Introduction:
Dead Rising 3 is a Launch Title for the Xbox One. Released November 22, 2013, the game has the play pitted against THOUSANDS of the undead with crazy over the top weapons and vehicles and absolute mayhem.

The achievement list is fairly straight forward but time consuming. The game has co op which can make the more tedious aspects of the game more enjoyable. Dead Rising 3 can technically be completed in one playthrough. But two is much easier.

PP Trials Tips

Playthrough One - Completionist:
During this playthrough you are going to want to do every side quest and defeat every Psychopath. This will allow you to not only get every missable achievement for defeating all Psychos but it will also allow you to level up and get closed to Level 50. During this playthrough you want to try to grab as many collectibles and blueprints as possible as they will assist you tremendously. They will also give you more PP to level you up. During your playthrough you will see survivors that you need to save by defeating all of the zombies. They will not join your posse but you will get experience from it. Save 15 survivors and you unlock Man of the People. If you complete every quest that comes up and prioritize the ones that the timer is ticking down fast you will be able to get the entire game done with easily more than a day left on the game timer. That being said, depending on how much exploring you do you may have more or less.

During this playthrough you want to focus on allocating skill points to Life and Melee. These are the two most important Attributes. You will then want to allocate six points to Mechanic and four points to Smarts in order to unlock "Gang Banger." From here you can spread out your skill points however you want, although depending on your play style Ranged may be useless. You will want to make sure you focus on Mechanic though for the kill related achievements. Max that out and you unlock Specialist and your vehicles are indestructible.

Psychopath Tips:
See the individual achievements for specific tips. However there are two extremely important strategies that will make all bosses easy to defeat. The first is to utilize the left thumbstick to roll out of the way and dodge enemy attacks. The other is to always carry a Flame Sword with you. To build this combo weapon you need a Broadsword and Motor Oil. Hitting with X will not do nearly as much damage as Y. Using only Y on a Psychopath will result in them losing one box of health every two hits. Often times this can be such a speedy process that you will not need to eat food, but it’s always nice to have some with you (specifically Orange Juice or Whiskey).

Hopefully by the end of this playthrough you are at least level 30. If you do all quests that come up and save any survivors whenever it’s logical you should be 30-35.

Playthrough Two - Nightmare:
This second playthrough will act as a New Game+ playthrough. This can be done at any level but you want to be at least level 30 and have most of the health upgrades. All of your stats will carry over including blueprints and collectibles. You will still get plenty of skill points for completing levels which will assist you. It is suggested you alwasys keep food on you and multiples of the Flaming Sword and the Guan Do. They are good for bosses and large crowds of zombies respectively. But weapon health does deteriorate faster on Nightmare mode. You want to ignore all quests except for the main ones as you have less time. Because you should have done everything the first time around, it doesn’t matter if you gather survivors or defeat Psychopaths.

This can be done in 3-4 hours if playing with two people (as difficulty is always the same regardless of players) or 5-6 hours solo. What will shave off a lot of time with two players is having one person navigate while the other drives. Unless you have photographic memory you will probably be looking at the map after every other turn.

Miscellaneous:
After your playthroughs are out of the way, your main focus should now be on the many PP Trials and the many kills you need to get for the zombie kill achievements, and the most difficult PP Trial. You can grind anything kill related on chapter three, Start a new game for fun, or join a friend and work on them that way. Anything that you do in co-op carries over to single player and vise versa.

Kill Achievements:
Chances are you only killed about 20,000-30,000 zombies on your first and second playthrough. You will want to go to chapter three to grind out all of your many zombie kills (100,004 for Left 100,004 Dead and roughly 340,000 for "Prestige Hound"). You should have mechanic maxed out which will make your vehicles indestructible (see playthrough one section of Roadmap). Go to a garage and get yourself a Roller Hawg. Travel to the upper left part of the map and what you will see there is a perfect rectangle with no barriers. Drive around this rectangle running over all of the zombies and all remaining kill achievements should unlock after about four hours (though it obviously varies considerably depending on your previous time spent slaughtering the undead). Depending on your ability to do repetitive tasks, you can always switch things up by going on foot and using some awesome crowd-clearing weapons like the Ultimate Shout, Jazz Hands and Mega Man Blaster.

Operation Broken Eagle DLC

Walkthrough:
Go to Untold Stories from the main menu. Select episode one and play on normal. The higher the level you are the easier the DLC will be. But being max level isn’t necessary. This guide is written as if you have all blueprints (this applies to just crafting).

Collectibles can be gathered at any time prior to finishing the DLC and appear on the map. There are 29 ZDC Cameras, 8 Safe Zones, 2 Living Squad Members, and 12 Side Missions. Side missions should be prioritized.

As soon as you have control of the character, walk forward and pick up the rations, gun, and bowie knife. Combined the gun and your knife to make a Sabre Shot. Proceed forward and to the right towards your objective. Kill any zombies that stand in your way. There is a sledgehammer on the right side and other weapons you can pick up, but they won’t be necessary for the most part. When you are about 200 meters away you will get an optional objective to Locate Smith. He will be along the path you are headed. Here you are introduced to Dog Tags. Walk over to the body and press B. This is one of the collectibles that is introduced with this DLC. Walk forward until you enter the metro. Go to the left and kill any zombies in your way. Turn to the right then up the stairs to your left. Follow the path and turn left at the next step of stairs. Follow the path and you will have to fight a few armed men. They are weak enemies and the Sabre Shot is your friend.

The yellow circles with a smaller dot in the middle are ZDC cameras. You need to walk up to them and press B to hack them. The first one is directly behind where you were fighting (1/29). From here on out, all collectibles will be self explanatory unless stated otherwise (eg walk up to them). While traveling to the objective, a side mission to find Hancock will appear in the North Western part of Sunset Hills. All side missions are timed. So it is good to prioritize them, especially if you are a large distance away. A side mission to Locate Brady will pop up when you get close to your objective. Upon reaching the helicopter you will have another side mission pop up to Locate Chang. His Dog Tag will be on a pile of rubble by the helicopter. Now enter the helicopter and pick up the Flight Data Recorder. Now destroy the four white containers in and behind the crashed helicopter. One of them will drop a Larvae Container. Now head over to the motel and infect it. Achievement Unlocked: You are now able to infect Safe Zones. There are 8 in total (7 remaining) and they are marked on the map with yellow circle with a black cross inside. A fourth side mission will pop up to Locate Han. Do this before you go to the Ingleton Taxi Company. Now by the Garage in the South West part of Ingleton there will be a friendly soldier, Sunshine, standing on a bus by a car dealership shooting. Climb up and a bit of dialogue will commence and you have a new ally (½). Then travel to the Taxi Company area and close the gate. Continue to follow the prompts and kill all of the enemies, utilizing explosives in the environment to your advantage. Now travel to the roof as instructed. The building on the left of where you entered will have a stairway you can use. Now grab a flare gun and shoot it off. Achievement Unlocked: Cleaning House.

