Introduction:
Here you follow the story of Zack, a member of Soldier who wants to become a Soldier 1st class and follow his dreams. With Crisis Core, you get the full story about Zack from what Cloud tries to tell in FF7, and how he comes to show in Midgar at the start wearing Soldier gear.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
In this game the main story is pretty straightforward as it tells you where to go and what to do and displays on screen and on the map. The part where you are to do as you wish is either between chapters or in a certain chapter where you need to complete tasks for the missable achievements.
Crisis Core is littered with a large amount of missable achievements, and if you go past a certain point in each chapter they are related to, then it will require another playthrough to unlock them. As the game is set in chapters, I have linked the missable achievements to the chapter achievement they are unlocked with for ease. I have laid out as best I could the order in which the missable achievements should be unlocked, based on my experience. I recommend reading through each missable achievement when you get to each chapter so you can keep an eye out for them as you progress, ensuring you don't miss any. Refer to the following story-related achievement solutions to see a list of all missable achievements tied to that chapter.
Prologue: Embrace Your Dreams (10G)
Chapter 1: He Wouldn't Betray Us (10G)
Chapter 2: We're Not Monsters (10G)
Chapter 3: Angels Dream of One Thing (10G)
Chapter 4: Where Did Everyone Go? (10G)
Chapter 5: Protect Your SOLDIER Honor (10G)
Chapter 6: Did Genesis Really Die? (10G)
Chapter 7: I May Abandon Shinra (10G)
Chapter 8: I'll Come Visit (10G)
Chapter 9: We'll All Be Heroes (10G)
Chapter 10: Thanks to You, Zack (35G)
Mop-Up:
Following the guide should see you through without difficulty, but I would suggest that if you go for the hard mode achievement, link it with defeating Minerva, as the final boss on hard mode can be difficult if not prepaired, so it's best to grind out some good stats. I have linked a video in SOLDIER of Legend (95G) for an overpowered guide that I took things from.
Conclusion:
I had not played this when it was released on the PSP so it was good to see the story Cloud tells in FF7 but with more detail before the events in Nibelheim. The only part that can prove most difficult is some of the missions if you are not prepaired and aren't following an overpowered guide where you go into missions not meant for your current level.
