Introduction:
Welcome to Bridge Constructor Portal, the third entry in the series. This entry unsurprisingly combines the gameplay of Bridge Constructor with the obstacles and mechanics of the Portal series, namely Glados as the AI guiding you, portals themselves to go through, sentry guns, and other items. If you've played other Bridge Constructor games, there is one really nice thing about this game: no budget! You can build to your heart's content without being restricted by a dollar value. Instead, the challenge in this game is entirely in making use of minimal anchor points for your structures and with trying to navigate the portals and obstacles. Achievement wise, you'll have to complete all of the levels with the "hard" setting, snag a couple easy miscellaneous achievements, and then grind out one or two others. Let's get started.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Your first and main order of business is to complete all 60 levels. Completing a level with your standard vehicle will then open up the option to try the level with a convoy of vehicles. All 60 levels need to be completed with the convoy of vehicles, so your constructions need to be pretty rigid and sturdy to withstand the convoys, which can be upwards of 16 vehicles in a row. Thankfully reliable level solutions are available and can be found in the "0% Non-Delivery" achievement solution.

One thing to note: since this is a physics based puzzle game at heart, it's possible that vehicles will behave differently for you with a structure that looks similar, so don't be surprised if you need to tweak your construction a bit here or there to get it to work. Or, run the vehicles a couple times and see if it turns out slightly differently.

This step will take a solid chunk of time because even with solutions, it takes a little while to build the paths in some levels. Just be aware you don't typically need to replicate level solutions exactly. Even so, expect to spend quite a few hours getting each level just right.

Once you've completed all 60 levels with the convoy, all that's left is mop up and then grind.

Mop-Up:
At this point, if you haven't unlocked them or done them yet, you can now very quickly and easy knock out "Centrifugal Convoy Adjustment System," "Entry-Exit Relay Repeater System" and "Aerial Mobility Support System." Refer to the guide for levels in which you can easily get these three.

Grind:
If you're really good or just didn't let attempts play out until cars were destroyed, you may still need to grind some "deaths" for "You monster." but you'll definitely need to grind out "For More Science!" Refer to the guide for which levels to grind them out in quickly. That should wrap up your completion.

Portal Proficiency DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The Portal Proficiency DLC comes with 30 new levels, as well as one brand new mechanic: you place portals wherever you want, instead of them being fixed. This makes for a whole new level of challenge in this DLC. Like all content though, a guide can be used to replicate constructions. Like the base game, you'll need to complete all 30 levels like normal and with a convoy. Refer to the guide for level solutions for all 30 levels with convoys.

Once that's done, there are a handful of miscellaneous achievements to unlock. You'll likely get the majority of them as you progress. If you're missing any when you're done, such as destroying 50 test vehicles (which is the only one you probably won't get naturally), then refer to the guide for where to best unlock each achievement, wrapping up this DLC.

Overall Conclusion:
Bridge Constructor Portal is another solid entry in the series. The budget limitations have been removed, allowing you to rely entirely on your building and engineering prowess to conquer each level. Additionally, you've got the added comedic element from Glados to lighten things up as you go. Like other games though, you can use level solutions to get through the game relatively quick, but constructing each level will still take some time.

  • Pass through the same portal 15 times

Note that this achievement does NOT stack and is NOT the same as "Entry-Exit Relay Repeater System." There is a very subtle difference between the two. This achievement requires you to go through the same portal 15 times in a row without entering any other portals in between. It's an important distinction to make, because the method of doing this is entirely different.

For this achievement, you have a couple options. The first option is the longer but easier option. You can simply wait until you reach level 42 as you progress. When you load up level 42, build nothing and simply press to send a car through. The track is already set up for an infinite loop and after 15 passes through the portal you'll unlock this achievement.

The other option is if you want this achievement sooner. I personally got the achievement on level 9, because the structure to finish the level is so close to what you need for this achievement. The picture below shows what I built to unlock this achievement. You actually could probably unlock this achievement in an earlier level if you're willing to build quite a bit to force it, but level 9 barely required any extra effort so that's where I did it.

  • 30 times back and forth through the same portal

Note that this achievement does NOT stack and is NOT the same as "Centrifugal Convoy Adjustment System." There is a very subtle difference between the two. This achievement requires you to pass back and forth through the same pair of portals 30 times. Doing this will not unlock the other achievement. It's an important distinction to make, because the method of doing this is entirely different.

The easiest way to get this achievement is to simply progress to level 20, and then when you load up the level, building nothing. Press to send a car, and since the portals are vertical you'll just keep going back and forth. You'll have to sit there for a few minutes, but after 30 passes this achievement will unlock.

  • First turret decommissioned

    Progress-related; cannot be missed.

You'll get this achievement upon completing level 11. Refer to the "0% Non-Delivery" achievement solution for a level solution. You essentially just need to push the turret from behind into the blue laser to destroy it, unlocking this achievement.

  • Bounce 25 times on the repulsion gel with the same vehicle

Repulsion gel is first introduced in level 17 but level 18 is the first and easiest spot to get this achievement. Simply build a ramp that launches your vehicle into the wall above the repulsion gel. You'll fall straight down onto the gel and bounce up and down indefinitely. The screenshot below shows how I accomplished this.

  • 20 convoys delivered

Refer to the "0% Non-Delivery" achievement solution for more information.

  • 40 convoys delivered

Refer to the "0% Non-Delivery" achievement solution for more information.

