Introduction:
Escape First 2 is an escape room puzzle game with three different escape rooms!

Psycho Circus 2: You managed to escape the clown’s quarters, but you are not free yet. Did you think it would be this easy to escape? The show must go on and you are the exhibit! Think and act fast in order to escape the circus, we all know that clowns don’t like other people touching their stuff!

The Torture Chamber: A medieval dungeon, filled with torture devices, prison cages and not many prisoners left. Hearing screams from the room next door, you know you don’t have much time left until the guards come for you. The doors are locked, is there another way out?

Behind the Scenes: While visiting an Escape Room Factory, you black out and wake up in the bathroom. However, there is one thing about this room that does not seem right; it has no doors or windows! How did you get here and more importantly, how will you ever get out?” - xbox.com

Escape First 2 is an escape room video game featuring three rooms with varying themes and difficulty. You are given a generous amount of time to complete each room, complete with clues and hints to discover, as you solve puzzles and tasks to hopefully find your way to freedom.

The game has solo and co-op play (at least two online partners are needed for one achievement). The game offers intriguing and detailed puzzles that will challenge the sharpest of minds, but if you are following the guide, nothing needs to be figured out. Each of the story-related escape room solutions below details the bare minimum of what needs to be done to complete it without finding any clues for yourself. You are free to explore as much as you want, but make sure you don’t run out of time. Pausing the game stops the clock so you can use that to your advantage if you get stuck.

Thanks to Cheetah’s Guides for the 100% video walkthrough.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
In Escape First 2, there are three rooms to solve, with solutions to all three in the guide below. Feel free to try and solve them without using the guide. If you decide to do this, note that there is a time limit for each room.

All three escape rooms have room-specific achievements for each, but if you are following the solutions below, they will unlock naturally while you are playing through the rooms.

Note: This game has an unconventional input system. To interact with or pick up an item, you press rt.png (instead of button-a.png or button-x.png). To open doors, locks, chests and panels, you hold rt.png and move analog-right.png. Also, to back out of a screen (such as a close up of a keypad) or to drop an item, you press lt.png (instead of button-b.png). It’s a bit awkward and curious as to why the developers chose to use these buttons instead of the more traditional ones.

Online:
There is only one achievement that requires other players. The room ‘Psycho Circus 2’ is by far the quickest room to solve, but feel free to choose any room you wish.

For Brought Some Friends (100G), at least three players are required, so invite two or more friends or boosting partners or have the host invite you.

Refer to the achievement for more information. If you need help finding boosting partners, you can post in the Official XBA Boosting Session Information & Discussion thread.

Conclusion:
Congratulations! Escape First 2 is much like the first game in that it is a fun game if playing without a guide. You will need some thought and puzzle-solving skills if you choose not use this guide, but all-in-all it isn’t really too difficult. If you really want to challenge yourself and test your mind, try playing “blind” without solutions to see how far you get. Of course, if you do choose to use this guide, it will be a relatively quick 1000gs.png.

Refer to We all float down here (100G) for more information.
  • Complete the factory chapter

This is for completing the room ‘Escape Room Factory’. There is a 60 minute time limit.

At the start, turn on your flashlight by pressing button-a.png. Next, look down and pick up the pipe from the floor (bent 90 degrees) and place it on the wall of pipes in front of you on the left side. Turn to your right and open the first bathroom stall. Pick up the straight pipe in the toilet then turn back to the wall of pipes and place it in the next empty space on the left side.

Turn to the left and interact with the keypad. Enter the code ‘4531’ then press the arrow key at the bottom right. After exiting, turn to the left and interact with the keys hanging above the left sink. Interacting with them will drop them down the pipe. Turn to your left and press these red buttons in this order: upper middle, upper right, lower middle. This will light up the bird image to your immediate left.

Turn left and walk across the room to the keypad next to the yellow bird image. Enter the code ‘4212’ then press the arrow key at the bottom right. After exiting, open the left side door and press the red button on the bottom shelf.

Return to the panel next to the right-hand sink and open it (this is timed, so if the panel does not open, press the red button again). Press the button at the bottom of the panel once and the wall to your right will spin, unlocking I see the code (100G).

Approach the newly-revealed workbench and press the right arrow button then the button in the middle that says ‘spawn’ to spawn a screwdriver. Press the right arrow button then ‘spawn’ again to spawn a wrench. Repeat a third time to spawn a crowbar.

Pick up the crowbar and interact with the white cabinet next to the left sink. Interact with the lock and when it breaks, press lt.png to drop the crowbar and open each door. Pick up the water bottle then pour it down the pipe to your immediate right (where you dropped the keys).

Return to the workbench and pick up the wrench. Turn around and walk to the opposite wall and use the wrench to loosen the bolt so water pours into the bucket on the floor.

Press lt.png to drop the wrench then pick up the bucket and pour it down the pipe next to the left sink. Return to the workbench and pick up the screwdriver. Turn to the left and press the button at the bottom of the panel (the one that rotates the wall) twice and the wall to your right will spin again. The wall should have a white panel on the left and a grey wall cabinet on the right. Use the screwdriver to unscrew the door to the white panel then open the door. Drop the screwdriver then flip the switches 1, 2, 4 and 6 and the grey wall cabinet on the right will unlock. Open the left door of the grey wall cabinet and pick up the water bottle. Walk over to the pipe next to the left sink and pour the bottle down the pipe.

Pick up the pipe (bent 90 degrees) from the white cabinet to the left of the left sink and walk over to the panel with the wall-spinning button and press the button once so the pipe wall appears. Place the pipe in the space on the right side circled in the image below.

