Introduction
Forza Motorsport 4 is the latest edition of the series. It is the most in depth racing simulator to date and has an abundance of cars, tracks and tuning options which will keep the hardcore racer engrossed for a long time. None of the achievements are difficult but Bucket List and Factory Driver will take a long, long time to get. If you want the full  you will need a Kinect device and a Forza Motorsport 3 save game to hand.

Step 1 - Pre Racing achievements
First we will get some of the miscellaneous achievements out of the way.
As soon as you start playing the game you will do a introductory race. When you finish you will unlock Welcome To Forza Motorsport. If you have a save game on your system from Forza 3, you will be prompted to import your save getting you Forza Faithful. If you had any of the cars on this list, you will also get Unicorn Hunter. If you don't there are other ways to get this, there are a few other ways to get it. This thread may give you some ideas.

After buying your first car, create a paint job and save for Painter, and a tuning setup for Grease Monkey.
Place any of your setups, paint jobs or decals on the storefront and sell it for Entrepeneur. If you can't sell one legit, then get a friend to get it off of you.
Now take a photo of your car in all 5 locations in the homespace for On Location.
Visit the Autovista and fully explore any car for Car Explorer. Make sure you click on everything until it pops. Create a car club and share a car with it for Clubbed Up and My Car is Your Car, and create a custom playercard for Here's My Card
Make sure you visit the message centre on 5 separate days for Daily Rewards.
Not bad, we haven't done a full race yet but already have 12 achievements!

Step 2 - Quick Races and Rivals Mode
If you have a Kinect device, play on Free Play then use the Kinect to steer the car. If you want to play like this for the rest of the game, feel free but it is not reccomended.
Go into quick race mode. Select the SCC Ultimate Aero as your car, and go onto the Old Le Mans track. On the straight, you should be able to get to 240mph for Speed Demon. On the same track reach 88mph in a DMC Delorian for Outta Time.
Next take a lap round the Top Gear Test Track in the Kia Cee'd for Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Legendary Battle is awarded for beating a Ferrari 330 P4 with a Ford GT40 Mk II. Start a quick race with the Ford and the Ferrari will most likely be one of your opponents. Win!
After your first race (any type), save the replay then upload it for Show Off.
In rivals mode, you will see Autocross events. Take your time and complete ten of these without hitting a cone for Autocrosser. You will get Rivals Shootout most likely after your first race as the standard rival times you need to beat are really slow.
Post a time in every different Rivals mode and get Born Competitor. They don't need to be good times, just play one of each type of challenge.

Step 3 - Career
Career mode is where you will get most of you achievements. Play through all ten years of season play for 10 achievements worth 275 . There are 6 achievements worth 120 for getting to level 50, these will come through playing through the seasons. You will level up faster by upping the difficulty, assist and damage settings, but play however you are most comfortable with. Try to pick a favourite manufacturer and use that make as much as possible as you will need to get to affinity level 50 with one for Factory Driver.
When you get to driver level 30, you will be given the option of a Ferrari 330 P4. Take this, as there are achievements for owning the 5 most expensive cars in the game, and for owning every Ferrari. For these achievements you will need a lot of credits, or if you want to get them the quick way, you can my tokens with MSP to get them instantly.
You will get Kingpin while playing through career, and will get the Drift, Draft, Pass, Turn and Speed achievements while playing through.

Step 4 - Mop Up

So at this stage, you should have just three achievements left to get. Forza World Tourer requires you to race on every track in the game. You will have raced on the majority of them through the career, but may still have a few left. A full list can be found here. Just do quick races set to one lap for any you have missing.
Bucket List will take a long time to get through, you have to gold medal every single race in every single event. Again, choose the difficulty you are most comfortable with, with everything on easy and all assists on you can't really lose.
You will also still need Factory Driver. Hopefully you will have made a big dent in this during general playthrough, but keep racing with that make of car until you reach level 50.

