Introduction:

Borderlands 2 follows the story of four new Vault Hunters as they fight to free Pandora from the clutches of Handsome Jack, the brilliant, charismatic, and utterly despicable CEO of the Hyperion Corporation.

Playthroughs:

This can get a little confusing, so I've decided to show the output of how many playthroughs it should take you here. So below is a quick breakdown of it all.

For the 4 character based achievements, Salvador and Zer0 will cause you the most issues. This is because you have to level up one certain Skill Tree on each of them to reach certain Skills to then be able to unlock their achievements. Luckily there's a way around this, but it will take time.

This is based off you either starting with Salvador or Zer0. Play the game how you like and buy whatever Skills you want from whatever Tree you like. But, if you do not stick to the right one for the whole thing, you will have to Respec at some point to obtain the achievements for these two characters.

You will have to level up enough, that you can unlock the Skills needed first, which are on Tier 6 of a certain Tree. Then you'll have to Respec your points and put them onto the right Tree. Putting all of this into perspective, it's quite hard to nail down a precise number of playthroughs it'll take you, but below I've tried my best.

Salvador (Starting character): 1½/2 - Unlock 47 achievements. If you didn't buy the right Skills, you'll have to Respec.
Zer0: ¾/1 - Unlock 1 achievement. If you didn't buy the right Skills, you'll have to Respec.
Maya: ¼ - Unlock 1 achievement.
Axton: ¼ - Unlock 1 achievement.

Co-op/Online:

There's only one achievement relating to having another player online. This is "Friendship Rules" where you'll need another player who is on your friends list. Please see the guide for more information.

Misc:

These achievements won't unlock through natural progression, you'll have to do something to obtain them. From the list given, most are pretty simple but some may take a little bit of time and thought.

Some will require you to use all 4 characters and their Actions Skills, complete certain challenges and so forth. None are too difficult to obtain though, they may just take a while.

Conclusion:

Achievement wise, this game is very straight forward, fun and easy enough to get the full 100%.

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty

Playthrough:

Welcome to the first DLC for Borderlands 2, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty. Overall the DLC shouldn't take you too long to complete and it's quite fun to play. Like the main game, you shouldn't have any major issues getting the new 125.

The only thing that may take you some time or cause you some trouble are the 2 new raid bosses. These guys are a lot harder than the ones from the main game, so grab yourself a team and hopefully all will go well.

Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage

Step 1: Main story
Your first step should be to complete the main story of the DLC, which consists of 12 missions, including the final mission, ''Long Way To The Top'', which upon completion will unlock the achievement, 'Explosive' for your first 40.

Step 2: Side missions/Collectibles
Next you should proceed to complete all side missions that have been introduced with this DLC. All of the side missions are shown on any map that you are currently on by a yellow exclamation mark, or are shown in your journal, either by an orange question mark for discovered side missions, or by a white exclamation mark for undiscovered missions. Completing all side missions will earn you a further 40

After completing all side missions, you should then proceed to find all the collectibles. There are only 10 that you need for the achievement, but they are not in set places in the world, rather, they are randomly dropped from certain enemies(primarily 'Bad-Ass'' enemies), so the amount of time it will take for you to find 10 is mostly down to how lucky you are to have them drop from enemies. This achievement is reportedly glitchy and can take more than 10 to unlock, although it will unlock eventually, its just a matter of how many pictures more than 10 you may need. When you do get this achievement to unlock, you will have earned yourself the final achievement worth 45.

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt

Step 1: Story
The story is very easy to go through, even on playthrough 2. However there are two somewhat tricky parts involving the last level. One part asks you to activate the bridge. It is a bit confusing but you need to just shoot at the bridge across the chasm a few times.

The other is the end boss Jackenstein. Make sure you have a good corrosive weapon. You need to shoot at the power cells on his back before you can start to shoot at his body. You'll take out one power cell and then he'll jump up to a ledge with a shield. Take out most of the Hyperion robots and he'll jump back down for you to hit the other power cell. He will jump up again and you will need to take care of more robots. When he finally jumps down, unload into his chest/head region and he'll lose a 1/4 of his health when you hit him enough automatically. Making this boss not as intimidating as it seems. Do this one more time and he will die. See "Face Off" for more tips and a video guide.

Step 2: Side Quests + Raid Boss
This DLC has a total of 13 side quests. 11 of these are quite easy and should each only take a few minutes to complete. One of them however requires you to kill several rare enemies of each type. It is advised to activate all side quests as soon as you get them so you can kill a handful through natural progression. These enemies are much more common than Chubby's but they still have about a 1/10 chance of spawning. If you end up reaching a waypoint and the creature isn't spawning then save, quit, and start the game up again. It should spawn.

