Introduction:
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, the dark fantasy, psychological action title from Ninja Theory, has finally landed on Xbox One after its initial PlayStation 4 and PC release in August 2017. In Hellblade, players assume the role of Senua, a Pict warrior on a journey to Helheim to save the soul of her lover. The game blends several genres together, including hack and slash, puzzle, and horror. The achievement list is mostly story-related and everything can be completed in about eight hours.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Play through the game at your own pace. Since there are no difficulty-related achievements, you may choose to play on Easy if you desire. There are a total of thirteen achievements that you will obtain naturally as you progress through the narrative and complete the game.

There is one achievement, "Stories From the North," which requires you to collect forty-four collectibles known as Lorestones. These collectibles are, more or less, on the main path to your objective in each chapter but can be missed. Without any chapter select option available, you will need to start a new playthrough if you progress to far and miss any one Lorestone. Fortunately, any Lorestones you have already obtained will carry over into a new playthrough.

Conclusion:
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an unparalleled and thrilling experience. Though the game's combat leaves room for improvement, its narrative and character writing are extremely nuanced and thought-provoking. The achievement list is very easy, too, since almost everything is a story-related.

  • Defeat Fenrir

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

Once you have arrived in Helheim, you will soon learn of Fenrir, a horrifying monstrosity that attacks from the shadows. This chapter is very intense because you will experience intense trauma and die if you stay in the darkness for too long during your travels. As such, make use of your torch, beams of light, and fire braziers whenever you can to stay alive. Eventually, after passing through three sets of puzzle doors, you will reach Fenrir's lair for a battle. The achievement will unlock after defeating him.

  • Confront Hela

This achievement is story-related and cannot be missed.

At the end of the game, you will confront Hela once more and partake in one final battle. This finale consists of three "phases." In Phase 1, you must defend yourself from an onslaught of various variants of enemies. In Phase 2, you will fight "shadow" variants of the three main bosses you previously encountered; dodge their attacks and use your focus ability when available to cut them down quickly. In Phase 3, succumb to the enemies and the battle will end, thus unlocking the achievement.

  • Collect all of the Lorestones

    This achievement is missable.

In Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, there are a total of 44 Lorestones that you will need to collect for this achievement. These collectibles are large standing stones that will typically be found along the main path through each chapter.

Each Lorestone has a glowing red-orange ring around it. Along the ring are a series of letters, followed by a dot; the letters represent each collectible and the dots mark the end of a chapter. The letters will turn white once you focus on the Lorestone. If you miss a Lorestone during your playthrough, its corresponding letter will remain orange. Take note that there is no chapter select; if you miss a Lorestone and complete a chapter, you will need to start a new playthrough (fortunately, already collected Lorestones will carry over into new playthroughs).

As to avoid an additional playthrough solely for collectibles, it's encouraged to follow the video guide below during your initial playthrough, courtesy of PowerPyx and free of any story spoilers, for the location of all 44 Lorestones in the game.
