first hunter above.
    • Akantha the Deceiver: You pick this clue up as one of the quest objectives during the main story quest 'Revealing the Recruiter' in Olynthos Fortress.
    • Bubares the Conspirator: You are given this clue and identity during the main quest 'Revealing the Recruiter'.
    • Timosa the Physician: You find this clue by picking it up at the Aristeas Military Camp in the Swamps of Thermes area of Makedonia.
    • Pactyas the Huntsman: This is the main antagonist of the DLC and you will kill him at the end of the main quest.
    • Echion the Watcher: You get the clue to this huntsman while going through the side quest 'Dead Man Rises' that you can pick up from one of the orange exclamation marks that have been added to Makedonia.

After finding and killing all 7 of the huntsmen, this achievement will unlock.

    Story related, cannot be missed.

This achievement will unlock after completing the main story of the DLC.

DLC: Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 2: Shadow Heritage

There are 5 achievements with a total of 110 points

  • Kill 10 enemies using the Rapid Fire ability.

To unlock this achievement you need to kill 10 enemies using the new Rapid Fire ability. You have access to this ability as soon as you own the DLC but you need to unlock it with skill points and can get 3 tiers of it.

Once you have it, use it by aiming with your bow, pressing the appropriate button that you assigned it to and holding to keep shooting. Do this as you play the DLC and you'll unlock this right near the beginning.

  • Set 10 enemy ships on fire.

To unlock this achievement you need to set 10 enemy ships on fire. You can do this either with the fire upgrade for the Adrestia from the base game, or you can use the new Chimera's Breath weapon that you gain access to during the quest 'Leviathan's Maw'. To be sure you set a ship on fire, look at the flaming symbol that appears when you use fire attacks and you can see the red circle fill and then the white outline will flash. When it fills the ship will be set on fire. 1 fire attack is usually not enough and sustained fire is needed.

You will likely not encounter 10 ships during the main quest so after completing it, get into your ship and look for enemy ships to attack, then set them on fire as you see fit until you have set 10 on fire for this achievement.

  • Heal by parrying 10 times with the Judgment of the Lion.

To unlock this achievement you need to heal yourself 10 times by parrying with the Judgement of the Lion. The Judgement of the Lion is a heavy bladed weapon that you acquire after defeating The Tempest during the quest 'Leviathan's Maw'. Once you have it, equip it and then go and look for some soldiers to fight in a fortress.

Let the soldiers hit you so you have less than full health then parry an attack by pressing and at the same time while using this weapon and you will gain 10% of your health. Repeat this 9 more times to unlock this achievement.

  • Kill all of the Ancients in the Order of the Storm in Achaia.

To unlock this achievement you need to kill all of the Ancients in the Order of the Storm. These are another set of 'cultists' that you need to discover clues about to track down and eliminate, though most will come through completing the story. I will detail all 5 below in the order I encountered them.

    • Megakreon: You will encounter him during the main quest 'Theatrics and Espionage' and must defeat him here.
    • Phila the Tempest: You will encounter her during the main quest 'Leviathan's Maw' and need to defeat her at the end of it.
    • Nestor the Formidable: He is the captain of a ship just off the Poseidon's Wrath area of the Achaia region. He will be sailing around this area.
    • Augos the All-Seeing: She is in Pellene in the Scavenger's Coast area of Achaia. You can get the clue to her position from killing Nestor the Formidable.
    • Sophos the Broker: You have to find the clue to discover this Ancient and it is in Shipwreck Coast which is in Scavenger's Coast in Achaia. He is then found in the town of Patrai in the north of Achaia. Picture below shows where to find it.

After killing your final Ancient the achievement will unlock.

There is a wolves den towards the southern tip of Mount Helikon so go here to find wolves if you need help finding them. DLC: Legacy of the First Blade, Episode 3: Bloodline

There are 5 achievements with a total of 130 points

  • Kill 10 enemies using the Fury of the Bloodline Ability.

To unlock this achievement you will need to kill 10 enemies with the 'Fury of the Bloodline' ability. You can unlock this ability straight away and it can be found in the Warrior skill tree. Once you have it, assign it to a shortcut then when in combat use it on enemies. I found that it wouldn't outright kill most enemies, so weaken them first then use this to finish them off. Kill 10 enemies in such a way for the achievement.