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep

Step 1 - Campaign
Playing through the campaign or main story or main story of the game will easily net you five achievements. "I Totes Planned That Boss," "Yaaaaaay," and "Shorty, You So Best" will give you 95. While playing through the story you should obtain "They Was All "Hey That's Mine"" for 20 with ease due to several battles having 10+ of the enemies required. "Hmmmmm" for 15 can be gotten while playing through the last chapter. You pass the room where Mr. Miz is in while climbing up from the dungeon.

Step 2 - Side Quests and Miscellaneous
Once you're done playing through the campaign its time to run through and do a few side quests and do some minor things. Start with "Girl's Gotta Eat" by going back to Flame Rock Refuge and talking to the Queen and then feeding her some eridium. Once you have done that head to Hatred's Shadow and follow the map and video under "It's Like That One Video". Once you are there just simply shoot the cave a few times and it will die giving you the achievement. It has health like a regular enemy so it shouldn;t take that long.

Once you have dealt with those 2 achievements go talk to Moxxi at her tavern and she will give to find Murderlin. When you get to him he will give you a quest to partake in his survival arena. There are 6 rounds to get through each being slightly more troublesome than the last.Once you have complete the 6th round the badass round and turn in the quest you will get "Dang Girl You Ace At This Game".

Step 3 - Raid Boss
Now for the raid boss, 4 dragons! You will need to pay 20 eridium to get to the raid boss so have some ready. The boss is in The Lair of Ininite Agony. Once you have beaten the 4 dragons the achievement "Make it Raaaaaid" will pop right away. After the raid boss there are a bunch of dice chest, so if you have not gotten "Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin" this is your chance as there are 48 dice chests to try to get it on.

Borderlands 2 Achievement Guide

Printable Guide
Show completed achievements
Show secret achievements

There are 69 achievements with a total of 1625 points

  • Completed level 1 of all non-level-specific challenges with a single character

    (325)

There's many challenges in the game which you'll need to complete past level one for this. Well over half will come through natural progression of the game and are easy, while others will require certain guns, elements or types of kills.

One challenge you should look at first is 'JEEEEENKINSSSSSS!!!'. Knowing what to do here beforehand will save you hours of grinding.

For a full list of all the challenges, please go HERE.

  • Allowed a Goliath to level up four times before killing him

    (99)

Goliath's are big hulking monstrosities [IMAGE] that can be found throughout Pandora.

The Goliath starts out with a mask/helmet that helps control his rage. First you'll need to shoot this off and at the point of doing so, the Goliath will go into a rage mode. In this, he'll attack anything and everything in sight.

Each kill the Goliath makes while raging will gain him experience points and then levels, becoming even more dangerous. This means you'll need to leave him to rage until he's gone up 4 levels to a total level of 5. You'll know when he's levelled up as he'll do a small animation, gain some health back and his name will change.

    • Level 0: Goliath
    • Level 1: Raging Goliath
    • Level 2: Badass Goliath
    • Level 3: Super Badass Goliath
    • Level 4: Ultimate Badass Goliath
    • Level 5: Fatal GOD-liath

Once he reaches Fatal GOD-liath, you're free to kill him for the achievement.

  • Completed Round 5 of any Circle of Slaughter

    (60)

The Circle of Slaughter can be located in either Ore Chasm or The Fridge areas. Simply head here to receive the side mission "Hyperion/Bandit Slaughter: Round ..." from the Innuendobot 5000 or Fink.

The Circle of Slaughter has the same concept of Moxxi's Underdome DLC from Borderlands. You're placed in an arena and then presented with waves of enemies that you must defeat until you complete the round. So for this achievement, you must get to and complete round 5. Once a single round is complete, you can head back to the quest giver to hand that round in and gain some XP/Cash as well as restock on things.

Trying to do this solo can be a little tricky, but the Circle of Slaughter in The Fringe is a a little easier because the levels are set lower. If you feel you need a team but don't have anyone that is up-to-par who can help, ask HERE.

  • Reached level 5

    (10)

Once you reach level 5, your characters unique Action Skill will be unlocked and ready for you to purchase and use in battle.

Please refer to "Capped Out…For Now" for more information.

  • Reached level 10

    (3)

Please refer to "Capped Out…For Now" for more information.

