Hardcore Achievement in Fallout: New Vegas

  • How to unlock Hardcore

Hardcore Mode is new to Fallout, and adds more realism to the game. While playing on Hardcore, all ammo has weight, your stats include H2O, FOD, and SLP. If any of these stats reaches 1000, you will die. You must keep yourself properly nourished by eating, sleeping and drinking. Also, Stimpaks heal your health over time rather than instantly. and they will not be able to heal your limbs if they happen to break. Companions CAN die while in your party, and CAN be hit by friendly fire. Although Hardcore adds more realism, you CAN set the difficulty to Very Easy to make the game easier on you.

To achieve this, you'll be prompted to turn Hardcore mode on before leaving Doc Mitchell's house. You must choose yes to get this achievement After turning it on, you cannot turn it off for the rest of the game. This means you must get to the end of the Battle for Hoover Dam without ever having turned it off. The achievement should pop just as the ending cinematic starts.

    Some tips:

    • You'll want to have some reasonable level of strength, as weapon ammunition has weight (especially energy and explosive ammo) which will make a large dent in your carrying capacity.
    • Always have at least three doctor's bags on you at all times as your limbs will most likely become crippled. Don't take the Small Frame trait!
    • Keep in mind easy access to water and food sources. Two rad-free water sources that can be conveniently accessed are the well in Freeside and the sink in the Presidential Suite of Lucky 38. The Gourmand in the Ultra Luxe also usually has a large supply of food for sale.
    • If an item has a + in the Hunger, Thirst or Sleep stat, this is bad! You want negatives (-) so you can reduce them down. With this is mind, note that alcoholic beverages and Nuka Cola actually make you more thirsty.
    • Enemies have significantly more health, so if it gets too challenging turn down the difficulty before turning off hardcore mode.

A special thanks to DarthRandalNC, who wrote an extremely detailed Hardcore mode guide here.

  • wow, erm. this should be nice and time consuming....
  • best achievement tile of 2010? have got to have this one!
  • Sweeeeeeeeeet!
  • Why is the option to turn on Hardcore mode greyed out?
  • They give you the option once you select your character and on your way to go
  • Does anyone know if you have to complete the main questline to get the achievement? Or do you have to reach the Level Cap?
  • I will try this on my first playthrough and try to do all sidequests. I don't like rushing through. :)
  • Do you unlock anything special for completing hardcore?
  • As far as I know only the 100G Achievement.
  • Just the achievement. And you only have to complete the main questline in order to get this. I just got it and it really isn't that bad at all. Definitely one that I'm going to brag about for a while.
  • Here's a story for you guys.... i went through the whole main questline on hardcore mode (I got the achievement for beating the quest no gods no masters (last quest)) and i got glitched out of the achievement =( a real downer.... any suggestions... if not im just going to beat it again
  • @Death77457 Same for me. Played the whole game with hardcore-mode ON, and switched from hard to normal difficulty one time and didnt get the freaking achievement. So pissed that i have been struggeling with drinking stuff and eating like crazy and no reard for it :( Was lvl 28 when i finished. Do you have to be 30 or something?
  • It says in the user manual about playing in Hardcore mode. It says from the moment you are prompted to the moment you finish the game you are not allowed to change the difficulty, even once, or you will not get the hardcore achievement.
  • i lucked out as the achievement glitched on me while i played through the whole game, not on hardcore and still unlocked it
  • You can beat the game under Hardcore with the difficulty set at any level. Once you start, don't change anything and you only have to beat the main story line.
  • sound like pi =)
  • haha it seems that mine glitched the other way :) i got all the way to the end when you ahve to fight the guy with the sword after completing it all on the hardest difficulty with hardcore. i poorly prepared myself and it was pretty much impossible to killl him, which really annoyed me and i quit playing for like a month :/ i just came back on n put the difficulty down to at least get all or nothing and got hardcore achievement anyway! yay!
  • Ragin, finished the NCR story but didn't get the acheivement, do you have to finish a particular ending? also anyone have problems gettin the gang's all here, i'm sure i got all companions (a few died like rose of sharon cassidy) and i never got it! any help would be much appreciated
  • cant wait to get this game!!
  • Lawn Ninjas, I had the same issue, but I went back and had Arcade join me again and the achievement popped.