Turn to the right and interact with the air compressor sitting on the floor. Turning it on will shoot out the keys from the pipe next to the left sink. Walk over to that pipe, pick up the keys from the floor and walk over to the panel with the wall-spinning button. Insert the key into the keyhole just above that button then press the button twice so a wall with a door appears. Interact with the door to complete the room and unlock this achievement.
  • Complete the torture chamber chapter

This is for completing the room ‘The Torture Chamber’. There is a 90 minute time limit.

At the start, turn on your flashlight by pressing button-a.png. Turn around and pick up the torch on the wall. Turn back around and burn the rope hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room. Drop the torch by pressing lt.png and pick up the sledgehammer that dropped to the floor. Walk over to the crumbling brick wall and interact with it to break through it, unlocking Prisoner (100G), then drop the sledgehammer.

Walk down the passageway, through a broken brick wall and into a room where you will see a wall of circular stones in front of you. You need to spin each stone a certain number of times. From left to right, spin the stones: 1=once, 2=three, 3=twice, 4=three, 5=once, 6=twice. If successful, the runes on the stones will briefly flash blue.

Next, interact with the stones in this order: 2, 6, 4, 5, 1, 3. This will unlock a small chest sitting on the bench below the stone wall. Inside the chest are five rune stones and a mirror piece (used later). One by one, pick up each rune stone and place it in the black pentagon on the wall behind you in the order shown in the image below.

Pick up the key in the middle of the pentagon, turn around, and interact with the cage door to the right of the stone wall. Open the door, turn left and walk down the passageway. After a few steps there will be a door on your right, so unlatch then open it. Inside the room, turn to the right, walk over to the table and pick up the blade on the left (the one that’s diagonal on the table). Turn right and walk over to the square contraption on the floor and place the blade in it. Turn back around and in the far left corner of the room is a dark puzzle box. We need to press buttons on three sides of it, so refer to the image below to see which buttons to press. You can click in analog-left.png to crouch to make it easier.

With the box unlocked, return to the front side to see it open and pick up the handle. Turn around and place the handle on the spindle then press rt.png to turn it. A bucket with sword parts will raise from the well so take each piece out of the bucket and drop them on the floor. Pick up the part shaped like a ‘T’ (circled), walk over to the square sword contraption and place it on the blade. Next, pick up the sword hilt (circled), and place that on the sword, and this will unlock The Chosen One (100G).

Turn back around and there is a shield sitting on the barrel next to the table. Pick it up, exit the room, turn left and walk all the way down the corridor. Unlatch then open the door, walk to the wall in front of you and place the shield in the top-right space. On the floor to the right is another shield, so pick it up and place it in the bottom-middle space. Turn to the left and the third shield is resting against the table with the game board. Pick it up and place it in the bottom-right space. Turn around and walk back to the sword room. From the door, the next shield is in the far right corner of the room (behind the dark puzzle box). Pick it up, walk back to the room at the end of the corridor and place it in the bottom-left space. Turn around and walk to the other end of the corridor for the final shield resting against a barrel. Pick it up, walk back to the room at the end of the corridor and place it in the top-left space. This will make a key appear on the game board to the left.

Pick up the key and climb the steps to the left in the same room and place it in the chest on the floor on the left. Open the chest and pick up a mirror piece. Leave the room, turn left into the room with the stone wall and continue down the passageway leading back to the cell you broke out of. Before you get there, there is a now-opened room on your left, so enter it and you will see a broken mirror in front of you. Place the piece in your hand in the bottom-right space. Look down and you will see three more pieces. Pick up the left mirror piece and place it in the top-right space, then pick up the right mirror piece and place it in the top-left space. Instead of picking up the center mirror piece, turn to the right, look down and you will see another mirror piece. Pick it up and place it in the bottom-left space. Then, pick up the last (center) mirror piece and place it in the space above where you placed the last piece. There will be one space left.

Turn around and walk back to the room with the stone wall. In the chest where the rune stones were should be the final mirror piece (you may have picked it and dropped it). Pick it up, return to the mirror room, and place it in the left space. Slide the mirror up to reveal a weighted ball (kind of like a kettlebell). Pick it up and return to the corridor. Turn left and pass the first door on the right (sword room) and there will be another door on your right before the end of the corridor. Unlatch and open the door, walk down the stairs and place the weight on the first chain on your left (there are six chains). On the floor behind the first chain is another weight, so pick it up and place it on the third chain. Turn around and you will see the third weight on the floor, so pick it up and place it on the sixth chain.

Turn around, exit the room, turn right and the fourth weight is on the floor next to a barrel. Pick it up, return to the weight room and place it on the fifth chain. Turn to the right and you will see a cabinet on the wall. Enter the code ‘9765’ then open both doors. This is a tile puzzle and solving it will unlock the chest on the floor below the puzzle. Change the puzzle tiles to what is shown in the image below.

With the chest now unlocked, open it pick up the left weight and place it on the fourth chain. Next, pick up the last weight and place it on the second chain which will complete the room and unlock this achievement.
  • Complete a chapter with 3 or more players in the party

    *ONLINE*

    If you are hosting:
Select ‘Multiplayer’ from the board and once it connects, in the top-middle of the screen, change ‘Private’ to ‘Public’. This will give you a six-digit code that you need to give to the other players so they can join your party.

While you are waiting for them to join, turn to the right and choose the room ‘Psycho Circus 2’. This is by far the shortest room to solve. Turn back to the main board and once at least two other players have joined your party, select ‘Start’.

    If you are not hosting:
Select ‘Multiplayer’ from the board and once it connects, press rt.png on the keypad to enter the six-digit number the host gave to you. Once you’ve joined the party, wait for the host to start the game.

Follow the solution in The madness is over (100G) to complete the room and unlock this achievement and four others (if they haven’t unlocked yet).