  • Reached level 25

    (2)

Please refer to "Capped Out…For Now" for more information.

  • Reached level 50

    (92)

Reaching level 50 will take you at least 1½/2 whole playthroughs of the game. Simply completing one playthrough will get you to around level 30-35. Unless you play a lot more coop with higher levels, then you may be a little more.

Once you've reached these levels, you'll be pretty close if not at the end of the game and the XP will be small and sweet. This now means you need to move onto your 2nd playthrough with the same character.

The XP you gain now in this playthrough will be more worth it. You should reach level 50 at 3,429,728 XP and about ½ if not at the end of your 2nd playthrough.

  • Tipped Moxxi $10,000

    (49)

    *See below for cheat method.

Money shouldn't be too hard to come across in this game as it's everywhere. You'll get it from completing main/side missions, killing enemies and completing challenges.

Moxxi can be found in Sanctuary at her bar & club called Moxxxis. You can't miss her, she's behind the front desk. Once you spot her, you'll notice a glass jar on the front desk which has some red lips poking out of it saying, "Insert Your Tips".

Look at it and you'll be prompted to either give Moxxi a $100 tip by pressing  or a $1,000 tip by pressing . If you have the cash, press  to hand over a $1,000 tip. Now do this 9 more times and the achievement will unlock. If you don't have enough money don't worry. You can come back at any time to give her the remaining money, it does not have to be all in one go.

*If you want to keep your money, simply save the game before you give the full $10,000 tip to Moxxi. Once done, quickly dashboard. Now just load up your previous save and you'll still have your $10,000.

  • Had Purple-rated gear or better equipped in every slot

    (170)

Borderlands 2 uses a colour-coding classification system for all the equipment throughout the game. Certain weapons are common, while others are rare and this is relayed back via a different colour. Below is the key for each colour and its rarity.

    Weapon Colour Codes

    • White: Very Common
    • Green: Common
    • Blue: Uncommon
    • Purple: Rare
    • Magenta: Very Rare (E-Tech)
    • Orange: Legendary

Seeing as the purple or higher are set as rare+, you won't come across them much at the beginning of the game, but as you progress through it, you'll start to notice a few more about via item drops, crates or shops. You'll need to fill all 8 slots available - 4 guns, shield, grenade, class and relic mod.

If you're having trouble with this achievement, please go HERE and trade with other member who can give you the stuff you need.

  • Killed 100 enemies with the Sabre turret

    (11)

To obtain this achievement you'll first need to be playing as Axton and have reached level 5, as using the Sabre Turret is his unique Action Skill. Now that you're playing as him, all you'll need to do is use his Turret on 100 enemies making sure they die by it. There's a few Skills worth buying to make the process go faster though. So, feel free to level up and spend some Skill Points on them.

    Below are the Skills that may help;

    Guerrilla Skill Tree

Sentry: Increase the number of shots your Sabre Turret fires in each burst. Also increases your Sabre Turrets duration.

    • Required Level: 5
    • Skill Tier: 1
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Scorched Earth: Adds multiple rocket pods to your Sabre Turret.

    • Required Level: 15
    • Skill Tier: 3
    • Skill Upgrade: 1/1

All you need now is enough enemies to use the Action Skill on. To start, this may be easier to get playing solo because then you don't have to worry about other people stealing much need kills.

  • Phaselocked 100 enemies

    (13)

To obtain this achievement you'll first need to be playing as Maya and have reached level 5, as Phaselocking is her unique Action Skill. Now that you're playing as her, all you'll need to do is use her Phaselock on 100 enemies. Again, there's a few Skills which may help it go a little quicker, so feel free to level up and spend Skill Points on them.

    Below are the Skills that may help;

    Motion Skill Tree

Converge: Your Phaselock ability now also pulls nearby enemies towards the original target.

    • Required Level: 15
    • Skill Tier: 3
    • Skill Upgrade: 1/1

Quicken: Increases the cooldown rate of your Phaselock's ability.

    • Required Level: 20
    • Skill Tier: 4
    • Skill Upgrade: 3/5

All you need now is enough enemies or simply one to use the Action Skill on. To start, this may be easier to get playing solo because then you don't have to worry about other people making kills before you get to use it. Remember that the enemy(ies) do not have to die while in the Phaselock.

  • Gunzerked continuously for 90 seconds

    (59)

To obtain this achievement you'll first need to be playing as Salvador and have reached level 5, as Gunzerking is his unique Action Skill. Now that you're playing as him, there's a few Skills you're going to have to buy from your Skill Trees before you can stay in Gunzerking mode for 90 second, so this will take some levelling to reach them.