Now travel to the next objective. Do not let Sunshine into the car that you take; drive off without him instead and he will teleport to a safehouse and be out of your hair. While you travel to the next objective a Side Mission will pop up to Locate Dickson. When you reach your objective there will be a blueprint in the back of a military truck. Pick that up, craft it (auto shotgun and chainsaw found next to it), then get into the Armadillo/your objective. Now travel back to the camp without destroying it. Along your travels, after rerouting to get around the roadblock you will find a soldier named The Dutch in South Almuda. Go ahead and rescue him (2/2). He will be on the left inside a Deli. Achievement Unlocked: Lived to Fight Again. You can either keep him as an Ally or drive off and have him return to the safe zone. Now when you are getting close to your objective you will have a Side Mission pop up to Locate Tucson. Depending on the health of the Armadillo you can do that now or after you return it. Achievement Unlocked: Delivery Man.

Your next objective is to Investigate the Stage. Taking the freeway, when reaching the off-ramp you will have a two new Side Missions to Locate Wakowski and Locate Haverman. Find both of them before continuing the story. Then go to the waypoint and kill off the President’s Forces. Pick up the GPS Tracker on the stage. Achievement Unlocked: Eagles has Landed. You will then get a side mission to Locate Rodriguez.

At this time you should go and get all of the remaining collectibles, save houses, and one more Side Mission. To get the Locate Jefferson side mission to pop up if it hasn’t already, travel to the south part of South Almuda. Achievement Unlocked: Rest in Peace.

[Now would be an ideal time to clean up any missing achievements you have (collectibles) as the DLC will end once you meet the President. Collectibles carry over to a New Game in the DLC, but doing them now is far easier]

Now go Track the President. You will get another Side Mission to Locate Collins. After you find him proceed up the mansion, fighting off the President’s forces. A combo firearm is ideal here. Go to the front door and you will see it’s locked. Then travel around to the back. When you kill the final enemy, he will drop the Mansion Room Key. Pick it up and open the door. Enjoy the cutscene and Achievement Unlocked: Duty or Death.

Fallen Angel DLC

Go to Untold Stories from the main menu. Select Episode 2 and play on Normal. The higher the level you are the easier the DLC will be. But being max level isn’t necessary. This guide is written as if you have all blueprints (this applies to just crafting). Five of the achievements are story related.

Four of the achievements are collectible related. Collectibles can be gathered at any time prior to finishing the DLC and appear on the map. There are 24 survivors in 8 groups of 3 (See "Guardian Angel" for more information), 29 ZDC Cameras, 25 Medical Supplies, and 40 Propaganda Posters that must be handled before completing the DLC.

Walkthrough:
You start off in in the back of the Sunset High School as an Illegal named Angel. You’re first mission is to investigate the yacht. Take this opportunity to look at your map. You will see two different types of yellow circles. One with a cross (ZDC Posters) and one that’s just a circle (Med Packs). All of them appear on the map so as soon as you see fit it is advised to collect as many of them as possible (if not all of them), you will however need some sort of pyro weapon to burn all propaganda posters. There is no chapter select so if you do not collect them all before the DLC ends you’ll have to play through it again.

Now before hopping over the fence, you should grab some of the spiked maces found in the red container to the left. You will notice Doug shooting at zombies when you hop the fence. Don’t worry about him, he is helping you can does not count towards any collectibles. Now either hop on the sports bike on the other side of the field or find another mode of transportation and head to the yacht. Fight your way through the yacht and pick up the medical supplies. Next make your way to South Almuda. On your right side you will see a blueprint for the Shock Blaster and the supplies you need to make it nearby (Defib and Assault Rifle). This can be used to burn the propaganda posters with one shot.

As soon as you get to the end of the freeway you will have Four Side Quests come up instructing you to destroy 7 or 8 cameras per city district. These are not timed. While exploring South Almuda you will get a pop up saying Vernon, Katerina, and Nora have died. These survivors do NOT count for the achievement. When you search the safe zone you will have to look for clues. Use the weapons locker first. You should take one or two Flamethrowers and only use this for the Propaganda Posters. Next, Inspect the bodies. You will be prompted to chase after Winnie after inspecting the right bodies. Talk to Winnie. Achievement Unlocked: Talk it Out
Next head back to the school. While in the river area you will have a side quest to “Prevent the Execution.” This is your first group of survivors. Simply kill the guards without any survivors dying; firearms make this easier. Kill the one guard then untie the survivors (?). Now depending on your path you will encounter 7 more of these side quests. Now follow the waypoints through a roundabout path to the school and fight your way through to the objective. Achievement Unlocked: Hall Monitor

From this point on just follow the objectives and get all collectibles. It would be arbitrary to spell out each part of the remainder of the DLC as all achievements from this point on can be unlocked with ease. Right now is the ideal time to get them all in Sunset Hills however.

After meeting up with Doug you will be instructed to go to Ingleton. Get all collectibles in the area and any others that you may have missed in South Almuda.

Upon reaching the Feastmobile you will have to get 3 weapon caches. The feast mobile has health but it will not blow up if you have the vehicle invincibility perk. Upon returning it to Doug you will get an achievement. Achievement Unlocked: Well Stocked.

Next you will have to Meet Doug at the trap location. Make sure you have all other achievements before doing this! Achievement Unlocked: Shakedown The final part of the DLC is to Investigate the Lab. Simply shoot any enemies that are in your way. Achievement Unlocked: Angel Gets Her Wings

Additional Info:
A couple missions through the DLC, South Almuda will appear to be blocked off. You can however get through by going under the highway and on the right side there is an opening large enough to fit a motorcycle through. This is the only way back into that part of the map after it gets blocked off.

