Introduction
Doritos Crash Course is a 3-D, side-scrolling platform game that has been ported over to Windows 8 from Xbox Live Arcade. The object of the game is to maneuver your Xbox Live avatar through the obstacle course presented in each level to the finish line in a timely fashion, with bronze, silver, and gold medals up for grabs. The game consists of five unique locations and a total of 25 levels. The game fully supports the Xbox 360 controller and this is the optimal control method to make this completion the easiest. Currently the game is listed at $1.49 in the Windows 8 Store.
Step 1: Earn a gold medal on every level
Play through the levels from the beginning, going for gold on each as you progress. If you get stuck, feel free to skip ahead and come back later when your are more practiced. You may also want to pay attention to the miscellaneous achievements as you go.
Step 2: Mop-up miscellaneous achievements
Complete whatever miscellaneous achievements you may have left. Most of them can be completed rather quickly on specific levels.
Conclusion
Doritos Crash Course GO has essentially the same achievement list as its XBLA counterpart, save the online ones. It is much easier to play with an Xbox 360 controller, though it is still doable with keyboard or touch controls. The hardest and most time consuming part of the game is earning gold medals on all of the levels. With that said, you should have little trouble completing the game in under 6 hours. The developers have really nerfed this version, making it far easier to complete levels than the XBLA version.