    Below are the Skills you'll have to purchase;

    Rampage Skill Tree

Last Longer: Increases the Gunzerking duration.

    • Required Level: 10
    • Skill Tier: 2
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Yippie Ki Yay: Increases the duration of dual-wielding every time an enemy is killed while Gunzerking.

    • Required Level: 20
    • Skill Tier: 4
    • Upgrade: 5/5

Now that you have them, you're good to go for 90 seconds. All you need now is enough enemies to keep it going. This is easier to get playing solo because then you don't have to worry about other people stealing much need kills.

  • Killed a Chubby

    (75)

Chubby can be found all around Pandora, but there's two good spots you're guaranteed to find one and that is in the starting area of the Caustic Caverns (Cubby Vakid) & the Wildlife Exploration Preserve (Cubby Stalker). It has a fixed spawn point where the first group of enemies are located, right next to the fast travel stations. So you can back out to the main menu and hit continue to make all enemies respawn but take note they're ultra rare, so it may take some time. A Chubby is not a normal enemy, he's a variation of an enemy type, so - Varkid, Spiderant, Skag, Stalker, Midget and Rakk.

For a list of other known locations, please see below.

    • Blake Bridge
    • Underground area's of Frostburn Canyon
    • The Dust
    • Firestone
    • Slaughter Dome

  • Got an item from Michael Mamaril

    (105)

Michael can be found in Sanctuary. His location changes randomly, so you'll have to do a bit of searching. All you need to do is simple talk to him and he'll hand you a weapon. Once you've accepted it, the achievement will unlock. Below are a list of his known locations.

    • Scooters Garage
    • Marcus's Shop
    • Centre of map, next to the "This Just In" vendor
    • Moxxxi's, at the bar or next to the piano & jukebox
    • Outside the Black Market
    • Crimson Raiders HQ
    • Down by the Sheriffs near the Dhal garbage
    • Dr Zeds
    • Stairs near Claptrap

  • Killed Donkey Mong

    (99)

Donkey Mong is an ultra rare monster that spawns in the Bullymong areas of Eridium Blight [MAP]. You will enter this area automatically during a story mission. He looks like one of the common Bedrock Bullymogs, but throws explosive barrels at you.

Donkey Mong has only one single spawn point, however, he spawns very rarely. He can also spawn at any time of day. Take note that you do not have to do any special requirements to make him spawn.

  • Killed a flying enemy with a thrown Tediore weapon

    (24)

Tediore weapons have a special ability that each time you reload, your character will automatically throw the weapon (don't worry it'll come back to you) wherever you're currently aiming. Doing so and hitting any enemy with it, will cause a small amount of damage. So with that in mind, you'll first need to find/purchase a Tediore weapon, have it equip and then you'll need to search for any flying enemy.

The best enemy to try this on is a Rakk as they take one hit from the thrown weapon. Plus you're in luck as they're right at the start of the game in Southern Shelf. So either do some of the side mission and hope you get a Tediore gun as loot, or buy one from the town.

Once you've got one, head open area just outside of the town and you'll see some Rakk flying about. Simply take a shot at them and they'll start to fly towards you. As one gets close, tap  to reload and hopefully you'll hit one of them. If not, just rinse and repeat until you do.

  • Redeemed 25 tokens

    (12)

This achievement is linked to your characters Badass Rank. These ranks are gained by completing challenges given to you throughout the game. Upon completing one, you'll be given a new Badass Token which you can then put towards a new Badass Rank.

There's no limit on how many Tokens you can receive and Badass Ranks you can gain, so all you need to do is obtain and redeem 25 Tokens. To use a Token or see how close you are to the next Badass Rank, open your ECHO Device and tab across to the Badass Rank/Challenges page (Medal icon).

  • Remained in Zero's Deception mode for ten seconds straight

    (60)

To obtain this achievement you'll first need to be playing as Zer0 and have reached level 5, as being in Decepti0n is his unique Action Skill. Now that you're playing as him, there's one Skill you're going to have to buy from your Skill Tree before you can make it last for 10 seconds or more, so this will take some levelling to reach it.

    Below is the Skill you'll have to purchase;

    Bloodshed Skill Tree

Many Must Fall: Killing an enemy with a melee attack while Decepti0n is active, causes you to deploy another holographic decoy, re-stealth, and add time to Decepti0ns duration. This can be done multiple times in succession.