DLC - Porsche Expansion Pack

Start up an online lobby and set all the AI to easy. Change the track to Test Track Benchmark Layout E, and with 1 lap races. This track is basically a big circle, but just has a small island in the middle of the track. Head immediately left at the start and head for the centre, making sure you go round the island. Each lap/race should take about 15 seconds.
Pick your first car as the 2011 Porsche #45 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR. Just one win for ALMS Dominator. Repeat with one race with the 2003 Porsche Carrera GT for Germany's Supercar.
Next pick the 2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic. Win 5 times for Throwback. Win 3 times with the 2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo for Backseat Driver, 5 with the 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 for Whale Tail and once with the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS for Rennsport Originator.

Next set up a one lap race around Nordschleife in the 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS with easy AI, win to get Pieces of Flare.

Now we have the achievements for attaining credits for cars. These credits are cumulative, so don't worry about getting them in one race. Pick Test Track Benchmark Layout A, but this time set it to 15 laps, change the AI to professional and damage to simulation to maximise your profits. You can cut all 4 corner of this course for a guaranteed win.
It may take more than one race to go over 30k but with laps like these this won't take long.
Using the 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo (997) will get you All Spooled Up, the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997) forTrack Day Play Toy and the 2008 Porsche #7 Penske Racing RS Spyder Evo for Special Delivery.

Conclusion
Forza 4 is without doubt the best racing simulator about, at least on the 360. None of the achievements are particularly challenging, but expect to be playing a long time to max this one out. The DLC doesn't offer any challenge in regard to achievements, but adds to the game in a big way as there are Porsches everywhere once you have it installed.

There are 58 achievements with a total of 1250 points

  • Complete the very first race in the game.

After you load up the game, they will put you in a one lap race on the Bernese Alps. You don't even have to come in first... just finish the race to unlock this achievement.

  • Reach Driver Level 1 in Career mode.

    Refer to "Driver Level 50".

  • Reach Driver Level 10 in Career mode.

    Refer to "Driver Level 50".

  • Reach Driver Level 20 in Career mode.

    Refer to "Driver Level 50".

  • Reach Driver Level 30 in Career mode.

    Refer to "Driver Level 50".

  • Reach Driver Level 40 in Career mode.

    Refer to "Driver Level 50".

  • Reach Driver Level 50 in Career mode.

As you play through Forza Motorsport 4 you will earn "Driver Level" and everything you do - online races, event select, and rivals mode, etc. - all contribute to this rank. All you have to pretty much do then is just play the game normally and this will come if you are going for the event completion or season achievements.

  • Finish 1st in every single race in the Event List in Career play mode.

This will probably be one of your last achievements in the game. This will most likely consume a lot of time too, but it will not be as bad when you are working towards all the other achievements. Just remember that the season races count towards the number of completed events in your event list, so try to change up your races in season to cover the most ground on this achievement.

  • Finish a race on every race track in Forza Motorsport 4.

You will get this playing through all of the game modes while going for the other achievements anyway, so there is no need to go out of your way or use a checklist on this one, just play the game normally and you will eventually unlock it.

  • Be the winning bidder on any "unicorn" car in the Auction House.

You can get this either one of two ways: You can import a save from FM3 that has VIP status. Or, you can get it the way the game suggests, by bidding on a "unicorn" car, which Turn 10 releases every so often (Note: that these cars are usually VERY expensive - and are usually hard to obtain.) As a side note, Unicorn Cars cannot be gifted or auctioned/sold by normal/VIP players only those at Turn 10 themselves can do this.

Here is a list of Unicorn Cars:

    • 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A
    • 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
    • 2007 Ferrari F430 Scuderia

  • Create a car tuning file for your car.

Just go to: Upgrade > Tune Setup > Start >Save Current Setup, then select an empty slot and save the tune.

  • Create a paint job or vinyl group for your car.

Just go to: Paint > Paint Car > Save To Current Car, and the achievement should unlock.

  • Upload a movie to Forzamotorsport.net.