  • Hardcore really isn't that bad. I just spent about 110 hours on my first play through in Hardcore and loved it. Fallout 3 is a fairly easy game once you get to about level 10 so the extra effort for playing in Hardcore is kind of enjoyable. The worst part of hardcore is that your followers can die. Just keep them in the back and keep them healed. As far as food and water go, just have your follower carry about 20 Gecko Steaks and 20 Purified water on them whenever you are going out for an extended time. Only carry ammo for one or two weapons or better yet concentrate on melee or unarmed and don't worry about ammo weight!
  • I just finished the game on Hardcore as well. I didn't find it difficult at all. It was a bit annoying maybe, but surely not difficult. Vandiloo's suggestions above are spot on for carrying ammo and food/water. As for companions, I only had them with me long enough to complete their side quests and did the rest of the game on my own so I didn't have to worry about them dying. All in all, I think this was a pretty darn easy 100 point achievement - just time-consuming.
  • Will anybody be posting a hardcore guide later on? I am really stuck on this achivement. I'm focusing on melee and unarmed to save weight for food and water but i always die. Any suggestions on how to complete?
  • Is it recommended to get this achievement in 2 play throughs? (one normal, then "Hardcore") or is it easier, less time consuming to do Hardcore from the start? I'm very familiar with Fallout 3/Oblivion type games, just want to enjoy this new game before becoming frustrated by annoying achievements. thanks.
  • My forward planning was bad so I need to go through again with each side (Sided with Yes-Man) during my hardcore (first) playthrough. Hardcore was annoying I think I'll play on normal next time.
  • Yhis achivement is reaaaaaaally easy. When u play the game in hardcore from the start , itget easy.
  • Yhis achivement is reaaaaaaally easy. When u play the game in hardcore from the start , it get easy.
  • easy as pie, stalk up on food, use water sources for thirst and sleeping heals, also try and only use one type of ammo and one gun, marksman carbine or assault carbine works well
  • A high sneak, high critical, unarmed character makes this simple. You'll be unstoppable by level 20. All ammo and guns can be sold back for big profits. I had over 100k caps by the end with only a 15 barter skill. Good luck, this achievement is easy.
  • Is it easier to just go through the main quest and get done quick or should i try to do some of the side quests to level up?
  • Easiest achievement EVER, just us Tootoo Bangs mod.
  • Just go for the main quest .. I went with Mr House ... but do some side quest I was lvl 18 when i did the last mission
  • Points in Endurance helps for bonuses earlier on with health etc. Perception is also another viable SPECIAL skill to put points in for a heads up on the enemy.
  • Also, You CAN beat the game on Hardcore in under 10 hours if you follow this guide. Put Points In: - Endurance to give you more health, survival bonuses and environmental resilience - Points In Strength to carry lots of food and drink. While this isn't essential it is extremely helpful to carry guns, ammo etc so you can maintain a steady income when you sell items. - Agility to use VATS a lot. Targeting body parts such as arms to cripple enemies can result in easy battles. - Charisma for Speech bonuses - more on this in a bit. - Intelligence for extra points when you level up. Take on the Perk at the start that makes your perception +2 when wearing glasses. You can easily get glasses early in the game once you reach Novac, simply kill the winner of the lottery. There is no l
  • Take on the Perk at the start that makes your perception +2 when wearing glasses. You can easily get glasses early in the game once you reach Nipton, simply kill the winner of the lottery. There is no loss of Karma. Take on the perk of Accuracy but speed reduction - you can always take on another perk later to rectify the speed concern. When you start levelling up distribute points into your SPEECH (10 preferred each time) and distribute the rest to the areas you want. MELEE is helpful to conserve ammo but GUNS is more helpful in taking down enemies. Sneak in buildings.
  • When you reach the Strip, track down Old Ben near the Kings place. If your SPEECH is at 50 you can repeatedly use a SPEECH CHALLENGE to gain 61 EXP. This has been patched so simply delete your CACHE before hand. Do this until you're at a comfortable level with DAMAGE THRESHOLD X2 and other beneficial perks you think you will need. Mostly go for ones that attribute towards combat and preservation. Continue in the game, kill Benny when you catch him and take his suit. All those skill points you've been getting, put them towards Speech up until 95. More on this later.
