Introduction:
Welcome to Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset, another point and click adventure game from Artifex Mundi. If this is somehow your first one, they are first person point and click games with a heavy emphasis on puzzles and hidden object scenes. As with all Artifex Mundi games, there are collectibles to hunt down, many miscellaneous achievements, and then a handful of story ones. Thankfully this game can be played on the easiest difficulty, and the miscellaneous achievements are all relatively simple ones. On top of that, there isn't any achievement for beating the game, so you don't even need to finish this one all the way. Let's get started.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
As with all Artifex Mundi games, there are collectibles. There are also many points of no return, meaning most collectibles are easy to miss. As a result, I highly recommend keeping a collectible guide open while you play through the game (a great one can be found in True Collector (70G)). Every scene has at least one collectible (a few have two). Because of this, every time you come to a new scene for the first time, you should make it a point to find all collectibles in the scene first before proceeding with the story.
Aside from the missable collectible achievements, there are a number of miscellaneous achievements that are also missable, so you should be aware of them and, ideally, take care of them as soon as possible so you don't have to worry about them for the remainder of your playthrough. The requirements are:
- Complete three Hidden Object Puzzles (HOPs) without using a hint (Scanner Eyes (60G))
- Complete 5 minigames without skipping them (Genius at Work (40G)) and all story minigames without skipping them (Story Teller (60G))
- Complete an HOP without making a mistake (Unmistakable (40G))
- Complete an HOP in under a minute (All Seeing Mind (40G))
- Complete a minigame in under a minute (Time Stands Still (30G))
- Find 3 hidden objects within 3 seconds (Faster than Time (30G))
- Finish 3 HOPs within 10 minutes (Lightspeed (60G))
You should be able to knock out all of those within the first 15-30 or so minutes of the game, allowing you to play through the rest of the game without worrying about missing any achievements. If there are any you aren't sure of or confident about, jump to their solutions to get a better idea of what to do in advance.
Aside from the collectible achievements and bunch of miscellaneous achievements above, all other achievements are story related. As noted in the overview, there is actually no achievement for completing the game, As a result, as soon as you reach the last scenes in the game to find the final collectibles, you should have the full 1000

Conclusion:
Family Mysteries 3 doesn't really have anything unique to it compared to other Artifex Mundi games, making it pretty forgettable (assuming you distinctly remember every Artifex Mundi game you play!). Thankfully, this is by far the easiest one to date, since you don't need to finish the game, don't need to play all HOPs without hints, and don't even need to play all minigames without skipping them. Enjoy blasting through this one and another completion!
