In the Main Menu, press the X button to open up your Roster, and then tap the right bumper to bring up your friend’s list. In this menu, you’ll be able to see which of your friends are currently playing Halo 5: Guardians. Select the name of any friend who is playing and then press the A button to spectate their game.
Take note, this only works if they are playing an online Multiplayer game! In the event that there is nobody on your friend’s list playing the game, or at least playing Multiplayer, you can always tab over once more to "Recent" and try spectating a game from a player on this "recent friends" list. Once the match begins to load, the achievement will unlock right away.