  • Continue in the game and do YES MAN's Quests, all you have to do is simply walk into the area of the boomers, White gloves, Omergas, Brotherhood of Steel, etc. YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGHT OR DO QUESTS which makes it much easier. Go back to Yes Man, do his last mission and then continue to the Dam. You should have lots of caps so buy guns, replacements etc and the Dam should be easy. When you get to Legate put on BENNY's suit to maxmise your SPEECH to 100 and talk him out of fighting. Follow the marker to the end of the game. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED
  • You could always fight Legate however which shouldn't be too hard. The SPEECH way is mush easier and less messy though.
  • Stealth sniper is your best bet for this. High sneak, guns and speech. Survival and medicine is useful too. Take your time, sneak attack/snipe every battle take the game slowly and take each enemy encounter slowly and you should be able to sneak kill your opponents without having a full fight. Search everything in the wild, you can find water and food everywhere, most water is drinkable in mojave as well.
  • just finished this last night. it was a little frustrating but not to bad. just focused on the main quest. def one of my best achievements. can't wait to start a regular playthrough and take my time.
  • just to make it easier be a girl and seduce benny so u dont have to go to ceaser
  • Finished the game the other night with one ending, the achievement never popped, played on hardcore very hard from start to finish and nothing. I never changed the settings even when stuck in vault 34 for two weeks. (Omg those ghouls, -__-) and I ripped through the NCR at the end and nothing. I restarted the game and went through the next two endings and still no achievement. Mind you I got 4 of the companions and just 2 snowglobes and those achievements came out of no where. This game is SUPER buggie. I still want my 100 GS. Also maybe the dead money dlc messes with the game? Can anyone else drop some lines about that?
  • I have Dead Money, and it worked just fne for me. I even played on the easiest difficulty with hardcore. It took me a little over 8 hours and I was a level 14 when I finished. Pretty easy stuff. Just max out your speech, and then work on guns or something. I wasted all my skill points on science and lockpick out of habbit. they did not come in handy when you're just trying to beat it through real fast. Also recruiting Ed-E and Boone was a huge help and they are both right at the begining with minimal travel. And it's easiest to go with Yes Man because you dont have to do any side quests. you just have to check out each group and then tell him you want to leave them alone. Anyway, I'm rambling. I hardly even needed to rehydrate, sleep, and eat. I thought it would be harder.
  • it's much much easier than you think...
  • They should remove the link to the walkthrough in the achievement guide, it's not as detailed as they give it credit for, and it kind of relies on using an XP glitch that was patched out of the game quite a while ago apparently. I've basicaly left this playthrough until last, played the game, on normal, and sided with the NCR, my main playthrough level 35 and dlc done etc and did the guns and splodey damage cheevs. Then I realized the save I kept I could use to finish up with Yes Man. Then I played through to level 21 siding with Caesar and doing melee and unarmed damage cheevs. So now it's time for this horrible sounding one along with siding with Mr. House.
  • good game challening achievement but good game
  • Act of God, as for the Four Eyes trait, you can find eyeglasses on Doc Mitchells desk, the very house you start in.
  • This sounds pretty sweet! I think I'm going to save it for last, after I complete all the other achievements. Seems fitting...
  • I only miss this one! Any tips? Already start hardcore mode today
  • Just in case no one's found this out yet, playing through Dead Money on Hardcore is frickin' HARD! All that red fog does a huge amount of damage if you get caught in it, and if you don't have a really good idea where you're going, that'll happen a lot. I put the game down for more than a month because of it, but I finally managed to nerve myself up to finish it a couple of weeks ago. You've been warned!
  • @50 true that. But big time warning is if you go through the whole game on one save. Then you go fight at the damn VS Ceaser. If you don't have any health or stimpaks, (also speech under 85)you will not be able to beat the legate and you will not be able to leave either...YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART...BIG TIME ERROR IN THIS GAME. i had like 4 stimpaks and crap armor, after about 20-30 tries to kill him and all his posses i almost gave up but i managed to loot enough healing poweder to somehow get past him. THIS IS A BIG GAME BREAKING PROBLEM!
  • Some more help. Hardcore is just as easy as playing it on normal. all it is is a little more time finding food and water and maybe a few more deaths along the way but if you save often its a piece of cake. hope this help with confidence (you don't need much). since i got every achievement ect. in Fallout3 i knew i could play this first play through on Hardcore. it was just as easy...but kinda annoying i must say!
  • I suggest that you level up to get the most HP before you start the harder missions. Stay away from giant rad scorpions and deathclaws at early levels, be careful about eating certain types of food (some can take down your S.P.E.C.I.A.L skills for a while), stock up on certain types of ammo for stronger guns, level up intelligence at the beginning of the game, and give armor with high DT to your companions (look for the NCR scavenger power armor which requires no power armor training).
