Introduction:
Welcome to Bullet Beat, a very simplistic shoot-em-up game where the enemies pulse to the beat in the background. There are only ten levels and they are very short. You can even play them on the easiest difficulty, where you have a massive amount of health and barely take any damage, making this a very easy game to complete. The base game achievements require a quick playthrough of the campaign and then building up a large combo, which is best done in Endless Hell mode. It's highly unlikely this game will take you more than an hour, so let's get started.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Of the few game modes available, start with Campaign. You can play all of the levels on Casual difficulty and still unlock all achievements, so do so. You will have a huge health bar (displayed across the bottom edge of the screen) and will barely take any damage. Each level is quite short and simple, especially in the beginning. The main thing to do is focus on getting powerups, as they stack and can make you very OP, especially once you start shooting in multiple directions. You'll become essentially unstoppable.

The last three levels have boss fights that are a little more involved. However, if you're playing on Casual you can tank the damage that you receive from touching the bosses and just stay next to them shooting at them until they die. A video guide of the campaign can be found in Level 8-3 (50G). While it doesn't show the entirety of every level, it shows enough, including the bosses, to easily get you through all stages. Take particular note of the final boss, whose mechanics and everything can be ignored and killed by just sitting "inside" the center part of him and shooting it until he dies. Your health will last long enough for you to kill him before he kills you.

After you're done with the campaign, you may have reached a 500 combo for the related achievement but it's highly unlikely you'll reach a combo of 1000 during the campaign. This combo is much easier to achieve in Endless Hell mode, which is part of a free title update, so it should be available to you when you start the game. Endless Hell mode quickly becomes absolute chaos in terms of the number of enemies, but more enemies means more powerups. Stay on the bottom of the screen moving back and forth and focus on collecting powerups rather than concerning yourself where enemies are. The powerups will ensure you are constantly killing enemies all over the screen, and you'll be getting health pickups as well to keep you alive. It will only take a few minutes to rack up a combo of 1000 with this method and doesn't really require any skill or strategy.

Note that the third title update requires a combo of 3500 for the final achievement, so while you're playing Endless Hell, continue on past 1000 until you reach 3500. This should only take a few more minutes to reach, and will complete Title Update 3 in the process.

Title Update 1 DLC

The first title update adds Endless Mode, along with a few related achievements, and three more achievements for combos (which will be automatically unlocked as you reach a combo of 1000 in the base game). Endless Mode is exactly that, where you will have level after level of standard and boss enemies to fight, just like the campaign, except one level follows after the previous one and there is obviously no end. It's as easy as the campaign though, so you just need to play it until you reach level 20 to unlock the final achievement. This should pose no problems after the campaign and Endless Hell modes.

Title Update 2 DLC

The second title update adds another new mode: Endless Hell. This mode is exactly what it sounds like - endless waves of enemies who are present in chaotic amounts. However, more enemies means more powerups, which means you'll be able to destroy enemies quicker and in a wider range around the screen. The initial rampup will be a bit chaotic but once you start amassing powerups it quickly becomes very easy to stay alive. You'll need to play until level 10 (essentially wave 10) to unlock the final achievement in this title update. Along the way you will unavoidably amass a massive combo because of the huge amount of enemies on the screen (which means you'll likely finish off the base game combo achievements and all achievements in the third title update too). So if you reach level 10 and haven't reached a combo of 3500 yet, keep at it to finish off the following title update as well.

Title Update 3 DLC

The third title update doesn't add anything except five new achievements which task you with reaching huge combos: starting at 1500 and all the way up to 3500. This new threshold, however, should pose no problems in Endless Hell mode. In fact, you'll likely finish off this title update inadvertently while reaching level 10 in Endless Hell mode for the second title update's achievements. Use the same strategy as above for the base game and the second title update to finish off all of the achievements in this title update relatively quickly and easily.

Conclusion:
Bullet Beat is actually one of the more fun Xitilon games. It's a very easy and casual shmup that is extremely forgiving and easy to play. The achievements will come flying at you as you cruise through each of the three modes, and this completion will end up being over before you know it. Enjoy the completion and the huge increase in gamerscore.