  • Heal by getting 10 headshot kills while you have the Golden Harbinger equipped.

To unlock this achievement you will need to kill 10 enemies with a headshot kill while having the 'Golden Harbinger' equipped. You will find this weapon after killing the cultist 'Gergis the Herald'. See the description for "For Love of Persia" for his location.

Once you have it, equip it and then go around shooting and killing the weaker enemies with your bow via headshots. You may need to weaken them first with melee kills. You will need to do this in open combat and let yourself be hit to lower your health if you need to, then when you get a headshot kill, you will be given 1% of your health back. Do this 10 times for the achievement.

  • Acquire the Sword of Kings

To unlock this achievement you need to acquire the Sword of the Kings. At the end of the main questline, you will be given a broken sword and a new quest called 'Remnants of the Ancients'. Travel to Pilgrim's Landing in Phokis and speak to a blacksmith there who will reforge the sword for you after you have killed all of the cultists in the Order of Dominion. See "For Love of Persia" for their locations if you have yet to kill them. After killing them all, return to the blacksmith and he will reforge the sword and unlock this achievement.

  • Kill all the Ancients in the Order of Dominion in Messenia

To unlock this achievement you will need to find and kill all 7 of the cultists in the Order or Dominion. This is much the same as all of the other cultists from the main game and previous episodes of Legacy of the First Blade. You will find and have to kill four of them during the main quest and find another three on your own. The clues to each are easy to follow, however I have detailed them below for your convenience:

    • Found during the main questline:
      • The Immortals - These are the two enemies you fight at the end of the opening quest.
      • Dimokrates the Destroyer - You find out who he is during the main quest 'The Ordering of the Kosmos', then subsequently kill him.
      • Gergis the Herald - You will be given the clues to this person's identity during the earlier main story quests and eventually be approached by a child who will deliver a letter to you with instructions to meet him. Kill him at the end of this quest to pick up his weapon 'Golden Harbinger' for the "Surgical Sniper" achievement.
      • Amorges, the Tusk of Persia - This is the main antagonist of the DLC and you will find out who he is early on in the questline and eventually have to defeat him towards the end.
    • Found post-questline:
      • Artazostre the Silence - The clue for her identity can be found at the bottom of a pit in Keadas Cave in the Valley of Aristomenes area of Messenia. She can then be found in the Bay of Hades area of Messenia.
      • Pithias the Architect - The clue for his identity can be found on top of some animal skins in the Pedasos camp in the Bay of Hades area of Messenia. He can then be found in the city of Aipeia in the Valley of Aristomenes area of Messenia.
      • Gaspar the Gatekeeper - The clue for her identity can be found in the wetlands in the Bay of Hades area of Messenia. She can then be found in the Mines of the Great Trench area of Messenia.

Once all 7 are dead, the achievement will unlock.

These three quests have you going back and forth between the modern and ancient worlds and are each very short and linear. Upon finishing this last quest, you will need to finish a short section in the modern world, then when you return back to the ancient world, the achievement will unlock.

Finally after completing that, speak to her one final time to begin 'A Night in Tegea', completing which will complete the DLC. There are choices you can make during these quests that will affect the outcome, however they are irrelevent in regards to unlocking the achievement.

Complete this to be given the quests, in order, 'Followers of Truth', then 'Family Values', then complete 'Defense of Samos', and then finally complete 'Moving Forward' to complete the DLC and unlock the achievement. Note that this final mission, 'Moving Forward', won't become available until you complete the side mission 'We Remember' in Athens from the base game.

DLC: The Fate of Atlantis, Episode 1: Fields of Elysium

There are 5 achievements with a total of 110 points

    • Kill all Overseers in Elysium.

To unlock this achievement you will need to kill the Overseers of the three regions; 'Pheraia's Retreat', 'Deuklion's Heritage' and 'Minos's Faith'. The fourth leader, Persephone herself, is the main antagonist of the DLC and as such can't be killed in the same way, or at all, as the rest of the leaders.