Save a replay from any race, it can even be an online one. Once you do, from the career menu, go to My Profile > Media > My Replays > Select a replay > Load... then, when the clip loads, select the little film reel icon, crop the film, and upload a 5 second clip to https://www.forzamotorsport.net.

  • Sell a car tuning, paint job, or vinyl group from your storefront.

You can easily trade this with a partner, just put up a tune in the storefront for $1000 and have a friend buy it, and return the favor for them. If you do not know how to upload a tune, from the Main Menu go to: Community > Storefront > My Storefront >Press to upload a new tuning setup > name, price and place the tune - and once it sells on the storefront you will receive your achievement.

  • Complete the seventh year of Season Play.

    Refer to "Legend".

  • Elite

    25

Complete the eighth year of Season Play.

    Refer to "Legend".

  • Complete the ninth year of Season Play.

    Refer to "Legend".

  • Legend

    50

Complete the tenth year of Season Play.

Just complete year after year of season mode and you will eventually unlock this. Although the seasons get longer every time, they are still relatively short. It's a matter of just working through it, selecting a new race and then plodding on.

  • Reach 240 mph in any car.

Go into an online match, pick the SSC Ultimate Aero and for a track, pick the Old Le Mans track - not the Le Sarth one, as there are kinks in the straight that will not allow you to get up to speed. Doing it in this car is relatively easy, since it puts the Veyron to shame. If you have all of the add-ons, you can also use the Veyron Super Sport... use anything you want, it really doesn't matter to me.

  • Fully explore any car in Autovista.

No, you don't need Kinect for this achievement... When exploring the car in Autovista, just move around it slowly and make sure you click on everything, there should be multiple things on the outside and inside... like opening the trunk, hood and doors, checking the engine wheels and lights. You also have to sit in all the seats, turn the car on, get some narrative and closely inspect the engine. I also did the challenge for the vehicle, but I am not sure if that is part of the requirement for the achievement or not.

  • Take a photo of any car in every Home Space.

From the career screen, select Cars > Change Homespace, and make sure you are on the first one. Take a picture of your car (it doesn't have to get uploaded, only saved locally) and switch home-spaces to the next one in the queue... wash, rinse, and repeat. There are six home-spaces which should take less than 5 minutes to snap a photograph.

  • Complete a lap around the TopGear Test Track while driving a KIA cee'd.

You can either host a game online and do this, or you can do it in Rivals mode when going for the "Born Competitor" achievement.

  • Create or join a Car Club.

If you have friends who have the game, you can ask them for an invite to their club, or if you are one of those "lonely" types, you can just as easily make your own club since they don't cost any money and don't have a prerequisite rank.

  • Share a car in your garage with your Car Club.

Just go to your club garage and share a stupid car (if you only want the achievement, and are not really using the club feature with other people). If you are, you should try to help out your club and share cars that people may need for the event select or the season mode.

  • Complete 10 Autocross events without hitting gate cones.

There are Autocross events in the Rivals mode, and there are exactly 10 events, just perfect them and you will get the achievement. Also, you will be knocking out a good chunk of "Born Competitor" this way. You can also replay any race as many times as you want. I find the quickest and easiest way is to use the Ferrari 360 Modena on the Laguna Seca track in Rivals mode.

  • Reach 88 mph in a DeLorean.

Take the DeLorean on the Nurburgring, whip a 180 at the start and peg it down the back stretch.

  • Visit the Message Center on at least five unique days.

This one is pretty much self explanatory, and I am pretty sure you have to be connected to Live to do this, since Turn 10 issues you a daily bonus when accessing the community section. Just visit your Message Center () on five separate days.

  • Create a custom playercard with badges and titles.

Play Career > My Profile > Edit Playercard... I am pretty sure you can figure it out from here.

  • Race and defeat an opponent in Rivals mode.

Go to the rivals mode and select a race, an opponent will automatically be chosen for you and they usually aren't the greatest. Beat the (generous) time that they give you and earn yourself a pretty little 10 Gamerscore.