Chaos Rising DLC

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Difficulty doesn't effect any of the achievements so feel free to choose either normal mode or nightmare mode. The choice is yours.

After the opening cutscene ends you find yourself locked in a jail cell playing Hunter, the former leader of a notorious biker gang. Innocent and framed, he sets out to seek revenge on those that put him there using the zombie outbreak as a means of escape.

After taking control of Hunter you are tasked with locating a key to the jails parking garage so you can make good your escape. For this you will need to head upstairs and locate the key on the corpse of an officer. On your way upstairs you'll find multiple items lying around (and with blueprints from your base game playthrough) you should be able to make three to four good combo weapons, including the Mauler. After fighting off the zombies surrounding the officer you need to head back downstairs to the jail cells where you started but now use the key and head through the double doors. This leads you down past the armoury (which is unfortunately locked) and to the parking garage. Fight your way to the police car and leave the jail in style.

You'll now find yourself in Central City, free to explore. It is at this point you will notice an 'Emergency Phone' next to the jail. You have to destroy twenty of these in total throughout Los Perdidos. Across the road (noted by a + on your map) is your first 'Special Reserve Whiskey' collectible. Now is a good time to roam around Central City destroying all five of the zones phones and collecting all the whiskey.

After finishing with the Central City collectibles, you're tasked with heading to the bridge. You heard on the radio that a biker gang is based there causing trouble and shooting down aircraft, which can only mean one thing. Revenge. On your way to the bridge you will have passed a bottle of whiskey in Central Storage. This is behind a locked door and is story related so ignore it for now.
When you arrive at the barricade, you find that Torque has been replaced by Spider as the head of the gang. Flanked by his three lieutenants Spider refuses to engage with you unless you bring him his favourite tipple, a bottle of Special Reserve whiskey. Time to head to Sunset Hills.

Before going to the story marker and collecting the whiskey for Spider, now is a great time to get all collectibles in Sunset Hills. Once again you want to destroy all emergency phones and retrieve all bottles of whiskey. No collectibles here are locked away so it's a perfect chance to get them all. Retrieve the whiskey from the floor of the store, and head back to Spider. Thankfully he's in a talkative mood, and lets you in to engage in a meaningful and mature conversation about the gangs leadership....wait...it was a double cross. Spider and his boys will have set a trap for you, simply survive the wave of enemies to emerge victorious and....wait...you just got shot.

You'll wake up in a dumpster behind the safehouse in Sunset Hills with no health and no weapons. Jump out of the dumpster and replenish your life bar with the vodka lying nearby. Collect two storage boxes (and other items lying around) and combo them into a junk ball. You now decide its time to go find Torque, who no doubt will be at Ironside Cycles just down the road. Fight your way down the busy high street and enter the motorcycle showroom. Torque will explain a little about whats been happening since you've been in jail including how Spider ousted him from power. Between the two of you, revenge seems like the best course of action. For this, a most cunning plan is needed. One involving two motorcycles and a sportsbike. You'll have to collect these three bikes and return them to Torques showroom. All three can be found in Sunset Hills, but if you are struggling to locate one you can always hike to the garage and spawn one there before returning to Torque.

Torque explains that these three bikes are all well and good, but a base motorcycle is needed. Luckily, Torque has a custom chopper locked in Central Storage that will fit the bill perfectly. It's at this point that the DLC's one and only side mission will open up. Twelve custom motorcycles are placed around Los Perdidos and Torque would like them all delivered to the showroom. This is an ideal time to take a break from the story mode and finish off the bulk of the collectibles. Start off by collecting all custom choppers located in Sunset Hills and Central City. Then head to Ingleton (take the freeway from Sunset) and collect the bikes here. While in Ingleton, destroy all five emergency phones and collect the special whiskey. You'll notice one bottle of special whiskey locked away in Chaneys Garage that you can't get too. Don't panic about this, it's story related and it will be the last bottle we collect. After finishing off all custom choppers, phones and whiskey bottles in Ingleton that just leaves South Almuda to do. The best route is to go through Central and along the southern bridge. Destroy all phones and collect all whiskey bottles here in South Almuda before collecting all custom bikes and return them to Torque. That will pop two of the games collectible achievements and just leave us with two whiskey bottles remaining for the final one.

Returning back to the story, head to Central Storage to pick up the base chopper. Collect the key off a zombie to open the shutter for one of the whiskey bottles we need. Then open the lockup, retrieve the bike and deliver it back to Torque. He will now ask you to wait while he builds his masterpiece, so you need to let about five in game minutes pass before you can return to Torque and collect your prize, the Thrasher. This new DLC vehicle is amazing, and probably up there with the Rollerhawg when it comes to speed and destruction. Torque will now task you with killing the three lieutenants that ridiculed you early and collecting their gang rings. You'll now have to go to Sunset Hills and kill the first miniboss. He's located in the Mayors Mansion. Kill his guards on your way up, before taking him out with a ranged gun. Any shotgun, Sabre Shot or ZAR works perfectly here. Collect his gang ring and move to the next boss in Ingleton. This one isn't really a boss as such, as he just runs away. Head upstairs in the apartment block to find Snake. He will climb out of a window and try to escape. Just jump out after him and shoot him a couple of times to claim your second ring. The final boss is in South Almuda at the warehouse. Cannons also tries to run away, so take out the guards and give chase onto the roof. A few shots in the back with a shotgun will give you your third gang ring. Time to return to Torque in Sunset Hills to show off your handiwork.

Upon returning to Ironside Cycles you will find Torque bleeding out on the floor. After informing you Spider was the culprit, Torque gives you one last surprise, locked away in a garage in Ingleton. You then give Torque a 'bikers burial' before moving onto Chaneys garage in north west Ingleton. This is the locked door we couldn't enter before. So enter it now to find your surprise, the RollerHawg. Make sure you collect your final bottle of whiskey lying on the workbench for your final collectible achievement.

This is now the point of no return for the DLC. If you have missed any of the collectibles, now is your last chance to obtain them.

Return back to the barricade at the bridge to finally exact vengeance on Spider. As with all of the DLC bosses, any firearm will best him in no time. Simply finish him off, watch the final cutscene, and await the arrival of a Mr. Nick Ramos for dinner....