This is exactly like the base game where each region has a leader and you work to destabilise the region and eventually assassinate them. While you can, however, just sneak up to them and assassinate them on their own as they are usually stood alone, you will need to reduce the influence of Persephone in each region so you may as well leave the leaders until the regions are destabilised for an easier time in dealing with them.

The leaders are shown on the map with the same purple symbol as they are in the base game, so they are easily recognisable. Kill all three for this achievement.

    • Destroy all of the Marble Maiden Tributes.

Throughout Elysium there will be locations with marble statues of Persephone with a small guard protecting them. You simply need to eliminate the guards in the vicinity, then attack the stone statues to destroy them. There are 18 total and their locations are on the maps below:

      Asphodel Fields;

      Pheraia's Retreat;

      Deuklion's Heritage;

      Minos's Faith;

    • Collect all the Keeper's Insights in Episode 1.

The Keeper's Insights are stone tablets that when found allow you to upgrade a specific skill to make it even more powerful. You will be given the quest 'A Growing Perception' that allows you to track them, but does not give you a quest marker to guide you, only a line of text to describe the location. You will travel to some of these locations during main quest missions so I would recommend not attempting these straight away so that you don't waste time unneccessarily. There are four to collect in this DLC and they can be found in the locations below:

      Asphodel Fields;

      Pheraia's Retreat 1;

      Pheraia's Retreat 2;

      Minos's Faith;

    • Win the conquest of Elysium with freed humans from the 3 main regions.

      This achievement is missable.

To unlock this achievement you need to make sure that before you begin the final quest and conquest battle, 'The Rebellion's Uprising', that you have completed the optional quest 'Free their Minds, the Rest Will Follow'. This quest tasks you with liberating eight mind controlled humans from each of the three regions; 'Pheraia's Retreat', 'Deuklion's Heritage' and 'Minos's Faith'.

You do this by knocking them out and then pressing to remove their mind control, much like recruiting lieutenants in the base game. The first part of this quest will guide you to a spot to liberate two humans and teach you how to liberate them should you be unsure, then you are told to liberate another eight from each of the aforementioned regions. Be sure to do this quest as soon as you acquire it so that you don't miss the requirements for this achievement before heading into the final battle.

This achievement will unlock at the end of the final quest 'The Rebellion's Uprising'.

    Secret achievements

    • Remember who you are.

      Story related cannot be missed.

This achievement will unlock upon defeating an unexpected adversary in combat during the quest 'Dead Kings and Pretty Things'.

DLC: The Fate of Atlantis, Episode 2: Torment of Hades

There are 5 achievements with a total of 110 points

    • Defeat Cerberos.

      Story related, cannot be missed.

You will unlock this achievement at the very beginning of the DLC when you defeat Cerberus, the Three-Headed dog.

    • Close all Tartaros Rifts.

At the beginning of the DLC you will be introduced to a new threat in the form of Tartaros Rifts and also be shown how to close them. You essentially have to enter the rift and defeat the 3 or 4 enemies that are created from it and then the rift will be closed. At first, you will find yourself weakened against the enemies that spill from them and later find out that acquiring the 'Armor of the Fallen' will aid you in your attacks against the rifts. You will need to acquire this armor as part of the main story so you should leave these rifts until you have acquired the armor. 4 pieces of the armor are acquired from defeating 4 of the 'Fallen', see "The One" for more details on these, while the fifth and final piece is found during a story mission towards the beginning of the story.

After acquiring the armor you can make your way through the locations in the game where Tartaros Rifts are present. Though you will find some as you're playing naturally, most are in generic locations that you would otherwise not visit during the story. All of their locations can be found on the maps below:

      The Scorched Lands

      Mourning Fields

      Chasm of Torment

    • Defeat all of the Fallen.

The Fallen in this DLC take the place of the Mercenaries from the main game and they can be found in the menu under the 'The Fallen' tab, that itself takes the place of the 'Mercenaries' tab. Most of these are characters that have been defeated initially during the main game's story and are now wandering the underworld, bent on wreaking havoc, though the 4 champions you need to defeat and recruit are legendary figures of Ancient Greece.

