Welcome to Celeste, an extremely fun and challenging addition to the platformer genre. Celeste is about a girl, Madeline, that wishes to climb a mountain, but she is faced with peril along the way. Madeline must overcome many obstacles; hotel owners, mirror ghosts, anxiety, and the mountain itself. Join Madeline in an amazing journey of self discovery and selfies.
Celeste is a challenging game meant to be played with its intended settings, but, for achievement hunters, all chapters can be completed with Assist Mode on. Assist Mode can be turned on before starting your game and turned off the same way. Once Assist Mode is on, begin a chapter and press start to change your settings. Assist settings will grant you invincibility among other things such as a decreased game speed, infinite dashes and infinite stamina.
Play as you may. For a difficult yet glorified experience, play Celeste in its nature. For a quick and easy completion, enable Assist Mode. No one will know.
Celeste has eight chapters. Each chapter has a B-Side that you can play once collecting a B-Side tape. B-Sides are more challenging and will require much patience if you are playing without Assist Mode. Once all B-sides are complete, you will unlock C-Sides. May the game gods be with you.
However way you decide to play Celeste, good luck and have fun!