The Last Agent
(Full G&RM found HERE)

Introduction to The Last Agent DLC:
Welcome to the Dead Rising 3 Last Agent DLC Achievement Guide & Roadmap, the fourth piece of DLC for Capcoms zombie slaying adventure set in Los Perdidos. In the following guide I'll walk you through how to obtain all nine of the DLC's achievements to add another 90g to your gamerscore and hopefully your 1390g on Dead Rising 3. The DLC was released worldwide on March 18th 2014 for £7.99/$9.99. Five of the nine achievements are story related and unmissable with the remaining four tied to collectibles.

To start the DLC, from the main menu you need to select 'Untold Stories'. The Last Agent DLC will start when you select 'episode four.'

In episode four, you control Brad Park, a ZDC agent trapped within the city limits of Los Perdidos, trying to ascertain the truth behind the outbreak. You will follow him on his journey to uncover the truth, and exact justice. The DLC features five new weapons including 'The Slagshot', a new combo weapon in 'The Glaciator' and a new combo vehicle, the 'ZDC Control Vehicle'.

Collectibles:
In the DLC there are four different kinds of collectibles: Biohazards, Bootlegged Zombrex, Survivors and ZDC Chips. These can be collected at any point during the story before finishing the last mission. Feel free to collect these as you play, or wait until later in the story and do them all at once. There is an optimal time to collect these when all are available indiciated in the walkthrough below. This is because you need to progress to a certain stage in the story before they are all avaialble to collect.

In total there are 120 collectibles in the DLC.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Step 1 - Story mode:
Difficulty doesn't effect any of the achievements so feel free to choose either normal mode or nightmare mode. The choice is yours.

After the opening cutscene you will come to your senses after your encounter with Nick. After talking on your radio, Cora from the hospital informs you there is a van containing Zombrex is located nearby and the hospital has nearly ran out of supplies. Time to go get some! Head to your marker indicating the supply van, get in and make your way to the hospital in Central. It's at this point you will notice you first kind of collectible; Survivors. Similar to the base game and other DLC's, survivors are members of the public surrounded by Zombies marked on your map when you get close. Simply kill all zombies to free the survivor, but please note survivors in this DLC can't join you and can't be summoned from safehouses. Feel free to either collect the survivors as you play through the story, or wait until later on in the game.

When you are at the hospital you must speak to Cora, the doctor. She will inform you that ZDC chips seem to be malfunctioning and she'd like a small sample - twenty in fact. You will need to locate a pacifier weapon in order to do this, so head to your waypoint and get the weapon from on the metro track in the back of a truck. Once you have the pacifier, you will need to head to Sunset Hills and kill the kings with the pacifier, dropping their chips. Collect all of them and return to Cora to complete the mission.

You will now be asked to investigate the gunshots in Central. Head over there and defeat the three bikers. The survivors (who do not count towards any achievements) will

inform you of other bikers terrorising local residents. Head off to the waypoint markers and kill all six bikers. The survivors you save here also do not count towards any achievements. Return to the hospital again to dispose of the three biker leaders, unlocking 'Out With The Bad'.

Cora will task you with another fetch mission - go to south Ingelton and get some bootlegged Zombrex and bring it back to her. A simple case of fetch and return. When you have returned the Zombrex, this opens up the twenty Zombrex collectibles in the game. Cora now needs you to find Nelson, a hacker who may have information on why the Zombrex chips have failed. Head over to the dance studio in Sunset Hills (you have to enter via the roof, dropping down onto the girder).

Clear out the dance studio of zombies and speak to him to unlock 'Hacking the Hacker'. Take him with you to find the things he needs to locate the jamming signal. Head to the downed chopper in Ingelton to retrieve the Spectrum Analyser. Further south in Ingleton is the computer parts he needs. Just a simple case of heading to the waypoint and picking up both items. It is in this shop you will find the blueprint to the new combo weapon, the 'Glaciator'. To finish off this little section, go with Nelson to Triple XXX in South Almuda.

Once in the control room, Nelson will tell you he needs time to set up and also point out that the biohazards need burning. He will ask you to return later. This is the perfect time to get all collectibles in the game, as all four sets are now fully available. Make sure you have a fire weapon for the biohazards, but don't fear, near Nelson is a box of Slagshot guns.

You now want to go to each of the four zones in turn, collecting everything in all four zones. This will unlock "Bootleg Operator," "Ashes to Ashes," "Bag of Chips," and "Sworn to Protect."

When you return to Nelson, he's located the source of the signal. A house in Sunset Hills. Head over to your waypoint, watch the cutscene and notice the outfit change. This will unlock 'Sourced'. After heading through the subway to the trainyard, we will learn the location of the military base, which as we know is at the taxi rank in Ingleton. So, you guessed it, head over there.

When you get there, you will need to plant your chip on an old friend. The Spec Ops will exit the base, and you can either sneak in or blast in. The choice is yours! Head up onto the roof so you can jump across and meet another familiar face, unlocking 'Kane's Last Words'. Now we know the truth and have the evidence to proove it. All we need to do is escape.

This is now the final mission. From the hospital we must collect survivors in Sunset Hills before returning to South Almuda to collect Nelson. Then just drive your ZDC truck to the diner where it all started in Ingleton to unlock'Agent of Justice'.

Conclusion to The Last Agent DLC:
After following the above walkthrough you should now have all nine of the DLC achievements. If you have missed any, you will have to replay the DLC again to mop up as there is no chapter select available.

DLC: Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha
(Full G&RM HERE)

Introduction to Super Ultra:
This DLC is an interesting one. You must fight through twenty different trials across the four districts in a wacky four player coop Capcom fan service. Every achievement in this DLC is easy and enjoyable to unlock. So grab some friend’s and you’ll have a blast.

Walkthrough for Super Ultra:
You will need to complete all four Districts with an S rating and unlock all 20 costumes. To unlock each costume there is a set of requirements that must be met, but they are worth it. Each new tier of costume is better than the previous so the better the costumes, the easier the ‘S’ rating. There are also eight Arcade Cabinets. They can be found easily without a guide, but one is still provided below.

Besides the costumes and S ratings, everything else SHOULD unlock naturally (Except "Powerup Sampler!" due to the Golden Hashishi). You will kill way more than 10,000 zombies and gain way more than 100,000 Zenny (the currency to buy costumes).