    • Required Level: 30
    • Skill Tier: 6
    • Skill Upgrade: 1/1

    There's also a few optional Skills worth buying that may help;

    Bloodshed Skill Tree

Killing Bl0w: Massively increase melee damage against enemies with low health.

    • Required Level: 5
    • Skill Tier: 1
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Iron Hand: Increase your melee damage and maximum health.

    • Required Level: 5
    • Skill Tier: 1
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

F0ll0wthr0ugh: Kill Skill. Killing an enemy increases your movement speed, melee damage and gun damage for a few seconds

    • Required Level: 15
    • Skill Tier: 3
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Execute: Melee Override Skill. While Decepti0n is active and a target is under your crosshairs, dash forward a distance and preform a special melee attack, dealing massive damage.

    • Required Level: 15
    • Skill Tier: 3
    • Skill Upgrade: 1/1

Backstab: Your melee attacks deal bonus melee damage when hitting an enemy in the back.

    • Required Level: 15
    • Skill Tier: 3
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Like the Wind: While moving you gain increased melee damage and gun damage.

    • Required Level: 25
    • Skill Tier: 5
    • Skill Upgrade: 5/5

Now that you have that, you're good to go for 10 seconds. All you need now is enough enemies to keep it going. This is easier to get playing solo because then you don't have to worry about other people stealing much need kills.

Alternatively, you can try the method shown below. Thanks to redemption ownage for showing this to us. (I just tried it myself with a turbo controller to mash  for me and it worked like a charm)

  • Killed a Constructor without it ever building another bot

    (14)

The earliest time you'll come across a Construct is during the side quest "Out of Body Experience". These guys are pretty tough and you may have a few issues in your earlier levels trying to bring one down at your current level and weapons to hand.

There's a little trick though. Once you've come face to face with one, kill all the initial enemies around him and then die. Once you respawn around the corner, the Construct will no longer build anymore robots. This now gives you the time to kill him without the worry of more enemies being spawned by him and missing out on the achievement.

  • Unlocked 10 customization items

    (16)

To unlock a customised item, you'll need either get it as a reward for gaining a new Badass Rank, so completing challenges, or find them via dropped/found loot. There are tons to collect for each Vault Hunter, so you're not limited to just 10 pieces.

Once you've found an item, make sure you go into your ECHO Device and select it with . Doing so will send it to the PTM Quick Change machine in Sanctuary. You must do this for it to count towards the 10 you're collecting.

  • Revived someone from "Fight for Your Life!" that is on your friends list

This can be boosted very early on in the game. First things first, you'll need someone on your friends list who is playing the game and willing to join your game or you joining theirs. If you don't have anybody, please go HERE.

Once you've got a partner and are in a game, you'll now need to find an enemy. Going into "Fight for Your Life" mode is kind of like "Last Stand" in Call of Duty. When your health is depleted to 0, you'll die but go into "Fight for Your Life". Being in this mode, you can only crawl at a slow pace but you can still shoot your weapons. If you manage to kill an enemy before the new health bar is depleted, you'll be brought back to life and get your "Second Wind". But for this achievement, you don't want to do that.

Once you've found an enemy, either you or your partner stand there and let it kill you. Now have either yourself or your teammate walk up to each other and you'll then be prompted to press and hold  to revive. Doing so will bring them back to life (when the green bar is full) without them having to shoot and kill someone and the achievement will unlock. Just make sure you revive them before their health bar runs out, otherwise they'll die indefinitely and respawn away from the fight.

*This can also be done with a second silver XBL account. Simply log them in, and then continue to follow the description above.

  • Purchased 5 items from the black market

    (8)

The black market can be located on the east side Sanctuary (Hostel). The market is a place where you can purchase SDU upgrades. These SDU's will give you increased clips for all guns or either more spaces for your personal equipment bank.

To buy any of the SDU's you'll first need some Eridium which can be found via loot drops, treasure chests or completing missions. You'll now need a total of 20 Eridium to purchase 5 different things as the initial lot all cost 4 Eridium each. Below is a list of all the items for sale.

    • Backpack SDU
    • Bank SDU
    • Assault Rifle SDU
    • Grenade SDU
    • Pistol SDU
    • Launcher SDU
    • Shotgun SDU
    • SMG SDU
    • Sniper SDU

  • Gave Claptrap a high five

    (49)

You'll first get a chance to high five Claptrap in Sanctuary where he's located in the north west corner of the map. He'll also offer you the mission "Claptrap's Secret Stash".