  • i keep dying ant suggestions
  • This achievement is not that hard. I actually finished hardcore mode even if i was only lvl 1. Believe me or not. I actually thought that you couldn't lvl up in hardcore mode. But when i took out the disc and put it back again after my 3rd playthrough on hardcore it actually leveled up. i was shocked and a bit frustrated because i had to finish this mode with low S.P.E.C.I.A.L and NO perks except wild wasteland and the perk you get from rex and Boone.
  • So buggie! Still no achievement.....
  • not really hard if you want it fast just have it on easy mode, stock up on food, water and stimpacks and have boone with you. I was surpised you can get this on easy to be honest
  • but one thing i will admit it is annoying as fuck having to keep drinking water, eating, sleeping and when you have crippled limbs and have to go to a doctor to be healed if you don't have a doctor's bag -_-
  • I decided to revisit this game and finish out any missed achievements. I used this guide: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/959557-fallout-new-vegas/57236095 and got this achievement in a few hours from start to finish.
  • Will clearing the cache also erase the system updates too or just the game updates?
  • Took me one day to beat this. I skipped everything that wasn't necessary and went strictly with stuff that was. Lame about the award crap.
  • Didn't clear the cache, just used the guide BackroomBiscuit suggested and did it in just over 2 hours.
  • Clearing the cache does just that, the cache, you cannot remove system updats unless you mod the system and even then only certain updates as you will blow the efuse trying to downgrade. @51 It's not a game breaking problem if you are sensible and like any RPG game you use multiple saves, going through on 1 save only is stupid and risky as you get points exactly like what you encoutered, you stated you played fallout3 3 so this should of been obvious anyway. If you play using only 1 save you almost deserve to get screwed :P lol
  • I heard this achievement is quite easy to come by so I am not too fussed. :)
  • Too easy. Side with Caesar's Legion. You won't have to fight Legate, and it's the easiest questline to do.
  • @63 lol I did not say i went through the game with only one save i warned people that might do the whole game on one save. I had trouble fighting the legate and I didn't want to go back before the damn battle.
  • This really isn't as hard as some people say it is. Most food and even drty water will drop your hunger and thirst bars to 0. Either do the Legions or Yes Man's quest line. There the easiest. I'm almost done this with the legion
  • This is dirt easy Do this: Set to hardcore-very easy As soon as you start do the ghost town gunfight quest for xp after head directly to the tops casino you will automatically beat they went thata way kill benny Do mr houses quests activate fort bunker kill boomer leaders destroy bos bunker do how little we know you will not need to do the assination mission if you do nothing but houses quests install override chip at eldorado battle at hoover dam I got this achievement in under 2 hours and did it so fast that i did not need to eat drink or sleep once
  • fucking screwing with this cheevo! been playing it for bout 15 hours, me last game save was at 10 hours, now the piece o shit xbox wont load up the 15 hour game only the 10! trading in a.s.a.p!
  • #59 Thanks for the link. I'd highly recommend it to others, I got the achievement in under two and a half hours with it.
  • @69 that's what auto save is for.
  • Really easy did it on my first try and on very hard dificulty. Just took more time and micro managing your invintory more
  • i got this today took me about 9 hours just doing main quest, easier then i thought(:
  • a few words of advice. strenght - 7, always carry something to eat and to drink, but not too much 10 portions each will be fine! you always can go back to Goodsprings! carry on 3 or 5 weapons, more of them is too much. i was using 2-3 to end game, and only beacuse i was ran out of ammo. take perks which will help you shooting nad speech max out for 100. it will hepl you end game very quickly. a~! play with women and take perk black widow. when you will met Benny kill him when having sex with him. and in the end (LP :)) when will be attack for the dam, when you can, run to fort and talk to boss, next to general and... achiv unlock!
  • I really need to start on this one! (TGS) the gaming standard is now recruiting! We achievement hunt primarily togethe, also we play competitively on multiplayer games. Now looking for 2 good players. 1 to lead and build a black ops team. Also 1 to lead and build a Halo team! Add me....Hopefully our facebook page will be up soon! Just look for The Gaming Standard!!