There are three achievements that must be unlocked over Xbox Live. They are "All Four Won," "Team Player," and "Champion." You can use your own friends, XBA’s Sessions system, or by just searching for open lobbies.

Conclusion to Super Ultra:
This is a fun and easy DLC that can be done without the help of friends, but it’s quite boring Solo. Find several people to play with and it’s much more enjoyable and the achievements will be easier.

Conclusion to Main Game:
Dead Rising 3 is by no means a short game, but it’s fun and downright crazy. If you follow these steps you should be able to get the game completed without too much difficulty. The game is by no means difficult and it’s even easier in co-op.

*Only one achievement requires you to play with other people ("Be a Dick"), however achievements only unlock when connected to Xbox Live. Technically all 50 achievements are online. But you only need a second player for one of them.

There are 115 achievements with a total of 1860 points

  • Collect 5 blueprints.

    See "Master Builder."

  • Collect 25 blueprints.

    See "Master Builder."

  • Pick up 250 different weapons.

Pick up EVERYTHING.. you don't need to keep it, simply just pick it up and drop it again. My 250th item was a hair dryer, so anything goes with this one.

  • Collect 100 different clothing items.

Loot every piece of clothing you come across in the game, from shoes, to hats, to funny costumes. There are tons of clothing stores scattered throughout Los Perdidos, and your job is to simply tap near them to equip them. Once you have it on and the item has been saved to your safe house clothes closet (which you can use as an in-game tracker), you can tap again in the same spot to put on whatever you were wearing before.

  • Collect 50 blueprints.

    See "Master Builder."

  • Create 50 combo weapons.

You will probably get this through natural play, but otherwise you will definitely get this through the process involved in getting "Duct Tape Master."

  • Save 1 survivor.

Taylor should be your first survivor and you will encounter him shortly after leaving the diner and getting into the truck at the beginning of the game. You'll go under an overpass and an explosion on your right will blow open a path through a fence. Taylor's survivor icon will immediately appear just beyond the fence. Park the car, or use it to ram zombies, and completely clear the area, for Taylor to say thanks and run off. The achievement will pop once that happens. You'll get another chance about 100 yards down the road when you encounter Jodie, a woman stuck on the back of a semi truck trailer. Clear the area here as well if you somehow failed saving Taylor to get the achievement here (saving survivors is good PP, which is used for leveling, so I recommend saving everybody you come across).

  • Save 15 stranded survivors.

As you cruise around the game you will spot survivors fighting off huge groups of zombies and you will be prompted to help them out by clearing out the zombies. They will usually appear directly in front of you, and a running-man icon with the range to their location and the survivor name will also pop up on the screen to tell you where they are. You will need to find and save at least 15 of these people for the achievement to pop. Most of the survivors are alone, however there are at least two three-person groups that spawn on the freeway in the very middle of the map through the duration of the game. There are far more than 15 survivors that appear, however you might as well free every one you come across if you have the few seconds to clear the area and get yourself some easy PP to level up.

  • Add 5 survivors to the survivor bulletin board.

As you progress through the game you will be tasked with completing side quests that will sometimes give you the option to add survivors to your survivor board to get them as followers. While looking at the side mission menu on the map screen, look to the right of the mission title to see if it has the survivor/running man icon, which means you can get one or more of the people involved in the mission as a follower. While doing these missions, make sure you pay attention because you can still complete the mission without talking to the person long enough to get them to follow you around. You are most likely to overlook survivors that are tied up or trap, which most likely occurs during the Psycho side missions, but keep your eyes open either way.

Note that this only seems to work for the host in a co-op game.

  • Drive 20 different vehicles.

In the same fashion as weapons, you will want to hop into every vehicle you come across to get it sent to your garage for future use, or for combos. Vehicles include everything from taxis, to vans and suvs, to muscle cars and motorcycles to generic sedans.. of course there's a street sweeper and fireworks van too!

See "Master Mechanic" for the combo vehicle list:

    • Forklift (Almuda)
    • Street Cleaner (Central City)
    • Steamroller
    • Backhoe Loader
    • Sports Bike
    • Motorcycle
    • SUV

  • Collect 100 blueprints.

You must find and use all 101 weapon blueprints found in the game, and since a vast majority of the blueprints come with the necessary materials located in the immediate vicinity of the blueprint, it's a good idea to craft the item as soon as you find the blueprint. Thankfully, this game makes catching up with item production a bit simpler for the more advanced weapons as you can use your weapon locker to get the necessary materials to craft the combo weapons while you're sitting safely in your base.

All combo weapon blueprints, in the order they appear on the blueprints menu. Don't forget that if you happen to overlook one you can check through the combo weapons lists in your locker to see what isn't there, and then make that!

  • Complete Chapter 2.

In this chapter you will find yourself fighting through a zombie filled sewer, into a zombie filled graveyard, and finally into a morgue full of even more zombies. You'll have a handful of side missions to do as well, but no Psycho this time around, but as night falls you'll have a ton of PP coming your way so you might as well make this Chapter last. The chapter will end once you drive the hearse to the Diamond Panty.

  • Complete Chapter 4.

Chapter four has you doing favors for Red and making multiple trips to the Central City PD if you bother with the side missions. You will also come across a few rather crazy people who are just short of becoming full-fledged Psychos themselves. The achievement will pop once you drive the car loaded with gas to the hangar.

  • Defeat Zhi.

This crazy martial arts wanna-be is the first Psycho you will come across, and you'll get a notification that he's around very shortly after reaching Rhonda's Garage (Garden of Peace mission). I recommend either grabbing a bit of food or boosting your health once or twice to make life easier, and you'll also want a medium-long range weapon because he uses a spear which can make close melee combat a bit difficult. The best bet, and the method I used, is to grab the Dragon Punch plans in the nearby dojo and use the motorcycle engine + boxing gloves to craft them prior to starting the fight. Once the fight starts, rotate and to do a dashing punch and then a vertical spin punch when the dash draws you close enough to him. Continue using the spin punch until he backs away, or keep rotating the two since the dash attack has a pretty high chance of staggering him. Overall, he's not too complicated, since he's pretty much just a straight up melee fight (or shoot him a lot fight).