You'll first need to complete the mission he hands over to you, which isn't very hard. Once done, turn it in and then follow him. He'll only walk around the corner to another NPC. Once he does, get close and you can then press  to give him a high five.

Simply press  and Claptrap will then put his hand up in the air. Now aim up and press  to melee his hand for it to count as a high five. It may take a couple of goes to connect, but once you do, he'll put his hand back down and the achievement will unlock.

If you miss it this time, there's plenty of opportunities later on where you can ask for as many high fives as you like.

  • I can't even capture it on my camera

    (37)

For this achievement, you'll need to head to The Highlands. Around the centre of the map, you should come across the Hyperion Extraction Plant. Head inside and you'll now want to fight your way all the way to the end and the back of the base. You should come a cliff edge.

Once you've found that, look over the edge and you'll see a new little ledge and tent down below. Simply jump off the cliff and down to the tent and you'll be presented with some audio by Handsome Jack or Claptrap and then the achievement will unlock.

  • Completed the mission "Shoot This Guy in the Face"

    (33)

This is a side mission you'll pick up while playing through the "The Once and Future Slab" main mission in the Thousand Cuts area. On your way to the Buzzard Factory you should notice the guy on the cliff edge with a !above his head.

Find your way down to him and he'll offer you the "Shoot This Guy In The Face" side mission. Just make sure you shoot and kill the guy in the face to unlock the achievement.

  • Defeated Terramorphous the Invincible

    (358)

Story related and cannot be missed.

You'll first encounter Terramorphous the Invincible at the end of your 1st playthrough when the mission "You. Will. Die. (Seriously)" will become available from Tannis after you've defeated the last boss and the credits have finished. He will be located at Terramorphous Peak in the Thousand Cuts area and he's not an easy boss.

To have any chance of beating him, you'll need to be at least level 50 and will need a very good Badass Rank. As well as that, you may need 3 other players on your team who are matched the same in level/stats. It's also best to have one of each character in some situations, because of certain Skills working best off each other.

One thing you'll have to make sure you don't do is let everyone die. If everyone in the arena fighting Terramorphous dies, his health will be reset back to 100%. Plus every time you want to fight him and enter his lair, it'll cost you 4 Eridium. Other than that, good luck.

  • Opened the chest at the bus stop in Fyrestone

    (26)

Fyrestone is in the northern section of the Arid Nexus - Badlands area. This is the place where the original Borderlands 1 started. First you'll need to head to the red building to the north west of the town. Once you've found that, this is where the chest lies.

Now, simply jump up the building and onto the roof to find the chest. Simply open it to get some nice loot and the achievement will unlock.

  • Collect 10 pictures of Moxxi in Campaign of Carnage

    (67)

Whilst in any of the new locations introduced in this DLC, there is a small chance that any enemy with the words 'Bad-ass' before its name will drop a framed pictures of Moxxi, upon dying.

The picture has a purple glow when it has dropped (Looks like PURPLE rare loot), and is a rather large, rectangular, somewhat unmissable object, amongst all the weapons and cash dropped from dead enemies, so you won't miss them when they drop.

Fastest way to farm these is at 'Pyro Pete's Bar', which can be accessed by travelling through 'The Beatdown' area. A lot of 'Bad-Ass' enemies spawn here if you activate the mission, 'Bar Room Blitz' within this area and you can activate the mission as many times as you want. Just start the mission, kill everyone inside the bar, including the large amount of 'Bad-Asses' that spawn here, hoping that 1 or more will drop a picture, if so pick it/them up, then save and quit. Then hit continue when you get to the main menu, and you will already be inside Pyro Pete's Bar when you spawn. You can then activate the mission again and continue the cycle until you have found 10 pictures to unlock the achievement.

*Note; This achievement is reportedly glitchy and may not unlock for some people after having found 10 pictures. Do not worry though, as it will unlock, you may just need to find more pictures. It may take somewhere in between 10 and 20 pictures to unlock the achievement, but it will unlock. Some report that there are 10 different pictures that must be collected. This is currently unconfirmed.

DLC: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt (Store Link)

There are 3 achievements with a total of 125 points

  • Complete the mission "The Fall of Nakayama"

    (13)

Story Related. Can not be missed.

    The story missions consist of...

    • Savage Lands
    • Professor Nakayama, I Presume?
    • A-Hunting We Will Go
    • The Fall of Nakayama

The final fight against Jackenstein can be a bit tricky. Before you start you should have a Bee Shield and a good corrosive weapon (Conference Call works nicely). There are four parts to this battle. All very similar to the previous.