  • Here is how I did it. First, work for the powder gangers in goodsprings until you can get the speech challenges for the docter and Chet. then, betray them all. This will lead to unlimited speech challenges so free xp, armor, and ammo from Chet. (you get xp and spare medical supplies from doc.) Stay in there for a while and get to the level that you want. when you are overencumbered, just stick all the stuff you don't need into a mailbox or sell them all. Then, CAREFULLY, go through sloan ON THE ROCKS to avoid all deathclaw activity to get to new vegas. From there, just work for who ever, get a lot of healing supplies, and avoid breaking your limbs. I had to go through hoover dam with no docters bags and All my limbs except one arm was crippled!
  • I loved the idea of this achievement but it really wasn't that hard to do. Too bad for me that just as when I was getting to the good part, my Hard Drive went down faster than a prom date getting paid by the hour so as soon as I get a new one (still under warranty) I gotta start all over again.
  • faster then a prom night getting paid by the hour? what in gods name does that mean?
  • This is not hard to play on, its just hard for me to unlock. Its still s0o0o0o0o0o0o0o00o0o0o0oo0 buggie!!!! This is the 7th time i beat the game on Hardcore. You know what, Im going to beat it without Hardcore and see what happens!
  • @77 I guess he took a hooker to prom.
  • This one really isn't all that hard. Just make sure to keep lots of water and food on you.
  • forced me to play the game on hardcore and made me sorry I didn't do it earlier. hardcore is how this game should be played, kept me on my toes and also made me use the campfires much more.
  • Is this really hard??
  • I still want to know how the fuck soda and alcohol make you MORE thirsty.
  • fucking love this game.
  • Working for Yes Man is rather easy so I would probably pick his path again when I play on hardcore. Also try and get it done as fast as you can, Avoid all the side quests if you can.
  • #33-38, definitely trying this.
  • yup beat it and got the achievement in about 8 hrs
  • So much easier than it sounds.. Loot everything, and you will ALWAYS have more than enough food and water.
  • Hardcore Mode is nothing. My hardcore playthrough was almost exactly identical to my normal playthrough (except nobody but the gangers died when I helped Ringo). The stats are no problem and stimpaks still heal fast enough to help during fights (especially super stimpaks). Just drink when you find a source of water and keep stimpaks as a last resort healing so that you keep using belly-filling items. Sleep whenever you can; when you get the suite, use that bed for the well-rested bonus. I didn't even notice the enemies having more health... but that might be because my Guns stat was at 100 pretty early.
  • It IS possible to travel directly from Goodsprings to the Strip and skip half of the quests. There are cliffs between Black Mountain and the Quarry that allow a low level character to sneak past the Deathclaws. You can then proceed to kill Benny and do the Yes Man quests. There may be some slight difficulties since your character is such a low level, but it shouldn't be a problems after a couple quest rewards.
  • Got this one on first play through :]
  • got this acheivement in one day:)
  • The only thing I don't like about this achievement is the picture for it. Why is the Pip Boy angry and why is his face red? LOL.
  • must admit i found non-hardcore mode very boring after getting this achievement
  • Made it very Hard Core way, level 1. The game has a bug which prevents your charachter leveling up when you have previous saves and start a new game in Hard Core mode. But yes, that is possible to play the game through on level 1. There was a challenge to get good weapons and aids, but i found a way to get Assault Carbines and Stealth Boys by grinding the respawning dead Super Mutant in Ruby Hill Mine. I chosen Yes Man ending quests which was a walk in the park, but that end fight with Legete Lanius in Legete's Camp was shit crazy stuff with that level. I wish i could have had good enough speaking level to avoid the battle. After of many tries i finally ended his days and slaughtered the whole camp out of the legions.
  • I hate this achievement I can't earn it I'm doing Mr. House's campagian (or however you spell it.) Now I'm stuck on killing the Brotherhood of Steel it is so hard.
  • I wonder, which storyline will be easy to complete with Hardcore? I'm planning on having the Yes Man questline so that I get both, but I'd like to have a rather relaxing enjoyable time with it. Which questline would be the easiest?
  • I wouldn't dream of playing NV without HC mode. It makes you feel like a proper wasteland survivor and makes the survival skill very fun and you have to play more carefully and think before you go charging into combat. It's not that hard, you just need to play a bit smart.
  • Amen #99. I completed most of the achievements on my first thorough playthrough on Hardcore mode and it didn't feel any harder than normal, even considering I avoid using fast travel. I've started again on normal mode just to clean up the rest of the achievements.
