Introduction:
Gauntlet isn't a very hard game. The hardest part is staying awake while playing! It's very time consuming. The two missable achievements are "Anti-Thief" and "Treasure". If you complete a playthrough without either of those achievements, you will have to re-start. You should also take note that the chances of finding an online game on your own is about zero to none. You'll have to get some friends together to play online which could be very difficult.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
You should start the game by choosing a character. They are all a little different so see the achievement guide for a brief description of each. Once you've chosen a character, keep in mind that once you earn the "Master" achievement for that character, it's best to die without earning anymore points as it will make earning the "Master" achievements for the other three characters that much easier. Somewhere along the way, whether it's before or after earning all of the Master achievements, you should finish level 100 and earn your "Game Master" achievement.
Be sure to keep an eye out once you hit level 10 for a small blue enemy to enter a level, bump into you and steal an item. Once you spot the enemy, it's best to prepare and kill him. He's a Thief.
Once you complete level 10, you'll enter a treasure level. There are no enemies but there are tons of treasure chests. Be sure to collect 11 treasures before exiting the level to get your "Treasure" achievement. If you don't collect 11 treasures and exit the level before the time runs out, you'll have to either continue the game and wait for another Treasure level or re-start your game and play all the way through level 10 and give it another try.
The online achievements will require a bit of communication. You'll need 4 players for 1 of the achievements. The others can be obtained with only two players but are made slightly easier with 4 players. Be sure to grab as many treasure chests as you can as you'll need 10 for the "Bling" achievement. Try not to die as you'll loose points and one achievement requires you to obtain 100,000 points. When in doubt, run away. It's cowardly but at least you won't lose the points.
Conclusion:
All in all, Gauntlet isn't a bad game and it's achievements are relatively easy. The hardest part is definitely fighting to stay awake while playing.