  • 60 convoys delivered

There are a total of 60 levels, and each level must first be passed with a single (or sometimes two) vehicle, after which you'll unlock the ability to attempt the level with a convoy of vehicles. This convoy can be as few as 3 or as many as 16 vehicles in a row, so your constructions will often need to support the weight of many vehicles simultaneously. Thankfully the multiple vehicles typically help out with an even weight distribution on your construction. In addition to a robust and sturdy structure, many levels involve timing, such as making sure your vehicles don't collide with each other or get hit by energy balls that make your vehicle explode.

I have provided references to solutions below. It's important to note that there isn't one correct solution to each level. Be aware that you usually don't need to copy the solutions exactly. However, for some levels you can expect to tweak things quite a bit to get it just right. This is especially important when deflecting energy balls and cubes, or getting timing right so things don't collide. The solutions can more easily be used as a guideline, and then you can add to or tweak the solution based on your personal observation. Levels 53 and 59 were particularly difficult for me. I spent a ton of time tweaking my constructions to get everything just right.

Firstly are how I completed each level with a convoy. I didn't use any levels solutions so it's possible there are better ones than mine, but to give more options to work with here are mine for reference: LINK

Here are screenshots for each level available from IGN: LINK

Or if you prefer a video, here is a video showing all 60 levels being completed with a convoy. You'll just have to pause and copy the solution. Full credit to the video's creator.

  • 1,000 Portal Transitions

Refer to the "For More Science!" achievement solution for more information.

  • 5,000 Portal Transitions

This is a cumulative total across all level attempts and there's pretty much no way you'll have this many portal transitions by the time you finish everything else, so be prepared to grind this out. I solved every level myself and I was around 60% done with this achievement. Naturally you should wait until you're done with everything else first before grinding this out.

The best level to do this on is level 43 because there are so many portals in that level. Completing the level successfully with the convoy will result in 112 portal transitions per completion. Replay with the convoy over and over to grind this out. It'll take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes depending on how long it took you to progress through all of the levels and how many failed attempts you have. The "0% Non-Delivery" achievement solution has the level solution for level 43 for how to set it up. Replay it over and over to grind out this achievement.

  • 100 Test Vehicles destroyed

This is a cumulative total across all level attempts. It's very likely you'll unlock this naturally as you progress as long as you let the chaos play out if your structure isn't good. If you press to go back to building as soon as something is wrong, then you probably won't make much progress towards this achievement.

Naturally grinding for this achievement should be saved until you're done progressing. Once done, load up level 23 (removing the structure on the left side, if your construction is still there) and send the 14-vehicle convoy through. They'll all fall in the acid. Repeat until the achievement unlocks. It should take a couple minutes.

Secret achievements

    DLC: Portal Proficiency

There are 10 achievements with a total of 170 points

    • Finish every test chamber in Chapter 1 of "Portal Proficiency".

Refer to "Convoyability 30" for more information.

    • Finish every test chamber in Chapter 2 of "Portal Proficiency".

Refer to "Convoyability 30" for more information.

    • Finish every test chamber in Chapter 3 of "Portal Proficiency".

Refer to "Convoyability 30" for more information.

    • 10 convoys delivered in the Portal Proficiency initiative

Refer to "Convoyability 30" for more information.

    • 20 convoys delivered in the Portal Proficiency initiative

Refer to "Convoyability 30" for more information.

    • 30 convoys delivered in the Portal Proficiency initiative

There are a total of 30 levels in the DLC, split equally across three chapters. Like with the base game, each level must first be completed with the single vehicle, and upon doing so, you'll be able to press to send the convoy of vehicles through. So the construction you build needs to be sturdy enough to support a convoy, which ranges from 4 to 10 vehicles in a row. In many levels, this can be very tricky, not only trying to build a good structure but also figuring out where to place the portals on top of that. Thankfully, there are some great video guides that show viable solutions for every level. I recommend pausing the video after the level number is shown but before the convoy gets sent. This lets you see all the grid lines, and the portals are more visible. As with the base game, you don't need to copy the solutions exactly. Build a similar structure, and then tweak things as needed to avoid anything breaking. Full credit to the creator of the videos.

    • Maximum amount of portals successfully used in a test run.

This achievement requires that you place all 20 portals (10 pairs) in a single level AND pass through them all to complete the level successfully. You cannot simply place unused portals all around a level to unlock this achievement.

If you follow the solutions above in the "Convoyability 30" achievement solution, you will unlock this achievement naturally upon completing level 16, since the solution provided utilizes all 20 portals.

    Secret achievements

    • 10 times tried to start a test run with an uncorrectly placed portal.

The game lets you place portals on any flat surface, but if the portal isn't positioned in a valid spot, you'll get a red highlighted error when you try to run the level. Having a portal overlap a floor/ceiling too far is the easiest way to make progress towards this achievement. Simply move a portal too far over the ground, and attempt to start the level, then repeat nine more times to unlock this achievement.

    • First job for the Condolence Letter Delivery Fleet provided.

This achievement will unlock upon starting the first level of the DLC.

    • 50 test vehicles destroyed in "Portal Proficiency"

This is a cumulative achievement that requires a total of 50 vehicles to be destroyed, either by falling in acid or exploding from being shot by a turret. In my experience, progress on the achievement tracked only increased when I had completed the level successfully after destroying some vehicles. So if you don't unlock this achievement naturally as you work on completing all 30 levels, load up any completed level (in the DLC only) and remove anything above acid. Destroy multiple vehicles, and then put the piece back to finish the level successfully.
