Introduction:
Cat Quest II is a 2D open-world action-RPG set in a fantasy realm of cats and dogs. Under threat from a continuing war between the cats of Felingard and the advancing dogs of the Lupus Empire, CAT QUEST II tells the tail of two kings, brought together against their will, on a journey of paw-some discovery to reclaim their thrones. Play as both a cat and dog as you explore their kingdoms solo or with a friend! Quest in a world filled with magic, curious monsters, and go on a catventure like never before!
Step 1: Complete the Story
You can begin the game on Story difficulty if you prefer, there's no reason to play on anything higher unless you want a challenge. Nothing in the game is missable, so feel free to play through the story leisurely, though doing side-quests and completing any dungeon you come across is a good idea for the experience to keep the main quest on track. Once you complete the story, you'll still have access to the entire map and can then begin working on the lengthy process to getting 100% completion.
Step 2: Complete all Side-Quests and Dungeons / Collect All Equipment
Once you've completed the main quest you'll have access to the entire map and can then begin working on mopping up the rest of the achievements. You need to find and complete every side-quest. These should take you to the rest of the dungeons in the game, so be sure to loot every chest inside those to complete them as you go. This will also give you the majority of the equipment in the game. Once you complete the side-quests on Founders Island II, you will earn the golden key which will allow you to open the golden chests on the world map. These chests will contain the remainder of the game's equipment. Once you have completed every quest, dungeon, and found all gold chests you should have the last of the game's achievements. Congrats!
Conclusion:
Cat Quest II is a very relaxing, enjoyable Action-RPG. The story isn't anything too interesting, but if you have younger kids and want a co-op game to play with them, this is a very good option. With nothing missable and a completion under 15 hours, it's a great choice for achievement hunters as well.
