Note: Enemies appear in both ‘Classic’ and ‘Speedrun’ modes, but since you will be playing the majority of the game in ‘Classic Mode’, these will naturally unlock during that playthrough.
Unlike the first Bouncy Bullets, the developers added an ‘invert Y-axis’ option for those who prefer to play inverted.
In ‘Classic Mode’, you should unlock 10 of the game’s 11 achievements. There are 45 levels in total, but you are required to complete only 23 of them for six achievement. The next three achievements are for killing three different enemies, and then there is one for collecting one golden nut, which you will earn in the first level.
The object of each level is to find the portal at the end. Early on in the game, enemies are introduced, but they generally don’t move around (some jump up and down) and their projectiles are easily avoided by strafing. There are three different colored enemies; magenta, yellow and black. For the magenta and yellow ones, you need to shoot the same color bullet as the enemy in order to defeat it (either or ). For black enemies, they can only be defeated by first bouncing your bullet on a wall or the ground before it hits them. Throughout the later levels, there are no more than 1 to 3 black enemies in any given level, and they are spread out enough as to not all be shooting at you at once.
A few more levels into the game you are introduced to obstacles. Jump pads allow you to reach higher elevations. You will also encounter cannons, which fire a slow-moving rocket, and rotating flamethrowers, but both are in very few levels. There are also spikes and rotating blades, but again, in just a couple of levels. Lasers are prevalent the most, especially in later levels, and are avoided by simply jumping over them; but be careful as they rotate so you need to pay attention to their beams.
The levels will naturally become a little more difficult as you progress. Nothing is too overwhelming and even though there is a time limit to complete each level, you should have enough time to reach the portal at the end.
For the final achievement, Speedrunner (100G), you just need to play one level in ‘Speedrun Mode’. The achievement doesn’t require you to complete it fast, just to complete it.
Bouncy Bullets 2 is your standard Ratalaika game. The achievements are not that difficult at all, even for the unskilled. Just about all the achievements are progression related so you should unlock the full 1000 in less than a half hour.