Looking back, there are actually a number of handguns and shotguns laying around, but it's really fun to punch him with spikey fists. Either way, be sure to pick up the key he drops, and the Guan Dao as well.

  • Lusty

    25

    Defeat Dylan.

You'll get the mission for Dylan (Play Time) shortly after dealing with Darlene, and this time around you need to be alone, which means you'll have to lose your followers. If you're going straight to the mission, you can easily do this by just hopping on a motorcycle and riding off, and they'll be sent back to the safe house in a few seconds. The fight is very straight forward, and I would recommend two to three guns depending on your skill with ranged weapons and the amount of ammo they carry (I used an LMG and most of a Sgt's Pistol). Dylan will focus on damaging his two play pals with his fiery wiener, meaning you need to simply out damage him with whatever weapons you have - since he sort of fans his fire around, it's simply safer and easier to be at range, though melee is possible as well. He will launch fireballs at you from time to time that do rather minimal damage, so there isn't too much to worry about when this fight will only take about a minute to complete.

  • Defeat Albert.

During chapter three you will be tasked with burning supplies in Almuda, where you will encounter Albert, the trippy boss that represents Greed. The entire fight is rather indirect, as you wander around the halls waiting for one of the hallucinations to get attacked by the real Albert, who will come up behind them and drug them, then use his saw on them. You must avoid hitting the wrong people, as fake Alberts do quite a bit of damage, and you will be doing none to the real Albert, thus you must wait until you either see the real Albert trying to drug and dismember someone, or wait until you hear the screams of his victims. Then you rush Albert and pummel him with your fists, or throw organ containers at him. Continue the process, occasionally shaking your control to avoid getting attacked by him, and you'll soon defeat him.

Note that there is a possibility that Albert will flip out (..further..) and the camera will show him yelling at you with the prompt over his head. He will then start actively going after you, allowing you to spot him easier.

  • Defeat Theodore.

Once you reach chapter five you'll have time to explore as usual and soon enough you'll be offered the mission "Remotely Helpful," which sends you off to the NE part of Sunset Hills to deal with the Mayor's son, and your next Psycho nemesis, Sloth. If you've been keeping up with your side quests you may know that he has the key to the Central City Police Department's armory, so between that and this achievement, killing him is pretty rewarding.

This fight is considerably different from other boss fights thus far because you never actually fight him, but instead you must destroy security power boxes throughout the house while dealing with his RC helicopter drones that will be following you around and shooting at you. I highly recommend bringing at least one follower with a gun (preferrably Assault Rifle), and they will deal with drones with their auto-aim while you run around the house blowing up the security system. Once the security system is down, head into the basement and the "fight" is over.

  • Defeat Jherii.

Very soon after starting chapter five you will get a call about the Look in the Mirror mission, where you will be introduced to the next Psycho, Jherii. She is a pretty powerful opponent, go figure, and she seems to be rather resistant to ranged weapons, but not ranged attacks from melee weapons, or of course melee attacks - though getting in close range can be pretty painful if she decides to swing her barbell. Staying just out of range of her and being sure to utilize to roll should keep you alive without much issue.

  • Defeat Darlene.

Near the end of chapter three you'll get a side mission called All You Can Eat, which will send you back to Inglewood. Stock up on whatever weapons you want, bring some followers too, and head to the buffet for a relatively easy fight. Darlene will troll around the room on her scooter, trying to charge you and stab your with her fork primarily, and she will also go devour food to recover her health. While she is doing this, you will get a prompt to start whacking her, which will then make her spin around in circles for a few seconds, allowing you to unload on her with your best weapons. This process will continue about three times, depending on how much she manages to heal during her eating phase.

  • Defeat the envious survivor.

This will most likely be the first thing you do after entering chapter seven. A certain student of sorts has decided it is time for the learner to replace the master, and he has kidnapped a woman to help prove it. He has quite a bit of hit points, but he is also rather easily stunned by melee attacks allowing multiple hit combos to quickly chip away at his health. You can also choose to combo a weapon during combat to distract him, but I didn't find it necessary with my follower there helping me out a bit. The achievement will pop no matter what you decide to do with him after the fight.

    50

    Reach level 50.

Due to the insane quality of the upper-tier combo weapons, leveling in this game can be incredibly easy once you unlock them, and the more powerful combo vehicles. The most important rule, when leveling, is to combo. Massive combos are more easily attainable by the super combo weapons (which is why they're awesome), and increasing their durability through books and skills can allow you to carry combos for longer periods of time. To capitalize on your combos you should also use special execution moves to get a boosted score for a single kill. Your list of execution can be found in the player menu of the game, with the initial one being the basic or weapon specific execution. All of the executions can be conducted when the prompt pops up on the left side of the screen, next to the combo, and they should be used on the tougher enemies to make sure they don't get in your way during the combo, and also because they give the most PP and will utilize the current multiplier the best (these include King Zombies, Prisoner Zombies, Football Zombies, etc.). When going on PP gaining runs, try to keep as many combo weapons on you as possible (use the list below for the best weapons and locations, rated by their power level).

    Note:
The locations aren't static, meaning if you were to say pickup the blueprint listed for Ultimate Mecha Dragon before any of the other Mecha Dragon blueprints, you will get the Dragon Blade blueprint first. You would need to collect the other three Mecha blueprints in any order to find the Ultimate Mecha Dragon as the last one.

-Dragon Blade - House NW corner of map
--Flame Mecha Dragon - In tunnel near flame trial in South Ingleton
--Mecha Dragon Blade - On top of shack in alley NE of Rhonda's Garage
---Ultimate Mecha Dragon - Roof across from garage. Enter rear of Northern building through back alley.

-Reaper - Alley West of garage
--Fire Reaper - In parking lot/courtyard of apartment building NE of Rhonda's Garage
--Death Mask Reaper - Melee weapon shop North of garage
---Ultimate Grim Reaper - On top of building next to small park in Ingleton

-Electric Staff - Back alley in SW Almuda
--Electrofire Staff - Fire station in N Almuda
--Electroice Staff - Roof of Almuda Farms, across from bus depot
---Elemental Staff - On top of power grid area in Almuda

-Power Shout - Roof next to Almuda garage
--Electric Shout - Roof of building across from Fire Station in N Almuda
--Super Shout - Roof of Almuda auto body shop that has a trial and tragic end on it
---Ultimate Shout - Dumpster next to construction site in Almuda

  • Max out a single attribute.