  • I Think what makes this acheivement easier is the DLC such as the starter packs you can get
  • Any game any acheivement that u want boosted hmu Tokejester420, send me a message with what game and i'll respond back if i have it and need the achievements
  • lots of tips although I agree that going the way of the robot and forsaking all others is the easiest...
  • the walkthrough #59 proposes not only is easy but takes no long time to do... WOW
  • BULLSHIT!!! Played through the game fully, never even touched the setting, and didn't pop. I hate this game even more now...
  • Yeah, this wasn't as easy as I thought it was. I did this is 7 hours though. I first holped the Powder Gangers and killed all Goodsprings guys and like 10 NCR Soldiers when they broke in into the Correctional Facility. After that I holped the NCR to defeat the remaining Powder Gangers. Than I went to Mr. House and did some of his quests. Than I killed Mr.House and went to Benny. I accepted Benny's offer and killed him eventually. Than I went to the Legion. I helped them till the quest: Arizona Killer appeared(killing President Kimball)and out of the blue they attacked me. Than I went back to Yes-Man and completed his quests.
  • And then there was a quest where you needed to make contact/destroy the Brotherhood of Steel. I went to 188 Trading Outpost, made contact with BoS-member: Veronica, partnered up with her and moved to the BoS bunker hidden in 'Hidden Valley'. She told the bastards to open the door and not to kill me. When I was in there I went directly to the second level and told Veronica to wait at some point. I stole all 3 keycards, hacked the computer, started the self-destruct system and blew up the whole fucking Mohave Chapter of the BoS, including my 'lovely' partner Veronica. Ciao LADS! After that I continued working for Yes-Man and at the final fight(at Hoover Dam), I ran for my life 'cause I had both the NCR AND the Legion as an enemy. I went to Legate Lanius, confinced him with the 100 Speech and
  • I went to Legate Lanius, confinced him to get the fuck off with the 100 Speech and did the same thing to General Oliver, which was totally surrendered by my Robots. And now.. congratulations for finishing Hardcore mode and another 100G for my account. Thanks guys ;)
  • This achivement is more like ''Realsitic mode''. It's great. Not that hard.
  • Agree with #109 lmao this is very simple. I finished it in about 10 hours,i chose Mr. House's story line. It is a lot easier then they make it seem. It's just somewhat realistic.
  • what happens if I changed my difficulty from 'Normal' to 'Very Easy' during the game?
  • question...... What if i accidentally said no when prompted to do hardcore by the Doc, but when i got outside i immediately changed it?
  • Okay, have a strength of 7, a high speech and survival. Select the wild wasteland perk and make sure the game is on easy. Venture to the top of the map and get the alien blaster. Conserve ammo as you get very little. Kill the deathclaws at Quarry junction and increase you Speech with the XP you get. Get the fatman and two mini nukes. Two of the best weapons quickly. Make a not of all the places you can sleep or heal. Always carry 3 doctors bags, 5 stimpaks ( more would be better) and 20 items of food. 1O water or more is nice. Carry 3 to 4 guns. The "big boomer" is good, a rifle, a sniper and a melee ( Oh baby) or one that ignores DT (ripper) for amoured enemies. Don't use companions until you think necessary as they can die. Pay 2000 caps to enter and side with the NCR. Avoid fights when
  • did it in 6hours, tips : 1.side with yes man ncr won't attack you, 2.enter to the strip with the train and a ncr armor to avoid losing 2000 caps 3.make sure to have max speech for the final battle 4. don't kill Powder gang 5. find gun runners if you can hope it help
  • I'm starting my Hardcore playthrough today. I am using Early Bird Trait and siding with the Legion. Haven't earned those achievements yet.
  • This is an easy achievement, roughly 2hrs to get it this way. Start a game just for this one and choose to work for Mr. House "the robots do all heavy lifting" and concentrate your skill points on speech. TO EASY!!!
  • this one actually easier than its sound
  • On my youtube channel we have a guide for completing the game on hardcore in 2 hours or less: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tyqp_JkxQdw Give it a watch!
  • 2:01:10 is the time on my last save right before General Lee after already talking Lenius into leaving the Dam. Not bad, not bad at all. Took some extra time to drink, sleep and heal just to be on the safe side so it's possible to do this a bit faster. I thought I'd never get this but thanks to a guide, I was already at the Strip at level 1! :)