As soon as you jump down, unload on the electric power cells on it's back taking out 1/4 of his health. As soon as you take out one of them he will jump up and be protected by a shield. When this happens, you will need to take out a handful of Hyperion robots before he jumps back down. Unload on his second power cell when he does taking out another 1/4. He will jump back up to his previous spot and you will need to take care of more Hyperion robots. As soon as he jumps down again, use your most powerful weapon and unload in his chest/head region. His health will get bumped down from 50% to 25% then he'll die. Here is a basic video guide explaining what to do.

  • Complete all Hammerlock's Hunt side missions

    (66)

There are a total of 13 side quests. Here is a list of all of them in the locations they can be activated at. They are all easy with the exception of "Voracidious the Invincible." The roadmap has a guide to a glitch to easily defeat him. There is also information for a select few quests below that can cause some confusion when trying to be completed.

    Hunter's Grotto

    • Now You See It
    • Big Feet
    • Paling Around
    • An Acquired Taste
    • Egg on Your Face
    • Still Just a Borok in a Cage

    • Voracidious the Invincible

    Scylla's Grove

    • The Rakk Dahlia Murder
    • Urine, You're Out
    • Ol' Pukey
    • Nakayama-rama
    • Follow the Glow

    I Like My Monsters Rare
You will end up having to farm for enemies. Load up a particular area with the type of enemies you need and kill them. When you do you need to save and quit then start the game up again. There will be more enemies for you to kill. Rinse and repeat until you finish the quest.

    Egg on Your Face
A good tip though is if you see a white/cyan line sticking up from any distance it's probably an egg. Cyan is the only item that seems to show up across the entire map. It will take some driving but you will end up finding all 23 eggs by keeping your eyes open.

    Urine, You're Out
This quest has to be done at night. It may be hard to tell what time it is but the spots are easy to spot. All of them are on claptraps stuff. Boomboxes, speakers, etc. You will however have to jump around on objects to reach some of them.

    Follow the Glow
The waypoint that you are directed to is underground. You need to go down (using the map) and to the left, using the path that goes around and under. It looks like a handle (cup) on the left side of the map. Use the teleporter and the rest is easy.

  • Discover all named locations in Hammerlock's Hunt

    (12)

This achievement is pretty straightforward. There are 5 sections to the DLC and you need to uncover the entire map. If the spot is shaded then it means it is not uncovered. If you think you are in a location that should uncover but it's not, you need to find a way to get above where you are currently standing. For example, the map won't reveal itself if you are in a cave. But if you are on top of the cave it will.

DLC: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep (Store Link)

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • Slay Mister Boney Pants Guy

    (7)

Story related, can not be missed.

  • Introduce thyself to the White Knight

    (2)

Story related, can not be missed.

  • Complete thy quest by rescuing yonder queen

    (8)

Story related, can not be missed.

  • Feed thy noble queen 3 times during one visit to her quarters

    (6)

After rescuing the Queen she will be returned to Flamerock Refuge. You can find her near the White Knight (just up the hill from Moxxi's bar next to the very large tree). Talk to her and she'll give you a couple of quests to do. The second of which is to feed her. Do so 3 times in a row to pop the achievement. She has a very particular diet and only eats Eridium. It will cost you 15 bars of Eridium to get this achievement.

  • Show thine worst enemy, the abomination known as "The Darkness," who is the nerdiest of them all

    (13)

In Hatred's Shadow, you will see a dark area on the wall across from a campfire. Use any weapon to shoot the darkness (an "enemy" health bar will appear when you place your reticle over the dark). A door will be revealed and you'll see a chest with two 20 sided die perched atop taunting you from within. Refer to the below image (courtesy of iBuzz7s) for the location.

Note: If you equip a Magic Missile grenade mod and throw that at The Darkness (instead of just shooting it) the door will open allowing you to open the chest inside. However, the achievement only pops when the Darkness is slain with bullets. Save your magic missiles for a subsequent trip through Hatred's Shadow. Magic Missile grenade mods are dropped by Wizards/Mages. (thanks to DustyTheHamster and TigersRule for the Magic Missiles tips). The Darkness respawns so you can go back and re-kill it as many times as you like. This is handy if you don't have a Magic Missile when you first encounter it.

