The reason this game has been given a difficulty of 5/10 is purely because of the time trial mode. When I first went through it, my time was 18 minutes 25 seconds, it takes quite a while and a bit of patience wittling it down second by second to under 13 minutes.
For Bankshot Billiards 2 there is no 'story', just a variety of different modes. The modes consist of all the regular Billiards games (8 ball EU, 9 ball, 3 ball etc). The Golf and Trick modes start off a little daunting but are actually relatively simple once you've done about 5 of each. Although there is an online option, all achievements can be gained in single player and are made particularly easy by being able to do them in Local Multiplayer with a second controller.
4 Achievements In Ten Minutes.
Basically, start a game of 9-ball with a weak CPU. Break, and if you pot the 9 ball, you win. You must pause and quit before your opponent's turn if the 9 ball doesn't go in on the break, otherwise your previous winning streak will be wiped. Do this 4 more times and you will have unlocked four achievements:
1. Lucky Break (5)
2. Bankshot Amateur (5)
3. 9-ball Shark (15)
4. Bankshot Ultimate Hustler (40)
8-ball shark (using 2 controllers)
A little preparation, on controller 1 sign into a dummy account. On controller two sign into your account (the account you want the achievements on). On controller 1 start a local 8 ball match. Break with controller 1 and try to pot a ball off the break. Now controller 1 is free to aim for the black ball and pot it, thus making player two, you, the winner. Rinse, repeat.
Check this thread for a few tips. The only piece of advice I can give you for this is learn how to use you backspin correctly and dont use the default power. It's just a case of trial and error in many cases.
The most annoying achievement on the game. This is the post that helped me get it. On the table with the most balls, don't settle for 2 minutes+. I believe i got it down to 1 minute 27 seconds. You can go onto the leaderboards to view your total time taken so far. At one point I was taking 1 second off everytime I tried a table. It may not sound like a lot but it all adds up.
By this time you should have all of the achievements minus 1 or 2 which can be gotten by playing 3 ball and completing 55% of the trickshots. You might also need to play more Local 8 Ball in case you didn't win 50 without losing a turn.
This is a really fun arcade game that has it's easy and fun achievements but also the challenging ones. It's a pain that you need to complete Time Trial mode but it's made easier because you can just keep coming back and pecking away at those pesky seconds.
Thanks to CannibalJoe for the "4 Achievements in Ten Minutes" method.