  • Beat a Ferrari 330 P4 in any race while driving a Ford GT40 Mark II.

Just get a friend to go online and do a lap of the speedway in the Ferrari and beat him... or if you don't have any friends and are feeling up for a challenge, you can always find ways to earn this by yourself, I'm sure of it. It's simple, find someone who's in the Ferrari 330 P4 and then beat them in the Ford GT40 Mark II - that's the hard part though.

  • Earn a perfect Drift score.

Earn 5000 points in a single drift. Easiest thing is to go on the Catalunya School Circuit with a car that has a little over 500hp and preferably tuned for drift. You should be able to search the Marketplace for a free drift tune, or there are some cars that you can use like a Pontiac GTO or Shelby Daytona that actually drift quite well.

  • Earn a perfect Turn score.

Just use and follow the proper racing line through the track, while maintaining a good amount of speed.

  • Earn a perfect Speed score.

You should be able to get this one here when going for the "Speed Demon" achievement.

  • Earn a perfect Pass score.

This one should come to you randomly while playing, it is easiest to get this achievement when starting from the back of the pack. Just pass a few AI while getting close, but without touching them.

  • Earn a perfect Draft score.

This one should come to you randomly while playing as well. It is easiest to get this achievement when you are on a track that has a long straight, like Nurburgring or the Old Le Mans. Just stay behind the leader of the pack and try not to touch anything, while staying close to his back bumper.

  • Own the five most expensive cars in the game (not including DLC).

You pretty much have to accumulate 38 million credits to unlock this achievement, and then waste it all on stupid cars that you probably don't care about. The easy thing about this is that you do actually get one of the cars, the 330 P4 at Driver Level 30, so that is 9 mil you can keep in your pocket. If you want to keep the other 29 mil in your pocket just buy 12 car tokens which will cost you 800msp for 13 tokens - don't do that though, you only encourage Microsoft to keep on doing such underhand tactics. Just waste in-game credits... after all, it's better to spend fake money than real money.

The 5 cars in the list for the achievement are as follows:

    1964 Ferrari 250 GTO - 10 million credits
    1967 Ferrari 330 P4 - 9 million credits
    1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rosa - 8 million credits
    1958 Aston Martin DBR1 - 6 million credits
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona - 5 million credits

  • Use Kinect to drive any car in Free Play.

You DO need the Kinect for this achievement, luckily enough my sisterhad  a Kinect... if you are not as fortunate you may have to bring your gamertag and save with you to a friend's house and use their Kinect, or just buy one for the achievement... which is a bit like overkill if you ask us. For the achievement, simply use Kinect to steer the car in Free Play... then never use it with the game again.

  • Get any Car Manufacturer to Affinity level 50.

I can guarantee you that this will be one of your last achievements, as this is rumored to take absolutely forever. Even Turn 10 stated that their goal was to have less that 1 percent of people attain this in under a 24 month period. I for one don't think that it will take that long. Just stick to races that net you bonus Affinity points, and of course, try to stick to only a few of the manufacturers. Stay loyal!

  • Post a time in every Rivals mode event.

Pretty self-explanatory, just go to Rivals mode, select the first group, then the first race, and keep moving down each list in the order, that is how I did it.

  • Import a file from Forza Motorsport 3.

Luckily enough I was a big Forza addict before this game and I just happened to have a save on my HDD from FM3. If you don't, just rent the game or borrow it from a friend. Simples.

  • Knock down a gold bowling pin in Car Bowling.

Just do a bowling event on the Top Gear Track and knock down a gold pin. If you are playing through the Season, you should get to attempt this pretty early on, and it is pretty much impossible to miss every golden pin... so you should at least hit one and get this. Pretty much a free achievement.

  • Own every Ferrari included on Disc 1.

Here is the full Ferrari list, own them all and get yourself this achievement:

    1969 Dino 264 GT - 55,000
    1957 Ferrari 250 California - 3 million
    1957 250 TR - 8million

    2009 California - 220,000
    1984 GTO - 320,000