In order to max out a single attribute, you must put as many points in it as possible and then reach level 50 to unlock the final tier, which you must also max out. Don't worry too much about attribute distribution as you will be able to max out all of your skills eventually.

  • Join a Co-op game.

In Dead Rising 3, you have the ability to join another player's game, whether it's your friend's or someone else's. Jumping in and out is as simple as pressing a button, and both players are able to free roam before and after the co-op stuff happens.

Note that co-op has been known to cause issues with people collecting blueprints for the achievements by not properly giving credit to the player.

  • Create every combo weapon.

You must find and use all 101 weapon blueprints found in the game, and since a vast majority of the blueprints come with the necessary materials located in the immediate vicinity of the blueprint, it's a good idea to craft the item as soon as you find the blueprint. • Create every combo vehicle.

There are a total of 11 combo vehicles, many of which are unlocked via the story, one from skills (Mobile Locker) and the remaining are found in the open world alongside the weapon blueprints. For whatever reason this unlocks after creating 10 out of the apparent 11 combo vehicles.

  • Purchase 1 Attribute.

    See "Ladder Climber."

  • Purchase 10 Attributes.

Once you reach Rhonda's garage, you will be able to use attribute points gained by leveling up to purchase attributes in the player section of the menus. Upgrading attributes can increase stats such as damage dealt, and the size of your health pool, and also allow you to be more lenient when combining items for combo weapons, allowing you to use any type of a certain item when crafting the combo weapons.

  • Kill 100,004 zombies.

This can be considerably easier than the kill achievements in the previous games as you have access to some pretty extreme vehicles, such as the Rollerhawg. The frustrating part comes with getting around as the game progresses due to the ever-increasing number of roadblocks, however cruising around Ingleton, which is probably the fastest and simplest place to farm, is still reasonably easy (just watch for randomly spawning propane tanks and gas cans. You will also want to maximize the mechanic skill for invulnerable vehicles (that can still flow over and then blow up, or blow up if you get off of them).

  • Complete 25 PP Trials.

  • Complete all PP Trials.

PP trials are challenge-type tasks that keep track of how many locations you've visited or enemies you've killed, depending on the trial. Some of them are unlocked right off the bat, while others unlock as you reach a certain point in the story or obtain the necessary weapon or vehicle. You will occasionally get progress pop-ups on screen as you complete the trials, and the trials themselves can be found under the "player" portion of the menus. There are generally far too many trials to complete in a single playthrough without extra effort, luckily they carry over between playthroughs, and Chapter select, allowing you to complete them at your leisure post-game along with your other achievements.

Check out my PP Trials list in posts 7 and 8 of my achievement guide (or scroll down if you're already here!) for tips on how to tackle the trickier ones.

  • Kill 72,000 zombies.

    See "Left 100,004 Dead."

  • Complete Chapter 0.

Once you reach Rhonda's garage, mosey around clearing out the surrounding area and doing side missions, including dealing with the first Psycho (Zhi), and eventually you'll be able to talk to Rhonda to progress the story. Talking to her will grant you the tactical handgun blueprint, and some other goodies.

  • Complete Chapter 1.

Very shortly after talking to Rhonda and finishing chapter zero, you will take a turret rig to deal with the biker Psycho. Once he's dead, the achievement will pop (yes, the chapter is about five minutes long).

  • Complete Chapter 3.

  • Complete Chapter 5.

After saving Diego from the Museum you will be allowed to wander around until Rhonda works on the plane. During this time you will probably want to work on your next Psycho when the mission "Remotely Helpful" comes up. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward Chapter as far as free-roaming and side missions go.

  • Complete Chapter 6.

Chapter six can be very short if you're just doing the side missions and primary mission as you only do a small bit of bouncing around the map between missions before you're ready for the last story mission. Once you escape from the lab, the achievement will pop.

  • Complete the Facts.

At the very end of chapter seven you will get to Juggs Karaoke club and encounter Gary. He will give you two choices: kill him, or go get Rhonda to meet up with him. You must go get Rhonda from her garage to appease Gary, so Gary will then tell Annie's father about her, and he will interrupt you at the very end of the game leading you into Overtime mode.

  • Complete Overtime.

After completing the game, there will be a post-credits sequence where you chase General Hemlock around the city and you must destroy his zombie-harvesting droids. As soon as the cutscene finishes, starting the min-battle with the General's helicopter plane thing, hop off the roof and grab a few assault rifles from the nearby gun shop if you don't already have some on you. You will have a follower for this round, however they will work more on keeping zombies off of you while you follow the red triangle on the map (the aircraft) and destroy the droid things that come out of it to pick up the King Zombies. Ignore the King Zombies entirely to ensure a lot of droids come out of the ship, and they ignore you anyway so know worries there. The ship will move from Ingleton, to Central City, to Almuda and finally to Sunset Hills, with two locations in each district excluding Almuda, which has only one.

Once you've destroyed the 60th droid, a cutscene will appear and the final boss battle will begin. For the fight against the General, your best bet is to stay on the platform with him, in medium range, so he isn't constantly kick/punching you or shooting grenades at you. Guns are the best bet for this as a result, and there are a couple scattered around the area. If you run out of ammo, resorting to a couple quick attacks before rolling out of combat will work as well.

  • Lead a full posse of 5 survivors.

In order to do this you will a) need at least five survivors on the survivors board, and b) need to have upgraded the first three tiers of Mechanic and Smarts for the +2 Maximum Posse Size, which they both give you (1+2+2=5). Once you have that, you can either roll through the game trying to keep your survivors alive, or wait until you have at least 5 available to follow you and pick them up at a board all at once. You'll probably want to invest in maximum life as well so your followers don't die so easily (if they die, they stay dead unless you have this ability).

  • Complete chapter 7 in Nightmare Mode.

While on Nightmare mode you need to complete the last chapter prior to the credits. Unlike the standard story mode, you will be timed, so you must focus more on completing story missions and getting the items most important for finishing the game.

You can either do Nightmare Mode first, or wait until you complete Story Mode and turn Nightmare Mode into basically a New Game +.