All ten levels of the campaign can be played consecutively, although you strangely get kicked back to the main menu after every level. As noted in the roadmap, difficulty has no impact on achievements, so feel free to play on Casual. You will have a massive health bar (displayed barely visibily across the entire bottom edge of the screen) and you barely take any damage from enemies. Each level consists of shooting your way through various enemies until you reach a boss fight at the end. Enemies will randomly drop powerups, and these are key to making the levels very easy. Pick up all of the powerups you see, but the ones that make you shoot additional bullets or diagonal bullets will allow you to tear through the enemies and the boss.

The only other additional "strategies" to speak of are for the bosses at the end of the game. The boss in 8-1, for example, can easily be defeated by just sitting below him, between his two legs, and firing up at him nonstop until he's dead. The final boss, on 8-3, normally requires an annoying approach of waiting for the missile to be shot at you and sitting at the boss to make him shoot himself with his own missiles. This can be very tedious. A much faster method on Casual difficulty is to just sit right on top of the center part of him and shoot at it until he dies. You will take damage the entire time, but he will die before you run out of health. This shortens the boss fight considerably.

The following video, courtesy of Achievement Land, shows all levels in the campaign (not in their entirely, but briefly enough to show how they work). It also demonstrates both boss strategies I mentioned above. Refer to it if need be for any campaign levels, but the game is easy enough that you likely won't need to waste time watching a video before you play through it.
  • Get the 500 combo!

Refer to Combo 1000 (120G) for more information.
  • Get the 1000 combo!

Note that, while the base game achievements require combos of 500 and then 1000, the first title update has achievements for 250 and 666, and the third title update has achievements from 1500 all the way up to 3500. As a result, use the strategy below but don't stop when you reach a combo of 1000 for this achievement. Continue on until you reach a combo of 3500.

By far, the easiest method of getting extremely high combos is to play Endless Hell mode. There is a nonstop massive swarm of enemies coming in from the top of the screen, meaning it's virtually impossible to lose your combo as long as you keep shooting. On top of that, there will be powerups galore, meaning you'll be shooting in multiple directions hitting enemies everywhere, allowing your combo to shoot up at an incredible rate. Because you'll be getting health powerups too, you'll be able to survive plenty long to get a high enough combo for all related achievements. No real strategy is necessary; just hang out near the bottom of the screen, strafing back and forth, and focus on picking up powerups rather than worry about where enemies or bosses are. They will get shot unavoidably.

The following video demonstrates this strategy and how fast and easy it is to rack up a huge combo without much effort. Full credit to its creator.

  • You have completed level 20 endless mode

Endless mode is exactly what is sounds like: wave after wave (called levels, even though the mode takes place in one continuous fashion) of enemies comes at your from the top of the screen and you need to survive as long as possible. It plays essentially the same way as Campaign mode, so if you've already completed the campaign you should have no problems progressing far enough into Endless Mode to reach level 20. Always grab the powerups as they make the game so much easier, but try to focus fire on the bigger enemies and bosses to get rid of them as fast as possible to finish the level, rather than waste time on the smaller enemies.

If you prefer a video reference for whatever reason, the video guide in Level 8-3 (50G) shows an abbreviated run of Endless Mode (after Campaign mode) to show what to expect and how easy it is to progress far enough for this achievement.

DLC: Title Update 2

There are 5 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Level 10 Completed in Endless Hell

Endless Hell mode is a step up from Endless Mode: endless enemies in the same wave fashion (again called levels), but there are a massive amount of enemies, as expected by the name. Fortunately, more enemies means more powerups, and since powerups make you incredibly powerful, they should constantly be your top priority. Don't even focus on enemies and where they are, or trying to shoot them. Focus entirely on scooping up all of the powerups around the center of the area and the enemies will die without even trying before your bullets will be shooting out in various directions. Hang out near the bottom and center of the screen, only venturing up or to the side to grab clusters of powerups. Staying in the center maximizing the impact of your bullets. You then simply need to survive long enough to reach level 10, which should be no problem since you'll be grabbing tons of health powerups along with everything else.

If you prefer a video reference for whatever reason, the video guide in Level 8-3 (50G) shows an abbreviated run of Endless Hell (after Campaign mode) to show what to expect and how easy it is to progress far enough for this achievement.

Additionally, there are achievements for reaching combo levels starting at 100 all the way up to 3500. This is the best place to get them all. It's virtually impossible to reach level 10 without getting a combo up to 3500, but if you do, keep at it until you get all of the combo achievements so you don't need to play through again.