There are 11 in total and the majority of them will be necessary enemies during the story for you to defeat and in some cases recruit, however some will require you to complete 'Charon's' side missions up to a point so that you can defeat them all.

4 of them are required to be defeated to find 4 pieces of the 'Fallen' armor.

      • Swordfish of Octopus Bay
      • Epiktetos the Forthcoming
      • Delaneira the Boeotian Champion
      • The Poisoner of Athens

You will be given information on them when you acquire the main story mission to find and defeat them for their piece of the armor. Killing 1 of them will yield information on where the next can be found.

Then there are 4 champions who you need to defeat so that they can be placed as guardians of the underworld.

      • Perseus the Gorgon Slayer
      • Achilles the Trojan War Hero
      • King Agamemnon of Mycenae
      • Herakles the Legendary

Their locations are also given to you by either the quests to defeat them or the clues your obtain from their defeat.

Then finally another 3 that need to be defeated during either the main story or through Charon's side quests.

      • The Monger of Korinthia
      • Testikles the Olympian
      • The Cyclops of Kephallonia

Once you have found and defeated all of the Fallen, the achievement will unlock.

    • Collect all the Keeper's Insights in Episode 2.

      The Keeper's Insights, much like the previous episode are upgrades for specific skills that can be unlocked in the 'Abilities' menu. There are only 3 of them in this episode and their locations are on the maps below;

      The Scorched Lands

      Chasm of Torment

      Mourning Fields

    Secret achievements

    • Dethrone the king.

      Story related, cannot be missed.

You will unlock this for completing the main story of the DLC after defeating Hades in combat.

DLC: The Fate of Atlantis – Episode 3: Judgment of Atlantis (Store Link)

There are 5 achievements with a total of 130 points

    • Kill 10 Isu Soldiers with the Blessing of Kronos enhancement.

You can find the Blessing of Kronos skill at the Keeper's Insight in the 'Insight of Blessings' location. See "Gathering Full Strength" for a map.

Once you have it, it can be found as an enhancement of the skill 'Venomous Attacks', so activate it by pressing . Once you have the skill, equip it so you can use it in combat and be sure to use it as often as you can so that you get this achievement as soon as possible. Blessing of Kronos gives you 50% more adrenaline when dealing damage and gives you immunity from adrenaline drain attacks that the Isu like to use so is a very useful ability to be using anyway.

Kill any 10 Isu, of which you will be fighting dozens throughout the DLC, to unlock this achievement.

    • Completely fill the Knowledge Sequence.

You will get progress towards the Knowledge Sequence from completing certain activities, such as main story missions, scanning Isu Data Caches and finding Keeper's Insights, as well as from various other activities and from interacting with Isu writings.

There are 3 levels of the Knowledge Sequence and you need to reach each level to unlock some areas as they are sealed off by level 2 and 3 Knowledge Sequence requirements.

The best way I found to do this was to complete any missions I had, then if my knowledge wasn't high enough, do some exploring to scan Isu Data Caches or find the Keeper's Insights to progress it further and unlock more missions.

This achievement will come naturally from playing the game and exploring the areas required to be explored for the miscellaneous achievements below.

    • Forge the 3 Legendary Weapons.

You will pick up a side quest called 'Fire Amid the Water' after finding Adamant Ingots from some of the select locations on the map. These are required to forge the Legendary weapons.

To forge all three of the legendary weapons you need to collect nine Adamant Ingots, as each weapon will require three Ingots and they can be found throughout the locations in Atlantis. You can find one in each of the Keeper's Insight locations detailed in the description for "Gathering Full Strength", while the other six can be found in the following locations:

Once you have enough Ingots for a weapon you can head to 'The Forge of Atlantis' which is initally a golden question mark on the map but will be a fast travel point once you discover it. Upon entering you will find three pedestals, one for each of the three weapons. Each can be chosen to have specific characteristics, for each of the character types - Hunter, Warrior and Assassin - though which you choose doesn't matter, you just need to make each one. Once you have all three of them, the achievement will unlock.

The Forge can be found here:

    • Collect all the Keeper's Insights in Episode 3.