Note: You can also get this by joining a friends game if they are in Nightmare Mode chapter seven and completing it with them without doing the first 6 Chapters yourself.

  • Win 25 Survival Training Silver medals.

    See "Survival Training Master."

  • Win 25 Survival Training Gold medals.

Looking at your in-game map, you will notice hollowed out star icons. These star icons signify training challenges that you can complete for massive PP bonuses, making these important for both leveling progress and for the achievements. All of the challenges task you with killing a certain number of enemies with a certain type of weapon or vehicle, such as fire or electric weapons, combo weapons only, or unarmed only within one minute. Many of the challenges can be completed using the Rollerhawg to quickly roll around the nearby area killing enemies, and the more difficult unarmed ones can be completed using the unarmed bonus damage book and the knee drop combo.

    Some Quick Notes:
Fire weapons can include the Rollerhawg, Flame Mecha Dragon, Flame Arrows, etc. and does not include explosives. Electric weapons can include the Elecrtic staff, Rolling Thunder, and shockdozer.

Also note that you can go anywhere during the challenge, and you're not confined to a particular area, however you will want to plan out where you go prior to starting the challenge to maximize your kill efficiency.

You can check out THIS playlist for a few videos that give you the general run through of the different types of Survival Training missions.

DLC: Operation Broken Eagle (Store Link)

There are 9 achievements with a total of 90 points

  • Hack all ZDC Cameras

There are a total of 29 cameras to hack, and are identical to the cameras in the main campaign, however this time around you will need to walk up to the base of the camera tower and tap to hack the camera. You will come across all of them on your map (yellow circle) as you move through the game, just be aware that they only appear on the map when you are relatively close to them.

Make sure you finish this before going to the Mayor's mansion to avoid another playthrough.

  • Infect all Safe Zones

After the first mission you will learn to "cleanse" terrorist safehouse, the same safehouses Nick uses in the story. There are 8 total, in the same spots as the main campaign, and you need to walk up to an exterior vent and tap to use the larvae bioweapon you picked up from the helicopter crash site, turning the safe house icon from green to red. Enjoy the screams of pain and terror from within the safehouses once you use the bioweapon!

Make sure you finish this before going to the Mayor's mansion to avoid another playthrough.

  • Recover all Squad Members

Squad Members are basically the special forces version of the survivors that Nick finds in the main story, with both of the two survivors in this DLC being members of Kane's team that survived the helicopter crash and subsequent zombie attack. Your first ally (sunshine) can be found on the prison bus in Ingleton (in front of Rhonda's garage). Ally number two (The Dutch) is in a meat shop in the southern part of central city.

Make sure you finish this before going to the Mayor's mansion to avoid another playthrough.

  • Collect all Dog Tags

Dog tags appear on fallen comrades that you will encounter in side missions, through exploration, and the main story. Obviously, be sure to loot their dog tag prior to leaving the area after finding them or killing them. Take note, that the fallen comrades are always near a burning red flare. If you see a flare, you know there is a dog tag nearby. Simply travel to the marker and collect the dog tags. The final two will not be given to you until after picking up the GPS tracker on the stage. Despite being technically missable, due to the fact they are given as side missions makes this a very hard achievement to miss unless you deliberately ignore them.

Make sure you finish this before going to the Mayor's mansion to avoid another playthrough.

    1. Near the entrance to the subway at the beginning of the game.
    2. First side mission in sunset hills.

  • Prep Base Camp for Bravo Team

  • Collect Charlie's supplies

This is story related and can't be missed. After prepping the base for Bravo Team, you will be asked to locate and retrieve Charlie's Supplies. Travel to the waypoint to find a new DLC vehicle, the 'Armadillo.' You must drive the Armadillo back to base, without destroying it. The fastest way back to base, is through the fireworks store. Once you have parked the vehicle in the garage, the achievement will unlock.

  • Locate the President

Head to Central City and clear out the stage near the museum, and then loot the GPS tracker from the secret service agent corpse on stage.

After leaving Central City make your way to the Mayor's mansion in NE Sunset Hills. Clear out all of the enemy soldiers as you fight to the back yard to get inside the mansion, then move upstairs to get the key to the presidents room off of a secret service agent near the door. Once you secure the president the DLC will end.

    Note:
Be sure to complete all other achievements (except Duty or Death, obviously) prior to talking to the President and ending the DLC.

  • Complete Dead Rising 3: Operation Broken Eagle

This is story related and can't be missed. This is for completing the final story based mission at the Mayor's Mansion. Simply clear out all bodyguards and retrieve the President.

    The Beast

The Operation Eagle DLC features four new combo weapons, but only one has a blueprint you may find and collect. This is for the weapon, "The Beast," a cross between a Shotgun and a Chainsaw.

Here is a video to help you find the blueprint.

They only take one bullet to destroy provided the reticle is red.

  • Burn all Propaganda Posters

There are a total of 40 Propaganda Posters marked on the map. They are marked with a yellow cross in a circle and must be burned. Early on you may have a hard time finding a pyro weapon but either use a RollerHawg or some sort of fire gun and that should handle them.

  • Rescue all Survivors

There are eight groups of survivors. You must get Mission Accomplished in order for it to count. This means that of the three, only one must be untied and survive. If someone dies when they are untied or dies before they are untied, it doesn’t matter. So long as you get the Mission Accomplished pop up.

Here is a map of all survivor locations. They will only start to spawn after you find the first group in the river bed (it can't be missed). Thanks to Insane Monkey for the map!

You must collect all twelve bikes, and drive them back to Torque at Ironside Cycles. Make sure you drive the bike inside the showroom and place it in the blue circle marked by your minimal, otherwise they might blow up rendering the achievement missable. The custom motorcycle needed in story mode is not required for the achievement.

It appears there is a small glitch with this achievement but luckily it still unlocks. If you try to deliver any bikes after the captains have been killed, the game will launch into the story cutscene instead causing the bike to disappear. Depending on the amount of points you have at the end of a district, you will get a rank from D to S (S being the best). As long as you kill lots of zombies and complete the rounds somewhat quickly, you should be able to get an S ranking. Using characters like B.B. Hood or Ryu help with the rankings tremendously as their Supers can one hit kill items you have to destroy (bombs, garage doors, etc).

The point totals that will award an S ranking vary depending on how many players you have. The following are approximations for playing solo.