  • Unsheath 5 swords from Immortal Skeletaurs without leaving the area

    (8)

During the mission "Denial, Anger, Initiative", you will come to a battle arena with a giant tree in the middle of it. In order to progress the story you must defeat 4 ghost kings. Some of the lesser enemies that spawn during the first half of the fight are the Immortal Skeletaurs.

Once you kill one, walk up to it and "unsheath" the sword sticking through its body. There will be a prompt to press and pull it out. They will keep coming back to life until you pull the sword from their corpse (hence the Immortal part of their name). Any Immortal Skeletaurs killed on this map will count toward the total so long as you haven't travelled since killing them. I killed 2 prior to getting to the arena and the achievement unlocked upon pulling the sword from my 3rd Skeletaur during the fight. If playing co-op any swords pulled by any member of your party will count toward the total and you will all get the achievement.

Note: If you failed to get this by the end of the campaign, you can go back to the same arena later and redo the fight to find enough of these guys in the same area.

  • Win the most challenging round in Murderlin's Temple

    (33)

The main story must be completed to pick this up. Moxxi will give you the initial quest in Flamerock Refuge to send you to see Murderlin. Complete the 6th (Badass) wave to unlock this achievement. You can either play through all 6 rounds in your own game or join someone else's for the last round. Achievement will unlock upon turning in the quest. It is not even required to complete the round; only to be present when the quest is turned in.

    Wield the Mysterious Amulet

    (40)

    MISSABLE:  Don't punch Mr. Miz!

If you already punched Mr. Miz, check out the Achievement Trading thread or find a friend that DIDN'T punch him who will drop it so you can pick it up. Achievement unlocks when you equip the amulet.

Mr. Miz may or may not show up during your initial run through. Many have reported not being able to find the guy. He appears to be a random spawn like the Goliath that drops an echo recorder in The Fridge (side quest from the main game). After the campaign is finished there will be an "Undiscovered" quest in the Lair of Infinite Agony to point you toward him. If he's there, you should see his exclamation point on the map. If you don't see his exclamation point, just fast travel away and back until he pops up. You must purchase the amulet. It is expensive but the price appears to vary; it's unclear exactly what all the price is dependent on. It cost me 750,000 on tvhm. It can be duplicated.

  • Demonstrate your skill, or lack thereof, at rolling the magical treasure orb of many sides

    (20)

You'll find loot chests with two 20 sided dice on top in various places on the maps. You can roll one or two die (depending on if you want to spend eridium or not) to try and get better loot. The higher the roll, the higher the quality/rarity of the loot spawned inside. The highest die is used to determine quality of loot. The first dice chest can be found in the northeast part of the Unassuming Docks near the broken temple looking area (The Forlorn Ruins) down on the waters edge. The highest die must be either a 1 or a 20 to pop the achievement. If you don't pop the achievement by the end of the main story, once you defeat the Raid Boss (see "Make it Raaaaaid" for more info) you will gain access to another 53 of these chests right there.

Easter Egg for 3 more chests: After defeating the raid bosses when you're going through opening all the other 53 chests, there is a balcony (furthest south center of map) with 3 breaks in the chain railing and a lot of rakk looking creatures flying in the background. If you stand on the balcony watching them long enough a short but epic battle will be waged in the background and then 3 more chests will rise out of nothing filling the blank spaces in the chain railing. Probably more worth it for the epic battle than the loot chests. (thanks to DustyTheHampster for the heads up on this)

  • Vanquish the Ancient Dragons of Destruction

    (78)

To gain access to this quest, you must first have completed the main story. Mr. Torgue is the quest giver. He should be in the stocks back at the front of Flamerock Refuge across from the fast travel. You may need to complete his prerequisite side quest "Fake Geek Guy" if you haven't already. There is a statue located on the lower levels of the Lair of Infinite Agony. It requires 20 Eridium to activate and reveal the entrance to the Raid Boss area. If you're attempting this quest on TVHM or above it is strongly recommended that you bring friends. There are four dragons (one of each elemental type):

    • Step 1 - Kill the Electric Dragon. It has the ability to heal the other dragons which should make it a top priority.
    • Step 2 - Kill the Fire Dragon. Whenever it lands it can light parts of the ground on fire. This can prove to seriously cause a problem if you are low on health.
    • Step 3 - Kill the Corrossive Dragon. It is slighter more difficult to kill than the Slag Dragon as it does more damage to you and spawns in basilisks.
    • Step 4 - Kill the Slag Dragon. This dragon is by far the easiest and will just take a good amount of bullets to kill.

This is easier on Playthrough One as each of the dragons are level 38.
